ABOUT ME

Call me Ky (rhymes with eye)

I'm 22 & a libra

I've had a tumblr since middle school

This is my 1st time being interactive with others on this app so please be sweet

I literally made this as like a low-key rant diary/Void to scream my interests & thoughts because life,years of trauma,& damn near crippling anxiety has fucked up my social skills & I just need an outlet. I don't expect I guess anyone to respond to this. I just don't want to continue being alone with my feelings & I think this could be a place to start. If anyone does respond to this you're welcome to comment (within reason & with kindness I beg of you),but be warned I'm super shy/anxious & will shy away from responding to messages (think of me as a scared stray & don't shake your pet food can at me too intently). I just want to get all my jitters/hyperfixations/Madness/general feelings & ickiness out. Also just an FYI dni if you're a minor/uncomfortable or triggered of talks of abuse & mental illness/a bigot of any kind/sex stuff (I'm not gonna go on about my nonexistent intimate life don't worry. I don't even really talk about sex like that I just have an interest in femdom stuff from time to time (me being the dom) & I think the psychology of it is interesting as well as the dynamic).

I like most MCU & DCEU movies (I owned a tumblr in the mid to late 2010s I'm practically a veteran. But I will say I have more nostalgia for the older mcu movies,but I kind of fell off in the past few years of fond remembrance outside of fandom for it as a whole. I actually really enjoy most of the new stuff (all of the shows except fatws/some of the 1st season of loki)

I just recently got back into reading recently & I have a fuckton of books to start reading.

I flit from fandom to fandom,even returning to old ones. Anything that catches my interest & becomes my new hyperfixation. I usually juggle between a few at a time. Usually games/movies/anime. Also obviously I read fanfic on tumblr (duh).

Final notes: I like history/mythology/polytheism/writing/media/cooking/baking/winter/nature/animals & I'm a dog mom. His name is anubis & he's a dalmatian.

What I have made in the past year! Some of these things were presents, which is why I can't photograph them all together 😂🙃

What I was able to do:

1. My first cross stitch piece in many many years,

I made this one last March and I found the little squirrel pattern here on Tumblr, and the border is a free pattern from the DMC. This piece took me about 2 days to finish

2. A bigger cross stitch, and the first time I have done french knots

I didn't want to do the french knots at first, but I am really glad that I tried to do them! I got this pattern for free from the DMC. This piece took me a week to finish

3. A 6 month temperature blanket, which is where you take the high of the temperature for where you live, and knit with the corresponding color.

This is the first big knitting project I have ever done. I have only ever done scarves and a few baby blankets. It was so fun to do, even if it ended up taking me 7 months to make

4, 5, and 6. These are all shawls that I did with the same pattern

The blue yarn was the easiest to work with, while the rainbow one was the hardest. Each took me about a month to do, and look truly wonderful on

7. Was the huge cross stitch piece that was supposed to be a holiday present for my Dad, but he didn't end up getting it until almost March of this year

His favorite movie is The Princess Bride, so it only made sense to cross stitch the first edition of the book. Mom thought about buying the first edition, until she saw that it was $1,500 and noped out of there really fast. This took me 163 days to complete

8. Is a very small cross stitch for my Mom for Mother's Day cause I wasn't able to make her a cross stitch for the holidays

She loves Nightmare Before Christmas, and I found a little cross stitch kit at Target. This one took me 2 hours, and it would have been quicker if I hadn't tried to do it right before I went to bed

9 and 10. A friend of my Mom's saw that I loved to cross stitch, so she gave me all of her mother's embroidery floss, a bunch of hoops, and a stool. There were also some half finished handkerchiefs in there. The border was already done, but I felt like they were missing something in the middle

So I tried my hand at embroidery for the first time and stitched these! I penciled what shape I wanted in, and I think they came out looking pretty nifty! These each took about 4 or 5 hours

11. I made a super small baby blanket or lap blanket from the same blue yarn that I made the shawl out of. My boyfriend did a few rows, as he was quite curious about knitting. The only problem is that he is 6'6" and has really big hands and couldn't get the needles to work 😂

I'm not sure if you've answered this before, but I saw you recommended a BNHA Aizawa fic a while back. I didn't know you were in that fandom! What other fandoms are you familiar with besides YYH, Inuyasha, BNHA, and Cowboy Bebop?

Great question!

So. YYH is my “home base” fandom. It’s my favorite of them all and the one I write for most (clearly), and this has been true for years and years—since I first started writing fic in middle/high school, in fact. YYH wasn’t the first fandom I wrote for (DMC takes that honor), but it’s definitely the one that most inspires me. It’s rare I write for other fandoms (the Bebop fic, for instance, is an unusual departure), but occasionally I do read work in the following:

[Confession: I really like BNHA but I’m not caught up with the current season. I typically read fics in that fandom from authors I’ve already read in other fandoms (mainly YYH), and I don’t go searching through the archives for much to read. The author of that BNHA fic you mentioned, @tackyink, wrote a fantastic YYH fic, so I knew her work in BNHA would be worth the investment. I’m not sure if this makes me a true part of the fandom, but I definitely appreciate the show! (Also I was reading a crossover with BNHA and Cardcaptor Sakura the other day that was WILD; need to find it again. Lost the link…) I’m like this with a lot of my non-YYH fandoms, truth be told. I don’t go searching for fics but I’ll read them if they’re written by someone I already trust or if they’re recommended to me. So feel free to recommend fics if you think I’d like them, because that’s generally how I best find new reading material. ♥]
