what is your opinion on barty and evan using nicknames or pet names? rosie? bee? bat? ev? evs? babe? love? what are they calling each other in your mind?????

im thinking of one of nabokov's letters to vera, where he says: "You can be bruised by an ugly diminutive — because you are so absolutely resonant — like seawater, my lovely"

that's how i see most rosekiller nicknames.... "rosie" is the undefeated classic, and i like it for being a little old-fashioned? barty uses nicknames to harangue/be annoying ("babe" "blondie"), but i think the ones he uses SINCERELY are very different. the way barty uses pet-names is fretful & uncharacteristically sweet.. "petal" is good. "little one" is something that slips out in private ("have you eaten, little one?")

evan isn't a nickname person to me. the transition from "crouch" -> "barty" is already a big enough deal. anything cloying grates on him. but i picture terms of endearment slipping out of him when he's tired or really worked up. i picture him using one (sweetheart? pet?) when tugging at barty's sleeve, frowning & quietly asking him for something (the something is: exhuming a diseased corpse from nearby gravesite)

Sage 🤝Dolly being suppliers for Howdy lmao

since Sage is a gardener, i figured she and Howdy often trade produce and stuff, so Sage is one of Howdy's main suppliers for fresh produce. maybe also flower arrangements, though i haven't decided if he gets those directly from Sage or if maybe Julie is also involved however, to get stuff like teas or certain plant mixes or gardening stuff or anything custom, you'd have to go to Sage herself! she 100% sells some of her stuff too -w- has her own teeny shop and everything, though its not nearly as big as the Bugdega. she makes and sells really good lavender syrup :D and dandelion honey!! Poppy loves to use them

anywho!! Dolly Delight here belongs to @nonomives!! a bright lil bee miss!! Sage would love being friends with her, i bet -w- (she'd get along really well with Rosemary >:3)

Also funny how while Ketheric is my least favorite villain from the Dead Three Chosen, he def is the one I respect the most.

All posts for the Shadow Puppets AU are going to be completely out of any kind of order, by the way. My sister and I are role playing it on a private discord server and outside of lore dump posts, I’m only drawing proper sequences/comics out of scenes that stick out to me. We have like five threads going, all at different points in the time-line. 

I might do little doodles from time to time as well, and of course my sister and I both have some non-canon silly stuff too.
