I really like the idea of 37 being a self-centered, insensitive person that only has her own self interest and thoughts as priority with a hint of a god complex. Like many in the arcanist roster, it'd be nice to have more three dimensional characters with their personality not being fully "appealing" you could say.

Given the environment she grew up in after the loss of her mother, people truly did turn to her prowess like a messiah. While she's confident and clearly proud of her capabilities, easily filling the role needed, she's naive and childish, lacking in the "worldly knowledge of matters" and mainly focuses on her work and what she believes is important; numbers and things that can involve herself.

Doesn't help she's raised in a cultish community where her expertise in math is near invaluable, she's a prime number, and the only one that ever tried to see if she'd want to seek things beyond her realms of opinion is her childhood friend who immediately set that thought to the wayside to support 37's greater and more "divine" purpose of sorts.

Read a lot of the Vertin and Sonetto parallels between the two, but Sophia and 37 feels like a more terrible outcome version of the two in the sense that they've been confined too much into their roles and left no room for massive improvements. They're changing, but like their isolation in the island, it stunts their potential to grow in leaps and bounds.

Besides, I just think it's more appealing to have a wide arrange of "morally grey" characters in the suitcase gang who aren't so in it for the betterment of the whole world and just there for their own set goals and aspirations that just so happen to help said world (which there are some and I love the game for doing that).

37's self aware in most cases of people's disdain for her character like 210. (without him acknowledging the fact it's the caste system itself that has placed them in their position and he shouldn't be so bitter about 37 being born into her role like everyone in Apeiron) and I like how she could care less about people's opinions of others to the point she flat out ignores people's opinion over her own entirely. As well as the fact she's slowly learning to start caring about what people say. The baby step growth is what I like to see in these wild mix of complex characters.

I don't actually think phoenix thought miles edgeworth was dead post aa1

- gumshoe must have been way too suspicious (and not crying enough)

- no funeral, nothing, no details, way too secretive

- he literally says that miles was dead "to him" and that he "never wanted to see him again"

- this just makes a lot more sense for his arc i am begging you, aa2 is NOT about phoenix being a poor little guy who is unrightfully betrayed by his friend, aa2 is about phoenix coming to terms with the reality of things and that not everything is always black and white

He WANTED to it to be black and white. He thought miles left me, he's dead to me. But it's NOT. He's in DENIAL, that's the point, that's the whole point. Miles managed to get by on his own. He managed to be okay. Without phoenix

Phoenix had his major i can save him attitude in aa1 and he NEEDED this reality check. He was kind of obsessed with edgeworth (wether romantically or not is entirely irrelevant) and he Literally said he's the only one who can save him. And while he was actually RIGHT, that wasn't the point. The point was that it's not that simple and while he changed miles' life, miles was able to continue living it on his own and phoenix needed to realize that

Yeah the way miles left fucking sucked, but i think they kinda needed that. Phoenix depends a lot on other people, he literally falls into a depression after maya leaves post aa1. Plus, his miles thing was sort of.... Done? Or at least on halt. This was the Reason he became a lawyer and now there was neither a goal (miles) nor someone to walk the path with (maya). This kind of dependancy is Not good. So miles leaving, while it was extremely harsh, way absolutely necessary

And i think erasing the psyche behind this in favor of a dramatic fake death is... Kinda sad

Phoenix was so MAD at miles, That was the point. He was heartbroken because he was left, because he felt betrayed and not because he lost someone. This is a big difference and you can see this SO CLEARLY in the game

Sure, phoenix has a right to be mad at miles, to an extend. But this wasn't about him having a right to be mad, this was about phoenix feeling entitled to miles' personal life and personal development. If you say he thought he was dead, then you erase the whole aspect of Phoenix letting himself be lead too much by his emotions and not thinking rationally enough. WHICH IS THE WHOLE POINT OF HIS ARC IN AA2.

Sure. Grief is also a theme in this game. And i'm not saying phoenix ISN'T grieving miles. And i know that it also parallels the cases in the way of grieving people being consumed by anger. But it's different with phoenix because he's mad AT edgeworth. So it only makes sense for this to be combined with the theme of phoenix Being Wrong because he's Extremely Emotional

If he ends up just being mad bc he fakes his death, what's wrong about that? Of course he's also entitled to being mad at miles for leaving like this, but like i said - it's not black and white (like it would be in a fake death scenario). Miles had his reasons for what he did, he wanted distance and even though the way he left wasn't nice, the idea was truly his right (not saying that miles is not to blame here. I'm just saying they do the weirdest shit but it just always Works)

It also parallels franziska feeling left behind by miles, but that's a different story

Basically yesh i think it's implied that he didn't really think miles was dead and also it would make so much more sense for their relationship and devlopment as phoenix learning to see things with more nuance is literally an essential part of the second game and his entire character arc

This is a funny ask to me, because well, that's somewhat the intent on Keeper !

I wanna talk about it a little actually, I think I mentionned it before, but my main inspiration behind Keeper was... Seeing the world in total chaos and all the edgy AUs

We are in an era where everything is just worse case scenarios, one after the other, all the time

It's exhausting

Add to that the high number of edgy aus that where born in the past few month

So much violence ! So much angst ! So much sadness !

I wanted to make a character to "restore the balance"

Provide pure comfort (at least out of the Out of Bound storyline, get your mug of tears ready for that)

Something that make people feel like they have somewhere to go mentally to rest. You can imagine yourself right there, in Keeper's space ! And Keeper will be there taking care of you ! Giving you hugs !

It's totally okay to see her as a mom or a friend or that nice little old lady neighbours that gives you cookies sometimes

She's a big giant ball of fluff ! And it makes me happy to know that some find comfort in this AU

Even if in the end my AU won't be that well known by everyone, providing comfort to the mind what the intent of Keeper, she's the Multiverse Mom and you are all her Little Ones !

My my, I talk a lot, but I don't get to extend my thoughts that much about her haha, because of the twitter limit yk

Tho, while I'm here, I'd like to remind that this is simply an AU, and the original concept of Poppy still belongs to Clown !

I had a fucked up day at work today that sent my anxiety off the charts.

But at the same I witnessed some of the greatest displays of affection from my office buddies in response to the situation. I'm so grateful to have them around.

If you find yourselves encountering such people - irl or online -, hold them close. Tell them how lucky you're to know them. Appreciate their effort and company. Learn what their favourite hot beverage is, ask them how their family is doing. Help them out when they're in need. Give them words of courage when fear sets in. Let them ramble - or cry - when emotions flood all over.

And try escaping the 'I'm screwing everything up' mindset. Chances are you're not, you're just tired and overworked, but you're doing your best. A lil cup of warm tea, some breathing exercises, chocolate, a nice talk and...

As much as I love my hatchery right now, it feels super disorganized and all over the place. I wish I could formulate and stick to a theme, but I can't decide on a theme to save my life. Plus I'd have to get rid of pairs, but I've put a lot of work into all of them and I can't bring myself to give them away. Still, I haven't bred some of them in months and they take up hibden space. And all the pairs I wish I could make have pretty rare color combos that would take so much work to make.

Psych has potential to be the most on crack Death Note AU in existence. Psych x Death Note in any capacity is comedy gold, but as a Death Note AU, the potential is just there.

Imagine it with me now:

- At some point in arc 1, Light decides to lie his ass off and pretend to be a psychic. The reason could range from damage control in case of a potential slip of the tongue, or literally just to fuck with L. (Light thought building a bomb in his desk was normal, the possibilities are endless with this man.) - L knows this is bullshit from the start but like with the whole Kira thing, can’t prove it. - Almost everyone else decides to roll with this because “why would you lie about this? Being a psychic in this case looks SUPER suspicious, but also too suspicious to actually be Kira.” - They do have their own opinions on this, ranging from Matsuda finding it really cool to Aizawa always having doubts, but keeping relatively quiet about it (arc 2 would be where that part starts to change). - Eventually, it’s decided that if Light’s a psychic and supposedly not Kira, maybe he can help solve the Kira case with this ability. It’s framed as an attempt to fight fire with fire, but it’s actually L upping the ante on their cat and mouse game. Either Light gives up information or exposes himself as a fraud. - Light could use Misa to keep up the ruse, depending on the story arc this could be anything from creating fake scenarios, to gathering information on Higuchi and informing Light in secret. Then again he could also just keep pulling all the nonsense he usually does and get the same result. - Ryuk also keeps getting dragged into all of Light’s shenanigans. Despite making it clear to Light he’s not going to help him, he somehow ends up doing it anyway. - Meanwhile Light's Dad spends the whole time either suffering immensely because he knows this is bullshit, or really confused about how his son being a whole ass psychic slipped under the parenting radar. - And Light can’t stop the ruse once L’s out of the way. No, he's gonna need to keep that shit going for five years until arc 2. That would probably be when the typical Psych shenanigans really kick into high gear.
