I’m convinced that their first kiss in canon was just before suletta tries to pair with the other gundam suit and miorine goes to talk to her and suletta has a tomato with her so they talk about that and miorine takes a bite and it cuts away. I think miorine offers suletta the tomato as well and she also takes a bite and then miorine can’t help it anymore she’s been pushing her away for so long but now suletta might die so she pulls her in and kisses her and they stop denying their feelings and miorine tells her she doesn’t want her to die and suletta says she doesn’t want miorine to die either and that’s why she’s doing this, to protect her, please let her do this, and miorine kisses her again and suletta promises she’ll be ok and miorine says you can’t promise that and suletta says i know, but i don’t know if i can do this without you. So miorine goes with her and stays strong for her but as soon as suletta clears permet score 5 she bursts into tears because she’s finally letting herself feel instead of denying it and pushing it down and she could have lost her right then and there so she cries because she didn’t and she knows suletta is strong and they’re both going to do everything they can to finally get married and settle down together after all this is over

I really like the idea of 37 being a self-centered, insensitive person that only has her own self interest and thoughts as priority with a hint of a god complex. Like many in the arcanist roster, it'd be nice to have more three dimensional characters with their personality not being fully "appealing" you could say.

Given the environment she grew up in after the loss of her mother, people truly did turn to her prowess like a messiah. While she's confident and clearly proud of her capabilities, easily filling the role needed, she's naive and childish, lacking in the "worldly knowledge of matters" and mainly focuses on her work and what she believes is important; numbers and things that can involve herself.

Doesn't help she's raised in a cultish community where her expertise in math is near invaluable, she's a prime number, and the only one that ever tried to see if she'd want to seek things beyond her realms of opinion is her childhood friend who immediately set that thought to the wayside to support 37's greater and more "divine" purpose of sorts.

Read a lot of the Vertin and Sonetto parallels between the two, but Sophia and 37 feels like a more terrible outcome version of the two in the sense that they've been confined too much into their roles and left no room for massive improvements. They're changing, but like their isolation in the island, it stunts their potential to grow in leaps and bounds.

Besides, I just think it's more appealing to have a wide arrange of "morally grey" characters in the suitcase gang who aren't so in it for the betterment of the whole world and just there for their own set goals and aspirations that just so happen to help said world (which there are some and I love the game for doing that).

37's self aware in most cases of people's disdain for her character like 210. (without him acknowledging the fact it's the caste system itself that has placed them in their position and he shouldn't be so bitter about 37 being born into her role like everyone in Apeiron) and I like how she could care less about people's opinions of others to the point she flat out ignores people's opinion over her own entirely. As well as the fact she's slowly learning to start caring about what people say. The baby step growth is what I like to see in these wild mix of complex characters.

i'm a few years late to the party, but since i finished gotham knights yesterday i wanted to write down my thoughts on it

there is a lot of criticism about this game, and while i agree with some points, it seems like most of it stems from people expecting it to be something that is is not. as fantastic as the batman arkham games are, gotham knights is not an arkham game. it's inevitable that you start comparing the games (it happened to me too; my arkham city muscle memory caused me to be pretty bad at the combat at first since the games do differ a lot in that regard lmao) but almost every game will fall short if you hold it up to such a high standard

seriously i don't understand why anyone would call the graphics/desgin bad ? all the characters look great and there are so many ways to customize your character ! also just look at this

it perfectly captures the foggy, rainy, slightly grimy feel that gotham has without making my eyes strain trying to see in the darkness lol. the neon lights look so cool ! definitely spent way too long just staring at the skyline.

(also shoutout to this game for having the only version of a lazarus pit so far that made me go "oh yeah i get it i would also walk into that enticing if slightly questionable liquid" lmao, it looks so pretty)

i wish the game would have leaned more into developing its main characters and their relationships with each other. the developers really understood the essence of each bat, and the interactions we get between them are some of the best parts the game has to offer ! unfortunately it rarely feels like they are working as a team, let alone as a family, which is heavily underlined by the main story at the end.

(okay but was i the only one who felt like jason was the studio's favourite ?? a lot of the times he was the focus, and even when i only played as tim i felt like i learned more about jason than anyone else lmao. i love him and it's cool to have him in the spotlight, but i wish that the others would have gotten the same treatment)

i do have some strong opinions about the story itself but this post is long enough as it is

but all around i thought it was a pretty solid game ! i enjoyed playing it, the combat was smooth, the animations never stopped looking badass and the story had me invested enough to keep exploring and finding out more

The plot so far is this. In 2009, Thatcher is looking for Ruth, whose last known location is a middle of nowhere "fishing town". The locals seem. Nice enough. Sure they. Look at him strangely and some seem to hate him for seemingly no reason but. Atleast he's managed to befriend local store owner Dave Lee. The truth of the small town? Over half of the population are lake dwelling fish/aquatic non mammal-people, and the lake in the center of the town houses an elder god that gifts them aquatic attributes in a baptism held at the age of 20.

Fun fact. This was made 3 days ago and we're already feral over it. You will start seeing things for it soon. Be prepared.

@acrownforaking for writing "Intervention," which triggered my sudden epiphany of "Isekai Fanfic: It's Not Just for Fantasy RPGs Anymore!"

@sugaredoleander for graciously volunteering her med student knowledge to House MD fanfic authors and for already answering my zillion questions about hospital intake procedures, immunology, etc. I wouldn't have been able to even get started writing without her preliminary input on my plot's foundational premises.

@oddlittlestories for diving into the scenario and giving me a bunch of great ideas about the potential unintended consequences of diverging from canon. Coming up with those is one of my biggest challenges for writing an authentic author-self-insert fic, because if IRL!me is able to think them up well enough to write them, then presumably fic!me should be able to anticipate them, right?

I know we're all just random internet strangers to each other, but your enthusiasm was literally contagious. :) This is the first time in like two months that I've felt excited about doing something creative instead of just spending all day rotting in bed watching TV, doomscrolling, and ruminating.
