my personal hc for why Felix is Like That

Today is the day I talk about Eugene Finch being autistic. Today. Today is the day. He's. He is autistic. My evidence:

1) flat affect. He's not a super expressive person even when he's feeling big emotions and his voice is generally the same/similar in tone and pitch, regardless of what/when/where he's talking. Not to say he's expressionless, that's not what having a flat affect is in the slightest. He simply doesn't express emotions in your standard way

2) he has a strong sense of morality. This is a man who, upon the prospect of having forgotten doing something bad, offered to give himself up to the police (but also was ready to run if he was justified). Also a man who made a concerted effort to avoid capitalism in the world he literally built and upon failure took some time to seriously think about how to not let it happen again/whether he was even doing the right thing. Also a man who, upon hearing miserable spirits, set out to alleviate their suffering. Speaking of

3) strong sense of empathy/duty. He took it up on himself to make passage into the afterlife an enjoyable experience after hearing terrified dead people talk about their experiences.

4) described as just a little nerd who likes space and cats.
