For Christmas I got Octa something I had been eyeing up for a long time! . . Blocks seem like a silly thing to get excited about, but watching her build and play has been amazing. . . With the other kids I tended to buy more "structured" toys. But with Octa we have approached a more natural lifestyle, and as cliche as it sounds... you do the best you can with what you know, and when you know better you do better. . . I thought the more toys the kids had the happier they would be. But as we had more children the toys that are open ended, can be used for so many more things became more valuable. Realizing that just because it's a big name brand doesn't mean it's better. Price, doesn't mean it's better. Just because it's popular, doesn't mean it's better. . . These blocks have gotten the seven (even the older day home boys!) kids playing together, learning cause and effect, learning so much! The oldest of mine says "it's just like Minecraft" 😅😅😅 . .
