Urbanisation and Gentrification: The private building of stalls & shops (in yellow & orange) built sometime in 2018, replaced a one-story building. While another building to its right was replaced sometime between 2019-2020 by a low-rise office development painted in grey. Yába has been trying to densify itself for some years particularly with its proximity to the island from the mainland. Meanwhile a new bridge taking vehicles from Ojuelegba Road to Murtala Mohammed Highway, above the rail line is separating the visual connection from one road side of the Yába market from the other end of the road.
