why do shias not like abu bakr?
Usurped the caliphate from Imam Ali. (a) (see incident at Saqifah)
Refused to give Lady Fatimah (sa) her inheritance, which invoked her anger; the Prophet (sawas) said that anyone who angers his daughter, he invokes his anger and God's curse is upon those who angers the Prophet. (See: Sermon of Fadak)
During the first fitnah, Abu Bakr sent Khalid ibn Walid (la) to kill Malik ibn Nuwaiyrah, a loyal companion of the Prophet (sawas) and Ali (a), after he refused to pay the Zakat (almsgiving) as he did not recogize the rule of Abu Bakr. Khalid (la) killed Malik and subsequently r*ped his wife and took her as his bride. Instead of facing punishment, he was forgiven because "he was an important asset to the cause of Islam". (see Malik ibn Nuwaiyrah)
Sent Umar and various companions to force Ali (a) and Fatimah (sa) to swear their allegience to Abu Bakr. Threatened to burn the house down if they did not come out. As Umar and his minions attempted to barge into their home in the Prophet's mosque, the door was forced open and hit the womb of the Prophet's daughter (sa), leading to her miscarriage. She succumbed to her injuries six months later. (See: Attack of Fatimah's house)
Fatimah (sa) was buried in secrecy as she did not want Abu Bakr to know of it and attend her funeral prayer, hence why her grave is nowhere to be found even till this day.

The Chief of Staff for the Popular Mobilization Force (PMF) struck by the Israeli airstrike yesterday, Abu Fadak Al-Mohammedawi, claims to have discovered a fin as well as several other pieces of a GBU-12 Paveway II or lV Aerial Laser-Guided Bomb.
However judging by the Cyrillic lettering on the serial number, it’s more likely this is the remnant of a Russian K-13 SAM which could’ve been stored at the base.

~Mehsoos~
Agar fir kabhi tumhe Naa milu dobara mai,
To tum mujhe mehsoos krlena ...
un chai ki chuskiyon me, un chidiyo ki chehchahat me, un hungamo ke chupe hue sannate me, un daudte hue bachoo ki khilkhilahat me...
Tum mujhe mehsoos krlena
Us shor me jo kahi chupa baitha hai, is aas me ki koi use sun le...
Us kabootar me jo pinjare me fadak raha hai, is aas me koi to azaad karde...
Tum mujhe mehsoos krlena..
Un aasuon me jo tumne mujhe kabhi dikhaye hi nahi.. vo takleefe jo kabhi batayi hi nahi...
Un hatho me jinhe kabhi thama hi nahi gaya..
Un guldasto me jinhone muskaane kabhi dekhi hi nahi..
Tum mujhe mehsoos krlena
Qki mai har jagah rhugi.. tumhe dhudhte hue ganga ke us kinaare milugi..
Jaha humne ek chai ki chuski lene ka sapna sajaya tha..
Tumne mere balon me gajra lagaya tha..
Vo hawa jo mere balo ko sehlake gayi thi..
Vo bheeni bheeni khushbu jo hmare dil ko chu ke gyai thi... Un sab me.. tum mujhe mehsoos krlena

Never forget these three things;
I: Fadak - The property of Lady Fatima (sa) usurped by Omar Ibn Khattab
2: Ghadeer - Appointment of Ali (as) by Allah as the only caliph of nation.
3: Karbala - The unjust & brutal Murder of Imam Hussain (as) & his family by those who had hatred towards Ali (as).
Your Religion is incomplete without these three!

🍂🥀🍂 Fatima Zahra's (sa) 🍂🥀🍂
🥀 Will to Imam Ali (as) 🥀
Imam Ali (as) was surprised to find that his dear wife had left her bed and had started doing the housework; he asked her about it and she replied:
"This is the last day of my life. I want to wash my children's hair and clothes, because they will soon be orphans, without a mother!!"
Imam Ali (as) then asked her about the source of knowledge of this news
(the day of her departure).
She (sa) told him that she had seen the Messenger of Allah in her dream and he had told her that she was going to join him that night. She then asked Imam Ali (as) to execute her will.
He said:
"Instruct me to do anything you wish, daughter of Allah's Messenger."
Ali (as) then asked everyone to leave the house and he sat next to her.
Fatima (sa) started:
"Cousin, you are not accustomed to me being a False teller, undevoted, or have I disobeyed you since I have become your companion?"
Ali (as) said:
“Allah forbid!! You are more knowing of Allah, more devoted, more pious, and more honorable and more fearing of Allah than (to give me a reason) to reprimand you for disobeying me. Surely it is very painful for me to be separated from you and to lose you; but it is an inevitable destination. By Allah, you have renewed the sorrow I have just encountered with the death of Allah's Messenger; surely your death and departure will be a great calamity,
but to Allah do we belong, and to Him shall we return.'
What a painful, bitter and sad calamity. Surely this is a calamity for which there is not consolement, and a disaster for which there is no compensation."
Then they both cried and Imam Ali (as) embraced her head and said:
"Instruct me to do anything you wish; you certainly will find me devoted and I will execute everything that you command me to do. I shall also put your matters over mine."
She (sa) said:
"May Allah reward you with the best of goodness. Cousin, firstly I ask you to marry after my death, my niece Umamah; surely she will be to my children as I was. Besides, men cannot do without women."
Fatima (sa) then added:
"I ask you not to let anyone who did injustice to me to witness my funeral, for they certainly are enemies of mine, and the enemy of Allah's Messenger. Also don't give them the chance to pray over me, nor to any of their followers. Burry me at night when eyes are rested and sight is put to sleep."
Commenting on Imam Ali's speech after Fatima's burial, the commentator on Nahjul Balagha -
English version
published by Ansariyan Publication, (p.347) wrote:
"The treatment meted out to the daughter of the Prophet after his death has been extremely painful and sad.
Although Sayyedah Fatima (sa) did not live in this world more than a few months after the death of the Prophet (S), yet even this short period has a long tale of grief and woe (about her). In this connection, the first scene that strikes the eyes in that the arrangements for the funeral rites of the Prophet had not yet been made when the contest for power started in the Saqifa of Bani Sa'eda. Naturally, their leaving the body of the Prophet (without burial), must have injured Hadhrat Fatima's grief stricken heart to see that those who claimed love and attachment (to the Prophet) during his life, became so engrossed in their machinations for power that instead of consoling his only daughter, they did not even know when the Prophet (S) was given funeral bath and when he was buried; and the way they condoled her, was that crowded at her house with material to set fire to it and tried to secure allegiance by force with all the display of oppression, compulsion and violence. All these excesses were with a view to so obliterate the prestigious position of this house that it might not remain its lost prestige on any occasion. With this aim in view, in order to crush her economic position, her claim for (the estate of) Fadak was turned down by dubbing it as false, the effect of which was that Hadhrat Fatima (sa) made the dying will that none of them should attend her funeral."
Fatima Bint Muhammad (sa) was ready to meet her Lord. She bathed, than lay down in her garment... She then instructed Asma Bint Umais to wait a while and then to call her name; if there was no answer, this would mean that she (sa) had departed towards her Lord.
Asma waited awhile, then called Fatima's name... but there was no answer;
Asma repeated the call:
"O daughter of the chosen Muhammad!
O daughter of the most honorable of them whom women bore!
O daughter of the best of those who have walked on gravel!
O daughter of him who was at `A distance of but two bow lengths or (even) nearer"
(a Quranic verse, (53:9)
...There is no answer... silence overwhelms the house ...Asma then proceeds towards Fatima and finds her dead.
At that point, Hasan and Hussain (pbbuh) entered and asked:
"Where is our mother?"
Yet Asma uttered not a word!
Hasan and Hussain (as) proceeded towards their mother and found her dead. At this, Hussain (as) turned towards Hasan and said:
"May Allah console you for our Mother!"
Imam Ali (as) was at the Mosque. Hasan and Hussain (as) went to the Mosque and broke the news to their father. As soon as he (as) heard their words, he fell unconscious. When he regained consciousness, he said:
"Who will console me now, daughter of Muhammad (S) You used to console me, so who will take your place now?"
The Hashimite women were then gathered to receive the news of the great calamity... Yes, the calamity befell them once more, while the blood was still flowing from the wound of losing the Prophet...
Medina shakes...
Everyone came to console Ali (as) and his two children... Allah is with you,
Zahra's children...
It was just yesterday that you were inflicted with the death of your great father the Prophet of Allah and your new calamity is not any less than that one! But take patience, for this is the will of the Mighty Lord.
🕯
🕯🥀🕯 A QUIET FUNERAL 🕯🥀🕯
In the darkness of the jet black night, when eyes were asleep and voices were silent, a Heavenly procession left Ali's house while carrying the Messenger of Allah's daughter to her final abode.
This was on the night of the third (3rd) of Jamadi Al-Thani (the second), 11 A.H.
The heartbreaking procession moved towards an unknown location followed by a small number of devoted ones...
They were Ali, Hasan, Hussain, Zainab and Um Kulthum... Abu Dhar, Ammar, Miqdad, and Salman were following them. (pbbut)
Where are the thousands who inhabited Medina?!
One asks, and the answer came:
“Fatima (sa) requested that they may not be present at her funeral!!
The family and their friends hurry to bury Fatima... then they rush back to their own homes so that no one would know where Fatima was buried!
In such a matter, the first start from Ahlulbayt (as) set after the sun (the Prophet (S) and left everyone with the only light of Imamate!!
Here I was asked:
"What do you think about the end of the life of Fatima?
What will be the position of those who oppressed her in the hereafter!!!!?"
I waved my hand to him...
So long... with no word... dead silence...
So long!
But wait... can't you hear the Commander of the faithful... the known hero... Ali... Don't you realize that he is crying? Yet, who would not cry for being separated from the Mistress of women?
Listen to him, he is speaking to the Prophet (S):
"O Prophet of Allah, peace be upon you from me and from your daughter who has come to you and who has hastened to meet you. O Prophet of Allah! my patience about your chosen (daughter) has been exhausted and my power of endurance has weakened, except that I have ground for consolation in having endured the great hardship and heart rending event of your separation. I laid you down in your grave while your last breath had passed (when your head)
`Verily we are Allah's and verily unto Him shall we return.'
Holy Quran
(2:56)
…between my neck and chest.”
Now the trust has been returned and what had been given has been taken back. My grief knows no bounds, and my nights will remain sleepless till Allah chooses for me the house in which you are now residing. Certainly your daughter would apprise you of the joining together of your Ummah (people) for oppressing her. You ask her in detail and get all the news about the position. This happened when a long time had not elapsed and your remembrance had not disappeared. My salam be on you both, the salam of a grief stricken not of a disgusted or a hateful person; for if I go away, it is not because I am weary (of you); and if I stay, it is not due to lack of belief in what Allah has promised the endurers."
🕯
🥀🕯🥀 Failing Attempts 🥀🕯🥀
At sunrise people gathered to participate in Fatima's funeral, but they were informed that the darling of Allah's Messenger (S) had been secretly buried during the night.
Meanwhile, Ali (as) made the shapes of four fresh graves in Baqi' so as to conceal the location where Fatima (sa) was buried. When the people entered the graveyard, they were confused as to which spot was actually Lady Fatima Zahra's grave; the people turned towards each other and with feelings of guilt said:
"Our Prophet (S) has not left behind but one daughter, yet she has died and was buried without our participation in the funeral or the prayer rituals. We do not even realize the place where she has been buried”
Noticing that a revolt might be ignited because of the emotional atmosphere this event created, the governing party announced:
"Select a group of Muslim women and ask them to dig these graves so that we may find Fatima (sa) and perform prayers on her."
Yes! They attempted to execute the plan, violating Fatima's will and causing Ali's attempts to hide the grave to lay vainly.
Have they forgotten Ali's sharp sword and his well? known courage!! Did they really think that Ali would remain indifferent to their outrageous actions up to the point of letting them dig Fatima's grave?!
Imam Ali (as) did not fight back after the Prophet's death because he considered the Muslim's unity and over all interests. Yet, this did not mean that he would ignore their villainous crimes against Fatima even after her death. In other words, Ali (as) was asked by the Prophet (S) to have patience, but only to a certain extent; when Ali (as) received the news of the about to be executed plot, he put on his fighting gear and rushed towards Baqi'.
A man from among the people called out:
"This is Ali Ibn Abu Talib (as) leveling his sword and saying:
“If anyone moves even a mere stone from these graves, I shall strike even the "back of the last follower of the unjust."
People who realized Ali's seriousness, took his threats with complete belief that he would do just as he said if anyone were to oppose him. Yet, a man from the governing ones addressed Ali (as) by saying:
"What is the matter, Abu Al Hassan! By Allah, we shall dig her grave out and perform prayers on her."
Ali (as) then grabbed the man by his clothes, shook him and threw him to the ground and said:
"Son of the Sawada! I have abandoned my right to prevent people from forsaking their faith, but as regards Fatima's grave, by Him in whose hand is my soul, if you and your followers attempt to do anything to it, I will irrigate the ground with your blood!!"
At this, Abu Bakr said;
“Abu Al Hassan, I ask you by the right of Allah's Messenger, and by Him Who is above the Throne: leave him alone and we will not do anything which you would not approve of..."
Thus, until this day, the location of Fatima's grave remains a secret.

🕯🥀🕯 Fatima Zahra (sa) 🕯🥀🕯
🥀 On The Last Day 🥀
On the Day when the oppressed shall bite their hands (in fear); when the oppressors shall be gathered in humiliation and lowliness, remembering their disgraceful and shameful deeds:
Then every one of them shall review his file, which is packed with oppression against his chosen worshippers. On that Day shall every human, whatever color, creed, faith, and his deeds may be shall be gathered... no one will be left behind... even the fetus who was the victim of abortion shall come that Day to present his case...
Then the great personality of Lady Zahra (sa) shall become manifest to every soul...
Following are several narrations reported by Ahlulbayt (as) regarding
Fatima (sa) on the Last Day:
🕯 1. Hakim reported in
Al Mustadrak
(v.2, p.153) - that Ali (as) said:
"I heard the Prophet say:
“On the Day of Rising, a caller shall announce from beyond the veil:
“O gathered people, lower your eyes so that Fatima, the Daughter of Muhammad, may pass."
This narration has also been reported by:
Ibn Al Athir in Usd Al Ghaba
(v.5, p.523)
Ganji Shafiee in Kifayat At Talib
(p. 212)
Dhahabi in Mizan Al Etedal
(v.2, p.18)
and by
Hamwini in Yanabi' Al Mawaddah (p.104) - who added the following to it:
Ali (as) reported that the Prophet said:
"On the Day of Rising, a caller shall call from the sole of the Throne:
“O people of Resurrection, cast your eyes down, so that Fatima Bint Muhammad may pass while holding Al Hussain's shirt, which will (still) be saturated with blood.'
She will then embrace the leg of the Throne and say:
“O (Allah), You are the Omnipotent and Just; pass the judgment between me and those who killed my son."
(The Prophet (S) added):
Then He shall judge according to my Sunnah, by the Lord of Kaaba, Fatima will then say:
“O Allah! grant me intercedence for everyone who cried for his disaster; Allah will then grant her intercedence for them."
🕯 2. Abu No'eum in Dala'el Al Nobowwah, Ibn Hijr in Al Sawa'eq Al Mohreqah, and others have reported that Abu Ayuoub Ansari said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: A caller shall call from the sole of the Throne:
O gathered people, lower your heads and cast your eyes down so that Fatima Bint Muhammad (sa) may pass on the Path.
He added:
“She then passes accompanied by seventy thousand Huri Al Een, as if they were a flashing light."
🕯 3. Many Sunni Scholars have reported that Allah's Messenger stated that Lady Fatima Zahra (sa) shall arrive at the gathering place (while) riding Ghadha' or Gusua female camel.
🕯 4. Jaber Ibn Abdullah Ansari said:
"I said to Abu Ja’far (Al Baqer (A)):
“May I be your sacrifice son of Allah's Messenger; narrate to me a hadith in regard to the noble traits of your grandmother Fatima, so that if I report it to your Shiites (followers), they would rejoice at (hearing) it!”
Abu Ja’far (A) said:
“My father told me that my grandfather reported that Allah's Messenger said:
"On the Day of Rising, Minbars of light shall be erected for the prophets and messengers, of which my Minbar shall be the highest among all Minbars on that day.
Allah will then say:
Deliver a speech,' so I will deliver a speech that none of the prophets or messengers have ever heard. Then for the successors (of prophets) shall be erected Minbars of light, and in the middle of these Minbars one shall be erected for my successor, Ali Ibn Abu Talib, (as) which will be higher than all their Minbars.
Allah will then say:
“Ali, deliver a speech.'
So he will deliver a speech like no successor has ever heard before. Then for the children of the prophets and messengers shall be erected Minbars of light; among them shall be a Minber of light for my two sons, grandsons and the two flowers of my life (Imam Hasan (as) and Imam Hussain (as).
Then it shall be said to them:
“Deliver speeches."
So they will deliver two speeches like none of the children of the prophets and messengers have ever heard before!
“A caller Gabriel shall then call:
“Where is Fatima Bint Muhammad?
She (sa) will rise..." (until he said):
“Allah, the blessed and exalted is His Name, shall say:
“O people of the gathering; to whom does honor belong today?”
So Muhammad, Ali, Hasan and Hussain (as) will say:
“To Allah, The one, The Almighty”
‘Allah the Exalted will say:
“O people of the gathering: lower your heads and cast your eyes down, for this is Fatima proceeding towards Paradise.' Gabriel shall then bring her a female camel from the female camels of Paradise; its sides shall be embellished, its muzzle with fresh pearls, and it shall have a saddle of coral. It shall kneel down in her presence; so she will ride it. Allah will then send 100,000 angels to accompany her on her right side; and 100,000 angels to accompany her on her left side; and 100,000 angels to lift her onto their wings until they bring her to the gate of Paradise. When she is near the gate of Paradise, she will look to her side.
Allah will then say:
“Daughter of My beloved, why did you look to your side after I gave the command that you enter my Paradise?”
She will say:
“My Lord, I wished that my position would be realized on such a Day!"
Allah will say:
“Daughter of My beloved!
Go back and look for everyone in whose heart was love for you or for any of your progeny; take their hand and lead them into paradise!"
Abu Ja’far (A) said:
“By Allah; Jabir, she will pick her Shiites (followers) and those who love her just like a bird picks good seeds from bad seeds. So that when her Shiites are near the gate of Paradise, Allah will inspire their hearts to look to their sides; when they do -
Allah, The Almighty, will say:
“My beloved ones, why did you look around when Fatima, the daughter of my beloved one, interceded for you?'
They will answer:
“Our Lord! We hoped that our position would be known on such a day!'
Allah will then say:
“My beloved ones, go back and look for everyone who loved you for your love for Fatima;
Look for everyone who fed you for the love of Fatima;
Look for everyone who clothed you for the love of Fatima;
Look for everyone who gave you a drink for the love of Fatima;
Look for everyone who prevented (Gheeba) backbiting from being done against you for the love of Fatima...
Take their hands and lead them into Paradise...”
🕯 5. Ibn Abbas said:
“I heard Amir Al Mo'mineen, Ali (as) say:
“Once the Messenger of Allah entered the house of Fatima and found her in a sad mood.
So he said:
“What has made you sad daughter?'
Fatima replied:
“Father, I remembered the gathering (Day), and people standing naked on the Day of Resurrection!'
He said:
“Daughter, surely it will be a great Day. But Gabriel informed me that Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, said that the first one upon whom the ground shall be split opened is me, then your husband, Ali Ibn Abu Talib (as); then Allah shall send Gabriel accompanied by seventy thousand angels and he will erect on your grave seven domes of light, after which Israfil will bring you three garments of light and stand by your head and say to you:
“O Fatima Bint Muhammad, rise towards your gathering place.”
“You (Fatima) shall then rise secure from fear and veiled (in privacy). Israfil will hand you the garments and you will wear them. Rafael will then bring you a female camel of light; its muzzle shall be made of fresh pearls and on it shall be a howdan of gold. You will ride it and Rafael shall lead it by its muzzle while seventy thousand angels holding the banners of glorification accompany you. When the caravan hurries with you, seventy thousand Huris shall receive you rejoicing at seeing you; while every one of them will be holding a censer of light from which the fragrance of incense is spread without fire. They shall be wearing crowns of jewels embellished with green chrysolites."
🕯 6. Bihar al-Anwar
(v.10) - on the authority of Amali Sadouq reports that Imam Baqir (as) said:
"I heard Jabir Ibn Abdullah Ansari say:
Allah's Messenger said:
“On the Day of Rising, My daughter, Fatima, shall arrive riding a female camel from among the camels of Paradise to her right shall be seventy thousand angels and to her left shall also be seventy thousand angels; Gabriel will be holding its muzzle and calling with the loudest of voices:
`Cast down your eyes so that Fatima Bint Muhammad may pass!”
“Then shall no prophet, messenger, truthful one, or martyr remain without casting their eyes down until Fatima passes... Then a call shall come from the side of Allah, the Exalted:
“My beloved one and the daughter of my beloved one; ask Us and you shall be given (whatever you wish), and intercede, your intercedence shall be accepted. By my Honor and Exaltation, the oppression of no oppressor shall pass My (judgement) today.”
She (Fatima) will then say:
“O Allah, My Master;
My progeny, My Shiites (followers), the Shiites of my progeny, those who love me and those who love my progeny.”
She will then hear a call from Allah's side, may His Name be exalted:
"Where are Fatima's progeny, her Shiites, those who love her, and those who love her progeny?"
They will then come forward, surrounded by angels of mercy, and Fatima will lead them into Paradise.”

ETABLIR LA SOUNNA : Partie 2
NON! PAR TON SEIGNEUR! ILS NE SERONT PAS CROYANTS AUSSI LONGTEMPS QU'ILS NE T'AURONT DEMANDÉ DE JUGER DE LEURS DISPUTES ET QU'ILS N'AURONT ÉPROUVÉ NULLE ANGOISSE POUR CE QUE TU AURAS DÉCIDÉ, ET QU'ILS SE SOUMETTENT COMPLÈTEMENT [À TA SENTENCE]. (4:65)

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad:   The Treaty of Hudaybiyah and Calling the Great States of the World to Islam
The Conquest of Khaybar: Part 4
What was Forbidden in Khaybar
The Messenger of God forbad four things for Muslims on the day of Khaybar:
1) To touch women slaves,
2) To eat the flesh of domesticated donkey,
3) To eat the flesh of wild animals and animals with fangs,
4) To sell or buy the booty before it is divided.
Making a Treaty with Fadak Jews
After the conquest of Khaybar, the Prophet sent Muhayyisa b. Mas’ud to the Jews living in the village of Fadak, two destinations away from Madinah, to invite them to Islam. The Jews of Fadak had come together with the Jews living around and decided to attack Madinah but they could not do it.
The Jews of Fadak did not accept the offer of the peace treaty of Muhayyisa, the envoy of the Messenger of God, first but then they feared that they would be like the Jews of Khaybar and made a peace offer. The Prophet accepted their peace offer.
According to the peace treaty, no Fadak Jews would be killed. Half of their land was left to them but the other half was allocated to the Prophet. It was not divided among the other Muslims because according to the sixth verse of the chapter of al-Hashr, the places captured through peace, without any military force, were allocated to the Prophet. Since that was what happened in Fadak, half of the land of Fadak was allocated to the Prophet. The Messenger of God used the income from the land of Fadak for himself, the children of Sons of Hashim and to marry the orphans among them off.
The Conquest of Wadil-Qura
After that, the Prophet left Khaybar and proceeded toward Wadil-Qura. It was a place consisting of villages between Khaybar and Tayma. Before Islam, Jews had settled there and built up that area.
After the Jews of Sons of Qurayza had been punished due to their treason, the Jews of Wadil-Qura decided to attack Madinah together with the Jews around; however, they could not do it.
The Messenger of God invited the Jews living there to Islam. He told them that they would not be killed if they embraced Islam, that their goods would be left to them and that what they had in their hearts would be dealt with by God.[59]The people of Wadil-Qura did not accept the peace offer and got ready to fight.
Thereupon, the Prophet besieged them. During the first day of the siege, about ten Jews were killed.
The Messenger of God invited them to Islam again. They did not accept it and resisted against the mujahids. However, they could not resist any longer and had to surrender when the sun was about a spear-length high.
The Muslims obtained a lot of booty there. The Messenger of God divided the booty into five. He distributed four-fifths of the booty among the mujahids and allocated one-fifth to the Treasure. He left the land to the people of Wadil-Qura on the condition that they would give half of the crops to Muslims, as it was done in Khaybar.
The Jews of Tayma Agree to Pay Jizyah
The Jews also lived in the place called Tayma, which was between Khaybar and Tabuk, on the way between Madinah and Damascus. They heard what the Prophet had done in Khaybar and Wadil-Qura. Therefore, when the Islamic army arrived there, they agreed to pay jizyah. Thus, they did not have to leave their hometown and they did not lose their land.
The Importance of the Conquest of Khaybar
With the conquest of Khaybar, almost all of the Jews in the Arabian Peninsula became subject to the Islamic state. With the Peace Treaty of Hudaybiyah, any dangers from the polytheists had been prevented. Thus, Islam had a great freedom.
Thanks to the Peace Treaty of Hudaybiyah, the polytheists had not been able to help the Jews or to cooperate with them; thanks to the conquest of Khaybar, it became impossible for the Jews to attempt any cooperation with the polytheists. From then on, there was no light of hope for the polytheists or the Jews to get help from each other. Thus, the Qurayshi polytheists were regarded to have lost one of their supports they had always planned to use.
This conquest caused a lot of sensation around because everybody knew that Khaybar had very strong castles, that the Jews of Khaybar were very good at fighting, that they were superior in terms of weapons and that they had many brave people.
The fact that they were defeated by the Islamic army despite their advantages intimidated everybody. They realized that Muslims had become an invincible power. Therefore, the tribes around surrendered voluntarily, accepting the sovereignty of Islam. Therefore, the conquest of Khaybar has an important place in the history of Islam.

The Messenger of God: Muhammad: Part 77
The Companions and the Sunna
The Companions obeyed the Messenger in everything. They were so imbued with love for him that they strove to imitate him in every possible way. In fact, the Qur'an itself led them to do this, for it states that obeying the Messenger is directly related to belief: But no, by your Master! They will not believe till they make you the judge in disputes between them, then they shall find in themselves no impediment touching your verdict, but shall surrender in full submission (4:65). The following are only a few examples of their degree of submission.
• Shortly before his death, the Messenger raised an army, appointed Usama to command it, and told him to "advance only as far as the place where your father was martyred, and strengthen our rule there." The Messenger took to his bed before the army departed. When Usama visited him, the Messenger prayed for him. The army was just about to set out when the Messenger died. Abu Bakr, his political successor and the first caliph, dispatched the army without a second thought, despite uprisings in various parts of Arabia. He accompanied the soldiers to the outskirts of Madina and said: "By God, even if wolves attack us from all directions, I will not lower a flag hoisted by the Messenger."
• The Messenger's death shocked and grieved Madina's Muslims. The subsequent election to choose the caliph caused some dissension among the Companions. Abu Bakr shouldered a very heavy task, for the army was waiting to be sent, reports of uprisings were coming in, and small groups were not satisfied with his election. Just at this juncture Fatima, the Prophet's daughter, asked him for her share in the land of Fadak. Abu Bakr did not want to offend her, but also was determined to remain faithful to the Sunna. He used to say: "I can't forsake anything that the Messenger did." He had heard something from the Messenger, which Fatima had not: "We, the community of the Prophets, do not bequeath anything. Whatever we leave is charity."
• After the conquest of Makka, people from all over Arabia embraced Islam. Of course, many were not as devoted to Islam as the Companions. Some apostatized and, following Musaylima the Liar, revolted against Madina. Others showed signs of revolt by refusing to pay the prescribed alms-tax. Abu Bakr fought such people until peace and security reigned in Arabia once again.
• 'Umar was known as "the one who submits himself to truth." Unaware of the Prophet's decree, he put forward his own judgment about how much money should be paid to compensate someone for a cut finger. A Companion opposed him: "O Commander of the Faithful! I heard the Messenger say: 'The blood money for both hands together is the same as that paid for a life. This amount is shared out equally among the fingers, as ten camels for each.'" 'Umar instantly withdrew his ruling and said to himself: "O son of Khattab! Do you dare to judge, through your own reasoning, on a matter the Messenger decreed?"
• Abu Musa al-Ash'ari went to visit 'Umar in his office. He knocked on the door three times and then left, as he received no answer. After Abu Musa left, 'Umar opened the door and asked who had knocked. Learning that Abu Musa had knocked, 'Umar sent for him and asked why he had left. Abu Musa answered: "The Messenger said: 'When you visit someone, knock on the door. If you are not allowed to enter after you knock for the third time, go away,'" 'Umar asked him if he could verify this hadith, which was unknown to him. Abu Musa brought Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who testified to its truth, and 'Umar conceded.
• When 'Umar was stabbed while prostrating in the mosque, he was asked if he wanted to designate his successor. 'Umar answered: "If I designate, one who is better than me (Abu Bakr) did so. If I do not designate, one who is better than me (the Messenger) did not do so." 'Umar was certain to follow the latter action. However, to prevent any possible disagreement, he left the matter to a consultative committee that he formed for this very purpose.
• When 'Umar saw Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani perform a supererogatory prayer after the afternoon prayer, he reproached him for doing what the Messenger had not done. Zayd told him: "Even if you break my head into pieces, I shall never give up this two rak'ah prayer, for I saw the Messenger perform it." Umm Salama, one of the Prophet's wives, reported that one day her husband could not perform the two rak'ah supererogatory prayer after the noon prayer because he was busy with a visiting delegation. So, he prayed that prayer after the afternoon prayer. Zayd must have seen the Messenger perform it at that time.
• 'Ali once drank water while standing. Maysara ibn Ya'qub criticized him: "Why are you drinking while standing?" 'Ali answered: "If I do so, it's because I saw the Messenger do so. If I drink while sitting, it's because I saw the Messenger do so."
• Instead of washing the feet during wudu', Muslims can wipe the upper surface of light, thin-soled boots worn indoors (or inside overshoes) with wet hands. Showing the Sunna's supremacy over personal reasoning, 'Ali said: "If I had not seen the Messenger wipe the upper surface of his light, thin-soled boots, I would deem it more proper to wipe their soles."
• If a Muslim kills another by mistake, the killer's heirs must pay blood-money. 'Umar thought that a wife could not inherit any blood-money due to her husband. However, Dahhak ibn Abi Sufyan informed him that when Ashyam ibn Dibabi had been killed, the Messenger had given some of the blood-money to his wife. 'Umar declared: "From now on, wives will inherit from the blood-money of their husbands."
• Abu 'Ubayda ibn Jarrah commanded the Muslim armies fighting in Syria. When 'Umar went to visit him in Amwas, pestilence had broken out already. Before 'Umar entered the city, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-'Awf told him: "I heard the Messenger say: 'If you hear that pestilence has broken out in a place, don't enter it. If you are in such a place already, don't leave it.'" 'Umar, so obedient to the Sunna, returned home without seeing his faithful friend for the last time.

🍃🕊🍃 Raising Confident Young Muslim Women 🍃
🍃 Young Muslim women, growing up in the West are, for the most part, encouraged to study, work hard, and develop careers to gain financial independence and contribute their skills to society. However, aside from the importance of educating oneself and establishing a career, it is also important for women to be confident in themselves and their abilities. Confidence is fundamental to fully contributing as active citizens and is a direct reflection of a supportive and nurturing upbringing. 🍃
🍃 Importance of Education 🍃
🍃 The importance of education, which was discussed in ‘Raising Youth to Contribute to the Community’, is essential for raising knowledgeable, confident, women. They can then better influence society through their discoveries, research, writing, lectures, teachings, and expertise. Even young women who choose to stay home and raise their children are in a greater position to impact and enrich their children’s lives by imparting knowledge to them. 🍃
🍃 In fact, the Holy Prophet (S) said,
🍃 “Asking for knowledge is a duty imposed on every Muslim. Verily God loves those who seek knowledge.” 🍃
Al-Kafi
(The Sufficient)
(Part One, p.30)
🍃 Muslim women are often misrepresented as uneducated, backward, oppressed, and invisible members of society. However, this hadith clearly illustrates that in Islam, obtaining knowledge is a duty assigned to all Muslims without distinguishing between male or female. In fact, Islamic history has numerous examples of pivotal women, who were not only incredibly educated, such as Lady Fatima al-Zahra (sa), but who also were famous for their stances against oppressive factions in their community, notably Lady Zainab (sa). Clearly, Muslim women have much to offer and contribute as citizens and are not discouraged from participating in society. 🍃
🍃 Belief in Oneself 🍃
🍃 Belief in one’s ability is crucial to the self-development of young women in order for them to achieve their full potential. This is where the support of the family is fundamental to their upbringing. Families must raise their daughters with the same fervor and dedication as their sons, just as our Holy Prophet (pbuh&hp), and Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) so gracefully raised theirs, with love, support, and a core belief that their existence was crucial to the society around them. 🍃
🍃 Lady Fatima al-Zahra (sa), for example, is the source of the lineage of the Prophet (pbuh&hp), and one of the flag bearers of his teachings, manners, discipline, and knowledge, and who has impacted the religion of Islam in the most fundamental way. We seek guidance needed to achieve nearness to God through her example and the examples of her progeny. 🍃
“We have granted you abundant virtue.”
Holy Quran
(108:1)
🍃 In this verse of the Holy Quran, the abundant virtue (al-kawthar) is an indirect reference to Lady Fatima (sa), as she is a spring of knowledge and the heir of the Holy Prophet (pbuh&hp) from whom our Imams originated. 🍃
🍃 Role Models 🍃
🍃 Very often, culture and unIslamic values pervade the manner in which young women are raised. We are taught at an early age about key Muslim women, such as Lady Asiya (sa), Lady Maryam (sa), Lady Khadija (sa), Lady Fatima al-Zahra (sa), and Lady Zainab (sa). Yet we do not always fully demonstrate this knowledge in our own lives. Most of us are aware of Lady Fatima (sa) having to defend her rights of inheritance, specifically the property of Fadak, which was gifted to her during her father’s (S) lifetime. How might we reflect and comprehend just how her stance against injustice might serve as a reminder for us? 🍃
🍃 Similarly, do we truly understand the gravity of Lady Zainab’s (sa) speech in the courtyard of Yazid, (a merciless and tyrannical ruler who was holding her and her family members captive)? How might we reflect on our own roles and duties within society using her as an example? Lady Zainab (sa) was not a voiceless, powerless, helpless Muslim woman. She operated within the framework of God’s Divine guidance while upholding tenets of justice and truth. 🍃
🍃 Confident Muslim Women 🍃
🍃 We are often fed a concept in the media of who a Muslim woman should be: voiceless, powerless, useless, and ignorant. Does this image truly reflect the legacy that women such as Lady Zainab and Lady Fatima (pbut) have left for us to emulate? These two exemplary women took action when needed. They were vocal and not silent in the face of injustice. They were confident in their belief, faith, and in themselves while they had the support of their families and followers. They were raised to be strong women with the foundation of Islamic beliefs and manners embedded firmly in their hearts. 🍃
🍃 Therefore, it is the acquisition of knowledge, strong faith in God, and a supportive upbringing that fosters confidence in oneself. These qualities are needed to know one’s rights, to fight for them, and also to participate in righteous causes. Both Lady Fatima al-Zahra (sa) and Lady Zainab (sa) chose not to remain silent and allow their rights to be taken from them. Through their firm belief in God and conviction of justice, they made their positions clear and thereby created a roadmap to guide future generations of young women. 🍃
🍃 Young Muslim women, growing up in the West are, for the most part, encouraged to study, work hard, and develop careers to gain financial independence and contribute their skills to society. However, aside from the importance of educating oneself and establishing a career, it is also simultaneously important for women to be confident in themselves and their abilities. Confidence is fundamental for fully contributing as active citizens and is a direct reflection of a supportive and nurturing upbringing. 🍃
