LISA’S DEATH FLAGS: LISA’S ROLE IN 2.0

A lot of people have been pointing out that Lisa has... Uh. A scary amount of death flags. And considering Mihoyo’s past of killing off characters.... Yeah!

I - TEMPUS FUGIT CONSTELLATION

Lisa’s constellation is Tempus Fugit, translated to ‘Time Flies’. It’s literally an hourglass, something that often represents time running out- And the rest of Lisa’s story doesn’t really reflect that concept. The description is, “An hourglass marks the end of the work day for Lisa. Its sand moves fast.”

Mona’s voicelines, similarly, say this:

II - ANEMO AND LOSS

There’s a trend of Anemo users having lost a friend- Venti lost the nameless bard, Sucrose lost her best friends due to separation, Kazuha lost the nameless samurai, and Xiao lost his fellow Yaksha. Jean, however, hasn’t lost anyone- It could be debated that she lost Barbara, but she’s still around, and their relationship could be mended- Plus, that’s her sister.

Jean is pretty close to Lisa, though. Arguably, one of her best friends. Uh oh.

III - THE ELECTRO VISION

With 2.0 upcoming, there’s a clear emphasis on the concept of visions as a whole- The trailer mentions how losing a vision feels like losing a part of yourself, Kazuha has the dead vision of his friend, and Baal is slowly collecting all visions for herself. Lisa’s story, as mentioned in her unlockable content, links her deepest lore with the secrets of visions:

It looks like a possibility that Lisa may actually play a part in the upcoming version. This also links to the next point, but before that:

Lisa’s surname, Minci, has some relation to the concept of gods/archons. This furthers the chance that she will have something to do with Baal’s storyline- Maybe her vision/life being reclaimed?
