it's really funny to me as someone new to the fire emblem fandom (having played all of awakening and a little more than half of fates - both conquest and revelations) when i look up character pairings and their kids and are just met with people discussing nothing but stat growths, reclassing, and the best ways to pair the characters JUST to get high-stat kids with little regard to the actual pairings themselves. i get that it's pretty normal in this fandom (and for most games like this, i assume?) to be more focused on that kind of thing, but to me, the stats/gameplay are more of an afterthought. i just like pairing off characters based on the supports + vibes/dynamic and seeing what the kids will look and act like accordingly. of course i want my 2nd gen characters to be strong and fight well, but i also want to see them be a fitting child for the parents i paired together, ya know?

but idk, that's just my opinion lol [shrugs]

The name Edgar is a character in King Lear, and I picked that way back in 2019 when I drew him as an academy kiddo here. 

During his days at the academy, he was a gifted student like his daughter, but was far lazy about trying to hone his skills. His spell list is the same as Hubert.

His class is a warlock, but he is currently retired.

No crest, but His wife (design TBA) has a minor Charon crest. 

House Ordelia used to have a massive extended family, but most of them perished when they tried to fight against the Empire+TWSITD's occupation of their lands. While many were killed off, Edgar and a few were kept alive to keep appearances to hide suspicion from other nobles. He was still severely punished for this by witnessing his children and other crested members of the family be experimented on

He had 2 children, now there is only Lysithea left.

Has massive survivors guilt

After being freed from the tyranny of TWSITD and the Empire, he started to appear in public again...but now dependent on a cane (a repurposed old staff) to walk. Asking about this change will result in Edgar deflecting and changing topic.
