Thanks to the love & encouragement of the amazing @fencecreatorsguild 's mods and other members, I actually pulled through with my idea to draw Haiden as Aziracrow (from the great book and TV show Good Omens by Terry Pratchett & @neil-gaiman if you're not familiar), especially for this month's theme of Halloween. Pretty happy with the results 🥰

**Clarification: this sketch was made as a combination of the Fence characters Harvard Lee and Aiden Kane, in their original style as drawn by Joanna the Mad in the Fence comics, combined with online pictures taken of David Tennant and Michael Sheen in their roles as Crowley and Aziraphale in the show Good Omens. While the idea for the combination was my own and the process of making the idea into a pencil sketch was done by me, the rights for the characters and the art style they are drawn in belong to them, and were not intended to be used in anything other than what is considered fair use.

listen. idc what anyone says. the novels aren’t that bad. i fucking loved the tiny snippets of wholesome nichoji. i loved the slow burn with haiden. it wasn’t even poorly written. i feel like a lot of people get hung up on it not being entirely canon, or just that it disrupts the flow of the comics or whatever else.

but they’re still good books, and tbh i’d pick that as canon harvard and aiden so quickly. i loved them both so much and i love how the books actually gave insight on aiden and harvard’s feelings and thoughts, as well as seiji’s, not just nicholas’s / a general perspective.

anyways that being said now that i’ve finished everything besides redemption, i need fic recs :3

gimme some fluffy haiden or nichoji pining or smth to hold me over while i wait for all the parts of redemption to come out together, since i can’t figure out how to read it without spending money (bc i don’t wanna spend the money twice)

Okay sorry for my 1 AM brainrot ramblings again but

So Nichoji is ACTUALLY happening???

I might sounds delirious but I got so used to mainstream hetero media that I don't even have hope for gay ships getting canon or... u know queer people existing. Of course, this is Pacat and everything's different and (from past experience) very much gay but I always thought that Fence was the "black sheep" of all his books that would never actually show us romantic interactions between Nick and Seiji. Or just subtle hints at best (even though both have all typical Pacat love interest tropes).

Tbh, I would have accepted it if we only got an romantically ambiguous ending and I kinda even expect that. Call it pessimism I guess? BUT THEN THEY PUT THIS QUOTE ON THE COVER AND I--

Can I actually hope for canon Nichoji?? Is that possible??

Generally I'm also curious to see what other people think of fence ships getting canon. How would it happen? Would Nick and Seiji get together before or after Exton? (Or at all..?) Is Haiden forever just #pining or will Aiden finally stop having the stupid? Does Jesse even know that Eugene exists???

Aiden: Come on, Seiji, that isn’t the problem. The reason you and Nicholas keep fighting is all the sexual tension. You two just need to bone.

Seiji: ...What did you say?

Harvard: Aiden, don’t say it again.

Aiden: I said you two need to bone.

*after several seconds of silence and death glares, Seiji storms out of the room*

Later that day...

Seiji: Eugene?

Eugene: Yeah bro?

Seiji: What does ‘bone’ mean?

Eugene: *spits out his protein shake*

That night, in Aiden and Harvard’s room...

With haiden it kinda feels like Harvard and Aiden being friends but Aiden has developing feelings for each other and Aiden describing his life, the same concept also works for nicoji as it kinda describes Nick's childhood.
