say hello to my current wip, making assumptions, aka the fic about chay's truly impressive collection of monsterfucker sex toys. i'm banging my head against my desk as i work on one of the emotional scenes, so here's a ~1k preview of the first chapter because i like validation 😂
The thing about fucking up a lot is that you get really good at identifying the little voice in your head yelling hey moron amongst all the alarm bells. It’s just that, if you’re Kim, the little voice can scream as loud as it likes, but it won’t change the fact that the stupid decision is so often the only decision available.
I, Kim thinks as he picks the lock on Chay’s door, am very bad at lying to myself.
It’s just, Kim is nosy. He doesn’t know how not to be, not with a childhood of secrets that kill and a father who lies more than he cares. So, when Kim had snooped through the family’s finance accounts and happened upon Chay’s bank statements, which showed no activity beyond Papa adding an allowance for months and then abruptly incurred multiple pages of mysterious payments totalling to several thousand baht in less than two weeks, which transactions could only be less obvious if they were plastered in neon DRUGS HERE! signs, well. What was Kim supposed to do?
…Not break into Chay’s room and scour the place for secret drug stashes is the correct answer, but Kim is so far past that now. He doesn’t even know what he’s going to do when he finds the stashes of drugs--probably throw them out, except then he’d have to tell Chay, because people rearranging your rooms and throwing out your stuff behind your back is the worst, and he won’t do that to Chay. But he’s also been trying to respect Chay’s fuck off boundary line, no matter how much it hurts, so Chay’s going to hate him twice as much for this, fuck, he’s really thrown himself into a right pickle this time--
He should turn back now. Before he makes this worse.
Then Kim thinks of Chay collapsed in his own pile of vomit, or passed out with blood dripping from his nose, or pale with a needle still sticking out of his arm, because Kim knows the shit dealers cut their products with, because Papa had wanted him to take over the gritty side of the business, and then Kim’s inside Chay’s rooms without a second’s hesitation.
Chay’s room is a mess. Not the type of mess Kim had liked to drop in on, back when he’d surprise Chay at home and get treated to Chay frantically tidying the place while making half a dozen excuses for why Kim couldn’t come over, despite knowing Kim was watching him clean through the front window, and then finally invite Kim in and pout at him until he did something nice to make up for his bullying. This mess isn’t small piles of debris and laundry and dirty dishes--it’s several unpacked boxes growing dust in a corner, a small hamper of clean clothes infront of an empty closet, a collection of dirty glasses atop a stack of textbooks before the nightstand. If Kim hadn’t known this is Chay’s room, hadn’t secretly triple checked the security of this wing and Chay’s position to it obsessively when Chay had first moved in, he might’ve thought this the room for one of Papa’s infrequent guests. It’s…unsettling, to see a space Chay spends so much time in be so empty of his presence.
…He’s wasting time.
The rooms in this wing are all outfitted with the same basic setup: bed in the middle, oversized nightstand between it and the corner, lamp and chair in another, entrance to a full bath and toilet in the last. Usually, long term guests customize their rooms into anything besides a soulless box, but Chay hasn’t even tacked up so much as a postcard on the wall. The only thing unique is the large wooden chest with a well-loved blanket tossed over it, so that’s where Kim starts. It’s too obvious as a hiding place, and Kim almost wants to scold Chay or give him lessons on how to hide shit he wants to stay hidden, but…it’s the one piece Chay’s chosen in this room. Chay could just grab a backpack and this chest and disappear--anything he wants safe will be in it.
…The chest isn’t even locked, and Kim returns to the urge to go find and grab Chay by his shoulders and shake him until he remembers something about situational awareness, or keeping secrets, or distrusting people, or a lot of other basic caution measures, except Kim’s one of the things Chay’s currently keeping himself safe from, so that definitely won’t do him any favors. Kim settles for closing his eyes and sighing deeply through his nose.
Then he opens the chest to reveal…tentacles. Literally dozens of plastic tentacles.
What?
Kim stares down at the chest full of…plastic octopus legs? Or, at least, the tips of several of them, in all varieties of colors, from coral pink to a deep, shimmery blue. Kim even grabs one that glistens like oil slick when he moves it in the dim sunlight. They all vary in shape too, some are more sleek with just tiny bumps and ridges in different patterns, some with thick bases and thin tips and others with thin bodies and flared heads, others with strangely realistic suckers that yield under his finger tips, and then even more underneath those that look far too strange to be called proper tentacles. Kim pulls out a deep green one with a cute flower at the base and a body that curls aggressively, another that’s mostly straight but has the look of chewed bubble gum, and yet another that’s shorter than the rest but twice as thick and covered in bulging bumps.
It’s not until Kim finally pulls out a toy covered in flared ridges, scales, and other alarming geometry, but also distinctly phallic, does his brain finally accept that all of these are dildos.
Chay…Chay has a chest of sex toys in his room.
Chay has a chest of sex toys in his room.
Chay has a chest of sex toys in his room.
Kim’s brain gives up. His face is too hot for him to think, his ears are ringing with what he’s quite sure is literal steam coming directly off his brain. He keeps pulling out more new toys, unable to stop. There’s one that looks like a tongue, with twice as many veins and a bumpy texture that is much too real for the scraps of his sanity. An alarmingly long and bendy tube with a pretty rainbow gradient and a disturbing number of knobs. A dark blue dildo that seems strangely plain until it lights up with half a dozen glittery rings when he accidentally squeezes the base too hard.
Pretty, Kim thinks, then is so startled by the sound of his own thoughts he misses the sound of the door clicking open behind him.
“Kim?”
Kim actually startles, whacking his knee on the chest of sex toys, and comes face-to-face with Chay.
…While sitting in a half-circle of monster dicks.
Chay’s eyes dart from him, to the toys on the floor, to the chest, and blushes all the way to his ears. “Kim?”

Are Emma/Tom dating or something??
Not that we know of! But after Tom ended his relationship with his longtime girlfriend, Jade Olivia, him & Emma started hanging out as friends again! So that got the Feltson fandom in a real frenzy…
Tumblr media
And just like Bob & Eliza, Tom & Emma are pretty private about their personal lives. We didn’t even know Bob & Eliza were dating let alone engaged to be married. So as for Tom & Emma…who knows??? As Beliza have clearly demonstrated, anything is possible 😂🥺

Shelter Chapter 5
Reactions with an Action ~Assembly Time~
Upon walking in the classroom, you immediately slipped into your two-step morning routine. Your first step was something extremely easy to you, and that was to smile warmly at everyone. Easily accomplishing that with a beam, you moved on to the next which was to greet your fellow classmates. That said you took in a deep breath and then delightedly cheered, “Good morning everybody!” to everyone in the vicinity. Now, after you say that, the usual response your classmates would have made would be a similarly enthusiastic hello, or a kind wave, or even just a simple nod. And while you received all three of those, concluding your morning routine, an unexpected fourth one was suddenly introduced to you.
“(Y/N)-CHAN, YOU’RE HERE TODAY!” You jumped at the sudden screams from three of your friends, Kayano, Rio and Hinano, that you nearly dropped your bag, nearly, however, because you were also clutching at it for dear life. Taking a moment, you gingerly placed a hand on your chest to calm your startled heart before smiling at them uncertainly, surprised in the change of your morning.
“Yeah, I’m here. What’s up? Did something happen yesterday while I was gone?” You asked with concern in your voice, due to their exuberant greetings, and you eyed the mixed looks that were being thrown at you. Worry, excitement, and then immense relief, that you had to raise a brow at their expressions. “Seriously what happened?”
The three girls then exchanged a glance, a mental conversation, before nodding in sync. “(Y/N)-chan, our mid-terms are coming up,” Hinano suddenly said and you directed your attention to her as she bounced on her feet “I was hoping to ask you if you could tutor me in math, since you’re really good at it. Korosensei is already helping me out during breaks, but I’ll feel a lot more prepared for the exams if you tutor me.” She ended before expectantly pleading at you.
You didn’t hesitate to nod with a warm smile, “Yeah, sure. I’ll be glad to do it. We can do it after school today.” Then Hinano gave you a bright smile, befitting of her exuberant personality, before leaving when she caught Okajima with some pornos in his grasp.
“(Y/N)-chan, over here,” Rio waved to get your attention, and you turned to her just as Hinano scolded the pervert. “So I wanted to tell you that there’s going to be a whole block dedicated to sweets opening up soon!” Your eyes were suddenly alight with excitement as you jumped in spot, feeling extremely giddy now.
“I know! My family is involved in it, you know? It’s kind of why I had to miss class yesterday.” You admitted and Rio gave you the most awestruck look. Laughing, you said, “It looks like it’s going to be really great! There are so many renowned shops setting up!”
“Really?! Well, half the class and I are planning on checking it out before mid-term comes. Do you wanna come with?” Of course, you nodded. “Great, I’ll text you the details later!” Then she left, an oddly suspicious grin on her face, but you didn’t think too much about it since you were looking forward to the conclusion of the sweet street.
“(Y/N)-chan…” Kayano mumbled and you broke out of your reverie to glance at her. Kayano was the one that supported the most worried face out of the three of them, and you quickly got into your protective and fussy mode.
“What’s wrong? Tell me everything.” You said in a concerned fashion as you held her gaze warmly.
Kayano sneaked a glance to the right before saying, “I saw you talking to Terasaka and his gang two days ago. Then when you didn’t come to school yesterday, I got worried that they did something.” Kayano had mumbled out and you reassuringly smiled at her, your concern dissipating to a bubbly laugh.
“Kayano thanks for worrying, but there’s no need. They’re my new friends now.” You said with a smile and the worry she had on her face lessened to relief before shifting drastically into incredulity.
“What! You are?! But you don’t like them! Not after what they did to Nagisa!” She had shouted, throwing her hands in the air actively as she did, and you softly held her wrists. Kayano immediately froze and then gave you a questioning look as you lowered her hands.
“Kayano, I realized that I took it too far with them. I threw the first punch because I thought they were looking to hurt Nagisa, but in reality they were only lost on what they had to do. I just didn’t understand that they didn’t understand. Do you follow me?” You asked her. Kayano slowly shook her head, paused, and then hesitantly nodded.
“So does this mean you won’t… hurt… others anymore?” She had asked uncertainly, not sure on how to phrase her question and you glanced to the side in hesitation. You had mulled this over when you had the free time yesterday. The idea of being semi-nice or less violent to those who threaten your friends was hard to come to terms with. And honestly, it’s still gripping you with indecision. Did you truly want to stop hurting those who intentionally hurt the people you love?
Biting your lip, you answered Kayano with, “I don’t know actually. It’s all confusing for me. Just know that I’m going to be protecting you guys. I won’t let anything hurt you. I promise.”
Kayano took in the way you carefully articulated that sentence. It must’ve been hard for you to state something like that. Humming, Kayano then decided to ask you, “So then I guess you are friends with them?” She gestured to the group of four in the corner of the classroom and you pleasantly nodded.
“I suppose I am,” Then you raised your voice and said, “Terasaka, Yoshida, Muramatsu, and Kirara, good morning to you all.” They minutely tensed upon your greeting, wondering who outside their friend circle would even talk to them, but they relaxed a little when they found out it was you. Raising a hand to give a small wave, the group of four tried to give you a smile. Tried is the key word, for it actually looked like a grimace.
Smiling at their attempt, you just waved back at them, so glad that the three had accepted your apology. Thinking back on what happened two days ago, you reminisced the way Terasaka grumbled and tried his best to word his sentences so that it would seem indifferent. But you can feel the acceptance hidden under his frown and his scowls. Yoshida and Muramatsu accepted you hesitantly, but nonetheless became tolerant since they felt how apologetic you were this time.
While you patched up your relationship with those three, you managed to acquire a new friend too. Kirara and you became friends a moment later due to how much you balanced each other out. With your bright smiles and her rather moody ways, you ended up being able to carry a friendly conversation, somehow.
That said you’ve never been happier looking at those four. “Well let’s go Kayano. Besides what Rio and Hinano told me, you have to catch me up with what happened yesterday.” You cheerfully noted as you linked your arms with her and Kayano changed her mildly stupefied and confused expression to a friendly one.
“Well not much happened yesterday, but there was something interesting.” She hummed and you quirked an eyebrow up. She then directed you close to where Sugino’s desk was and showed you Nagisa and Sugino who were huddled next to Manami, your brilliant chemistry friend. “Okuda-san decided to poison Korosensei yesterday. You should’ve seen it. He sprouted horns and wings.”
“Really, she decided to do it when I wasn’t here.” You pouted then you turned to your science loving friend with an apologetic look. “Manami, I’m sorry I wasn’t here to see your attempt. I knew that you’ve been planning it for a long time now.” Yes, you knew. Since you were seatmates since the beginning of the school year, the two of you got the chance to talk and you bonded over science. While you weren’t as enthusiastic about it like her, the two of you could exchange a bunch of thoughts about the subject.
“(Y/N)-chan, it’s okay. I-It didn’t work out anyways. But you can see this assassination attempt. Korosensei helped me make this poison.” She said quietly as she held up the beaker in her hands. You blinked at her words, curiosity flooding in your system, and you stood stock still.
“Wait, Korosensei helped you make a poison that’s going to kill him?” You said slowly and she softly smiled yes. Immediately, you saw this situation with suspicion. Korosensei as a fantastic teacher, but he surely wouldn’t assist a student in making a deadly poison, right?
“He even drew a comic describing how to store poison correctly. He’s always ready to lend a hand.” Nagisa told you as he held up the paper, and you peered over his shoulder. You didn’t read all of it, but you did catch a glimpse of the words bat wings and rat snake fangs. You then darted your eyes over to the poison in Manami’s hands. Just what kind of concoction did Korosensei have her make?
“A poison that’ll kill him…What’s he thinking?” Sugino mumbled out your thoughts and Manami glanced at the poison in her hands with a smile.
“I’m guessing it’s his way of encouraging me. I think he wants me to hone my strengths, even if I’m not good with words!” The smile she had on erased your suspicions as you just felt extremely glad that your friend was feeling encouraged enough to carry her assassination out. That said, you decided to give her more support as you placed your hands on her shoulders.
“Manami, you can do this! If you feel determined about this, then you will nail this assassination attempt!” The moment the words left your lips, the doors to the classroom slid open and Korosensei slithered in. Giving your friend a cheering smile, you told her, “Good luck, Manami!”
“Go on, give it to him.” Kayano said as well and your introverted friend nodded before making her way to the front of the class. While she does that, you excused yourself to head back to your seat just as Korosensei drank the substance. After he gulped down every last drop, a sudden intimidating aura radiated off your teacher. His tentacles veined in the amount of new power surging through them and your eyes widened at the sight. Seriously, just what did Korosensei have Manami make. And your question was soon answered when Korosensei explained how the poison actually advanced his state of being.
“What do you mean?” You couldn’t see it, but you can hear the dismay in Manami’s voice as the events unfolded. Instead of replying, Korosensei showed her as a gust of wind blew in the classroom. You instinctively brought a hand up to block the air and upon bringing it down, you blanked.
There in the front of the classroom where your teacher should be, a blob of silver lay with a grin. You felt yourself sweat drop at the sight before tensing to shock when Korosensei darted around the classroom. “Um why are you in there?” Kataoka mumbled as Korosensei settled in her desk and then the next thing you knew, a flash of silver whizzed past your eyes.
“Go ahead! Try to kill me now!” He cackled and then a riot of surprise erupted from your classmates as Korosensei caused chaos. He was moving so fast that your eyes could barely keep up with him. You can feel his presence, but you can’t even see it!
“Y-you tricked me, Korosensei!” Manami stuttered.
Korosensei stopped his shenanigans and landed at a corner of the ceiling. Smiling down at your friend, he said, “Having the verbal aptitude to deceive others is a vital part of assassination, Okuda-san.” Then you instantly understood your teacher’s intentions. A small smile flitted to your lips as he told her, “Even the most potent of poisons is wasted if you offer it in such a naïve way that your target can take advantage of you.” Your teacher then dropped down to the floor before slithering his way back to his clothes. Korosensei then asked Nagisa how he would attempt to poison him.
“I’d probably mix it in a sweet drink you like and then offer it to you as a special drink I made.” Nagisa replied after thinking and your teacher agreed.
“To deceive someone, you must understand their feelings and tailor your words accordingly. Language is the key to an effective poisoning.” Then you saw the realization flash on Manami’s face and you lightly laughed at how your teacher was able to help her while teaching a lesson about assassination. “I’m sure that one day, your scientific talents will benefit many.” Korosensei said as he reverted back to normal. “You’ll need to explain things clearly to as many people as possible. So by developing your language skills to kill me, you can poison two birds with one vial.”
You then laughed out loud at the end as Karma chuckled beside you. “Looks like we got a lot to think about than assassination.” You nodded to his words as you saw Manami approach her seat. Before she sat down, you gave her a large smile.
“I believe in you Manami. One day, you’re going to help a lot of people and you’ll be able to proudly tell them, without a single stutter, how you were able to do it. I’m behind you 100%. You have my support.” Then Manami’s eyes shine with gratefulness and you can only softly smile back at her.
 ~*~*~*~
“Karma, you’re not coming?” You asked your violent friend before he shook his head no. A frown tugged at your lips at him playing hooky and you immediately told him, “It’s not cool to stay behind and skip the assembly, you know.”
At your words, Karma scoffed, “I’d rather take the punishment than face them again.” Then your frown grew bigger and you took a moment to sit beside him. Karma took notice of your action and turned to face you, a witty comment ready to leave his lips, but then he froze when he observed how close you were.
Karma can abruptly see the way you’re gazing at him with worried eyes and he can feel your warm hand resting on top of his. He can suddenly remember the incident that occurred a few days ago, how you had looked in his eyes. All of a sudden, Karma had this urge to say beautiful to you. But he held back when you grabbed his hand.
“Karma, I’d rather you go to the assembly. I don’t want you to skip and endure a punishment. If those guys are going to bother you, rest assured that I’ll take care of them.” You whispered and you tightened your hold on his hand. “Don’t get in trouble when you can avoid it.”
Karma laughed through the butterflies in his stomach and said, “Don’t get in trouble? (Y/N)-chan I attract trouble. I can’t avoid it.” And he wasn’t aware of how he flipped his hand so that your palms were touching.
The action was so subtle, that you didn’t even notice it too as you countered with, “Then if you can’t avoid it, I’m going to join you in it.” Then you pulled your hand away to cross your arms and Karma painfully noticed the lack of warmth. He doesn’t get it. He doesn’t understand why he’s suddenly feeling or looking at you in a new way after you jumped for him. Karma doesn’t comprehend why he’s been sneaking glances at you when you weren’t looking, or feeling butterflies when you laugh at him. Even now he’s confused on why his heart was suddenly pounding at your determination.
Or why he’s always thinking beautiful or gorgeous when he’s talking to you. He doesn’t get it, but he doesn’t mind it either. This feeling he has when you’re with him is so amazing, that he doesn’t even question it. He just accepts it.
And against this amazing feeling he’s experiencing, he said, “Go to the assembly. Someone needs to keep those people in check.” Then when he noticed the way you opened your mouth to retort, Karma leaned in close to your ear and said, “Just go. I’m going to keep bothering you unless you do so.” And then he blew hot breath against the shell of your ear. Since you were awake and actually aware, unlike the time with Maehara, you jumped up from your spot with a flustered expression, and Karma laughed out loud.
You lightly glared at him before your lips quirked into a small smile. “Alright, I’ll go. I’ll be sure to get you a copy of the schedule, though.” Then you gave him a tiny wave before saying, “Don’t attract any trouble while I’m gone.” Then you were disappearing from his sight, leaving Karma to miss the warmth of your hand.
 ~*~*~*~
“Th-the bridge! Alright, who told us this was a shortcut?!” You were barely down the mountain when your ears picked up on the noise. You were just walking with a slow pace trying to relish the peacefulness of the day. But then you heard those familiar voices and your mind warned you of danger and you triggered you into a sprint.
Stopping at a broken bridge, you saw two of your classmates getting carried away by the river. Your eyes widened at the sight in front of you before your protective instincts geared you into action. Thrusting out your hands, you called out, “Chiba, Mimura, grab on!”The two immediately grabbed on to your arms and you gritted your teeth as you felt their slippery hands begin to slide from your grasp. “Hold on tightly!” You shouted before digging your heels to the ground.
The moment you felt you were secured in place, you tightened your hand around their sleeves and then yanked them in one swift motion. Mimura and Chiba landed in a soaking mess beside you and you quickly rolled them on their stomach so that any water in their throat could drain out. Mimura coughed loudly as he slowly folded his legs while Chiba lay limp beside him. He then said through a pant, “Okajima was with us…”
At that your eyed dilated and you mentally panicked. “Okajima’s in the river, too!” Immediately, you scanned the rapids, searching for the class pervert. That’s when you saw him a little ways down the river being pulled with the current. “Crap, OKAJIMA!” You broke into a mad run as you kept close to the side of the river.
Your friend sputtered out water as little waves crashed over him, and you gritted your teeth when you saw him on the other side of the river. Having no time to circle back and follow him on the other side, you quickened your pace, passing Okajima, and chanted to yourself, “I’m going to make it. Don’t look at the water. I’m going to make it. Don’t look at the water. I am so going to make this. Just don’t look at the water!” Then before you got caught up with an inability of yours, you released a scream as you leapt forward.
For a moment you were gliding in the air, heart pumping in fear as there suddenly was no ground beneath you, and you momentarily scold yourself for being so brash. But time was moving along with the rapids and you had to remind yourself to focus. Steeling your body, you lashed out a hand to grab Okajima’s raised arms when you passed over him, and sighed in relief when you caught him. Your feet then hit the side of a raised hill and you quickly snapped your hand to the top of it. You were now hanging by a ledge with Okajima dangling in your grasp.
“Brace yourself!” You shouted briefly before you swiftly pulled him upward and threw him on the ground. Okajima landed with a thump and a cough and you took that as a sign that he was safe. You then placed both your hands on the ledge and pulled yourself up shakily, too exhilarated from what you just did. Rolling safely on the ground, you panted out, “I can’t believe I just did that. I can’t swim and I decided to throw myself at the water. Oh I’m so stupid, so stupid.” You continued to chastise until a violent cough got your attention.
You swiftly got to your knees. “Okajima, come on get on your stomach. Let the water drain out.” You told him as you aided him in flipping over. Chiba and Mimura came running over at that moment, seemingly recovered, and they panted as they shot their friend a worried glance. “He’s going to be fine. He just needs some air.” You said and you can see the relief in their eyes (More like Mimura’s eyes, but Chiba was nodding in relief... or so you believe).
“Thanks, (Y/N), for everything.” Mimura wheezed out and you nodded your head dismissively. A small smile flitted to your lips and you exhaled in relief. You were able to protect them without a single hitch. Taking a moment to catch your breath, you gingerly stood up and then clapped Chiba and Mimura on the shoulder.
“Hold on to Okajima, I’m going to go ahead and make sure that the path is clear for you guys. That way it won’t be too much of a hassle descending with him on your shoulders.” The two only nodded as they thanked you once again and you set off to do exactly what you said. Seeing as how that pervert was still recovering, it’s going to be hard for your friends to take him down. That said you’re going to make sure that nothing will go wrong for them.
Your eyes steeled in determination and your slow walk down the mountain turned into a brisk pace. You kept your gaze flittering about, searching for something that could be a problem for the three. Thankfully, there were little things that could actually bother them and they were easy to get rid of. Pretty soon, you were just naturally walking down the mountain with your calculating eyes taking in everything.
“SNAKES, WHY ARE THERE SNAKES!” You started at the noise and your body instinctively ran forward. Following the sound with a racing heart, you quickly found Hara, Yuzuki and Yada being cornered by reptiles. You quickly analyzed the snakes and hoped that they weren’t venomous. Thankfully they were just regular snakes, something that you can totally handle and you smiled in relief.
Jumping defensively in front of your friends, you crouched down to a combative stance as your three friends shouted in surprise, “(Y/N)-chan?!” You only give them a brief smile before you hardened your gaze at these snakes. You have to be prepared when they strike. Focusing on the hissing reptiles, you kept your body still as they slithered around you. You just patiently waited.
“Hiss,” A snake, one that was bigger than the rest, suddenly whipped its tail to your legs, and you instinctively dodged it with a quick leap to the left. The moment your foot touched the floor, a handful snakes darted to bite your ankle, but you quickly kicked them to the side. They hit the trunk of a tree hard, but you didn’t focus on them for the first one lunged at you.
Sidestepping, you made sure to keep them as far away from your friends as possible. In the end, you were taunting them to keep following you as you simultaneously backed away. You momentarily caught the worried looks of your friends and you reassured them with a smile and a, “I’m fine! I’ll keep them distracted! Just watch out for Chiba and Mimura carrying Okajima! They might need your help!” Then you disappeared from their sights as you made a mad dash farther away.
To your relief, the snakes decided to follow you. Maybe it’s because you were being frustrating as you dodged them, or it could be because you were doing a good job with your taunts, but no matter what the reason, they were hot on your tail. Searching for something to get rid of them with, you heard in the distance the screams of others shouting, “BOULDERS!” And an idea clicked in your mind.
Turning around, you give the snakes a challenging smirk before racing faster than ever. Somehow, the reptiles managed to keep up with your pace and it wasn’t long until you and the reptiles burst into a clearing, the screams coming from here. Narrowing your eyes, you saw your four new friends, the rebellious gang of E-class, trying to outrun a boulder. You quickly acted and rushed straight at them.
A surprised look passed their faces as they saw you approach and you give them a warming smile. Then you looked back to see if the snakes were following you. They still were and you smirked in predetermined victory. Quickly, you shouted at them, “Grab on to each other and hurry up if you want to get out of this safely!” Your order was obeyed completely and just in time too, because you raced right passed them, grabbing on to Terasaka’s wrist as you do so and hurriedly dragged them behind you. You were already at the other side of the clearing when you paused in your running.
The snakes that were following you didn’t hesitate to slither forward after you, but unfortunately for them, the boulder was still coming on strong. Soon enough, they were crushed and taken away by the passing boulder and the only thing that reminded you of the presence of these dangers were the marks left behind by the boulder. Smiling at how your small plan ended up, you cheered loudly before falling to the floor for the second time today.
“Good?” You asked, out of breath, and your friends just nod as they evened out their breathing. Smiling at them, you said, “That’s great. Anyways, I would love to stay and chat with you guys. But I have to keep going. This snake thing took a lot longer than I thought and I got to focus.” Then you stood up on shaky legs and gave them a small wave, “I’ll be going ahead then!” Then you forced you tired legs to move. You still have to finish clearing the mountain for your friends.
Huffing, you noted how this was the most you action you ever had to do. All this constant running, dodging, and protecting are taking a toll on your exhausted body and you just want to stop. Your legs felt like lead, but the thought of your friends encountering more problems kept you going. You have to protect them. That said, you hastened your pace when you heard the distinct screams of trouble.
“Is that a beehive?!” You had heard and you grimaced as you thought of how you’re going to solve this one. Gritting your teeth, you were met with Nagisa, Kayano, Sugino, Kanzaki, Sugaya, and Manami staring nervously at a beehive attached to a precariously dangling branch. You didn’t pause in your running as you eyed how incredibly high that beehive was. Groaning, you searched for a way to get up there before the branch breaks.
“(Y/N)-chan?” Came the chorus of surprised voices and you fleetingly give them a weary beam before launching yourself in the first branch of the tree, not even stopping in your run. When your hands gripped on the limb, your legs swung forward due to the momentum, and you used it to your advantage as you propelled yourself up with a flip. Easily landing at the third branch, you crouched to gain power in your aching legs before springing up.
“That’s dangerous, (Y/N)-chan!” Kayano shouted up at you when you scaled the remaining distance by using little stumps of wood, and you just replied back with a curt, I’m fine. You were too focused on the now cracking branch to reply reassuringly. Plus, you don’t think you have the energy to do anything more than what you’re doing now.
A loud snap met your ears and you turned worried eyes to the branch. It broke at the top and the crack had split it nearly all the way. It was only hanging on by a sliver of a bark and you knew that no matter how fast you climbed, you won’t be able to make it in time. That said when the branch completely broke you didn’t hesitate to dive for it with your quick reflexes.
Shouts of fear sounded below you, but you drowned it out as your hand made contact with the wood and you tightened your hold on it in mid air. Now falling to the ground, you threw the hive with as much strength as you can muster off to the side, far away from your friends, and you smiled when it practically sailed to the other side of the forest. You didn’t get any time to relish more in your actions, however, because the ground was still coming at you.
Remembering your lessons from the past, your body instinctively went limp as you naturally placed your feet shoulder-width apart, prepared to land on the balls of your feet. You patiently waited until you felt the ground with your heel before moving on to a diagonal roll. Using one foot to kick off, your shoulder made contact with the dirt and you made two tumbles across the ground floor before ultimately stopping, your right leg propped up as you kneeled with your left. With your friends’ safety secured, you collapsed on the floor with a heavy breath.
Immediately, you were surrounded by the six as they shouted in worry, amazement, and relief at what you done. Halfway through their fussing, you put a hand up and then waved it in the air, “Stop,” You heaved and you panted. “Just stop. Tell me are you guys alright?” You wheezed and they gave you a worrying glance before nodding simultaneously. Smiling at their response, you whispered, “Good,” Before pulling yourself up into a sitting position.
“You never change, do you, (Y/N)-chan?” Nagisa and Kayano said with a smile, knowing full well the distance you would go for your friends, and you breathily laughed in the air. Sugaya, Kanzaki, Sugino, and Manami watched you with the initial shock of your actions still present in their eyes, and you brightly beamed at them.
“Don’t mind what I do. Just know that it’s all in the name of protecting you guys.” Then you got up for the third time this day and you dusted off your clothing. “I’m gonna go. I have to keep going for Okajima’s and everyone else’s sakes.” Then you stretched out your tired limbs before giving them a dazzling smile. “I’ll make sure nothing else bothers you as you head on down.” Then you waved warmly at them before turning on your heel to continue your acts of protection. As your group of friends watch you leave, awe settled in each of them just as Karasuma-sensei and Irina-sensei approached them.
 ~*~*~*~
“We made it.” Isogai breathed out in happiness and you can only groan out loud as your chest heaved with every large breath you exhaled. The smile that was on his face dropped down to concern, and you quickly waved your hand dismissively when you saw it. “Are you okay, (Y/N)?” He whispered as he held out a hand. You minutely nodded before you took it, extremely fatigued, and Isogai pulled you up.
You fell in his arms, your balance completely out of whack, and your friend blinked in surprise. Isogai then gently wrapped his arm around your waist before setting you upright, an embarrassed look on his face. You managed to give him a small smile before ultimately slumping over. But before you can crumple to the ground again, Maehara saddled up to your other side, an arm around your waist too, with a playful grin.
“Well then, I can now say that you’ve been falling for me, (Y/N).” You rolled your eyes at the remark but were grateful for his and Isogai’s help, nonetheless.
“Thanks, I just need a moment to catch my breath.” You just finished climbing down the mountain, and you were more exhausted than your classmates. You had, after all, fended off and saved so many of your classmates from trouble. But, you weren’t complaining, you were quite happy to go through the trouble.
“(Y/N)-chan, are you sure you’re okay?” Kataoka said to you and you gave her, as well as everyone else a brilliant smile.
“Of course, I’m dandy. I promised to protect everyone that I love and I don’t plan on failing on that.” Upon your words, you classmate realized that they were a part of the people that you love, and a simultaneous awe settled over them.
You just smiled brightly as Isogai said, “Come on guys, let’s hurry and line up!” Everyone grudgingly followed him and you slowly parted from your two friends, your exhaustion gone because of your classmates’ happiness and safety. And the duo totally noticed your lack of warmth. Upon entering the auditorium, you then lined up behind Sugaya with Sugino behind you.
Immediately, a wave of hate renewed your body with energy and a sudden scowl was on your face. Just looking at all the students in A through D classes ignited a bonfire in your heart. And you knew you were going to have a hard time keeping calm. These people deserved your violence. And the very first victims of your anger came up to your close friend, Nagisa.
“So glad you could make it! Must’ve been tough coming down that mountain, I’m sure!” One of the two jerks cackled at him and you balled your hands into a fist as you saw them point and jeer at the rest of your classmates. In return, your friends stay quiet, bearing through the complaints, but you weren’t going to let that pass. Not at all. You did, after all, wanted to protect them. This included, of course, to verbal jeers.
“Oi,” You lowly called out and the students who were close enough to hear you turned their eyes to you. Immediately you saw a flash of fear and disgust in their irises. You didn’t pay any heed to those emotions as you just said, “Mind your own business.” Then you cracked your knuckles and gave them a deadly glare.
From what you saw, shivers ran down their spines as they gritted their teeth at you, but they didn’t dare say anything back, and you knew why. The majority of the school population thought that you attacked over half of them during the fiasco of last year. While it wasn’t true, since you just dodged and redirected their attacks, you decided to take this to your advantage. It’s just rumors anyway, and what they don’t know won’t kill them.
 ~*~*~*~
“In short, you are the cream of the crop – this nation’s chosen elite! I, your school dean, can vouch for that! But if you’re not careful you can wind up as worthless as you-know-who!” At that your classmates lowered their heads as the rest of the student population laughed at his words.
“Is that all you’re going to keep saying? Get on with it! We only have until the end of lunch.” You shouted amongst the masses and the school dean glared at the population of the E-class, looking for the person who said it. When he caught your gaze, you saw him tensed as he began to grind his teeth. He’s scared of you, just like the rest of the students, but he wouldn’t say it out loud.
So while he continued to glare at you, and you coolly returning it fiercer, a girl came up to the side and gestured for him to get off the stage, since he was doing absolutely nothing to degrade your fellow classmates. You just smirked in satisfaction as the dean trudged angrily away while swearing under his breath. “Next, we’ll have an address by the student council. Please have the speakers begin their preparations.”
You didn’t bother listening to her as you heard a distinct, “Psst,” to your right. Turning your head, you’re met with Hinano and Rio as they held up their sheaths for their knives. “Isn’t it cute, (Y/N)-chan? We decorated it so that we can kill in style.” Your eyes lit up at the sight and you agreeably nodded your head. You parted your lips to tell them of your opinion verbally, when Karasuma-sensei suddenly came up to your friends.
He quickly said, “Cuteness is all well and good, but don’t pull them out in public! We absolutely cannot let the other classes find out about the assassination!” Then your friends dejectedly put them away as he left. You merely smiled in amusement at the interaction, kind of glad to have some type of distraction from your anger.
The doors to the auditorium then burst open and you suddenly heard gasps of awe. You glanced over your shoulder and saw Irina-sensei walking with her head held up high, the picture of grace. “Bitch-sensei was ready to drop just a minute ago, too.” Sugino commented and you laughed under your breath as you gave your teacher a smile. She minutely waved back at you before approaching Nagisa.
“Now that we’ve ditched that octopus, I thought I’d ask you something. You’ve been keeping track of all his weaknesses, right? Let me borrow your notebook.” You overheard her say.
Nagisa then replied with, “What? I already told you all the ones that matter.” Your English teacher then retorted back by saying how he’s keeping all the juicy stuff and Nagisa shook his head, “No, I’m serious-.” He tried to explain but then he was quickly met with Irina-sensei’s breast and your eyes widened in surprise.
“Irina-sensei, we talked about this before!” You lowly whispered to her over Sugaya’s shoulder and she pouted at you. You were about to scold her with your beliefs in romance again when Karasuma did you a favor and pulled her away. You then smiled, out of justice of course, as she was ordered to stay put on the sides.
“The student council events are explained on the handouts you’ve just been given.” That suddenly got your attention and you tore you gaze from your teachers to the front, eyes steeling to a glare. You weren’t given a handout and you knew that it was on purpose. That’s when Isogai told the male student how E-class didn’t receive any and the latter replied with, “Oh? You didn’t get any? How strange. I’m sorry! Seems like we forgot to make enough copies for you! I guess you’ll just have to memorize the whole thing before you leave!”
The students in A through D classes then laughed out loud and you feel your anger coming back ten-fold. You opened your mouth to retort back to them, prepared to say how incompetent they must be to forget how many copies they had to made, but you swiftly shut your mouth when a paper landed in your hands. Staring at the paper in confusion, you wondered just when this got in your grasp before a familiar voice made it crystal clear.
“Korosensei, I was wondering where you were.” You smiled brightly at him as Korosensei twirled a pencil in his hands. He then asked if everyone had a copy of the handout and you raised your hand subtly. “I promised Karma that I’ll get him a copy.” You said and a moment later another paper fluttered in your hands. You then beamed appreciatively as Isogai told the male on the stage that he can proceed.
“What? N-no way! How? Hey now! Who killed our fun?!” He then cleared his throat at the unintentional slip and then continued with his speech. All the while, you had a smirk on your face, so glad that your teachers were here to make the assembly more bearable for you. If your teachers weren’t here to make you smile or distract you, you would’ve surely done more than speak up in this assembly. That said you didn’t hesitate to laugh with your class as Irina-sensei got taken away, yet again, by Karasuma-sensei for trying to attack Korosensei. (So many senseis in one sentence)
 ~*~*~*~
“Oh Nagisa, I wanted to tell you something!” You shouted as you made your way over to the vending machine. Your blue-haired friend stood up, drink in hand, as confusion settled on his face. You momentarily give him a tiny smile before saying, “I just wanted to tell you that I’m-.”
Hey, Nagisa,” You were completely cut off by two familiar voices, voices that you recognized form the assembly, and you automatically clenched your jaw. “Don’t you think you’re getting a bit too big for your britches?” Focusing your gaze on the two who seem to enjoy messing around with your friend, you steely glared at them as they tried to ignore your deadly aura. “Laughing during the assembly and stuff… How about learning some respect? You E-class losers should keep your heads down where they belong.”
“What with your crappy lives weighing you down and all,” You found your hand tightening into a fist. You told yourself that you’re going to change the way you protect now. You weren’t going to resort to violence if they didn’t understand what they were doing, but these bastards knew. They knew that Nagisa and you were in E-class and they were conscious of their words and how it would affect us, and yet they chose to say it. In your book, in your heart, you knew that they deserve whatever you’re going to give them.
“You dumb in more ways than one? Say something! Or d’you want me to kill you!” At his words, your vision turned red again at the threat and the way he viciously grabbed for Nagisa’s shirt. You began to grit your teeth as resisted rage built up inside you. This time you reminded yourself that you weren’t going to be abruptly violent; however, you were ready to fight if the situation spiraled to it. You were ready to defend Nagisa. You were ready to sock one of them in the jaw if it came down to it when a sudden low chuckle reached your ears.
“Like you’ve ever tried to kill someone before,” You heard Nagisa’s rare threat and you felt your body go limp. It wasn’t like Nagisa to say something like that, but oddly enough you were glad to hear something like that from him. It meant that he wasn’t going to take their jabs.
Surprised, suddenly fearing, the jerk released Nagisa’s collar and took a step away from him. Nagisa proceeded to walk forward before he stopped and gave you a small smile. “Are you coming, (Y/N)-chan?” He said kindly and you take a moment to reply back to him.
“Give me a moment,” Then your arms tensed up again as you held the two of them by their collar. Raising them to the air, you collided their backs to a nearby wall. Your arms were shaking from having to suppress the urge to pummel them directly, and you heaved a deep sigh in restraint. “I told you, didn’t I? Mind your own business or I’ll mess with yours.” You then cast them a tight-lipped smile. “I’m trying to change here, but if you keep this up... I wouldn’t know what to do.”
Then you let them go. They pathetically slumped to their asses and you straightened back up with a smile. Expelling one more breath, as if to rid your body of the desire to hurt the other students, you turned on your heels and approached Nagisa. The said male had his brows raised as he took in your tamed actions. Before, you would have left them bloodied up, a crack would be on the sidewalk. Violence would have surely been known. But you displayed restraint... and Nagisa was about to bring that up when you interrupted him with a tiny grin.
“Before you say anything, I’m sorry.” You suddenly declared and Nagisa turned shocked eyes to yours. “I’m sorry that I made you worry when I was about to throw that chair two days ago. I wasn’t thinking about my actions clearly and almost hurt Irina-sensei when I knew nothing about her side. I just got so angry when she dissed you and the others that I wanted to…” You trailed off as you directed your gaze to your feet, shameful at your previous actions.
“I was hurting others when they didn’t understand. Korosensei helped me realize that and I decided that I’m going to think if their intentions are purely hateful before doing anything. I won’t throw punches the moment someone tries to hurt you all, I’ll try to be a little more sensible with my actions.”
You then got the courage to look in his blue eyes again, and said with determination laced in your voice, “Nagisa, I promise that I won’t make you worry about me anymore. I won’t be rash about how I’m protecting you and everyone that I love. I’ll protect you guys correctly, like he did before.”
At your words, Nagisa immediately understood who you were referring to. As you just watched for his facial features for any response, Nagisa internally beamed at your words. He was worried that your vow to protect everyone at all costs would lead you down to a bad path full of thoughtless violence. But after hearing what you just said, he was quite happy to hear that you’re thinking more clearly, and that you were going to follow your friend’s footsteps and protect the people you love like him.
You began to smile bigger when you saw Nagisa’s lips turn up, and you happily beamed at him. You then launched on talking about how you made up with Terasaka and his crew and that you apologized to Irina-sensei. You even began talking about the things you found you had in common with your four new friends and your English teacher. As you talk about all that, Nagisa glanced at you.
He suddenly felt a warm feeling in his stomach as he met your delighted gaze. He can’t describe it well, but looking in your eyes and seeing how you’re so resolute in this method of protecting made him feel incredibly happy. So happy that Nagisa supposed it made his heart beat a little bit faster. And he didn’t mind the sudden racing of his heart at all as he continued to smile and listen to your pleasant stories.
