Hola Presley💖 I was re-reading your danipierre fic, and I realized that Charles will appear in the other chapters, my question is: will we have a love triangle here and Charles will be the bad guy?

Awe I’m glad you enjoyed it enough to re-read. To answer your question with as little explanation/spoiler: no. I like to write more realistic depictions of people/characters that flows and fits well. To make Charles the bad guy in the fic makes it seem as though I chose this to fit the narrative. I also don’t want a generic love-triangle that you see in thousands of other media/fics. Another reason Charles is not the bad guy is because the fic is Daniil’s story (something I’ll touch upon in a second).

Charles will be appearing in Chapter 2 and I can’t quite remember if he’s in Chapter 3? If he is... he doesn’t play a large role. But Chapter 2 is where he appears the most. He is there to create history for Pierre as well as being a kinda... foil to Daniil and a representation of what Daniil WANTS so desperately to be for Pierre. He also knows Pierre the best and this makes Daniil jealous in a way because he is holding himself back from knowing Pierre more intimately due to his fear of his emotions.

Touching back on the whole thing about this being Daniil’s story. It will become more evident in chapter 2 but the main theme of this story is self-sabotage and how it holds Daniil back. Chapter 1 is the development of Danierre which created the chemistry for their relationship in Chapter 2 which then leads into the audience actually caring when Danierre breaks down in Chapter 2/3.

The story is Daniil’s journey. In the fic Daniil is his worst enemy. Pierre clearly cares for him but he has a hard time accepting that Pierre truly does because it scares him that he is struggling to keep a grip on his emotions. That’s another theme, a pretty basic head vs heart. Daniil chooses his head over his heart and is in constant debate because he doesn’t choose what makes him happy.

Anyways, Charles is important because he is a physical representation of what Daniil secretly wishes to be for Pierre. Charles also really cares for Pierre and has no qualms about showing it. That is something Daniil struggles with as well. Because he didn’t understand his emotions, he doesn’t act on them which pushes Pierre further away from him.

Closing off, sorry this is long. (I go heavy in themes, character development and blah blah in my fics.) so Charles isn’t the bad guy because the fic already has a bad guy: Daniil. Daniil is his own worst enemy. That’s something he’s meant to overcome by the end of the fic in order to keep Pierre. So basically... the fic is Daniil over coming himself hence why Charles, in a subtle way, is the tipping point which you’ll see in a few days when Chapter 2 comes out. ❤️❤️

I'm honestly so done with that portion of Lewis fanbase that accuses everyone of racism. Like, you don't like Lewis' dominance? You're automatically racist. Never occured them that people want competition? Imagine if every World Cup was won by the same NT...

Sometimes it's not that deep, sometimes people just follow who they follow and that's it. I am not a Max or Lewis fan but I hope Max wins this year because I am glad to get another championship battle :)

Max said they shouldn’t be racing in Russia but other than him, Fernando, Pierre and Seb I haven’t seen any responses from other drivers. I’m so sorry this is happening to you, are you able to stay somewhere safe or are most cities at risk right now??

I go to uni in the US but my family left Ukraine a week ago as did many due to impending invasion. It will be a long time before they or I can ever go home. It was good timing. A lot of friends and their families can’t leave because of congested roads and airports are shut down. Residential buildings are being caught in the cross fire and people are dying. Thanks for asking, I wish everyone luck during this time.

It's one thing to say Lewis is at fault for the accident, it's another to say the accident was an attempted murder. What Red Bull did yesterday was disgusting and they knew very well what they were doing.

That I agree with. What I don't agree with is immediately blaming it on racism only. RB are desperate to cling onto this championship, they'll do anything they can to keep it. The public's racist comments on posts, media etc is what is unexcused racism and I am glad both Merc and RB spoke out against it.
