I started down that lonesome road.
geiger playthrough update:
So far, Ulysses reminds me of geiger when he was in his "I'm going to start The Great War 2" era.
But if he was a dork

The Divide is my favorite map from New Vegas
like, no joke, ever since I first stepped into lonesome road I was captivated by the map design and the surreal nature of it all alone
going from the Mojave Wasteland which is just basically a massive desert, kind of predictable but with a few odd spots, to this massive canyon like area, enormous ruins and strange buildings, nonsensical pipes jutting from the cliffsides and the constant dust and wind blowing through just made it hit different for me
(lighting will probably be different than the actual game cause I use nevada skies lol)
legit even just the walk up to the first silo got me so fuckin hooked, man
looking down into the massive canyon and coming upon this strange door leading into an even stranger and really weird silo was such a cool part of the DLC and it was only the start
this whole map is just filled with stuff like this and I love it
things don’t make complete sense at all, the ruins of these buildings make not a single lick of sense but I fucking love it for that, it’s all so strange to look at and behold
honestly if I were to make a post apocalyptic story, I’d take heavy inspiration from The Divide and Lonesome Road as a whole, I loved that DLC
purely visual wise it is my favorite of all New Vegas DLCs
the fact that it also uses music from Fallout 1, which was already very post apocalyptic, surreal even, just added to the whole thing
I wish I could play through the DLC for the first time again, minus all the frustration, because it genuinely is my favorite location in pretty much the whole fallout franchise

Just finished watching the Fallout tv series. Not bad! Was excited to see New Vegas there at the end; potential location for a potential season 2?
I understand why they wanted to do their own thing (trying to recreate the plot of an actual Fallout game would be way too much, even for a TV series), though if anything this is more just making me wish for a series like this about the New Vegas DLCs. They’re just the right size for streaming seasons like this, and getting to Lonesome Road and the realization of how they’re all connected just 👌🏼 Dead Money may make me wanna shit my pants every time I play, but it would make for an excellent season of TV. There’s a single flashback to base game(-ish) events and it’s when Ulysses passes over the platinum chip job to give it to Courier Six. Do you see my vision?

This is what happened at the end of Lonesome Road, surely?

Lonesome Road spoilers
❗️
So I decided to fight Ulysses with my bare hands.
holy shit.
His spear glitched.
It looks like a fucking impaled him on his own staff.
Look at this.
god I wish I could animate full fight scenes

WIP of Courier Six doing what she does best - ruining people’s day and/or whole lives.
It hints at the events after 'Smells like a Heist' and all the trouble in store for the Followers of the Apocalypse. Things like eviction. Or evading taxes. Or debt.
Or hiding a wanted and dangerous war criminal from the lawful authorities of New Vegas.

"This is Mr. New Vegas, and I feel something magic in the air tonight, and I'm not just talking about the gamma radiation." ✨🌃🌵🌙
Aaa so it’s been a long long time since I made some New Vegas art, but I promised myself if my fanmix on Spotify got to 500 followers, I would revamp the cover art. So here it is!
