“Star Creator, we always thank you and love you!”
They wrap up the pajama party livestream, thanking the staff and staying to chat as the cameras are switched off. (Or so they think, lol)
“The vibe was pretty good,” Kamden tells Matthew. The other boy agreeing instantly.
“I think we were able to show new sides of ourselves.”
Suddenly the staff play a recording, surprising them all. It’s video messages from Star creators all over the world for them to watch. Kamden grabs a fluffy pillow as he watches everyone slowly get emotional. Seungeon cries. Zhang Hao cries. Yujin cries. Almost everyone is crying.
Kamden gets a message from a fan in Norway, which is pretty cool. Then, something he never expected happens. He recognises your voice before he even realises it’s you.
“Kamden, annyeong~”
The pillow falls off his lap.
It’s you. It’s really you. You who he hasn’t been able to video call in a few days because of practice and your schedule and the time difference. He almost calls out your name but it sits tight in his throat, unable to reach you.
You’re on screen, wearing one of the shirts you’ve stolen from him, holding onto the plushie he bought for you at that silly little shop after you insisted it looked like him. God, he hasn’t seen you in over a year.
“Dude, you okay?” Jay asks him softly.
He must look like an idiot, eyes blown wide, mouth slightly open, hanging onto every word that comes out of your mouth.
“I’ve been watching Boy’s Planet since the teasers were released. And you’ve always been my favourite.”
Kamden knows. You’ve been spamming your chat with him with all these little clips from the PR videos to the behind the scenes footage. Screenshots of you voting for him on the Mnet+ app, comments you’ve left on his fancam videos, even the funny memes you found of him on Twitter all greet him when he opens his phone after practice.
Hope my favourite trainee is doing well and staying healthy! Take care of yourself and know I’m always rooting for you! I love and miss you so much! Hoping for your debut!
Your messages are his favourite. And speaking of:
“I’ve made a little compilation of photos right here. I hope you like how I decorated them, I really tried my best~”
All the trainees ooh and ahh over the handmade album you bring up to the screen compiled with photos of him from the program and cute little notes and stickers. Kamden can’t move, can’t talk.
Because that’s your album, the one you had insisted on starting when he and you began dating. He knows that if you flipped to the other pages, it would be full of photos of both of you, dates, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, awards that either of you might have won, events that were important to you or him or both of you, everything carefully labelled. It was one of your favourite things to print out all the photos and he’d help you decorate them.
He can’t believe you kept that up after he left for Korea.
“You’ve stood out to me in every performance. You’re so talented and so many people are cheering you on so please remember to have confidence in yourself.” Your voice wavers a little towards the end of the sentence and as slight as it is, he catches that. He knows you.
Kamden only registers the wetness on his cheeks when the tears are already going, fast and furious. He reaches up, trying to dab them away gently with his sleeve. On screen, you blink rapidly and he knows you’re trying your best not to cry either. Even thousands of miles away, on a video you probably recorded weeks ago, you and him are still in sync. Maybe the rest of the trainees don’t see it but he does. Of course he does.
“I hope you take care of yourself always. Make sure to eat enough and get enough rest. I’ll be voting for you everyday so just do your best in practice and performing and us Star Creators will take care of the rest. We’ll support you so you can achieve your dream of debuting~”
To everyone else, you were just a particularly supportive fan. But to Kamden, you were his person, the one he was devoted to and he can’t help it, sobbing a little into his sleeve. Several pats on the back as the other trainees around him try to comfort him. He can’t help but cry even more. Why were you so far away? Why couldn’t you be here where he could hug you and kiss you and just be with you?
“Na Kamden hwaiting! Saranghae~”
That’s it. He turns and buries his face fully into his hands as if doing that would soak up all the tears that won’t stop coming. Matthew and Jay have scooted over, voices overlapping as they rub his shoulders and back and ask what’s wrong. Even Zhang Hao’s hovering a little on the side, equally concerned.
Maybe he’ll say something later, when there are no mics and no cameras. He’s been training for years and you’ve both agreed that in a career like the one he aspires to get into, keeping it quiet would be the best. Idols don’t date. Idols don’t have a significant other in a whole other country that they call when they can find free time. Even when it comes to casual conversation where there isn’t a camera directly trained on them, Kamden just doesn’t say anything.
They do ask him later. And when he says you’re a close friend he hasn’t seen in awhile, their faces light up in recognition. He leaves it at that.
You walk into the arena with a little trepidation.
It’s all been a blur. Packing your things, flying to Korea, meeting up with Kamden’s mom and brother who have been kind enough to get you a ticket pass for the family section. Of course, he has no idea you’re even here.
You’re quite a bit more nervous about surprising him than you thought. While you’d give anything to see him again, it was a little risky in such a public venue with so many people watching and cameras everywhere filming almost any angle. Maybe you can be discreet enough if you do break down but Kamden’s on stage, the spotlights bright and on him. Fans are probably filming him on their own devices.
At this point, you’ll just have to trust your boyfriend to keep his reactions to a believable level. You don’t stand too close to his family, trying to keep your distance but also staying near enough that you’d be in the same general direction if Kamden glanced your way.
You end up on the side, along with a few other people who seem to be dressed as discreetly as you, masks on too. The looks you exchange seem to come to a general understanding of why you’re all here and who you’re here for.
Kamden doesn’t notice you when the Top 18 first file in. You don’t expect him to but you see him though. There’s a growing knot in your stomach, emotions welling up from actually seeing him not through a screen but so close that you could walk on stage and touch him. You don’t do that, of course. But still, he’s so near that it almost hurts not being able to throw yourself into his arms for a hug.
You’ve wanted this so much, especially after more than a year of not seeing him. But right now, you feel frozen. You only watch as they start getting into positions for the signal song. Fans are cheering, even the family members and friends of the trainees are calling out words of support. Still, your voice sticks to your throat, as much as you want to shout out, something keeps you from doing it.
Good thing Kamden’s brother does it for you. It probably surprises you and his mom more than it should but who can blame you when he almost never does that? Kamden’s surprised too, maybe it’s a twin thing but he immediately stands up straighter looking for where his brother’s voice is coming from.
And then he sees you.
His eyes meet yours and they widen considerably. His mouth even drops open a little. You’re smiling so much and you’re sure it shows from how your eyes crinkle, just a little glossy. But you’re not going to cry just yet. Instead, you wave at him. He can’t do much more than give a little wave back before they seem to be ready to start filming.
Suddenly, your heart feels just a little lighter. You step back and watch him dance the signal song. You’ve seen him do it a thousand times, every time you stream his video. It feels so surreal, being able to see it like this, right in front of you. When the song ends, you see his eyes flick back in your direction, searching for your face. When he finds it, his expression brightens.
It’s amazing, watching someone you love do what they love. Sure, you’ve seen Kamden dance, you’ve gotten him to sing and even rap for you a little before. But it’s different with the stage and the lights and the crowd and he looks so comfortable there. You laugh when you see the Jelly Pop teaser, maybe you’ll get him to wear that dress again, just so you can get photos. The final song is almost bittersweet and you try your best but a few tears do slip out.
He’s messaged you about barely making it to the finale, you’ve monitored the program, watched his rank. You both know his chances are slim. But they’re possible. Still, he’s told you that he’s prepared for the equal possibility of not debuting. His company should have plans, he assured you. You watch him walk over to every one of his fellow trainees who’ve made it to debut, offering hugs and congratulating them. And as the number of spots dwindle, you keep your hopes up but you begin to accept it as well.
By the time they’ve called third, you watch as he walks over to Matthew, one of the trainees he’s closest with from what he’s told you. Maybe he lingers a little longer. Maybe you catch his eyes as he looks over. Hwaiting! You mouth, shaking your fists a little in encouragement. The emotions are swirling inside you. When the camera pans over to him, he’s teary eyed, covering his face the way he always does when he gets like that. You can’t help it. The emotions are starting to spill over and you breathe between the occasional tears.
After they announce the ninth place, everything suddenly starts moving so fast and so slow. They wrap up filming. The audience begins to file out. The cameras switch off one by one. You go backstage.
When he walks in, mic gone, still in that uniform that you keep teasing about, you don’t hold back. His arms wrap around you and you fall into him, holding him so tightly you wish you didn’t need to let go. And then both of you start crying.
“I missed you so much, Kam.” You’re holding onto the fabric of his jacket, gripping at it so desperately you’re almost afraid it might rip.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” He manages, his head somehow buried on your shoulder, tears soaking the cloth of your shirt.
“Surprise?” It comes out weak, a little shaky as you both laugh brokenly through your sobs.
“I can’t believe you’re here.” He holds you even tighter, like he’s afraid you might fade into thin air.
“I’ll be here for a while.” You tell him. “I wish I could’ve come sooner but-”
“It’s okay seriously, you’re here now.” If he squeezes you anymore, you feel like your heart might burst. “I’m so happy to see you.”
He goes back with you. There’s few brief introductions to Jay and Matthew and a few other trainees he’s grown close with, nudges and knowing looks and raised eyebrows. But it’s nothing to stress about, you manage to make it back under the radar.
You feel him watching you as you grab a few more things from your suitcase after both of you have showered and you’re wearing another one of his old shirts. Before you know it, your legs are tangled together, your head resting on his shoulder, your hands intertwined.
“I don’t want to sleep,” he says quietly. “I don’t want to wake up and find out this is a dream and you aren’t here.”
“You aren’t dreaming, Kam.” You reassure him, lifting your head to kiss his cheek. Even in the privacy of this room, he blushes.
“Even if I didn’t make it, at least I have you.”
“You do, Kam. You always do.” And you know he will make it, one day.

This one came out more gingerbread than red hot. Maybe even shading toward eggnog. I hope you enjoy ^_^ Approx. 1000 words of a teasing Gilbert. IkePri New Years Event story!
Gilbert sat down next to the little rabbit and settled back on the padded wood bench. This was a decent tavern she’d selected. Warm, lively but not rough. The floor and tables were clean, and it smelled of stew and beer and fresh bread.
“So. Umm. This is a place the princes sometimes go to drink.” Emma gestured nervously to their surroundings.
He set his chin in his hand and fixed her with his scarlet gaze. “Do you come here to drink with princes often?” Though it was foolish, he felt a slight prick of jealousy at the idea.
She shook her head. “No. I mean, once or maybe twice? Jin and Leon recommended it.”
“Interesting.”
The barmaid stopped at their table and when her eyes landed on Gilbert, they went wide. “W-what can I g-get for you?”
Gilbert gestured for Emma to order. It would be informative to see what she thought he liked. That, and the barmaid might faint if he addressed her directly. Oh the perils of reputation.
“Two mugs of mulled wine, please.” She glanced at him from the corner of her eye as if looking for a reaction.
He didn’t give her one. His smile didn’t shift in the slightest, but he was curious why she’d ordered the same for both of them. It could signal that she felt they were equals here. Or perhaps the spiced wine was very good here. Or something else entirely. Gilbert felt a little thrill at this new phase of the hunt.
“They have good food here too, if you’re hungry,” Emma told him. She set her hands primly in her lap, trying to project a calm demeanor. That wouldn’t do at all.
Gilbert let his knee bump hers lightly under the table, and noted the way her eyes widened. Rather than move his leg, he let it rest against hers. Surprisingly she didn’t move away either. But at the warm, gentle pressure of his thigh against hers, Emma’s cheeks went adorably hot.
“Is that so? What would you recommend? I’m in the mood for a bite of rabbit.” His smile was wide and a little predatory.
She gave a start, and then nodded. “Umm. Ok. Well . . . they have rabbit stew here. I don’t know if it’s any good, but we could -”
Gilbert leaned over and settled his chin on her shoulder. “I don’t want stew.”
“O-oh.” Her pulse was beating fast. He could see it in her throat, a slight flutter beneath her skin. He wondered what it would feel like against his lips, what she might taste of. Emma cleared her throat, and did her best to pretend she couldn’t feel his breath on her cheek. “S-something else then?”
“Sure.” He let his chin inch a little closer to her along the line of her shoulder.
She looked toward the front of the tavern, where the menu was written in large chalked letters on a slate board. “They - they have, umm, rabbit fr-fricasse?”
“I don’t think so.” His lips nearly brushed her skin. From here he could feel her heartbeat through her skin, and the catch in her breath. He leaned back, releasing her without taking what he really wanted.
Emma frowned. “Then what? I’m sure you can just tell them what you want and they’ll make it. I can’t just keep guessing.”
The waitress came with their drinks. Pewter mugs full of warm spiced red wine. It smelled of honey and roses, sweet and intoxicating.
Gilbert let the cup heat his hands, but didn’t drink. Emma, however, had no compunctions. She blew across the steaming surface and took a little sip, her eyes closing with pleasure.
“It’s so good!” She sighed happily. “Did you taste yours yet?” There was so much joy in her, he thought.
“I’m letting it cool off.”
Emma shrugged. “Suit yourself. But it’s best when you drink it hot. It warms you up all the way.”
Gilbert cocked his head. “All the way?” He slid one of his wine-warmed hands down to rest on her leg. “You still feel a little chilly to me . . .”
“W-well maybe not my legs.” She wriggled a bit on the bench, but still didn’t move away or try to remove his hand.
He let his hand stroke gently up her thigh, enjoying the firm softness of her, even through her dress. “Maybe I should help. I wouldn’t want my lovely hostess to be cold.”
Emma made a little choked sound, somewhere between denial and a sigh of pleasure. “Not. Cold.” She took another sip of her wine.
“Your face is certainly warm.” He leaned closer again, as if studying her flushed cheeks and wide eyes. “Maybe that’s from the wine?”
“Yes. I-it’s very good. You should t-taste it?” Emma gestured to the mug.
Gilbert’s smile widened. “Well, if you insist. Of course I will.” And then he let his lips brush hers. A light touch, just enough to taste a hint of sweetness on them and the sharp tang of the wine.
She melted into his touch, her lips pressed to his, parting. Her hand clutching his coat.
He meant to pull away, just to tease, but her eager response took him by surprise. And it was not in his nature to retreat from a victory. Gilbert’s tongue flicked between her parted lips, and he let go of the wine to pull her close.
Her mouth tasted of wine and honey, and the prickling heat of cinnamon and cloves. And beneath that, another sweetness that was all her own. Gilbert’s eye fluttered closed as he let himself indulge. She was more intoxicating than any liquor, and her kiss made him drunk with her.
It was hard to care about where they were or who might be watching. For a moment, Gilbert let himself forget and just be. A man kissing a woman, a man in . . . love?
He broke the kiss and let go.
Emma’s breath was unsteady, her cheeks flushed and her eyes hotter still. There was so much passion there, and surprise. She put a hand to her mouth, fingers resting lightly on her lips as if she wasn’t sure what had just happened.
“You’re right,” Gilbert grinned. “The wine is very good. And so is the rabbit.”

I feel like there’s sooo many things about me I’m trying to decide three solid ones that truly show who I am hmmm… 🤔
1. I’m a stay at home MILF, most of my mutuals know that already but I have a son, he’s about to be 5. He loves Spider-Man and Pokémon and Asking Alexandria. AND he is named after Fox Mulder. He’s pretty fuckin cool if you ask me.
2. I’m super into collecting things. I have like 100 something Funkos, lots of Figurines, dolls, and plushies. I also collect DVDs (like fr if you’re trynna have a movie night I have it ALLLL), I also collect clothes/accessories, specifically hoodies, I used to work at Hot Topic so it all just kind of got out of hand bc of my discount 😅 My room looks like my brain exploded and all the stuff inside it came out tbh.
3. I’m a definition homebody. I don’t really like going out much. I’m not into going to bars or drinking or partying (I did all that in my early 20s I used to be a dancer lol). As I’ve gotten older my sensory issues have gotten worse and worse (she’s a neurodivergent baddieee) so If I do go out I go to the movies or go to lunch with a friend every once in a while. I’d rather have people come over and I can feed them and watch movies and play games ✨and smoke✨in my enclosure together.

update!
get ready folks this is a rollercoaster of emotions but uh, just to put this out here, it isn’t exactly good news
alright, so i think i’m gonna go ahead and quit writing for this blog. yeah, not exactly the best start to this - you think as a writer i’d know what words to use.
before anything - nope, i am not going to deactivate my blog, next best thing is to archive it since there’s so many memories that i like to at least keep, of my moots and of just a lot of things in general that i like to memorialize and a lot of writings and posts.
i want to keep them here because i want someone, whoever comes across it, to read whichever one and feel some semblance of comfort; that’s the main reason why i made this blog in the first place and that’s how i intend to leave it.
oh uh, yeah, for the reasons why i’m quitting, i can technically list a few :
genshin burnout : i don’t feel as strongly as i do for the game anymore, not as excited, even as fontaine was released, and stopped playing it a few months back. so, y’know, as genshin-centric this blog is, it’s technically a bit hard to try and get into something that you long lost interest for.
school : it’s catching me off-guard every time and even though i found a rhythm with my classes and schedule, it’s only asking for more of my time and, quite literally demanding. i’ll be honest and say that i can’t juggle a blog with a post every day and stay consistent with my schoolwork and what’s expected of me. i need to start thinking about my future.
spiraling thoughts : yup, you read that right; i’m back at it again with me thinking that my writing isn’t good enough and am doubting my skills as a writer as a whole, especially with my way of writing that as his poetic touch to it that’s making me wonder if it’s even worth anything at all.
with that, i think i just need to start writing for myself again because i haven’t felt that feeling for literally a while now.
have i thought about this for a while now? i have actually, somewhere in the middle of august but i was really, really hesitant for a lot of reasons.
said reasons being mainly my moots. i don’t like the ideas of leaving any of them behind at all, especially with them being the main reason why i love opening this app every day, seeing them flood my dash with everything that happened the night before, saying good morning, and seeing them in my notifs and inbox with their chaos and genuineness. i have so many memories here that i consider so dear to me because of each and every one of them, making my day and night, and… i don’t know, it’d suck to lose all of them.
@mikacynth : you were my first moot and i know i’ve mentioned and said this so many times to the point that you’d probably get sick of it but it did and does mean a lot to me knowing that you opened a door for me to meet so many others that made writing and just being on here amazing. you’re just so damn cool, creative, and nice and i’m so, so happy that i met you.
@floraldresvi : i don’t remember how i met you, and i’m so sorry for that vi, but you’re the kindest, absolutely gentle and attentive person i know and i just wonder how i ever got the chance to talk to you and be moots. i wish you nothing but the best because that’s all you deserve and more and you better keep that in mind vi.
@st0pthatsgay : this was a strangers to friends to lovers arc fr!! sorry i couldn’t help that, do you know how long i wanted to make that joke? but seriously, oli, you and your unbridled chaos and energy never fails to make my dash and quite literally everyone else who follows you like a rom-com movie or something; i’m so glad that i can call you a moot and one that i cherish so, so much.
@papiliotao : rei, you made my day whenever you drop in one of your small blurbs into my inbox and i get the space to just write whatever comes to mind; it was a little thing we had and, i don’t know, i loved it. i love it still a lot. it was like a duo we had and always made me smile with whatever we talked about, maybe just about writing in general or the cats that you always see. i’m just sorry that we won’t be able to have our wedding soon. really.
@supernova25 : bestie, i still remember those times about the ai bots!! i still think about them a lot!! it was fun!! in general, you’re always a lot of fun to talk to, and it could be about anything and it’d fly off the roof. also your asks about the most random of things has definitely made me feel better on my worst of days just to put that out there.
@soleillunne : i’d make a joke about you running up for the title of creator of angst and all that but you’ve always been so sweet so let me just push that aside, considerate as well; don’t think i didn’t see you send me links of anything scaramouche related because i do and i appreciate that so much

@m1shapanda, @snobwaffles, @vennnnn-diagram : you three are, excuse me for my language, so fucking amazing. i always wanted to talk to you so many times and even when i did, always hoped that we could’ve talked a bit more. misha, you’re so cool and i always wanted to just ramble with you; that and your art is so pretty and soft and just so DAMN COOL did i mention that? snob, you detective, you and your curse arts that make me laugh as much as pour bleach on my eyes (/j), you’re just so supportive and i really like that about you. ven, i wished we could’ve talked a lot more too with how just vibe with everyone so quickly and easily - you’re just as amazing, really.
and to all of my other moots, the same goes to you, even with the ones i didn’t talk to as much - just being moots with you, knowing that someone liked me like i liked them made me feel more belong on here and more a part of something. i’ve never been a part of something like this, and know so many people and to know that i mean something to them? yeah, that really, really means a lot to me.
i’d probably just be a lurker on here than anything… haven’t really thought that far, only that i know that i can’t stay on here any longer without feeling guilty, burdened, stressed, or all of the above. or maybe just start off as a smaller blog again without any sense of obligation because ever since i’ve hit 500, which was a while ago, that’s what this blog started to feel like with each bit of time that passed.
i’ve enjoyed it, of course i did, don’t get me wrong! i’ve just been enjoying it less than i did when i started off, that feeling of accomplishment and joy and pride at myself numbing a bit more with each milestone i passed. that’s just all me though, i’m sure.
anyways, not right now though, maybe just around the weekends when i actually have time to spare. so, until then, i’ll stick around here as much as i can. other than that, i don’t have much else to say other than thank you.
that i hope that you’ll keep doing what you love, whatever that is, despite the highs and lows. just know that the community you’re in is filled with people who love you through and through and that i do too - that you’ll do what you love because you want to, not because you should.

You fire another one, grin widening evermore as you giggle at your own shenanigans, catching his gaze with a sweet twinkle in your eyes. You bite your lip as you begin to think of another one.
This time he is the one that shoots it first, “mm you look great with those pants on… bet you’d look even better with them off.” And he scoops you up into his lap to press your foreheads together and pepper sweet little kisses on your reddening cheeks.
Amidst your happy noises as he delivers his affection, you ask him what he’s doing. To which he replies, “the better question is what you were doing?”
“I was boooored..”
“I figured as much, I have something much more interesting in mind that we can do..”
You eventually learn that cheesy pick-up lines do work sometimes... on handsome hitmen whose hearts you have already captured

He’s definitely amused! Perhaps even too interested in the silly quips leaving your lips. When you capture his attention with the first cheesy line, he gives you his full attention as he tries to process what you mean when you say that his father “must be a baker” because of his “nice set of buns”? You know that his dad is most certainly not a baker.
When he realizes that you’re talking about his booty he flushes a little and laughs, asking you how you even came up with that. You quickly tell him another pick-up line, following it with a playful wink as you circle around him.
He’d be there to listen to as many dumb pick up lines as you can think of because he’s having fun when you’re having fun tbh; when he tries to come up with his own, they’re just a little awkward and sound more like just plain compliments because he isn’t quite as witty as you (he seems honest to a fault, and in turn not sly and conniving enough to be funny on command like this lol)
He ends up more fascinated than he really should be about the pathos and ethos of the cheesy lines, and you're going to have only yourself to blame when he masters them and uses them on you another day.

He can’t even pretend to hate them because he’s a cheesy mf ngl he’d probably start laughing his ass off!! He doubles over just a little and suddenly he wants to pick your brain even more than usual. What’s gotten you into this odd mood? Were you bored? Were you trying this for his attention? In such an awful way? His cool facade is cracked only by the completely absurd, and you were bringing that to the table.
He doesn’t quite fire back with his own cheesy pick-up lines, but he’s just a little too receptive to them. “My shirt? Significant other material-” is met with a satisfied hum and a light flip of the hair as he leans over you and a gloved hand slides up to tug at your top. “I agree,” he muses, catlike eyes hooded and unblinking as they scan over your upper half.
Suddenly, you wonder if he’s misreading the room, or if you’re misreading the room… or if he’s just trying to outweird you. The moment his hands cup your waist, you gasp and your face flushes. He notices your pupils dilating and heart rate picking up.
Then the bastard lets go of you and laughs to himself even HARDER?!?!! He found your cheesy pick-up lines absolutely hilarious, but to him there is nothing more amusing (and heartwarming) than messing with you.
He swears he's laughing with you and not at you, but you know that you're his favourite butt of any joke between the two of you... and also his favourite butt (Mukuro grabby hands) <3

Concerning DTDAY quality
Heya! Fun to see FR drama blogs still exist lol, didn’t know there was another one outside of DRR. Took a curious glance through the posts and was a little bummed to see some of the conversation around DTDAY or folks being scared to participate.
I do art for a living and don’t put a lot of effort into DTDAY, I’ll usually wrap up my drawing in 40 minutes to an hour. But because of doing this a thousand times/having a lot of experience under my belt the result will look good to most people that will receive the art. I can get proportions right pretty fast, I understand volume and colour so it’ll look “right” etc without pouring a lot of time into it. I’ve been doing dragon coms since age 14, I could draw these suckers in my sleep if I needed to. I think that’s probably the case for most folks doing “good” art on these sorta threads.
But if you’re inexperienced or just starting out with drawing I need you guys to understand we know that even an undersketch can take HOURS to look even remotely okay. Drawing decent elipses, or figuring out how snouts might overlap with the rest of the skull can be really tricky if you’re starting out, unless you’ve comfort-zoned into a very simplified style really soon into your art journey. Sometimes you genuinely can’t tell how much effort/time someone put into something. Any other professional could tell you we’ve been stuck on the dumbest thing, sometimes everything just looks off.
I think it’s best to treat DTDAY threads as a gamble. Even simple sketches usually take someone at least 40 minutes of their day. That’s a lot of time. I’ve received some cool art on DTDAY! And some where you can tell the artist is just starting out, and honestly, I think it’s lovely, I get a small piece of this person’s art journey. DTDAY _should_ be a space of low expectations. A place where people can experiment and learn with a fun drawing subject no matter their skill level. And I do think most other people understand that! We’ve all been there. If someome wanted art that matched the quality and effort their work reflects there’s plenty of amazing artists willing to do art trades.
I apologise for the essay, just want to make sure beginner artists know that the rest of us have been there. Whether you’re 34 of 14 we know how hard this stuff is. You gotta get the bad drawings out before you start making good ones and the fundamentals start clicking. Don’t let that keep you from enjoying the process and participating. I hope everyone joins in in DTDAY without fearing you’ll dissapoint or you’re not good enough. One of the best ways to improve is having a fandom thing you’re into and that mileage (and extra incentive to deliver!) can be a great part of your artistic development!

and then omg the fic after that one??? i was SO surprised that wen forgave vin? and that they’re trying long distance??? i’m so fucking excited and happy abt that but god i’m sure it’ll be hard 😭 but YAY I KNEW THEY LOVED EACH OTHER TOO MUCH TO GIVE UP LIKE THAT ♥️
side note, luke being so depressed and struggling so much to adapt to his meds is so sad but so realistic too :,) i’m glad you’re making this a part of the plot!! but my man is def off his meds already lol im interested to see where this goes!! and also i LOVE how well jon and leo are doing <3 despite everything going on, they’re in their happy era fr <3
and now i’m sorry but the sick vin fic?????????? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IT WAS EVERYTHING I NEEDED AND MORE‼️ first off, leo talking to him and being so real but also like calling him out like that??? while still being super supportive??? and the way he described wen was so accurate and so him-coded??? and then AHHHHH i’ve ALWAYS loved vin and bell’s friendship, i’ve genuinely always thought it was super adorable and i wanted more of them, so this fic was gold 🤭 a trope that ALWAYS gets me is when someone is ANGRY at someone they love and ofc being bitchy and sassy until they realise said someone is very much Unwell (it’s especially good if they’re so sick that they’re really out of it), and when they realise how sick they are they IMMEDIATELY switch from mad to concerned + caretaker mode!!!! so yeah you can imagine this whole fic had me on my knees 🤭 obsessed w how protective of luke bell is, and how protective of vin wen is, but also how both girls just jumped straight into action when he was clearly not feeling good <333 and then vin realising wen was using her dr. voice, and then the pure ANGST at the end when he sobs and they just hug and the “god i’m gonna fucking miss you” SOB SOB SOB SOB 😭😭😭🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
bell sick and luke taking care of her was also AMAZINGGGG🫶🏽 i always love when my girls get whumped <3333 omg and AHHHH luke and vin finally talking abt shtuff🥹 the “nothing to forgive” 😭 luke knowing he’ll get sick AND holding him closer??? GOSH THE BROTP MAN !!!!!
and oh my goodness i just read the most recent fic with the new OC!!!! this is so exciting and cool and i love his vibes ahhhh <3 i love how nonchalant max seems abt shtuff and im so so excited to see where things go!! i hope vin and him become friends but also i feel like there’s gonna be some tension and weird banter going on between them at least at first hehehe

okay, its high time i am now sat to say this!
it has been such a ride with stg, i have thoroughly enjoyed each update so much so that as soon as i'd wake up, i'd pick up my phone and check if you have updated! gawd i have loved it so so much!! sometimes sitting in the class before the lecture would begin i'd sit and write you an ask about it :(

this is such a cute message 😭😭 it’s honestly crazy fr how you’ve basically stuck around since the beginning and been present for every chapter, and i remember getting that first ask about you gushing over the name slendy and i was kicking my feet because it made my day hearing that lollll and i can’t believe you’d be sending them before your lectures that’s actually cute :D
we went from talking about slendy to sharing our personal life’s in these asks (which the community was interested in too) and the way you’ve made yourself a name on the lqfiles blog is kinda iconic like i’m sure most readers associate stg with slendy anon or any of the other active anons. i still find it funny that stg has for you and apparently some others made jisung a top bias like hearing that makes me feel somewhat impactful when i doubt i am 😭
