Immunity
In which Fyodor is forced to stay with the ADA and later finds out Dazai isn’t the only one that he can touch
Aka I had another idea dream but don’t want to write a story so you are getting Headcannons and notes for it while you wait for me to finish my other things lol. OC- we’ll call her Kana (older OC I never used) has an interesting ability. And don’t worry you can also ask about her
Tumblr media
Fyodor being told he had to stay with the ADA is definitely not his ideal prison sentence but he would prefer it to a glass box and flavourless food
At first he’s just put with Dazai, sitting far away from everyone but close enough Dazai could tap him if he attempted to use his ability
At some point a new worker arrives (turns out they’d just been on holiday and missed the whole Rats thing) and Fyodor thinks they’ll be the the most boring play thing yet
Kana, as she introduced herself , was pretty enough in Fyodor’s books, short, not quite petite, definitely had a figure but you could tell she lived comfortably with her body. Though he couldn’t tell if she had built up muscle from his seat- she did look soft
Fyodor was bored. When Dazai went to work he was in the cell in the far back just so he wouldn’t touch anyone, it had lasted about two weeks before a new arrangement would happen
Apparently Kana had convinced Fukuzawa that she was more than capable of taking care of him when Dazai wasn’t around
He doubted it… but he wouldn’t try to kill her yet (maybe)
Next thing Fyodor knew he was in a decent sized apartment that was well kept and well spaced. It wouldn’t be hard to find his way around at least Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, large kitchen and living areas… it was nice
Kana was also nice enough to buy him a few clothes instead of having to break into Dazai’s dorm just to find him his pyjamas She did say they were an ex’s but Fyodor wasn’t stupid he did see her rip off the tags
She liked classical music too that’s a bonus- she would hum Chopin’s nocturne sometimes while she cooked
Fyodor was beginning to think there was a catch or that this was a test
The next week had flown by and he was now back in his seat (book in hand) at the agency while Dazai and Kunikida went off at Kana for not just leaving Fyodor in the cell
Her bored look was a give away that she wasn’t listening anymore
Atsushi was at least sort of nice to him, afraid of him but he would offer to buy him food from downstairs if Dazai didn’t throw him an apple to munch on throughout the day
The other agency members were equally as wary and unwilling to even look at him so while he couldn’t escape the chatter they at least kept him out of it
That night he found himself back in Dazai’s dorm wishing he at least asked Kana for some leftovers from the dinner before…..
Another week and Dazai was off again which meant Fyodor was back in the cell- no he was back with Kana?
Even when she was busy he’d find himself behaving … maybe plotting and waiting to strike - though if she worked at the agency she’s at least be competent in fighting back right?
At one point he found himself answering her small talk. There had to be a catch
At another point he found himself wondering if she had an ability. She didn’t directly work as a detective but she handled a lot of paperwork and errands that he wanted to go on… to find a time to kill her and escape obviously
Next time Dazai would be back they (Kana and Fukuzawa) snuck him into the cell early on stating she wasn’t in the mood to be lectured by someone who barely has any morals again
It was the same pattern for weeks. Besides a few government check ups here and there Fyodor begrudgingly began to like the routine
Eventually Fukuzawa said that if Fyodor behaved himself he could move around the office at his will - some people probably complained but none to the president’s face as the man could now excuse himself to stretch his legs and walk around as long as he didn’t leave the office
And another eventually later Fukuzawa told Dazai to leave Fyodor in Kana’s care
Look no one knew why the president trusted the woman to much and there was a loud disdainful argument about to occur before the woman waved them off and pulled Fyodor by the coat out the door
A few days later and the Russian already liked this routine better. Kana didn’t force him to do anything she often asked him questions or would offer him things
He really thought there was a catch or a test happening but he wanted to behave a little longer - plus she was a really good cook
One day he found himself sitting at the table watching as she cooked dinner- some western food he guessed - she wasn’t wearing anything different from what he’d seen of her though he did admit the small scaring on her arms being visible did make him want to ask what she did - against his better judgement
The more he stared to more he found his ability scratching at his skin, he wanted to kill- at least that’s what he thought as he stood silently and moved around the kitchen island and placed a bare hand on her arm
Kana jumped and looked at him… but that was it. He blinked owlishly and looked at his hand clasped around her upper arm… soft but some muscle was hiding beneath it
“Uh… you were zoned out I asked if you wanted help?”
Kana wasn’t stupid but watching the big bad rat bastard stumble over his words was enough to make her giggle as she said he could help by cutting some extra vegetables
It didn’t take long after that for Fyodor to realise that she wasn’t affected by his ability in the slightest
Maybe she did have an ability… he’d have to ask
Back at work Fyodor found himself slowly moving his chair to be closer to Kana, especially since she didn’t make him feel like an animal in a zoo being watched by the rest of the agency. Plus her desk was in the corner
It took maybe three days before he was sat nearly beside her watching her work diligently
Dazai was the first to question it publicly
Kana just told him to do his paperwork because she was trying to work
Ranpo was next except he straight up asked her and Fukuzawa so she answered that his ability wouldn’t affect her
Back at the apartment he was shocked at how… normal it felt ever since he himself realised that his touch wasn’t deadly to her
He even found himself pulling a blanket over her when she would fall asleep while watching tv his fingers grazing her bare arms breath held as he realised that she was still breathing
Another week gone by and the Russian would hate to admit he actually likes the time he spends with the woman to the point that when she gets kidnapped he doesn’t know what to do
Her being kidnapped from the lobby of their- her- apartment makes him feel insane as he runs to the agency saying that he can’t find Kana
At first many of the members think that he’d killed her after all this time but he didn’t care for some reason he really didn’t care
Fyodor hated to admit he liked the woman more than for her food, she didn’t die when he touched her, gave him a free place to live and while she was firm with her own rules she wasn’t demanding of him
He would shake his head and pretend he didn’t think anything nice of her for now he already hated that she was missing probably because of him
When she turned back up at the Agency a day later, cut lip, and cuts on her legs and arms and definitely bruised eye everyone was surprised when the Crime and Punishment user pulled her in for a hug
The man was touch starved and it was now showing how he became used to the domestic life the woman had outside of the Armed Detective Agency
Dazai was quick to grab him but all had assumed it was too late
Except it wasn’t and she was still standing there very much alive but very much hurt and seemed to wave them all off as Yosano takes her into the medical room to take care of her injuries
After that she came back out and sat at her desk fully ready for more work when Fyodor had rushed back to her side and held onto her as she read a new piece of paperwork
No no one knew what was happening certainly not the man himself either
He told everyone that he would miss her cooking without skipping a beat
Even if it wasn’t the real answer
Fyodor Dostoevsky hadn’t realised the Agency would change him so much. He still very much wanted to find the Book and his morals while less grey now had colour he could say… it was probably a good change

Kuromyu 2021 asks
【Response to post: Kuromyu “Secret of the Boarding School Arc”】
Dear everyone,
As many of you have already seen, MKP announced a new Kuromyu after 3 years! “The Secret of the Boarding School Arc”. I have received some asks about this, so allow me to answer them here one by one ^^
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dear Anons,
Yes indeed! “Secret of the Boarding School Arc” is going to be a thing! Erm... well, as you must have seen, no Sebastyun anymore. The announcement is official.
I don’t know Tateishi beyond the most surface level, but from what I do know, he can sing. That’s at least one thing that is promising! But otherwise I have no estimate of him whatsoever. We shall see.
I hope this time the Kuromyu fandom won’t be as nasty about him as they were about Matsushita’s calling him “a helium balloon” or “he sounds like a girl.” And then about Furukawa’s nose at first... =v= I mean, everyone can complain about an actor, but if there’s nothing substantial you can complain about then.... ugh never mind.
Tumblr media
【Response to: Werewolf Arc as most likely candidate?】
Dear Anon,
Yes, I did, but I feel like it is useless to answer that specific part of your question now (≽ω≼;) So let’s skip to your following questions.
Well, I wouldn’t call this post a prediction, but indeed, my reasoning that the Werewolf arc would be the most likely next candidate for Kuromyu is obviously wrong, and dramatically so! Here we are, Kuro Potter arc, even though I really thought it would be the LEAST likely one.
But, just like I have explained in the post from October 2019 about a hypothetical Potter Kuromyu, I can’t say I’m really hopeful without lying. I am interested, but not hopeful. All my concerns I spoke of at the time are still my concerns right now.
I worried about Kuromyu becoming Tenimyu, and the musical is mostly likely going to be Tenimyu. Nothing wrong with Tenimyu as such, but Kuromyu is just never made to be like a Tenimyu.
I worried about KuroPotter’s story not suitable for stage adaptations and an expensive cast... and well, indeed, no expensive cast anymore. But then, how will Kuromyu2021 sell their appeal without much of Sebas and Undertaker????
I worried about a different Sebastian inevitably going to be compared to Furukawa, and judging from my Japanese twitter feed, that prediction is not going to be off.
Japanese twitter isn’t even being mean about Tateishi, most people just go: “eh? Suddenly switching out the current prince of the musical world and the Sebastian praised so highly by sensei?” “Those are crushing expectations!” “Will Tateishi be alright? Will he be able to perform outside Furukawa’s shadows?”
All are VERY legit things to say! The scariest thing for Tateishi is not just having to play Sebastian - the perfect demon butler. Nor is it having to compete against Furukawa’s Sebastian. No, he needs to compete against Furukawa’s reputation as “the prince of the Imperial Theatre” no media outlet can NOT emphasise, and the Sebastian declared above canon by Yana herself, and the man who made the highly critical Editor K go gaga for. - Talk about pressure!
But yessss, in short, I am interested and concerned.
Tumblr media
Dear Anon,
Grell is not even in the arc... so no, no announcement for any Grell, old or new.
As for Izumi Shuuhei, the thing about supervising the script of Kuromyu2021, that was Izumi’s retweet of Yana’s tweet, not his own. Yana is asked to return for the supervision of the script and the costumes.
There is no reason for any producer to ask an ex-actor to supervise a script for a musical he is not going to be part of.
Tumblr media
For anyone interested in what Yana wrote:
In fresh wear that is befitting of a new season called ‘spring’, it has been decided that there shall be a new musical ‘Kuroshitsuji’! This time too I was called to supervise the script and the costumes, and I shall humbly partake. Please look forward to future updates【Toboso】
Tumblr media
Dear Anon,
YES APPARENTLY THERE IS GOING TO BE, I AM ALSO SHOCKED!! Σ(ÔAÔ)!
About the new cast, I don’t know ANY of these new actors except 2 from the most surface level, namely Sebastian and Redmond... so I have no idea. Just from instinct though:
🏫Tateishi (Sebastian): You poor... poor man, your life is going to be so hard for at least a short while... Like I said above, Furukawa left impossibly large shoes to fill to begin with, but being made to compete against his reputation as literally the highest rank performers can achieve in Japan is just unfair.
Good luck to you, young man! You seem to be capable of singing, so I hope they at least capitalise on that!
🏫 Konishi (Ciel): ... I already thought 16 year old Sakamoto was too old for Ciel in 2009, and now there’s a 20 year old adult man playing a 13 year old baby-face O.o? I’ve looked up a bit of his acting, it seems decent!
After everyone being used to really young Ciel actors since 2010, and especially with the super small and adorable Reo though... I think this man too is going to have a really hard time getting accepted as Ciel. Though to a lesser extent than Furukawa’s crushing reputation, Reo’s reputation as Ciel really is very pressing too...
But yes, no judging before actually seeing! We shall see.
🏫 Ueda (Undertaker): Like I said in this post, Undertaker really has almost NOTHING to do in this arc, so I don’t have any opinion about Ueda. I have never heard of him before this announcement, but they could have cast an android for Undertaker and the damage would still have been minimal. (I stand by my old point; why bother adapting this arc at all??? Well, at least Ueda is unlikely to be overworked from studying his script.)
🏫 Sana (Redmond): I’ve only known him from Patalliro!, but I never watched it. But for Patalliro! Sana was cast because of his beauty and flair for Maraich. So I am sure Redmond will be just within Sana’s field too!
🏫 Tazuru (Greenhill): NO idea, never heard of him, but he LOOKS the part!
🏫 Satonaka (Bluer), Godou (Violet), Furuya (Clayton), Nakajima (Edward), Taguchi (Maurice): Idem.
🏫 Fukuzawa (Chesslock): Never heard of him either, but he REALLY REALLY REALLY looks the part (≽▽≼) His face just screams: “bruh, whaddya got, loser!?”
🏫 Uchino (Hearcourt): Never heard of him, he looks VERY cute... MKP, couldn’t you cast this youngest actor for Ciel or did he just lose the audition of Ciel? Oh well, he looks appropriately Hearcourt I guess! We shall see.
🏫 Hayakawa (McMillan): Never heard of him, but from the photos I could find he does not really look like what I’d expect of a 3D McMillan. But then again, neither do Furukawa and Uehara, and we all know how much I love them. Looks are just looks ^^ Acting is more important.
🏫 Yamaguchi (Derrick): Never heard of him, looks the part, I’m sure he’ll be fine.
🏫 Agares (Takahashi): Never heard of him, but from his photos he really does have that energy, so I’m sure he’ll be fine!
🏫 Okada (Soma): I..... am actually REALLY surprised, and even right now I’m not sure I found the right guy. Is this really the guy?? Not just a different guy with the same name? I mean, I am sure he is a great actor, but this man is 20 years older than the actual Soma.
They already got 15 young men, they really couldn’t find another one? Oh well, I’m sure he’s a great actor. And otherwise, the role is so incredibly small, any potential damage is limited.
Tumblr media
Dear Anon,
Yes, my day is lovely, but also flabbergasting because I spent most of it thinking about this announcement. But I hope your day was lovely too^^
Erm.....about a potential anime adaptation. As has been proven, I am not very good at predicting stuff! So perhaps I am not the right person to ask stuff.
Even though the Universe is probably going to prove me wrong again, I THINK the chances are a bit low for the Boarding School Arc being adapted?
Let us not talk about the Mansion Murder arc, and just look at Circus and Campania arc. Those two are unambiguously the two most popular arcs, but when they got adapted the budget was so horrifically low it was almost embarrassing to look at.
Tumblr media
As discussed in this post, Book of Circus was also aired at the weirdest possible times, and that was one of the two MOST popular arcs... as explained before in this other post, the Boarding School Arc is the least popular arc among the main/Japanese fandom... so I personally think the chances for this to get an anime adaption to be fairly low.
Just my thoughts since you asked. The Universe has proven me wrong more often, it might again.

ok my bsd predictions for major plot points in the future
1.
If dazai were to be killed off in bsd, chuuya would probably be killed with him in a final act of coded symbiosis.
Tbh tho that's such a major thing that it probably wouldn't happen until when the manga is finishing up so
2.
Chuuya will either become the PM Boss or he'll join the ADA.
So chuuya is strongly suggested in two ways for his future which is HM INTERESTING. So the way that Mori clearly recruits him not just for his ability but for his leadership skills, plus the how chuuya has been developing those skills, is something I was thinking about a lot in S3. Mori is very clearly not happy with Dazai being the heir, even though he was the best choice. Dazai would have probably killed Mori and taken his place by the time he was 20 if odasaku hadn't died. Chuuya has loyalty to the mafia plus the fighting and leadership abilities. He's also got a certain obedience and controllability that if Mori was to step aside and not die he would like. Also something ppl forget is that chuuya is actually good at negotiation and staying calm under pressure, it's suggested that dazai particularly triggers his anger because dazai is an annoying shit who seems to be in canon attached to him whenever they're in the same room.
HOWEVER. Now I don't think I've ever said this on this blog despite me constantly thinking about it but Fukuzawa's ability is the perfect thing for Chuuya, as it has the possibility of actually reigning in corruption. If chuuya joined the ADA he would actually be able to use corruption's ability of throwing black holes without losing control of himself. Arguably that would also get rid of the need for dazai's intervention although it's been established that skk were thought of as a perfect fighting duo for a year before corruption even first manifested in a fight, so I don't think this would kill skk. And chuuya joining the ADA would mean that he and dazai have to interact on the daily. It also means that the mafia is left without any clear heir. People have vouched for kouyou in this situation but I think it's clear that kouyou is being forced to be in the mafia, she's given up on leaving and doesn't want to be there actively.
I don't think the second outcome is very possible plotwise for a few reasons. These are all totally writer's arguments so appeals to logic and plot aren't exactly going to work here, but as a writer myself these are the planning issues that stick out extremely badly if we get chuuya to defect:
- it would have to take something extremely major to get chuuya to leave the loyalty of the mafia
- chuuya becomes even more OP. asagiri kafka has said that though he really likes chuuya (as evidenced by the amount of goddamn times chuuya comes up in the novels), he avoids putting him in the manga because chuuya is extremely overpowered. If he and dazai were logically paired together for each issue every arc would be solved far too quickly for things like character development, or like...story...to take place. This is why chuuya is constantly sidelined. You have to actively make it so that chuuya isn't on people's minds constantly, or get him out of the picture immediately, so that your narrative can actually develop. Chuuya is honestly a mistake in a writing sense. But he's a strong character and he and dazai were written in tandem to each other so he's absolutely unremovable. A character like chuuya NEEDS to exist. So the way chuuya has been toned down is Corruption. Chuuya's ability by itself is just...incredibly powerful. He's virtually indestructible. However Corruption, the ultimate form, is shown to actively kill chuuya. The only times we've seen corruption used is cthulu, shibusawa, and shibusawa big dragon, all extreme threats. So chuuya's life when he's pulled out as the deus ex machina is tied to dazai. This makes chuuya's unchecked OP a little less unchecked and a little less OP. Chuuya is actually a fantastic example of why you CAN have OP characters, you just have to write them a certain way.
However in writing them a certain way, the most stupid thing you could do for your narratives would be to bring corruption under control, and to bring chuuya into the group of protagonists. you have to find excuses in every problem to why chuuya can't just come out and handle this himself, like you were before but now dazai's absence isn't an issue PLUS your readers are paying more attention to chuuya because he's around all the time.
So yeah, chuuya being in the ADA would be a bad choice narrative wise unless it was for like...one arc or smth. Chuuya becoming the next boss of the port mafia is wayyyyy more likely to me. I don't think chuuya would like it but he's really the most obvious choice
3.
Dostoyevsky/rat arc is going to be mega arc/s.
one of the exciting things abt this series is that I have no idea how long this conflict with the rats will go on for. At first I thought it would be an occasional and ongoing plotline that is explored not as one big set arc but interspersed with other non-rat arcs. However by the way it's going it looks like we have two options, either 1) the rat issue is being dealt with across one mega-arc or 2) rat issues will still be dealt with like I thought, interspersed, but each time they pop up it will be a mega-arc like it has been so far. I genuinely don't know how this will be resolved, and I'm actually kind of wondering if the characters will finally leave kanagawa prefecture and maybe head to Russia to defeat the rats. I think this could be a good start to travelling the characters to settings outside yokohama.
4.
Agatha Christie is going to be matched up to Ranpo.
Like Dostoyevsky is dazai's foil because their works IRL were similar in tone, Agatha Christie and Ranpo match up in that way perfectly. We've already met the trick foil (we thought he would be, but he wasn't) for Ranpo in Poe (IRL Poe actually did write mystery at times, and his works do contain elements of suspense and unknown). Ranpo is clearly going through hell in this arc which makes me feel like he's going to start being a much more major character in the future.
Agatha Christie and Edogawa Ranpo's works both fit in the mystery genre and were both alive irl around the same time. They both played historic roles in developing the mystery genre of their language's literature and are pretty well-known in non-literature circles because mystery often has a pulp, mass-consumable aspect to it. It was actually surprising to me that they were made into characters considering the other characters are named after authors of much "higher grade" Literature, as in Literature capital L. Mystery authors especially like Agatha Christie don't fit that bill, but they've played a central role in developing the fiction industry so I don't find it odd. Plus there's a bit of a debate what counts as Literature and every person has different opinions. Mine differs to asagiri kafka's which evidently seems to be that if the author has had a significant impact on the literary field then their works become Literature, thus they become 文豪 (Literary masters), thus they become a bsd character. I think that's fair, even if it isn't what I would personally say Literature is. This is par for the course tho lol, p sure any person who is into Literature will have a different thing to say about what gets that capital L.
But yeah, I think Ranpo and Christie are clearly going to be each others foils.
5.
Christie is going to be cold. Like. COLD.
Dostoyevsky is more obvious evil, it shows on the surface. But Christie will have a polite veneer, a charm to her. We've seen her in a shot, and she sits tall, she enjoys tea, she dresses expensively and lives in colourful rooms. But she had no hesitation to destroy Yokohama if a situation wasn't dealt with within half an hour in the cruelest way possible. Christie was actively ready to incinerate Yokohama alive, that was her first instinct when contacted for help. Christie very clearly has a lack of care for the lives of others, OR she wants to destroy Yokohama in particular. However considering this is the goal of Dostoyevsky and Christie will probably be the next major villain after Dostoyevsky, repeating that goal and motivation is pretty boring and not very bungou stray dogs.
6.
The order of the clock tower will not come to yokohama first.
The Guild were the ones to come to yokohama and threaten it up close. The order of the clock tower was a major threat to yokohama from across the continent. That's terrifying. The ADA/Mafia will have to work proactively
7.
The end of the clock tower will have major repercussions.
The order of the clock tower seems to have its claws in everything and has a tight maintenance of leadership and control over almost every gifted organisation we've met. The Order seems to literally keep order. But they've clearly got a goal with sending the guild and the rats after the book. If the order is destroyed then certain aspects of gifted society slip loose and create new problems. This will probably be the creator of an arc or two after the order arc is over.
8.
Chuuya's backstory is linked to Dazai's.
Chuuya was used by the military and experimented on until he could contain a god of destruction, after which he went haywire, blasted a huge crater in yokohama, and became a feral child.
Dazai was...we don't know. The furthest back we can tell is that some time in his early teens he was taken in by Mori. Before that he was apparently wandering around trying to find some kind of emotion, something to make him feel. He eventually found that with the violence and adrenaline rush of the mafia.
Now I don't think that dazai is a psychopath. It's easy to say he is with the way he seems to talk about the hole in his heart and the absence and emptiness. However dazai very very clearly cares. He cares about odasaku, he cares about atsushi, he cares about the ADA, and he even cares about chuuya (this is not my shipper brain talking, I am literally talking about canon). Dazai very clearly CARES. He isn't a psychopath.
My belief is that dazai is the most clear argument for my case that the series is about mental illness and self worth. Dazai very clearly has a major depressive disorder.
I also think that dazai is extremely traumatised. Obviously he's traumatised by being in the mafia at 15 and by odasaku's death, but I also think dazai may have been traumatised even before then.
Atsushi is dazai's mentee, the half of shin soukoku. He's shown to have childhood trauma. Akutagawa also has childhood trauma. Chuuya has childhood trauma. This may be a coincidence but almost every main character in this series has some form of early trauma.
Dazai IRL was not called Dazai Osamu. Dazai Osamu is actually a very sad name but Dazai's birth name is Tsushima Shuuji. IRL dazai/Tsushima was the son of a rich family that lived in Aomori prefecture (which is very rural lol). Dazai had an absent father and a sick mother and wasnt raised by his parents but rather by servants and his aunt. His father died when he was young (not that he got very old) and his life was plagued by constantly running off with girls, getting his allowance cut for being a marxist, and, yes, suicide attempts.
So my ideas for how this may translate into bsd dazai is this:
- dazai ran away from home when he was young
- dazai never had a good parental figure
- dazai is from a rich family in a rural area very far away. Like for those who don't know Aomori is at the northern tip of Honshū, just below Hokkaido. Yokohama is just south of Tokyo. The region in between is mostly forest and smaller cities. Most of Japan's (major) cities are cloistered around Tokyo and Kyoto and Fukuoka which are towards the south. So dazai is a country boy who has wandered japan after running away from home.
- dazai's real name is Tsushima Shuuji and there's a personal reason he's distanced himself from that. This one im not sure about but yeah
- thus follows that why would dazai be so fucked up if he isn't a psychopath and he did come from a rich family? Dazai to me reads that something major happened. In shin skk it's clear that atsushi and alutagawa share a past of abuse at the hands of parental figures and loneliness. With all the similarities and parallels drawn between the characters in skk and shin skk it seems logical to me that chuuya's past of torture may be similar to Dazai's in a way. It would be disappointing to me if dazai's past was covered and it didn't in some way affect him. The clearest parallel between skk is that they both lacked parental figures most if not their entire lives.
There's also this comment that dazai makes when the head of atsushi's orphanage dies. It's that relationships with fathers are messy and even if they were terrible it's natural to cry. This seems like bsd dazai may share irl dazai's father's death early in his life. It's hinted therefore that dazai's father was either abusive or neglectful and died when dazai was younger.
Anyway this went longer than I thought it would but I invest far too much brain time into bsd so it's gotta seep out at some point lol

Soukoku and ‘your injuries/scars show up on your soulmate too’ pls :o
A FYI: This AU accidentally turned into a A.D.A.!Chuuya & P.M.!Dazai... oof. Enjoy~
Plot:
So in this AU, Chuuya never joined the Sheep. After the explosion happened, he was found by officials and was put into an orphanage.
Which was, coincidentally, the same one Atsushi was in.
When he was younger, Chuuya had a bunch of cuts on his arms and stuff, but those are cause of his soulmate. So he thinks his soulmate is abused or suicidal.
Of course, he didn’t really care about the whole soulmate shebang, so he ignored it.
He and Atsushi become friends. Kunikida recruits Chuuya from the orphanage after he helps out with a ability user attack on a curry restaurant. [*coughtheguildcough*]. Oh nooooo-
So Chuuya gets recruited. Kunikida saw that Chuuya was a good enough person to recruit, no test. Also, cause I’m not good at this stuff, but let’s just ignore that-
Anyways, the guild happens, and Chuuya and Kunikida (who are partners, by the way) are sent to negotiate with the Port Mafia’s famous devil: Dazai Osamu.
They’re all the same age, let’s say around 20, so Atsushi is 16 while Akutagawa is 18 & super emo.
Anyways, the meeting goes about as well as it can. Which is not at all.
“Hey, do either of you fine gentlemen want to commit suicide with me?”
“...what the actual fuc-”
The end up almost destroying the P.M. warehouse that they meet in, and Kunikida’s forehead hurts so much from facepalming.
So yeah. No negotiation.
Until the P.M. let the beans spill: they gave the Guild info on their staff’s whereabouts.
So Chuuya flies to intercept them. And fights Lovecraft and John.
He manages to get John trapped on the floor, but Lovecraft is a harder opponent.
And Chuuya activates Corruption. Which means he’s all red n stuff.
And THEN
DAZAI ARRIVES
W H O A
But Dazai is covered with red stuff too and oh no they’re soulmates
So they take down Lovecraft.
And Chuuya gets stopped by Dazai’s ability.
And Dazai is there like “Okay, I met my soulmate and it’s a cute redhead who hates me.”
And Mori, who saw all of this on camera or something, knows that those two together would be the best and worst thing to have happened since he and Fukuzawa.
So he calls up his ex (ex-colleague, that is) to get a partner ship between the two.
And Fukuzawa, knowing that they can’t beat the Guild without them, agrees.
Oh dear.
Chuuya doesn’t know Dazai is his soulmate, and Dazai wants to see how long it’ll take before he realizes.
Of course, first, they’ll have to survive training.
The duo hate each other, but even they have to admit that they work AMAZINGLY together.
So yeah. There’s also a side plot where Akutagawa and Atsushi meet, but we don’t speak of that.
Chuuya and Dazai start getting closer.
And eventually, Chuuya wants to know what’s under Dazai’s bandages.
And Dazai, being Dazai, tells him that it’s from his suicide attempts and stuff.
And Chuuya is kinda confused. Cause if Dazai really wanted to, he probably could kill himself.
“Why did you stop?”
And Dazai, being the suicidal boi he is, says.
“Because I found my reason to live.”
And Chuuya r e a l i z e s
In theory, there should be some cheesy epilogue scene where they both live happily ever after with a hint of shin soukoku, but... my brain is dead. Bye~

~í cαn‘t lívє α nσrmαl lífє; í wαѕ rαíѕєd вч thє ѕtrєtѕ~ [Beast! AU]——An alternate AU where Atsushi is the White Reaper, a pet of the Port Mafia, along with other changes. This verse will be extremely selective as I don’t know much about the Beast novel, so you guys will have to help me lol
~í‘m juѕt líkє чσu! чσu‘rє juѕt líkє mє!~ [Twin! AU]— Atsushi and Atsuki (my boi) Nakajima were both twin orphans in the orphanage before they were kicked out. They share a name for their ability, and as identical twins, have identical abilities. They both joined the ADA together and are the closest of siblings. When they were in pain back in the orphanage, the other was always right there. So now, they must learn to navigate this new world together. When it comes to a twin verse, my “twin” will have the same backstory as yours unless stated otherwise. This is to prevent confusion with differing headcanons and backgrounds.
~єvєn íf í dσn‘t pull thrσugh αm í α hєrσ tσ чσu?~ [Hero! Verse]
— Here, Atsushi is a 3rd year student in the hero department, in the class 3-A taught by Osamu Dazai. Atsushi is an orphan and had lived in an orphanage all his life until he was kicked out at the age of 14 instead of 18. He fled from Yokohama after learning of his quirk, which he previously had no knowledge about, to train to get his powerful quirk under control and become a hero so he can save people, which is his true passion. !)
~íf í tσld чσu whαt í wαѕ wσuld чσu turn чσur вαck σn mє?~ [Monster! Verse]—In this AU, Atsushi is a weretiger (surprise surprise XDD) who protects the woods Lia is from. He is human by day and only turns into a weretiger in the full moon, but if there is some moonlight he becomes more like a tiger. Find more info here.
~ín thє dєαd σf níght чσu wєnt dαrk σn mє~ [Aftermath Verse]—A spoiler heavy AU that follows the idea that Dazai will have to go back to the port mafia. Find more info here.
~tσ α ѕєnѕєlєѕѕ вєαtíng; crípplєd αnd вαrєlч вrєαthíng; í tσrє σff mч ѕkín; í‘ll hαng frσm thíѕ nσσѕє~ [Reverse! AU]—A very dark and twisted AU that’s the complete opposite of normal. In this AU, Atsushi is an executive in the Port Mafia, known as the Black Tiger. He’s insane and twisted and very obsessive, and he is Dazai’s personal abuser.
~ѕσund σf mч hєαrt; thє вєαt gσєѕ σn αnd σn~ [Band Verse]—Atsushi is a drummer and a pretty good singer, but he’s very shy and struggles to meet new people. He wants to join a band, but how...??
~í’m α crєαturє whσ‘ѕ up tσ nσ gσσd; í‘ll lσvє чσu líkє α vαmpírє wσuld~ [Vampire Verse]—This verse is very simple and the same for all of the muses that have it: the character is a vampire. This verse is very flexible, so if you have ideas please let me know so we can incorporate it into the thread!! But it’s nothing major, I just love vampires lol
~tαkє mє tσ wσndєrlαnd~ [Wonderland Verse]—A verse that takes place in the AU of Alice in Wonderland. Here, Atsushi takes the place of the White Rabbit.
~hσld чσur вrєαth αnd cσunt thє dαчѕ; wє‘rє grαduαtíng ѕσσn~ [High School Verse]—A verse where Atsushi’s just a normal teen. He is a foster child who has been jumping from family to family. He’s very similar to how he usually is and would rather DIE than go to detention.
