Happy 20th Anniversary, @kingdomhearts! 🥳 . 💜 I was only 10 years old when KH1 first came out. However, I started to play Kingdom Hearts in late high school or early post-secondary. My first KH game was KH 358/2 Days, which is still my most favorite KH game to this day! . 💜 During high school, my cousin mentioned that he was playing KH with one of my classmates, saying something about it having Disney and Final Fantasy characters. I then started to look into KH. . 💜 One of my first fan art was a pencil/pencil crayon drawing of KH1 Sora, which I had showcased during one of the M.A.D. (Music. Art. Drama.) events during high school. . 💜 While looking on YouTube for KH cosplay skits to watch, I came across various KH cosplay groups, including Parle Productions and Fighting Dreamers Productions (@twinfools / @novavandorwolf’s group). Those cosplay groups became part of my inspiration to start to cosplay and to cosplay as a KH character. . 💜 My first KH cosplay was Riku. I started as Fedora Riku (a casual/closet cosplay) in 2013. Picture shown was with the fedora off. Over the years, I have cosplayed more ‘casual’ outfits as Riku. . 💜 My first official KH cosplay was Organization XIII Riku, which I first wore at @animethon 20 in 2013. (📷 Patrick Caplette) . 💜 My last worn official KH cosplay was KH3 Riku, which is one of the few cosplays that I had modified existing clothing to make. . 💜 My last worn ‘casual’ KH cosplay was Elf Riku in January 2020. (📷 @yiulxng) . 💜 Over the years, I also have cosplayed as Axel/Lea, Sora, Zexion, and briefly Xion (she was more of a cosplay test, but I would love to actually cosplay her one day!). . 💜 Lastly, I have made some pretty close friends through meeting fellow KH fans and cosplayers.
