Oh, I definitely need to get back to writing for Guns N’ Roses. I need to. 😮‍💨
I have sooo many ideas for it that I already wrote out and I just have to tie them altogether. Definitely the most exciting fic I’ve written so far.

January 31, 1988 ♪ The Limelight
“I hate to say it, but that was more of a money thing—we had this gig at the Limelight for $7,500 for 45 minutes. So we said okay, but my heart wasn’t into it. I didn’t want to do it because... my major problem with acoustic stuff is that we’ve never sat down and arranged any acoustic material. Those songs weren’t written as Guns N’ Roses rock & roll. No one’s really got their own parts; Axl sings, the rest of us just wing it. I got really drunk before we went on stage, which is something I never do.”—Slash (Circus Magazine, 1988)
“The worst [gig we ever played]... I can easily tell you the worst gig I personally ever played. There is no such thing as a worst gig for the whole band, because—like bad gigs and good. We’ve had bad gigs all the time, to the point, like, we have—when we’re bad, we’re bad, when we’re good, we’re good, you know? It’s like, when the inspiration is there and everything, it’s happening. You can’t always go out and be great. But the worst gig I’ve ever done was, we played a gig at the Limelight, not too long ago, and if you’ve ever heard about that one, where I was just completely wasted out of my mind and fell into the crowd three times, and all that stuff. That was sort of a drag. It was fun, though, at the time. […] I fell into the crowd with my guitar, like, three times. Something like that. That’s happened to me just a few times, though. I’m never—I make a point never to get so bombed before we play that I can’t keep it together.”—Slash (GN’R Interview Disc, 1988)
“[...] we played the Limelight, acoustically, or semi-acoustically, everyone was so fucking drunk. Slash fell off the stage like three times, Steven fell off his drum set, Izzy, just, like fell over, and the only people left on the stage was Axl and myself.”—Duff (Makin’ F@*!ing Videos Part II, 1993)

Im gonna ramble here:
Im so pissed at how people treat Axl Rose. Like I get it, he’s not the nicest guy, but he has also gone through some things that some people can’t even imagine going through.
Also, it’s ridiculous the hate he gets for his voice nowadays. He’s getting older and the ability to sing like you do when you’re young sort of disappears. At least he’s out there doing shows for us, allowing the younger generation to experience seeing Gn’R live.
I just want people to think before saying rude things about people, ‘cause honestly it just makes them assholes. Axl’s trying his best and I think people should appreciate him for that.
thank you for taking the time to read ❤️🫶

Have you read any of the gnr members books?
Yes I have. I’ve read Slash’s book, Steven’s book, and both of Duff’s books. I haven’t read Matt Sorum’s book yet, but it’s on my Kindle to-read list.
I’ve also read two or three other books written by other authors about GN'R in general.
Slash’s book was my favorite. Very well written, informative, and pretty juicy. Duff’s first book (It’s So Easy and Other Lies) was even better written (that college education must’ve been good for SOMEthing), informative, and not AS juicy, lol. True gentlemen tell no tales, right? He’s a gentleman, for sure. That one was the definitive Duff bio, so to speak. His second book (How To Be A Man and Other Illusions) was more of a life lessons, life advice, full of candor read. Both great books, though. Stevie’s book was kindof a trainwreck, but extremely raunchy and juicy—I loved it, lol. Here’s an excerpt that always stands out in my mind when I think of Steven’s book:
Tumblr media
👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼You’re welcome, by the way. 😂😁
So yeah. I highly recommend reading all of these books. Along with the other GNR bios as well. I can’t remember the names of those, but I know one was written by Mick Wall and the other by Steven Davis. Mick Wall also has another book written about Axl that I’d like to read eventually as does Steven’s mother Deanna. As much as I (feel like I) know about GN’R, I’m always down to read any book I can find written by or about them, however redundant they may be. When you love a band more than life itself, it just be like that, lol. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Side note: AXL, IZZY—we waitin' on y’all, babes. HURRY UP AND GET ON THAT BOOK WRITIN' GRAVY TRAIN, PLEASE SIRS. 😋

Chapter 2 of Guns N’ Roses is here 🥀
Duncan and Alejandro are finally switching places to keep this God awful alliance mutual. But how different could their households really be?
Three months will wrap up quickly. 👀

If GN’R had social media back in the day
Axl:
100% would be the type to deactivate his account every other week
Or just continue getting banned
He probably wouldn’t even be doing anything either
For instance, I think he’d go on tiktok and post a few singing videos or piano covers, and that’s enough to piss people off
Would deffff post those crying pictures on Snapchat
or ones of him being high
He is the type to never follow anyone on any accounts
If he did ever post on IG, it would be solely to promote GN’R
His Twitter rants wouldn’t even be in threads, just an endless influx of tweets
Would indulge those who leave hate comments with roasts and even more drama
Posts ambiguous lyrics and makes everyone worry over his wellbeing
only to follow them up with a shitpost of some sort
Izzy:
All of his accounts (if he was ever bored enough to create any) would be private
Probably logs out often, believing social media rots brains and whatnot
Would post once every few months
It would most likely be an acoustic cover
Never interacts with anyone else’s posts
Wouldn’t even explore them
Probably is a god at trolling
Has no concept of slang
Commenter: “step on me”
Izzy: “why would i do that?”
Genuinely there is nothing to say here, he wouldn’t even indulge this stuff
Steven:
He would be the most active on social media
Posts with his puppies 🥺
I strongly believe Stevie would love to do mini vlogs during tours
He would engage in tiktok trends and try to get the other guys to be involved, too
Drum covers >>>
He would respond to comments and like all of the posts he’s tagged in
He, too, would post those crying selfies
Honestly feel like he’d follow everyone back until it becomes way too much
Loves when people slide into his dms, we all know how much of a flirt he was
Such a hoe, he’d be all up in other women’s comment sections
But he’d also comment on all of his friends’ posts, being the supportive, enthusiastic person he is
Slash:
I don’t think anything Slash could’ve posted back in the day would deviate from what he posts presently
Like nsfw galore, and lots of obscure shit
He would probably get banned very often, too
80s Slash would ironically make thirst traps and would be snickering the entire time
Just imagine him and Duff attempting to do one of those silly dances-
Clips of bmx fails that go viral
Smoking selfies, or selfies with his snake wrapped around his arm (like imagine 😩)
Honestly, he would fall for those sex bots, interacting with them in his dms as if they’re real before he realizes
probably because one of the other gunners bring it to his attention ^
Duff:
He would be the type to stitch tiktok videos with nothing more than clips of himself laughing and absolutely losing his shit over whatever comedic act occurred
Probably shitposts as well
Would rant in his story posts
Avid commenter of this emoji —> 😉
it’s just so Duff
Would intensely promote GN’R as well with captions like “come to the show f*ckers”
Would either write the dumbest captions, or extremely elaborate, philosophical ones
His Snapchat story would be filled with videos of him and the others at a bar or club
pictures of his pet pig
Mirror selfies where he doesn’t even fit in the frame
I feel like he’s the type to post himself in those ugly sandals and get a lot of comments telling him to “put those dogs away”
so he’d continue to do it on purpose
a/n: not me talking about them shitposting within a shitpost.
