Lmao my mom had a meeting with my director, as a manager herself.. & they spoke 'bout some work shit & then my mom told me she told my director that she's really glad I'm working with her. That she really likes how my director works.

My director replied: Oh yea, I tell her, just stick with me. & I know I broke her heart when I had to tell her about the other job role, I broke my own heart telling her. I really didn't want to have to tell her that, but I just didn't want her to get overwhelmed and end up quitting. We really don't want to lose her.

My mom said: Yea, when she came home that day, she cried. I talked to her and I told her opportunities will come when it's the right time.. etc etc.

But lmao. My mom told her I cried (which I don't mind cause I think I'm hard to read sometimes & it's good now she knows I care about shit & it's real for me) & she said she broke her own heart having to have us make that decision to not go through with the new added role cause the timing wasn't right.

thinking about your glasses breaking, trying to guide yourself through the darkness of the 'Plex with just your phone screen and a flashlight. Squinting down at the screen hurriedly searching through the bleak, illuminated screen.

The chiming bells aren't getting any further away, looming tauntingly closer and if you don't find the other half of your glasses soon, you're screwed.
