I'm working the front desk today and I'm eating my lunch, and a customer just left and waved goodbye so of course I raised my pasta tupperware in the air like I was giving them a toast. instead of waving

dongjae should have made it to the semi-finals - AT LEAST. he was so smart and made the show interesting. i'm so upset he left, and ik some might argue he wasn't good at the social/political aspect of the game, but SERIOUSLY, he was one of the FEW that made this worth watching. now all of the boring people are left. ep 9 though was an interesting watch. so we'll see how it goes from here.

if we were to consider everyone in kotlc as a plot device for a moment, fitz is really just a representation of the status quo. from the beginning, that has been his main purpose and sophie’s goals often begin with convincing fitz and forcing him to change his perspective and only then is she able to do the same to the elven world at large. dex, of course, plays a role as the flaws of the ostracised. keefe is also coming from a world that should be just as perfect and shiny as the vackers but it isn’t because his parents wanted more power and influence than society had allowed for. they each support or oppose a particular pillar of elven society, from legacy to the power of their abilities to the balance in coexisting with other intelligent species. they not only develop sophie in her character, but are also manifestations of sophie’s influence on the world around her.

yusuke was literally erased from the sayuri, his mother's final gift to him and the only thing he has to remember her by, for profit and greed and fame and vanity and just because madarame could, it's no fucking wonder he's so afraid of creating art for material gain during his confidant

okay I have thoughts on the reposter fanart post lol I mean the original post is wild but it's more complicated than that too, and I just feel the need to yell bc there's some info missing, sorry, you can ignore me if you want
The twt algorithm is fucked to be sure, but #Portfolioday posts, like the one in the example that got less engagement, are usually made by artists looking for work, and people hiring artists can browse the hashtag and reach out if they're interested. It's a networking thing. It's always nice if it gets extra traction ofc! But there is a professional element to it that not everyone might feel comfy interacting with in the usual way. Like, would you leave an unhinged comment on someone's professional website? Probably not. Posting art with a fun engaging caption that doesn't sound strictly professional is bound to get better results.
I'm sure there is absolutely an element of intimidation, and I completely agree we shouldn't put anyone big in fandom on pedestals. I'm guilty of it as well, I just don't think that's the only thing going on here.

unpopular opinion but i'm so glad that ORBIT lost and that seokjin won. as he should. i literally hated everyone on this show who self-victimized themselves as the underdog and kept making siwon, seokjin, and dongjae the villain when it's not their fault they're good at the games?!? maybe do better idk?!? then when seungkwan finally realized that YES ORBIT AND DONGJOO DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE ELSE!!!! the alliance is a big fraud and everyone who is not dongjoo or orbit or that other youtuber guy who was super fucking annoying is a pawn!!! that betrayal with ORBIT giving out that other girl's number to everyone that made her get eliminated is PROOF OF THAT!!! LIKE?! ORBIT, sir at least the other alliance don't trick people into thinking they care about other contestants?! they try to save everyone and then make sacrifices of contestants they dont want to save that's not fair to them it's so weird how people can't see that they PLAY AND ACT fair but they are not. and they act so morally high and mighty when they cause everybody else to suffer EXCEPT themselves!! THEY ARE SELFISH! at least the other alliance doesn't put on a facade of selflessness! UGH! SO GLAD I GOT THIS SHOW OVER WITH! the games were so interesting but JESUS CHRIST i hated so many people on that show. also i feel like a lot of non-koreans are missing out cus the subtitles were not that great imo (but netflix always has shitty subtitles tbh 😬)
