putting my prediction on record now that the coming decade is going to see the rise of viral-marketed fancy at-home water filtration systems, driving and driven by a drastic reduction in the quality of U.S. tap water (given that we are in a 'replacement era' where our current infrastructure is reaching the end of its lifespan--but isn't being replaced). also guessing that by the 2030s access to drinkable tap water will be a mainstream class issue, with low-income & unstably housed people increasingly forced to rely on expensive bottled water when they can't afford the up-front cost of at-home filtration--and with this being portrayed in media as a "moral failing" and short-sighted "choice," rather than a basic failure of our political & economic systems. really hope i'm just being alarmist, but plenty of this already happens in other countries, and the U.S. is in a state of decline, so. here's praying this post ages into irrelevance. timestamped April 2023

i do love what honkai does with the alt character versions soooo much tbh because it requires actually developing a smaller cast of chars instead of constantly pumping out new filler ones that will become completly irrevelant to the story in a year or less

Out of curiosity, have you played DNF Duel yet? I kinda missed the boat on that game but it's still getting new characters. (Oh yeah and Crossplay Update for GGST is supposedly December 15th from what I've heard). Also, what other games do you play?

Oh I played DNF Duel.

I actually main Striker and Ghostblade. That game gives me the XRD vibes and nostalgia. Although, I haven't played it as much since I've been too fixated on Guilty Gear and other games lately.

I haven't played the story mode, but I should be when I find the time.

Other games I've been playing lately, if we're not entirely talking about fighting games, are:

Mortal Kombat 11 (still playing it here and there)

Horizon Forbidden West

Predator Hunting Grounds

Dead By Daylight

God of War Ragnorak

And lastly, this game has been occupying me for a long time while I'm waiting for more Guilty Gear updates, I've been playing Genshin Impact. Normally, I'm not a fan of Gacha games but Genshin Impact's characters and lore had grabbed my attention. However, I don't spend my money all willy-nilly for pulling characters, I just play for the sake of the story mode and to take in the astonishing setting.

Not sure if you are familair with the game itself, but I recommend looking into the story and the lore, it has some interesting concepts if you're interested. The coolest characters in the game in my opinion are the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, they look pretty badass and got cool designs.
