so I was a little disappointed to find that Mr. Davidson's newspaper is just a regular newspaper that they taped the word "Hatchetfield Gazette" and "A Meteor Hits!" on to

but I was thrilled to notice Mr. Chasity's newspaper was filled with lovely bits of lore. Including

"Nighthawks prepare to swoop"

"Mayor Lauter's re-election campaign off to a rocky start"

"New land development proposed at edge of Witchwood Forest"

"(Hatchetfield?) puts its foot on the gas!"

"Mamma Mia! disappoints at the Starlight Theater"

"High society hangout destroyed"

Except I literally cannot think of what this could be referencing. Maybe high is a play on words and they're talking about Emma's farm burning down? Only she gets arrested at the end of Perky's Buds, which doesn't line up with her working at Beanies later in the show. The only other thing I could think of is maybe The Birdhouse, which android Emma burns down, but that happens after Emma and Paul get married. So that's a bit of a mystery

okay okay okay now hear me out for the three sentence thing: itafushi, hatchetfield 👀

Itadori was normal, unlike every other person in his weird town. He was normal, and that was okay. He didn't want to be involved in a cult that practiced satanic rituals, he didn't want to be an avatar of the gods, he didn't want freaky-deaky powers. He just wanted to hang out with his friends.

Of course, his friends had to go missing when he least expected. Of course some (admittedly cute) freak claiming to know about the secrets of the universe knew where they were and how to save them. And of course Itadori had to do something stupid to save the cute, dorky freak who saved his friends. Of fucking course.

He wasn't mad. Living in Hatchetfield, something was bound to happen eventually. His grandpa always warned him that living like they did would only cause trouble, but it was still more worthwhile than living in, say, Clivesdale.

And, despite having some sort of connection to alternate universes now, at least he was able to keep his friends safe. At least he had a purpose now.

At least he had a cute, mildly scary (but mostly endearing) boy training him to use his connection.

He wouldn't choose any other freaky town in the world.
