Yeah, jellyfishes again

I wanted to use ink again and draw one of silly moments from my fanfic that I like. I have little story about Italy and Russia looking at jellyfishes just because why not, it makes me feel better…

Usually I can’t do this, but this time I recorded a bit (actually about an hour of drawing) so I want to leave it here. I know it’s still 5 minutes long…

it was clear that after a certain amount of years of veneziano and romano living together, that they would both decide it would be a good change of pace to have their own homes in their own respective sides of the nation.

for -- what would be going unsaid -- a well needed break from each other. they thought that living together would be a step in the right direction, especially after their unification, but there still laid a blanket of unease over the two. like they had to continuously be walking on eggshells when in each others presence. there's no way for you to ease yourself into some sort of made up harmony that has no build up, right?

so veneziano has his own home in venice, while romano has his own home in rome.

but change doesn't come so easy, especially not after you unintentionally adapt to having your other half by your side almost every day.

sure, each italy has their own home in their respective parts of the country, but out in the middle in the beautiful city of ancona, lies a home built for two.

for when veneziano and romano need to just wind down and become feliciano and lovino. for when they need to escape from the responsibilities of the world and just enjoy the others presence. for when they needed time to just be themselves with themselves only. no nation representatives, no worrying about their country, no need to pretend to be anyone so big and important.

they're able to finally make up for lost time. to spend every waking moment together and take note about any and every small detail about the other.

feliciano learns that lovino has a habit of singing in the shower when he thinks he can't hear him.

lovino learns that feliciano mumbles a lot in his sleep when he struggles to take his afternoon siesta.

feliciano learns that lovino has a natural green thumb when it comes to planting various pretty flowers for the house.

lovino learns that feliciano prefers eating dinner out on the veranda in order to get a beautiful view of the sunset along the ocean.

feliciano and lovino both get to learn that the other isn't really that big of a hassle to live with like they previously might've thought.

and so when staying in their empty houses in venice and rome gets to be too much for them, they learn that without sparing a second to communicate, they can both head for their home in ancona. to continue to patch old wounds, and to further create new heartwarming memories together.

This drawing was actually the first one I did for the Rusita ship, my actual OTP, several months ago. Sorry if I'm not posting my drawings in order, I'm guided by feelings 🥰 After this first try, I tried to draw Ivan's face in a softer way, although maintaining the angularity and strong bone structure. I love to differentiate them so much, I love to portray them surrounded by the strengths of mine and his country 💞 But I'm preparing a much more complicated drawing than this, I hope to finish it soon 😅
