Reading more of Chelsea Manning’s book, and she talks about how Hillary Clinton went on tv to say she was a grave threat to national security, innocent soldiers’ lives, and American cooperation with other countries, and then said in private that literally none of that was true, and internal investigations by the government confirmed the same shit, but that propaganda line was still toted by everyone and used to justify her being tortured in prison.

Hank Hill is the kind of person who despite voting 'R' all his life would have voted for Hillary in 2016 after hearing the "Grab them by the pussy" comment. In 2020, he would have voted straight Democrat because he felt the Republican party was an embarrassment and hopes putting that little bit of pressure will make the party stop catering to fools and extremists.

Dale would be chanting "Drain the Swamp!" and be an avid Trump supporter right up until Trump became President cause now Trump is part of the government conspiracy. Dale thinks Qanon is a stupid quack conspiracy because the truth is actually more insidious. Somehow, his conspiracy theories would cause him to become a full-vax, pro-mask, bleeding-heart liberal who has somehow correctly predicted every major event, including a worldwide plague.

Bill would have fallen completely into Qanon, driving all his friends away. He's currently serving a 6 month prison sentence for participating in the J6 insurrection (Hank is the one who reported him). He's realized how wrong he was is wants to make amends.

“Michele Morrow, a conservative activist who last week upset the incumbent Superintendent of Public Instruction in North Carolina’s Republican primary, expressed support in 2020 for the televised execution of former President Barack Obama and suggested killing then-President-elect Joe Biden.

In other comments on social media between 2019 and 2021 reviewed by CNN’s KFile, Morrow made disturbing suggestions about executing prominent Democrats for treason, including Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Hillary Clinton, Sen. Chuck Schumer and other prominent people such as Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates.

“I prefer a Pay Per View of him in front of the firing squad,” she wrote in a tweet from May 2020, responding to a user sharing a conspiracy theory who suggested sending Obama to prison at Guantanamo Bay. “I do not want to waste another dime on supporting his life. We could make some money back from televising his death.”

In another post in May 2020, she responded to a fake Time Magazine cover that featured art of Obama in an electric chair asking if he should be executed.

“Death to ALL traitors!!” Morrow responded.

In yet another comment, Morrow suggested in December 2020 killing Biden, who at that time was president-elect, and has said he would ask Americans to wear a mask for 100 days.

“Never. We need to follow the Constitution’s advice and KILL all TRAITORS!!! #JusticeforAmerica,” she wrote.”

I usually try very hard not to talk about US politics because it's not my ballpark, and heated appeals to people's humanity isn't my brand, but I'm seeing a worrying amount of this type of rhetoric these past couple days so I feel like I need to give it my best shot here.

This is to say that if you're in the "the Dems are just as bad as the Reps so I'm not going to vote" crew, I think I should legally be allowed to beat you to death with my fists.

I don't have any love for Biden and his ilk either — and as a matter of fact, I don't really give a shit about what happens in America beyond how it affects my homeland (which is more than I'd like) — but I also had to watch while the US government locked up children from my country like zoo animals because some of you got it into your head that voting for Hillary would've been "cringe", and the ensuing four years of sitting around with your thumbs stuck up your asses talking about how "you would never let this happen again". I'm not in the mood for a part two.

Has Biden fixed the immigrant detention centers? No, but his administration has made conditions materially better for the prisoners, which is good. Listen to me. This is good. Yes it's not ideal but small improvements to the lives of real people that exist in the real world right now are more important than your hypothetical post-revolutionary utopia. If you disagree with me, shut up. Again, I should be allowed to beat you to death.

I know everyone who says this kind of stuff is certain that The Revolution is going to happen "any day now guys", but until then, go vote. I promise you the Bolshevik Uprising will not be meaningfully delayed by you taking an hour out of your day to stand in line and fill a ballot.

Headcanon

I headcanon Jingyi as being older than Sizhui. Why?

One, him being like nineteen makes his beef with Jin Ling even more hillarious. Like, dude, that's a fifteen year old.

Two, it makes his dynamic with Sizhui funnier too, because, again, dude, you're the adult, why is Sizhui the voice of reason here? Also Sizhui being sort of in charge of the Lan Junior Team he is on during nighthunts is now "Well, yes, Jingyi tecnically outranks him both in age and in position, but it's Jingyi." - "Point. Hey, Accountant #5, put Lan Sizhui down as sqad leader."

Three, think of the angst potential of when Jingyi could be born. If we say that Sizhui was five during the siege of the burial mounds (which is likely) then he is eighteen now in mdzs canon and was born during the second year of sunshot, putting him at two, almost three years old when Wei Wuxian found the Prison Camp at Qiongqi Path. If that is the case, than Jingyi who is in his peer group could have been born during the first year of Sunshot.

On April 15, former President Donald Trump walked into a Manhattan courtroom for the first day of his trial for charges of falsifying business records in order to conceal hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Trump and right-wing media immediately began spreading lies about the trial. 

Right-wing media have wrongly claimed: that a gag order the judge issued on Trump is a violation of his freedom of speech, that the judge has barred Trump from attending his son’s graduation, that Trump should have been charged with misdemeanors rather than felonies, and that Trump should not be prosecuted because Hillary Clinton’s involvement in the Steele dossier is similar and yielded only a fine.  In reality, the case centers on Trump’s attempts to conceal hush money payments to Daniels, who allegedly had an affair with the former president. Trump funneled the payments to Daniels through his former lawyer Michael Cohen, who was sentenced to three years in prison for his role in the scheme as well as other crimes. Prosecutors allege that Trump violated election law in paying off Daniels as it was part of a coordinated effort to assist his 2016 campaign and may have also violated state tax law by mischaracterizing Cohen’s reimbursement. Experts say Merchan’s gag order is consistent with case law. Merchan also declined to answer Trump’s request to be excused from court on May 17 to attend his son’s graduation, stating that it was too early to make a decision but signaling an openness to it.
