a thing i feel like i see a lot when people draw flash in his legs, is that they’ll often draw the sockets only going like halfway or partially up his thighs, and i’m not sure if that’s just cause search results for leg prostheses are often mostly below-the-knee and they misconstrue some refs while using otk refs as well, or if it’s just that because it’s kind of hard to find refs they don’t realize how far the sockets often go up?

i mean after all most reference images do not feature bikinis XD

the images in that folder don’t have sources cause i was just compiling them for personal use as references, so obviously it’s best to work under the assumption that these are all copyrighted images lol so just for research, reference, and educational purposes

also fair to note that everyone is different and that extends not just to the disabilities themselves but also to different people’s different prosthetic legs and other mobility aids, socket types, knee types, etc. so this is not an exhaustive folder, just a folder with a variety of references i have personally found useful. there are a lot of people who talk about their prostheses on youtube and in blogs and if you want to do real research then i suggest trying those sorts of places and listening to real life disabled people talk about their real life experiences 👍

#this is specifically mostly over-the-knee prosthetic legs and rigid wheelchairs for active users #i am not an amputee but i think it's important to try to be as thorough as possible when writing about things like disabilities #acknowledging both that disabled people are people just like anyone else but also that that doesn't mean the things they do aren't different #ie someone in a wheelchair 90% of the time probably doesn't put stuff on top of the refrigerator. #or that some people in prosthetic legs might have trouble with stairs (but it depends on the person and the prosthetic) #etc #nadia rambles #flash thompson #kinda #mobility aids

Did they believe in Santa?

As a little kid she did, now that she's older no. However, in the future she'll allow her children to believe in him and will actually make an efford for them to believe in him for them to have a happy childhood like she did.

Were they a dinosaur or rock kid?

I'm not really sure what this question mean actually :'v. If it's in terms of interests/collections as Ari was a kid… I'll say a rock kid(?. She did enjoyed looking for pretty rocks when she went to beaches (and seashells), rivers or lakes and she had an obsession with (false) precious jewels she'll collect.

Bugs or slimy critters?

Bugs. As a little girl, Ari used to enjoy looking and playing with bugs like butterflies, ladybugs and even to curious/weird looking bugs like worms and others. She never touched or played with slimy creatures though, she would be grossed lol.

Do they fidget? How?

All the time~. You can easily know how anxious or nervous Ari is just looking at her. She usually fidget with her clothes, fingers, an item or hair.

What were they frequently in trouble for as a child?

Believe it or not, Ari was quite the hiperactive and naughty child. She used to have an almost unlimited energy and imagination, which resulted in constan mess whenever she'll go. She'll leave a trace of clothes, toys or materials (pencils, crayons or drawings), so she would get in trouble for the mess or being reckless in some situations lol.

What underwear do they like?

Normal, comfy and borderline "boring". Panty types like: hipster, hiphugger, bodyshorts and bikini. In terms of bra… well, she needs push ups otherwise "she's flat as a pancake" citing Ayato lol. Of course~ she does have special lingerine for special occasions~ 7u7

Designs on clothing or no?

Depends: As long as Ari finds them pretty, affordable, combine them and can add them into her style she'll make them work.

Birthmarks?

No, she does have a scar on the right side of her forehead and various moles all over her body though.

Do they have good self-control?

She does, but sometimes her feelings (depending the situation in hand) gets the best of her. Just like everyone, sometimes the situation makes us feel and therefore react without us reallly being able to control it. However, overall Ari does have self-control, but~ if we talk about other type of self-control Kino does know how to push her buttons and crumble her defenses whenever he likes~

Do they re-enact scenarios in the shower?

Not just in the shower, Ari's mind is a theater playing scenarios (real and fictional) non stop. In the shower she prefers to listen to music, dance and sing more than creating or repeating scenarios.

Do they tell the waiter that their order is wrong?

Yes, but does requires a lot of courage for her. If she's with either Naomi, Yuri or Kino she would ask them to do it on her behalf. If there's no other way she does do it when she's by herself.

Stairs or elevator?

Elevator. I mean they are there for a reason and that is for them to be used, right? So she'll used them whenever she cans.

Are they an exaggerator when telling stories?

More like exaggerating, she gives A LOT OF DETAILS. If she wants to tell a story, memory or rumor she will provide the listener with context, background and all details she sees fit for the person to understand the story/rumor in question. She can't help it, something as "keep it short" doesn't exist for her and plus she believes it's more enjoyable that way eitherway. That is if you have the honor to actually get to be her friend and therefore get the honor to listen to her talking… otherwise she's as silent as a mouse ^^'.
