Kaoru - I'd like to ask the both of you if there was something that made you want to become a seiyuu. Yuuki - I liked anime in middle school and I was watching it and there was like a different character that appeared for a moment. And I was thinking that they called that seiyuu only for that but I found out that he was also voicing another character in another show and I found out more about seiyuu through this change I noticed. I'd liked games as well back then and I liked voice acting so I thought I wanted to do that. After that I got into the drama club and the broadcasting club and went on the road to become a seiyuu. Hozumi - Right. That happens often. Yuuki - It was a one-way road from high school. Takuya - Wow! Kaoru - Huuh! Yuuki - It was kind of like that. Kaoru - Then, what about Hozumin? Hozumi - Right. In my case, I'm sorry for saying this with two actors present here, but I really liked Kamen Rider. Takuya - Thank you very much! Hozumi - I'm a big fan. I first saw the Heisei Kamen Rider series in grade school and that made me get hooked. Takuya - By the way, which one did you see? Hozumi - Den-O, I think. Takuya - Oh, Den-O. Kaoru - Stop going into that talk. Takuya - Thank you very much. Hozumi - And Kuuga. And then I saw the Rider series from Showa, and also saw all of the Heisei ones and searched a lot about how to become a Kamen Rider on the internet. And I saw you can become an actor, so I decided to do that which didn't change in grade school and middle school. But you know how there's Den-O, where many seiyuu voice, and I realized you could act into Kamen Rider just with your voice. So I searched what job that is, and I found out about seiyuu. At that time, I had also started getting into anime, thought that I might be able to act in Kamen Rider and it would be okay to try being a seiyuu and not an actor. The same as Yuuki, it was a one way road from high school. Takuya - Huuh. Kaoru - You really admired Kamen Rider... Hozumi - Even now, I go buy goods and stuff. Takuya - Earlier, I heard it quickly from him, but he said he even has belts. Hozumi - Yes, of course I still have them. *laughing* Kaoru - It's "of course". Takuya - He likes it enough that this is considered obvious for him. Hozumi - I take care not to get fat to match the waist because it's made for kids. Takuya - And you fit? Hozumi - I do. Takuya - It's impressive how you keep slim for that. Kaoru - Wow. You really are a lot into it. So we've heard this about you two... -----------

Kaoru - You two have had a lot of first experiences around here, and I'd like to ask what you'd want to do from now on or if you have any sort of goal. Hozumi - A goal, hmm. Kaoru - It's okay if it's related to DreamFest or any role you might want to do or something. Hozumi - Well, we haven't had any interaction with Kurofune and DearDream. It's because it's still the debut of the rookies but I hope we could do something together. Yuuki - We do. Hozumi - We often talk among the three of us in ANSwer, things like "I wonder when we'll meet them". Yuuki - Or thay we should go meet them. How we can get to meet them. Takuya - By the way, we were also talking about that on our side. Kaoru - Yeah, that we want to meet you one day. Takuya - We were wondering when we'll get to. Hozumi - Rather that a goal, it's something I wish would happen. Yuuki - We wish to get to work with the others more. Kaoru - We met like this in the DreamFest radio and we're working together so we might get to be in more places together from now on. Takuya - Before we realize, DreamDream might become the backdancers for ANSwer. Kaoru - Right. *laughing* Yuuki - Backdancers? Hozumi - Let's make a project for that starting next month... Kaoru - By the way, what would be your goal, Yuuki-kun? Yuuki - Yes. my personal goal is, because I really like games, is that I want to play an action game with a character I voice in it. Takuya - Is that so. Yuuki - I really like action games. There's a game called **cha where the characters speak a lot (sorry idk which one he means) and the main character really speaks a ton, and you can also do action in it. I'd like to be able to be in a game like that. Kaoru & Takuya - That's nice. Hozumi - And when you'd push abutton, Yuuki would say things like "hngh" "ha". Yuuki - Right, right, that sort. Takuya - It sounds difficult to do all those interjections. Kaoru - You probably record a lot of those lines. Yuuki - Seems so. According to rumors, the script for some games is really..like, how many cm does this one here have? Takuya - How many? Kaoru - Like 30 cm? Yuuki - It's pretty a lot. Hozumi - And the script would be like 1 meter or soemthing. Yuuki - I've heard things like it can take 3 months to record. Others - Huuh? Kaoru - Is that so? I didn't know that. Takuya - We don't really know about that world. Kaoru - True. Takuya - Wow. That's interesting. Kaoru - Thank you very much. Yuuki - Thank you very much.

I’ve been wanting to make this post for a while now... Here’s who I voted for the 2021 Crunchyroll Awards!

Best Comedy - My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom

I’m not gonna explain why I picked Hamefura for all of its nominations, y’all should know by now how much I love this series.

Best Fantasy - Tower of God

Tower of God is the only one of the nominees that I even saw, and I really liked it. Re:Zero probably wins though.

Best Drama - Great Pretender

It’s so weird to think of Great Pretender as a drama but Wizard of the Far East definitely puts it in that category, and I do love how the relationship between Makoto and his father continues to be strained in spite of their truce. As balls-to-the-wall as the ending is, I loved it all the same.

Best Couple - Catarina and Maria (Hamefura)

Side note, Kazuya and Chizuru is one of the worst nominations I’ve ever seen for an award of any kind. As far as the anime goes, Kazuya and Ruka are WAY closer to being a genuine couple. As much as I liked Rent-a-Girlfriend, I hate the way some people have been projecting it and simping hardcore for Chizuru.

Best Fight Scene - Brawler vs Master (Akudama Drive)

The visuals and fight choreography in this fight are what cemented Akudama Drive as a truly special series in my eyes. It should be impossible to do a fight this perfectly, ESPECIALLY in an anime original.

Best Antagonist - Ryomen Sukuna (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Another case of me not having watched a lot of the competition. Also fuck Rachel.

Best Protagonist - Catarina Claes

It’s gotta be Catarina Claes. In spite of her faults, she is the most unique, active and entertaining harem protagonist to EVER exist. She probably won’t win but I genuinely think she’s the nominee that deserves it the most.

Best Character Design - Great Pretender

Tower of God was in contention but then I remembered that Paracule exists.

Best Director - Sunghoo Park (Jujutsu Kaisen)

As much as I love Kaguya-sama, it’s not like the direction of anything aside from the comedy really wows me. Jujutsu Kaisen is the first shonen I’ve become legitimately invested in since watching JoJo’s, and it’s because every aspect of it is refined and directed perfectly. Yuasa would also be a great choice for this one though.

Best English VA Performance - Crispin Freeman

It’s Crispin Freeman.

Best Japanese VA Performance - Riho Sugiyama (Wave, Listen to Me!)

Jujutsu Kaisen is the only show in this set that I’ve caught up to, but if there’s one thing from Wave, Listen to Me that will ALWAYS stick with me, it’s how phenomenal Sugiyama’s performance vocal performance is. Minare Koda always speaks with such emotion and conviction, it’s a bone-chilling experience every time she gets in front of the microphone. As under the radar as this show went, I was so happy to see it get this incredibly well-deserved nomination.

Also say whatever you want about Redo of Healer, if Yuuya Hozumi doesn’t receive a nomination for his performance as Keyarga next year, there is no justice in this world.

Best Score - God of High School

God of High School definitely isn’t one of my favorite anime from last year, it’s probably not even top 15, but I can’t deny that the music is fantastic... except for the extremely unfitting ED but we’ll ignore that in favor of Contradiction and Seo Hallyang’s theme.

Also say whatever you want about Urasekai Picnic, if it’s not nominated for Best Score next year, there is no justice in this world.

Best Girl - Catarina Claes

Yuh.

Best Boy - Gojo Satoru (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Yuh.

Best Ending Sequence - LOST IN PARADISE

You have no idea how hard it was for me not to vote for Last Dance. I love so much about In/spectre and I just wasn’t able to vote for it in either category. Lost in Paradise is just an auditory and visual masterpiece though.

Best Opening Sequence - Daddy Daddy Do!

Well at least I could vote for Kaguya-sama in something. Masayuki Suzuki is just great at what he does and somehow he delivers an OP that’s even better than Love Dramatic from the show’s first season.

Best Animation - God of High School

As I’ve said before, God of High School is all flash, no substance, but the flash is pretty damn excellent.

God I voted for GoH more times than Kaguya-sama and In/spectre combined I hate myself.

Anime of the Year - Jujutsu Kaisen

Hamefura should have been in this category...

L’anime tratto dalla light novel di Rui Tsukiyo andrà in onda nel corso del prossimo anno.

A dirigere l’anime presso lo studio TNK (High School DxD, Senran Kagura: Shinovi Master) c’è Takuya Asaoka (direttore d’episodio in Senran Kagura Shinovi Master e Dorei-ku The Animation). La sceneggiatura sta venendo curata da Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime), mentre il character design è ad opera di Junji Gotou (High School DxD, Kenzen Robo Daimidaler).

Questa storia di vendetta ha come protagonista Keyarga, un mago guaritore che viene sempre sfruttato e maltrattato dai propri compagni avventurieri. Da sempre convinto che i guaritori non abbiano alcuna possibilità da soli, un giorno però scopre di poter attingere ad un potere inimmaginabile, ma ormai ha perso tutto. Decide quindi di “curare” il mondo stesso e ritornare indietro nel tempo di quattro anni per avere la propria rivalsa.

Il romanzo viene pubblicato dal 2016 corredato delle illustrazioni di Shiokonbu e attualmente ne sono usciti in Giappone sette volumi. L’opera ha anche ispirato una versione manga disegnata da Souken Haga, giunta invece al 5° volumetto.

Kiramune Presents: Bokura no Music Park #1 Summary/Review

with: Uemura Yuuto, Chiba Shouya, Hozumi Yuuya, Horie Shun, and Yoshinaga Takuto

I don’t usually do this and this’ll probably be the last time I do this (for this radio show at least). But I wanted to do a little summary/review of this particular radio show’s first episode cause it’s Kiramune, it’s the new unit’s radio show’s first episode, and I wanted to see how it went for them.

***PLEASE KEEP IN MIND***

I am not the best at Japanese but I tried lol. I honestly didn’t think I would do this in the first place but I wanted to share cause I care a lot about Kiramune and the journey it’s going on.

Summary

They were very nervous in the beginning of the episode and they kept stumbling on their words a lot. (and their unit has yet to have a name)

After the intro, they talked about themselves a little bit, talking about hobbies and stuff. (little side note when they were talking about themselves: I couldn't help but notice that almost all of Nobugnal: Ryohei, Wingu, and Nobu have kouhais from their own agencies:

idk i was just really happy for some reason lol. now WHERE is egu's kouhai XDDD)

They talked about various bands like radwimps and bump of chicken (just to name some) And then they talked about ipods and walkmans XDDD going off in various/random topics about music and anything having to do with music.

So the first corner that they actually went into was "Kiramune History" which made me real happy cause they were talking about their senpais!! So when they first said that Kiramune first started in April of 2009 they mentioned Yoshinaga (the youngest of the unit) how old would’ve been when Kiramune first started. He was born in 1999... HE WAS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL OMG. Them talking about it just made me realize too like OMG. Kiramune has come a long way!

And they went to mention all the events that came out of Kiramune like KiraFes, the Reading Lives, and the Fan Meetings.

They went to talk about Kiramune as a whole. Yoshinaga basically talked about how their senpais have shaped Kiramune over the years and how (don’t quote me on this) he wants to keep the feelings that their senpais have created within the label and how they will try their best while under the label.

Hozumi mentioned how at the Shizuoka Live Reading he was impacted by all the fans there when the unit was announced there and how he was really nervous but also happy when the fans seemed to welcome the new unit.

And then Uemura said that he wanted to have fun while under the label and (funnily enough) mentioned the fact that this 5 person unit was pretty big(at least compared to the label so far XDDD)

Then a radio clip of CONNECT's Connect played. And while the song played they talked about it. They talked about how SuzuKen and Iwata started it all in 2009 and talked about how the 5 of them will try their very best to continue what these two had started in Kiramune

Then they went on to talk about KiraFes 2017 and the beginning performance which was done by Trignal(they all attended the event in the audience). And they talked about them for a little bit saying how they're very 'pop' in their music. And also mentioning their senpais were 'cool' during their performance XDDD.

And then they talked about Yoshino and how he sang his songs. Like when he had a megaphone for Sha-ra-ra and when he played the guitar.

And then they talked about the MC corner and how it showed how Kiramune had a very 'warm'/gave a 'warm' feeling with all the seiyuu within the label.

Then they moved on to talk about Nobu’s peformance and Horie stepped up cause Nobu's his senpai. And they all commented how Oborozduki was amazing overall (the PV makes it look amazing enough lol). And then they mentioned 'Want you' XDD and how it's super cute. (these guys are so adorable themselves) And then talked about how Melty Halloween’s MV was cute with the kids as well as the song.

Then they talked a little bit about how they should perform because there’s 5 of them and how they should be on stage and stuff like that.

Then the radio clip of Trignal's Update A Day played. Apparently Yoshinaga LOVES the rap XDDD and they just continued to comment how it's really cool and how they love it.

Then another corner "Kiramune Information" began and they just announced all of the new music coming out soon, mentioned the upcoming KiraFes 2018 event, and mentioned KiraFes 2017's BD coming out.

Then the radio clip for Kiramune☆ALLSTARS Bokura no Egaku Mirai played. They all love it and mentioned how it is REALLY treasured especially within Kiramune. And apparently the boys on stage were all teary eyed during KiraFes 2017′s performance of it (aAaAAaHhHhHH). And they also mentioned how they could even hear the fans singing along (they were in the audience). They commented how everyone singing together just added the power and connection of everyone in Kiramune.

And the ending:

they just mentioned again how they were nervous in the beginning but it was fun as it continued XDD (cuuute)

and Yoshinaga mentioned how Ryohei wished him and Uemura luck before they started recording (what a good senpai👍)

And apparently Uemura was really nervous and his face definitely showed it and apparently he said something along the lines of “I'm sorry Ryohei-san I'll really try my best but...' and just ended it there LOL

also someone mentioned Hozumi went out to go eat fish somewhere (couldn't catch where) before they were gonna record for the radio (most likely leaving him barely a few minutes to spare before the actual recording started) but he said it was really good XDDD and everyone just laughed

Review

It was really entertaining and fun to hear the new unit interacting with each other on the radio. They all sounded very sincere especially when they commented how they will do their best for Kiramune, continue working hard for us the fans as well as their senpais, and maintain the nice, warm feelings created within Kiramune. And hearing that made me happy. I couldn’t hope for anything more than for these 5 to try their best in the label.

So far they haven’t mentioned anything about them producing music nor have they come up with a name for their unit but I’m looking forward to what they produce for their music and the name they come up with! (hopefully the mails will help them come up with a name like how the mails helped Trignal come up with their unit name)

Small Sales Post of Miscellaneous Takarazuka Stuff

I’m making my small collection a little smaller again by putting these few precious items on sale. I hope they’d find a good somebody who could give them at least a little bit more love than I am able to give them at the moment.

Studio 54 dvd – 40 € [SOLD]

Tsukigumi 2010-2011. An Awesome, Delightful and Entertaining show starring Kiriya Hiromu, Aono Yuki and Asumi Rio. Comes with the original postcard.

The Rose of Versailles (Fersen & Antoinette) – Mizu Natsuki digest 20 €

Hoshigumi 2006. For clarification: This is not a full show. It’s a beautiful digest showing us every scene Mizu as Oscar was in (~45 minutes). Bonus track contains special interview with Mizu (~15 minutes) and a curtain call speech from her last performance as Oscar.

Oldies goldies, 16 tracks of delightful tunes. Booklet contains lyrics for every song, as well as small (and super cute) pictures of seito in the recording studio.

What’s better than jazz? Jazz sung by talented seito, of course. The CD has 22 beautiful, legendary jazzified songs, unfortunately not lyrics and just small pictures of every performer, but the content definitely makes up for it.

Stage album 2011 – 6€ [SOLD]

Pictures from every performance from the awesome year of 2011, as well as program-like summaries of plot and cast for every Grand Theater play. In 2011 we had Romeo & Juliette, Oceans 11, Phantom, NIJINSKY, oh, the best year. Grab a diamond.

The cover has a few marks from me loving it so, but the pages and everything else is pretty much in A+ condition.

Elisabeth II – 15€ [ON HOLD]

Mainly focusing on yukigumi’s 2007 version of said musical, contains tons of pictures from stage, backstage, Mizu, Tonami and Yumiko’s trip to Vienna, interviews, costume details… As well as many gorgeous pages of tsukigumi’s 2005 version, costume etc comparisons to every zuka production up to date (that was indeed 2007 back then), also a nice and tiny glimpse of the Vienna production. Over 100 pages of this gloriousness, what a dream mook.

Today we're going to have Yuuki-kun and Hozumin from ANSwer take part in it too. Hozumi - Take care of us. Yuuki - I'll do my best! Takuya - Then, Kaoru, read the subject. Kaoru - Then I will read the theme. We received this from "tesonoya". Thank you very much. I will soon take part in my last cultural festival of high school and I haven't been asked by any boys to walk around the festival with them before; unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if anyone will invite me this year either so I would like to hear a line asking a girl to walk around at the cultural festival together in this corner. That's what it says. Hozumi: - So you need to ask a girl to walk around with you... Takuya - I see. It's difficult, isn't it? Then, how about we have the person who reads it design someone? Kaoru: - Really? Well, there's only one option here, is that okay? Takuya: - Why are you looking at me? Kaoru: - Is it all right? Then we'll have Takuya start!

Takuya: - I see... Hozmi: - Then let's see the strenght of someone with a bit of experience here. We'll see if this will end up making us equal or you'll get one step ahead after. Takuya - Okay, I look forward to the rest. Hozumi - I really liked the troublesome feel. Kaoru: - It was his style, wasn't it? Takuya - Really? Kaoru - Yeah, the noisy part. Takuya - That I was noisy, huh. Yeah, that's good. But this kinda makes me nervous to do. Kaoru - True. But this corner is interesting. Takuya - Oh, it's fun. Let's continue! Yuuki - Scary! Kaoru - Then from Hozumin-san, please. Hozumi - I got it. Yuuki - Do your best. Kaoru - Then, let's start. "A line asking a girl to walk around at the cultural festival together". Please. Hozumi - Uh! Oh, you surprised me, coming out of nowhere. Huh, what do you have there? Yakisoba? Ah, did you go to buy it alone? What, you should've told me! It was surprising. Yuuki - It was very good, as expected. Takuya - That line was very neat. Kaoru - Then, I won't give you any time. Let's go with Yuuki-kun. Hozumi - Thank you very much. Yuuki - Ah, yes. Kaoru - Well then, the theme is "a line asking a girl to walk around at the cultural festival together". Please. Yuuki - Oh, so you were here. You see, I want to ask you something. Hozumi - I'm sorry, is it all right to raise our expectations for this? Takuya - Of course. Hozumi - Thank you very much. Yuuki - This is the theme. Kaoru - How was it, Taku-chan? Takuya - In the end, it's as if I'm the only one who failed. Hozumi - It had a mature feel. Takuya - So it's only me... Kaoru - Hozumin is a bit strict. Hozumi - By saying that part with having you for myself. It was good. It really was. Takuya - Well, I've never said stuff like "have you for myself". I can't do things like invite girls. Kaoru - It was difficult. Takuya - Well, then I'll read the next one. Let's continue. This is from "Yuuko"-san. Thank you very much. Yuuki - Thank you very much. Takuya - "When I was a highschool student I let out a high pitched fart in a room with around 30 people when it was quiet. It was so embarassing I wanted to disappear. So here, I'd like to hear lines for helping a friend feel less embarrased about farting in a quiet place. This one is hard. Yuuki - What should we do about it. Kaoru - Hm, I get it. Takuya - Well, I'm all for making Kaoru go first. Kaoru - No, that's wrong! How about hearing Hozumin and Yuuki-kun first? Takuya - Should we try that? Kaoru - They showed us their skill in the first part. Takuya - Ah, so the Senpai should show us how it's done. *laughing* Kaoru - We should start from the same level. Takuya - We need an example. Then let's start from Yuuki-kun. Yuuki - Okay. Takuya - Well then, the theme is "a line for helping a friend feel less embarrased about farting in a quiet place". Yuuki - Oh! That's a good sound! *clang clang* Takuya - That's the best! Kaoru - It is! Hozumi - I see. Takuya - The best, the best. Yuuki - I ran away. Not so much. Takuya - No, it was great. Kaoru - So how was it, Takuya. Takuya - I think it's a great one. Yuuki - Thank you very much. Takuya - What's best is that he said it outright in a cool voice. It was refreshing. Yuuki - It's not so great when I was the first to go. Kaoru - It was a good first turn. Takuya - Ah, this is good. I like it more to be only listening. Kaoru - Of course it's more fun to listen for sure. Hozumi - It's unfair. Takuya - Then let's have Hozumin next. I didn't imagine he'd go that way. Takuya - Wait, if ANSwer comes over, this project is dangerous. Kaoru - That's funny. Takuya - It is. Hozumi - I used the fact that Yuuki...Yuuki-kun used "sound". Takuya - That's great. Kaoru - So you went that way. It was very good. Hozumi - Thank you. Takuya - Them leaving Kaoru last, I'll be next. Yuuki-kun, could you read the theme? Yuuki - Oh, yes.
