OH SHIT THAT'S HEBREW
it's a reference to the bible ofc where, if you go through the cultural context and such you get "god, god, why have you forsaken me?" (which is. apparently jesus' last words askjdfgfh shoutout the person in the notes who pointed it out 🫡)
[btw, direct translation is more like. "my god, my god, why did you cause me (this) trouble?", but i'm fairly certain it's supposed to be the jesus thing given fyodor's whole Thing]

I’m somebody that’s been working on a pet project TTRPG in my downtime, and I have been wondering something. Do you know of any discord servers or communities that would be full of similar people, people that have already or are currently working on TTRPGs? This might not be the best place to ask, but I thought I might as well shoot my shot.
Extremely good question!!! I know of a couple off the top of my head but I am certain that there are more. If anyone knows of any others or if you want to promote your own TTRPG Discord or TTRPG space please add it to this post!!
The first up is Possum Creek’s Public Discord which is filled with wonderful TTRPG-oriented folks, the Possum Creek crew have done a really good job of fostering a community there. They’ve also got their Patreon Discord, which you do need to back their Patreon to access (which you can do for just $1 a month) and it is also absolutely fantastic.
Secondly there’s the Brain Trust Discord, which is run by Adam Vass and Will Jobst. If you listen to their Brain Trust podcast (which you should) you may have heard of it already but its a really good space filled with a lot of super cool people all talking about and making TTRPGs.
Another one is Reliquary Street Station, which is run by the lovely @stargazersasha. It was originally created during Trans Fucking Rage Jam and has continued to be an incredible creative force in the indie TTRPG and trans community. It is a space specifically for trans artists so please make sure to respect that.
There’s also the Clawhammer Games Discord, Clawhammer Games being the publisher of Gravemire, a Gilded Age tabletop horror game about mortality, growth, and the Louisiana bayou that is going to be available at IPR very, very soon!
Lastly, @jeeyonshim has her Patreon Discord, the Dirtgoblin Community Center. Which, again, you do have to back her Patreon to access but it’s an incredible community, plus there’s so much other cool stuff you get access to by supporting the Patreon that I really recommend checking it out.
Again these are just the ones I can think of, if anyone else knows of good spaces for indie TTRPG creatives please add them on!

I've been prepping my music for Les Mis so I can be off-book when rehearsals start next month and it's reminded me of the importance of paying very close attention to the rhythm especially when singing stuff you have known basically all your life, but also: it's made it very clear to me that I can, in fact, reliably get down to a C3 (i.e., an octave below middle C). So that is awesome and I am very pleased with myself.

are you going to read tsc when it comes out? and, if not: would you like your acolytes to give you the important kevin day updates or would you rather not?
oh my acolytes huh! well i don’t know :) it’s so nice of you to ask and i’m very touched actually…. nice to me 🥹…. i guess any (good) kevin updates would be nice and probably sway the balance on whether i read it or not, but at first glance i probably won’t read it unless it sparks my curiosity once it’s out and the story starts making its rounds around my circles :) i’m plenty interested in the period where jean stays with the foxes but i don’t much care for the trojans nor the proposed storyline*, though even a picky reader like yours truly can be convinced into buying a story if kevin day’s in it
*by this i don’t mean that i Dislike the process of jean healing but it’s just overall not my favorite theme and, to be frank, i don’t have much interest in reading about a normal well-adjusted team either. from my view tsc is aftg without my favorite parts (namely kevin day as a main character, the foxes’ messy dynamic, problematic and controversial side characters, neil’s narration, The Mafia, andrew in general) and while i am always and forever a ride or die for jean moreau, and i am glad he’s going to get better and be happy, a lot of my feelings for him don’t really stem from the idea that there is a softness underneath all the grit but actually and sincerely the fact that he is crazy. i Love jean because he’s horrible and scared and cruel and i don’t know if i’ll care much for him once he’s out of that state :) i meant it when i said a few months ago that i would’ve been more onboard with a story about the ravens (no matter how gruesome) or even a glimpse of jean’s pov in the nest, though of course nora sakavic should probably choose to be happy every once in a while so i wouldn’t ask her to write that
so tl;dr: you can send me good and relevant kevin updates if you want to and if they’re interesting enough i might read tsc in the future

I didn’t realize Ko-fi had tiers! Has anyone here taken advantage of this option? Or know anyone who has? I only now realize they have this, and I’m wondering what the benefits of using this over Patreon would probably be; I don’t see people talk about it.
