are you going to read tsc when it comes out? and, if not: would you like your acolytes to give you the important kevin day updates or would you rather not?

oh my acolytes huh! well i don’t know :) it’s so nice of you to ask and i’m very touched actually…. nice to me 🥹…. i guess any (good) kevin updates would be nice and probably sway the balance on whether i read it or not, but at first glance i probably won’t read it unless it sparks my curiosity once it’s out and the story starts making its rounds around my circles :) i’m plenty interested in the period where jean stays with the foxes but i don’t much care for the trojans nor the proposed storyline*, though even a picky reader like yours truly can be convinced into buying a story if kevin day’s in it

*by this i don’t mean that i Dislike the process of jean healing but it’s just overall not my favorite theme and, to be frank, i don’t have much interest in reading about a normal well-adjusted team either. from my view tsc is aftg without my favorite parts (namely kevin day as a main character, the foxes’ messy dynamic, problematic and controversial side characters, neil’s narration, The Mafia, andrew in general) and while i am always and forever a ride or die for jean moreau, and i am glad he’s going to get better and be happy, a lot of my feelings for him don’t really stem from the idea that there is a softness underneath all the grit but actually and sincerely the fact that he is crazy. i Love jean because he’s horrible and scared and cruel and i don’t know if i’ll care much for him once he’s out of that state :) i meant it when i said a few months ago that i would’ve been more onboard with a story about the ravens (no matter how gruesome) or even a glimpse of jean’s pov in the nest, though of course nora sakavic should probably choose to be happy every once in a while so i wouldn’t ask her to write that

so tl;dr: you can send me good and relevant kevin updates if you want to and if they’re interesting enough i might read tsc in the future

So I personally have a really BIG problem with the day the krang invaded in the original bad end timeline, because it kind of doesn’t make any sense.

Here’s the BIG problem. Casey’s poem.

We know from watching the movie, without any interference thus far, that the foot clan were planning to release the krang at their base on the island. Which doesn’t line up with Casey’s poem at all which SPECIFICALLY mentions the technodrome coming down from atop the tallest tower in New York.

So there must have been some interference even without Casey’s arrival.

The opening of the portal sent a massive beam of light into the air I can’t help but believe would alert the boys, but by then the krang are out. Alas, SONETHING had to happen in that encounter that left the boys struck with feeling like they couldn’t win right then and there. I like to think whatever it was made them focus on evacuation and protecting PEOPLE over fighting the krang themselves.

BUT if the turtles were there they would most definitely know about the key, right? And because the technodrome was released atop metro tower, and not over the island, they must’ve gotten the key back too. At least for a bit. Cause in the movie it didn’t seem the krang had any interest in making a dramatic reveal with the technodrome over the city, they just wanted all of it out.

So why DID they switch locations? What reason? Unless they got the key in the other timeline too. But then how? Cause a lot of things that DIDNT happen in the of timeline happened in the movie. Like Raph getting taken. Even them getting the key seems surprising to Casey.

I think the real shift was Leo stepping up. That’s what changed the timeline the most and let them win. And that had everything to do with Casey telling him off.

Hey there IRIS fans. It's been a while. More than 3 months to be exact. I came once again to offer you my gifts. Behold…..breadcrumbs! :D

Yeah, that's all I have at the moment. I'm sorry.

I was reflecting on the idea of posting things that are more....small? Don't just post finished drawings. Maybe WIPs or, sketches, or in the case above, a doodle! Basically, I don't need to ONLY post finished drawings. Or drawings. Sometimes I can just. Post words, you know. I had the realization about this a while ago when I remembered that I'm on Tumblr. I can post (almost) anything here without limiting myself. Now, will I fulfill this? I don't know. Maybe I'll do that, or I'll just post it when I have a drawing ready to post. I don't promise anything lol.

Anyway, IRIS! I made this little doodle of Goliath while I was out of the house. I only drew his Pre-Explosion version once and it was in that Transmission 3 drawing. As a joke too. So I tried to do something a little more serious. This time…he has a face! I thought it turned out good. I think I found a good way to do his hair too. I decided to color it (and do a light digital lineart over it) to make it more pleasant. Simple, but it looks nice! (I'll leave the normal scribble unedited at the end of the post) Also, I know that in the only art we have of P.E Goliath it doesn't show him with irises and pupils in his eyes. I drew them here because I thought it would be cool.

Next stop is to practice drawing his body. I have to learn how to draw more muscular bodies. Goliath has to live up to his name (and he deserves the muscles tbh)

It goes without saying that I did this after watching the new chapters of Story of Vegala. And speaking of that: i'm gonna be honest with you: I think this is my favorite part of the IRIS story/lore drops posted so far.

It's quite intriguing to see the very story that happened before everything we've seen so far. It's also nice to receive what I've wanted for a while: Tyrant and Fate Lore. It's good to have more information about two characters that we've known (more or less) for a long time now. Especially their origins (broader origins than just *the first beings that walked the Earth* or *beings that came from distant worlds in search of the emblem*)

SOV also makes me excited for other things. Like, obviously, HOAA:R. Releasing soon! December is knocking on the door, you know. But I also really want to see Jaws of Vegala now. And whatever happens in the story that takes place after GT.

So again, SOV is currently my favorite part of the lore, I believe. The anguish of waiting for the next episodes this past week was real.

I'm talking too much once again, SHIT. Yeah, Pre-Explosion Goliath. He deserves the world (He's NOT a monster, he's just BIG and STRONG, and needs a functioning family *cries*)

I don't know when I'll do my next Big Piece related to IRIS. I had something in mind but I lost the will. But I was thinking about doing something related to Solitude for a while. Hold this thought,then. Until then, I'll sketch Tyrant next. Because I like his official design.

I'm pretty sure I'll keep it to twenty, but with a plethora of details/character interactions/a couple subplots I want to add, we'll see. Once I have a chapter posted, how quickly I post the next chapter will heavily depend on whether or not it's a rewrite of a chapter I wrote for the first publication of this series. Newer chapters will obviously take more time. Though there's much more I want to add to existing chapters, the rewritten ones will probably come out more quickly.

Now that that chapter is finally out and I have the official translations and full context, I therefore conclude that that flashback does not exist. It does not belong in the story writing, so it does not exist in my head

that post i made on my writeblr about how there's this one story i have out with a mag that i want rejected because i have a story i think suits the mag better.....live cam footage of me receiving the rejection email on my rainy evening walk

#IT WAS A HIGH TIER REJECTION TOO LOL LIKE YEAH IVE GOT MORE TO SEND YOUR WAY!#like yes release me from these chains!#also another thing is this story was first drafted in june and i kinda want to...not shelve but put the stories from pre like #september on the top shelf...not putting them away entirely but putting them high up #not because i think they're bad i actually love that story in particular and think it has some rly good lines #its just that was a rly fragile era in my life LOL. i want to revisit them in like a year minimum #i didnt draft any flash in july and one i think ? in august that kinda felt like #the last story of that era IDK IF THAT MAKES SENSE those stories just have #a distinct vibe to my approach that i dont see in 1970s leather daddy and between us girls #which are september and october #anyway this has actually presented a conundrum bc the story i want to submit needs more work #but i'm very intentionally doing nano as a break from 'professional' writing so no flash in nov #so anything i submit will prob be in december not the end of this month but thinking about flash in general has me like #i have a lot more story ideas than i thought so maybe it'd be beneficial to just fast draft/edit all of them #let them simmer throughout november in a word doc rather than just let the ideas rot in my brain #but that'll probably mean not finishing the lb chapter/update but also tbh...maybe ill just do that on the side in nov #i think if i do a rough draft of the lb chapter i can tinker with it/write up abt it during nov when i need a nano break #i did say just no professional stuff in nov so if the lover boy autism calls i will answer LOL #im doing the nano 50k goal for WS but not as high stakes as last year. honestly just 50k over any projects will be cool #also i got hit by an opening line on my walk too so now i have another flash idea i have to investigate

So I’m about to make a completely insane post. Excuse me.

So I got this comment on Peaks and Valleys the other day, on the chapter where Blue is in the airport and has to put all his Pokemon in holding.

Grabs this anon’s shoulders. I thought about this. I thought about this a lot. I went back and forth on it during this chapter so much.

And I actually concluded that the airline security does not necessarily imply this. While a lot of our real-world flight security was considerably tightened and comes as a direct result of 9/11, I don’t think that’s the case here.

I think this is actually much more mundane safety concerns. Even an incredibly well-trained and well-behaved Pikachu, if surprised by a bout of turbulence, might let off some static. That’s going to interfere with the equipment and make things unsafe.

What about the incredibly variable size and shape of pokemon - what happens if some kid releases Mom’s Nidoqueen or Wailord in the middle of a flight? That’s a big and heavy pokemon to suddenly have in an enclosed space where weight of cargo has to be well accounted for.

Even if you bring a small Pokémon, evolution could happen really suddenly - especially due to environmental effects. Imagine someone’s got their cute little Tyrunt next to them on the flight, it sneaks a rare candy or something, and next thing you know there’s a massive 600lbs Tyrantrum to deal with.

What about the effects on the pokemon themselves - moving quickly at high altitudes between different places and weather patterns is probably going to make a Castform kind of sick and out of sorts.

Pokeball locking, enforcing Everstone use, or having specific regulations about what Pokémon can go on flights and what can’t. Those could be feasible solutions but would also require a lot of overhead. There’s hundreds of different Pokemon, the average flight holds about 200 people, every single person could carry up to 6 pokemon with them. That’s a LOT of SOPs and guidelines to write, a lot of things to check, potentially a lot of things for passengers to get done (I didn’t consider this at the time because it was pre-Scarvio, but Everstones can only be bought in ScarVio at 3000 yen a pop - otherwise they have to be found in the wild. That’s an expensive and annoying thing to source for either passengers or the airline).

The most effective solution - short of forcing everyone to put their pokemon in boxes to get on the other end (and box software varies by region potentially causing complication, a lot of people would really resist this, etc), is just to securely hold all Pokémon in the same way apart from the human passengera until the end of the flight.

In conclusion: never think I didn’t excessively think about the implications of Pokemon air travel in my gay fanfic. I am insane and I did.

thing about birdy right is that if I came across her music now, I probably wouldn't think twice about it, but. well. I didn't lol piano sketches and young heart helped me through a really hard time when they came out and then again when I rediscovered them. so yeah I'll rib her music calling it mid and joke that she's my favourite mid white woman or wtv but. her music does mean a lot to me lol I wouldn't do all that if I didn't love it
