Happy Grace/Pan Vibes For The Soul

"How can I, with you in the way?"/"(Laughs) The floor is yours!"

First of all I'm honestly just so charmed by how genuinely delighted Pan seems to be at watching Grace finding her voice and learning to enjoy using her power, I think that's where I started to take a shine to him. (also seems quite central to his character/romance in general because it's a thing that recurs through their relationship -- he tells her "I'm enjoying it if you're enjoying it" straight out at one point and that's definitely always there in the subtext). He buys a music studio for her just in case she ever wants to return to making music again even when she's not the muse anymore just because he loves her singing and has seen it make her happy before, how is that not the sweetest goddamn thing in the world??? Pan and Oracle in shared first place as stans for Grace musically

For real though, 'I Can Teach You' is sooo... even when you don't join forces with him Pan teaches Grace so many things in that song, it's a thematic tutorial as well as a gameplay one in many ways. For me I think the most impactful subtexts are 'This is a tricky situation, change is here and it's difficult, but you have more control and agency here than you think' ("You're in control!" "It's your song!"), and this sense that, y'know... there can be joy and playfulness and discovery in setting out into the unknown, not just fear and uncertainty.

my observations on the grace/pan dynamic across the different personality traits (yes I've done a run of each romancing him I am normal about it):

Clever!Grace: Pan seems to set out to be a trickster mentor of sorts, and Clever!Grace flips the uno reverse card on him and goes ‘Not if I trickster mentor you first bitch be honest about your feelings or perish challenge engage’. Probably the most birds of a feather combination (and indeed it’s the Blue version of the soundtrack that shows off his romance — also his tie and glasses are on the cover for that one :) ). 

Charming!Grace: Performative puppy dog eyes-off whenever either of them wants to get their way. 🥺4🥺. Pan is provably a soft touch from the Charming option to find Persephone before Challenging A Queen so I feel he probably tends to buckle faster but it’s a close thing. Local trickster god completely disarmed by someone being nice to him.

Kickass!Grace: “Be real with me or Imma kick your ass”/”Promise? ;)”/"...>:)"

I am always thinking about the way he steps up in The Trial when romanced (and the way it's the only one where Athena is genuinely shocked and appalled fhskadj). there is something about him that's like... he keeps protesting against 'innocent' and he's probably right haha, but there is certainly an almost fundamental lack of any active malice there that he doesn't fully admit to himself or to grace until this moment. he is doing this for grace, but it is also a confession about something really deep in himself that seems to be very vulnerable for him in its sincerity -- that he really doesn't mean to or more importantly want to cause harm (I don't wanna dance/with blood on my hands). admitting to his own basically good heart finally seems to be the bigger, scarier thing for him, more than facing the prospect of dying. he's experiencing the mortifying ordeal of being known and I for one am so proud of him

the way he sings that just to her and completely changes the meaning of it from what he said with it before, from using it to keep her out to inviting her in...

also can you imagine how badly the kill bill sirens must be going off in Grace's head in all variations of this scene no matter who steps up, considering what happened to Freddie just days before....... oof!

I really like the visual repeats of crossing the pond to the tree and back as a metaphor for them getting closer (or rather, him letting her closer, it is very much His Space). he retreats back there towards the end of 'Share This Dance', and that's the point where Grace puts her foot down and essentially says 'no. you come meet me honestly in the middle this time or this isn't happening'. and in 'The Trial' he does and then some!

I meant what I sang. I'm not a good man. If Athena had taken me up on my offer, the Idols would have been better off But I can try to be better. You make me want to try.

fun fact: if you break up with him after The Trial (YEAH you can still break off the romances at that point! it's wild honestly fsjadk), Grace tells him he should try to be better ‘for himself’ not for her... and he calls that (i.e. himself) ‘not much of an incentive’. My guy don’t make me break out the ‘Have you tried therapy’ prompt again. He takes it very calmly and gracefully under the circumstances but he's also like. quietly resigned and subdued. I tried it once for Science and never will again but there you go I bring my knowledge to this altar of sadness lol

you see the thing is I would forgive him for just about anything too I understand why so many of the characters in-game can't stay mad at him for any length of time

Musings about the Thorm family

(HEAVY Act 2 spoilers ahead!)

As I'm replaying the game and mucking around the Shadow-Cursed Lands, I... can't seem to stop thinking about the Thorms.

I could be interpreting things all wrong here, but it seems to me that Thisobald, Malus, and Gerringothe Thorm, they're... all supposed to be Ketheric's relatives, no? The information on how exactly they're related is confusing (I've found places on their wiki pages where they call them all Ketheric's siblings, one where Malus is said to be Ketheric's uncle, but Thisobald keeps referring to Ketheric as "father" which I don't know if he means more as creator, as in if he's supposed to be Balthazar's twisted creation that merely sees Ketheric as a father or what) so it's unclear how exactly they're supposed to be related, but... they are still Thorms. Ketheric's, and by extension Isobel's family, who were all alive before Reithwin would have succumbed to the shadows and the Dark Justiciars.

Like, I don't claim to have perfect understanding of the timeline at all, I could totally be seeing this all wrong, but as I'm interpreting things now... it's said that the Thorms were a powerful Selûnite family, and the patriarch, Ketheric, a renowned general and paladin(?), turned to Shar worship in his devastation over the loss of his wife Melodia, and his daughter Isobel. He turned his back on Selûne, and led an army of Dark Justiciars against the Selûnite town of which he had once been in control, and both kidnapped her daughter's lover and Selûne's own daughter Aylin, and before his defeat, unleashed the Shadow-Curse that ended up corrupting the very spirit of the land, Thaniel. (My guess is that the intent was to kill Thaniel, but he was merely torn asunder by the curse, and the part of him that stayed himself managed to flee to the Shadowfell before he would have lost his power, while the damaged part of him that stayed behind made a home in Oliver's body.) Then, as he was brought back to life by Myrkul, Ketheric agreed to sell his soul in exchange for his daughter to also be brought back to life; true resurrection. On this much, I'm (mostly) clear. This mostly makes sense to me.

..... But the rest of the family... also all watched this entire thing happen. They too lost first Melodia, then Isobel, to death, then Ketheric to madness and then death, and then themselves as well.

Sure, they were likely corrupt even while alive, I'm not arguing that they weren't. Of course they were. But the little notes around town, they only say that Ketheric put his relatives in charge, and that the Thorms had the "cushy jobs". And I assume they were... all pretty normal people then, all things considered, because none of the notes I've found mention that, btw, the tollmaster has recently taken to wearing a suit of gold, dunno what that's about, or that the surgeon had blades for fingers, idk if you noticed, though those would be pretty important things to note about them.

Malus was likely the worst, with how ardently he seems to have taken to true Shar-worship, even with a clear mind (the medical textbook he wrote is described as crisp and detailed, blending Sharran aphorisms with genuine medical science), and how many atrocities it's suggested that he's committed, but... before getting his fantasy!medical license revoked, he likely was a genuine healer, a doctor. Not a cleric, but a surgeon. The head to the House of Healing as more than just a figurehead, before his curse-warped mind would have led him down this dark path, and since none of the memos and notes seem to have been dated, we don't actually know how far gone he was when he wrote things like "anaesthetic is a tool to relieve my ears of my subject's screams as I apply the blade, not a mercy to be freely dispersed to living corpses". Could have been during the assault, could have been decades later, we don't actually know.

Gerringothe, sure, she was greedy and corrupt, but she was... just a clerk, a toll collector. She pinched and pilfered valuables, but the curse, it amplified all her worst qualities, and I think drove her to madness quickly- likely even before things got so bad as for her to become what we meet her as, this devilish-looking, emaciated being masquerading as a golden statue. She seems to have quickly devolved to having horrible outbursts of anger that had her employees hide in safes to save themselves from her, but before? I... don't know if I've found anything to suggest that she was likely to have been all that much worse than many other characters in similar positions. She was likely just a corrupt official with a mean streak, looking to make a buck on the side. (I can't figure out why she is the only one of the three with the "fey ancestry" passive feature though. Ketheric and Isobel have it as well, but the others don't seem to??? Are they just too far gone???? Idk????)

And Thisobald... I think he was a pretty young man when he was put in charge of The Waning Moon. And even in undeath, he's very gregarious, genuinely friendly for someone in his situation, and he sounds almost innocent as he ushers you to the bar, sits you down, and requests that you drink with him and delight him, tell him stories about your adventures for which he rewards you by answering your questions to the best of his ability. (He makes a silly li'l poop joke when you talk about the Grymforge, ffs! He's just a chap! A dude! A sweet little fella!)

The undead patrons' dialogue and the book in the backroom at least reveals that Thisobald was a distiller, a brewer once- but as the curse (and likely Balthazar, given the extensive disfigurement of his body, what with the four legs, the tail, and the tank on his back) warped his mind, he seems to have turned more and more towards stronger and stronger toxins, poisons. (Because, well, what is alcohol if not a less harmful poison?) He seems to have become obsessed with creating a deadly powerful toxin, and then, once his mind was too warped but before he could finish it, he seems to have lost interest in that as well, and "lived" from that point only to drink his poisonous brews, and be merry.

It's just... all so sad. How just one man's inability to cope with loss ruined him, his remaining family, his town, and so many lives after as well; how he blighted the land for a hundred years and caused so much suffering, just because he could not accept the loss which he alleged to turn to worship.

Ketheric was never a true worshipper of Shar. He could never actually embrace loss or absence as holy. But he did drag everyone still dear to him down with him for it.

With his birth time confirmed in his recent instagram live, we can finally take a look how his astrological placements and aspects come into play.

Disclaimer: All these are for entertainment purposes only. DO take my words with a grain of salt.

Astrological body that will be looked into in depth in this post is Black Moon Lilith (BML) as it shows up prominent in my research.

Sun conjuncts Retrograde Mercury in 2nd house: This man is INTELLIGENT! Not in the traditional will-score-high-in-exam type of way, but street-smart. Pluto squaring this conjunction adds a well of depth to his insight. He is observant. Let's be real here. Sun-Pluto and Mercury-Pluto natives are distrustful in nature. They don't take things at face value. Especially with Mercury-Pluto harsh aspects, they will linguistically pull apart your words to look for hidden meanings. At the same time, Mars sextiles this conjunction, fuelling this mental process. This man's mind must be very busy. The chart above also shows that this conjunction inconjuncts Uranus, but I won't take this into consideration here as the orb is 3 degree, a bit too large for inconjunction. But generally, this indicates a person with a thirst to rebel.

Moon in 1st house trines Saturn in 9th house: The reason I don't feel this man is as emotional as other Moon in 1st house natives is because of this aspect. Saturn calms things down. The education that Jungkook receives is likely to be highly traditional. To a point that he could have been told he shouldn't cry as he is a male. (Fxxk toxic masculinity btw!) It doesn't mean that Jungkook agrees with this sort of teaching, however this aspect shows Jungkook restrains himself showing emotions because of this to a certain degree. But that doesn't mean he is unfeeling, in fact, he has some very disturbing emotions. His Moon squares Pluto in 5th house: the Weeknd also comes to mind whenever I see Moon-Pluto aspects in a natal chart. His music (his creations) encapsulates the emotional struggles a Moon-Pluto native has very well, e.g. the emotional guard, distrust, the yearning for emotional closeness but at the same time being scared of it etc.. The above chart also shows that moon inconjuncts Neptune but again the orb is 3 degree, I consider it too large for inconjunction. But generally speaking, this aspect can make a person more sensitive to his or her surroundings and others' feeling.

Mercury parallels BML: He knows how to fxxk with your mind with his words. Instead of actions, he teases with words. He would like to see the muscles around your eyes twitch when he says something naughty. I will stop here as this is not a 18+ reading. But BML is what the patriarchy cannot control. It will not surprise me if Jungkook muses over some feminist ideas.

BML conjuncts AND parallels north node: He is destined to become the exact opposite of what the conservative Korean society is. Actually he is already showing signs of this, with his steadfast stance on tattoos, I am glad he is on the right path.

Venus in 3rd house opposite Saturn in 9th house: Venus in 3rd house indicates that Jungkook shows his love through bantering. This is honestly becoming a recurring theme of his. He is smart himself and would like someone to challenge his intellect in a fun way. This is not an aspect that he will sing you love songs or cuddle you. Saturn suppresses that. This love style is strengthened by the fact his Venus trines Jupiter in 7th house. Someone with an outstanding alma mater can attract Jungkook's attention. I can envision Jungkook trying to get his or her attention by starting the conversation with a controversial topic. And of course Venus-Saturn natives loves partners who are more mature than them. And when you throw Jupiter into the mix, this partner also has to be wise, at least knowledgable.

Mars in 4th house squaring Uranus in 6th house and Jupiter in 7th house: There must be a lot of actions within Jungkook's household. Not necessarily competition, but definitely things are always happening in his household. Impulsiveness is likely as both Mars-Jupiter and Mars-Uranus aspects both indicate that, but for different reasons. Jungkook can do things because he thinks it is fun (Jupiter), or because he wants to challenge the status-quo (Uranus). Again, not diving into the sexual interpretations as this is not a 18+ reading. Mars squaring Ascendant: This man's competitiveness can rub people in the wrong way. People can view him as brash especially when Jungkook's mars falls into Scorpio. I mean, Scorpio Mars has a reputation of being ruthless and vicious.

Descendant conjuncts Uranus: This aspect attracts erratic people into Jungkook's life. Like minds attract. Jungkook can be as erratic as the people he is attracted to. Luckily, Uranus is in the 6th house, not in the 7th house of partnership, or else Jungkook will have a difficult forming long term relationships with others. But now, I see that Jungkook has an unstable working environment. This aspect can indicate people come and go in one's life, in this case, work life.

Zombification process

One of the most fascinating and intricate processes in Haitian Vodou is zombification, which revives the recently dead into mindless, soulless zombies. As part of the vodou religion, the bokors (Haitian vodou sorcerers) have the power to create and control zombies.

After this process takes place, the bokor revives the victim and keeps the zombie in a state of submissive confusion. In this state, the zombie cannot speak, has no memory, and no longer resembles its past human personality. As a result, the zombie is easy to control and the bokor can use the zombie as a slave.

That is what I feel certain writers or fans do with the characters they claim to love. They deprive them of their personalities, their very essence and make them fit their own personal narratives, fantasies, and hopes, just because they feel like it, just because they can. Just because they feel entitled to take someone else's creation and milk it. Granted that we on here or even on A03 get no financial benefit out of it, OK. But we get the benefit of being read and "congratulated" sometimes by our creations, by our musings. Right? We get our egos pet, in a sense. So, IMO taking a character that was not created by us and morphing it into SOMEONE ELSE COMPLETELY who happens to keep the same physical appearance and name BUT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE that was originally assigned to it by its REAL CREATOR, is nothing but a HUGE Zombification process.

There's no creation there, there's only colonization of the character's traits that make them who they are, who they were created to be in the first place, and who we fell in love with while watching, BTW. Also, there's this appropriation of this character only to turn them into someone else that fulfills the bokor's fantasies, which obviously HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHARACTER PER SE, those fantasies are just projections of the bokor's inner world.

All of this would be somewhat OK, as far I'm concerned, if it was handled with care, with ethics (?) maybe?. Mostly with honesty. In a SM post it's hard to do that, it's kind of a lawless zone. You can post whatever you want, no matter how zombie-like that post is in terms of characterization, so ... whatever... I get it. Hate it, but get it.

But in FF we have A/Ns. We could definitely be honest about how we intend to fully zombify the character and take it to a completely different AU where all that we intend to keep IC is the name and the looks, everything else WILL BE ERASED AND OVERWRITTEN to make it fit this AU's narrative, that we do own because it's our creation. And that would be just fine because we would be owning it and as soon as the reader sees that A/N, they can decide what the fuck to do about it.

This doesn���t mean that I don't understand the rules of fiction, I know that when you create a character and put it out there, it's all fair play, anything goes... I also know that it's fiction, so on a blank page you can do whatever you want and whoever you wanna do it with, and like I said, you are not even getting paid for it, so no one can touch you. You have impunity. Yes. Got it. Does it make it right? Probably it doesn't make it wrong, but if we take this to the trademark arena, for instance, we can clearly see that taking a completely different product we can design and then put the label on it of a known and successful brand WE DO NOT OWN, it's illegal, whether you sell that product or not, whether you profit from that travesty, it's besides the point, it's just not permitted, period.

In fiction, fortunately, we don't have to comply with that set of rules trademarks and brands must, but I guess that what I'm saying is that it would be nice that if the BOKORS took, say... IDK... CARMEN ANTHONY BERZATTO and make him eat shit from their fucking belly button because that's their fucking kink, at the very least they have the decency to call him... IDK JOHN DOE, because we all know that's not Carmy!!! We have to at the very least agree on that undeniable fact, right? Or, maybe they could have the tact of using the fucking A/Ns and disclaim the fuck outta that fic saying that they are going fully OC just because their ass felt like it and then we can all agree to disagree or not, and move on. How about that?

Too much to ask? Apparently YES.

Well so... that was me venting. Of course, don't mind me, keep zombifying characters you didn't create, it's fine. We can all read whatever we want and dismiss whatever we don't like. My point is not that anyone should stop doing it, which would be a pretty stupid and unattainable point to make, but that it should be done in all honesty, not just by appropriating stuff that we don't rightfully own, even though we can and just because we can.

-Me: Okay so apparently it was a year since Alois was last put in detention and he lost his 'fame' as a delinquent?? Character development. I mean, he's in detention right now, but still-

-Me and my best friend being Travis stans is a costant. We were hype about him FINALLY having a Travis PoV chapter.

-Travis, in that chapter, says that if Cielois ever got engaged, he would be sure to give them a discount, wich i found really sweet. Now I'm wondering, in the future... were the rings made by Travis' mother or did Ciel commission them from someone else? I don't remember...its been too long..please tell me if you're reading this, Hate.

-Me losing it from how funny it is that everything happens at Warwick (despite knowing that it's bc it's the MCs' school) upon starting the Black Annis case and musing about how the other students should have just gone to Weston or some other less chaotic school.

-So, during the whole Ciel-Fights-Alois-While-Under-The-Effects-Of-The-Fear-Poison, Ciel says "Your blood tastes just as good as the rest of you" and I was like "I really didn't want to know that"

-After hurting Alois and coming back to his senses, Ciel is scared and feels guilty so he keeps avoiding him, wich hurts Alois as well as himself, so the whole household is upset about the situation in return. When I told my friend about it, she went "Nooo they're in their divorce arc!" and it killed me 💀

-I was talking about how Cielois & Co were scared of the council kicking up a fit and killing them bc of the drug controlling Ciel, but I was calm bc I trust Integra, and tbh that was my modus operandi about most if not every interaction the demons ever had with HELLSING...and I'm not even a HELLSING watcher/reader...

-Btw i also stanned Oliver's dad EXTREMELY. He's a good man and a good father.

-I was really sad about Alois not wearing the short shorts anymore bc they were funny to me. Now I'm not anymore, tho I gotta say I always missed his crossdressing? Like although he did it so often mostly for attention (as he himself says in the sequel) I gotta say I miss the "So what's wrong if I'm a man and like to crossdress?" thing he did. Luckly Kris picked up the slack and crossdressed in that Pride chapter. U GO KRIS.

- So Integra goes into the specific of the experiment to Humanize Ciel and then asks everyone if they're okay with saying he's innocent in the attack to Alois and everyone but one gets his hand up and I was really mad abt that one but then I found out that it's just that the guy was asleep bc he was extremely old and it was really funny to me.

-About the paintball fight the 7 did where (I think) the others put Alois and Ciel alone in two different teams thinking it would put them at a disadvantage, my friend was like "I love how they did that bc if Cielois was together the others would be defeated in half a second (Bathroom Break included in that time)"

- Me: I still don't understand why the rest of the Seven is like "You guys never do anything chill and normal!!" like...The fashion show?? The summer vacations?? The host club???

My friend: Exactly, c'mon! The fact that like half of those ends in chaos anyway is not their fault...

Me: LMAO. I mean, though, most of those went normally? The only chaotic time I can think of is when they found out about Luka's soul being back and had to make a whole ass ritual in the basement to give him a body.

My friend: Still normal enough if you ask me.

Uhm... what if I told you that my brain keeps bubbling with plot for the hybrid!demon thingy I pitched to you??

Please don’t be mad at me 😭 I feel like I am abusing your patience and I am sorry. I will stop talking about it after this ask, I swear 🥺

Just a few things first hihi:

You don't have to take it. Or take only a few parts of it if you want. It's just that since it's already on my mind and I have no other purpose for it, I might as well give it to someone that could maybe make good use of it. If you don't use it, that's ok, it was still a good mental exercise for me.

Honestly I have already gone so far off with it, that it's almost completely divorced for the prompts you initially proposed - which makes sense considering I went of on just a few words you gave at first.

The only things I have written start to finish are academic papers, documents and a couple small stage plays for kids (charity work, nothing professional). There was a poet fase during childhood but I don't think that counts. And the reason I don't write this story myself is because I would definitely loose all motivation halfway and just abandon it unfinished - I do it with other things too like painting, drawing, crocheting, sewing... creativity comes in random spurs for me. As soon as a idea stops feeling fresh and challenging in my brain, the fun is gone and so is the motivation to keep going for it thank god I am not like that with relationships.

Btw that is one of the things I've been admiring a lot in you - your relentless commitment to going through with such a laboring fic like yamqn. Even if it gets taxing and big and tiring sometimes, you keep going with the writing and the community building, and you don't even falter with the quality at any point. How??? When I say you are amazing I MEAN IT ♡.

Now regarding a few things you pointed out:

- The good thing about having a demon!character is that they are immortal. Beomgyu will live eternally and oc can reincarnate as many times as you want. You know what I am saying? Get where I am getting at? You can write how many versions of it as you want - each one a different oc lifetime/reincarnation. Maybe my version could happen in the 70s, and the one you have thought of is in the actual current days idk. The God of this universe is you, writer! You play the faiths, you create the rules, you control time and space, you command that universe! I know you might not want to commit to yamqn for so long - there are other things you want to write too and you have a life. But I am just giving you food for thought hihi

- I like complicated things lol there is not much more I can say here I guess 😅 no excuses to be given.

- Like I said, my mind kept bubbling and I think I got the rough answer to most questions I made you myself.

Aaaaand now we get to the story:

♡ How is oc like now?

Like you said, in this lifetime oc is a bunny!hybrid. Back when mutations began happening, oc ancestors where a family of court entertainers - well educated ladies that frequented the high circles of society serving as dancers, conversationists, muses for known artists and sometimes concubines. With time bunnies as well as kitties and foxes, stereotyped as stealthy, graceful and sensual beings became highly sexualized they started being seen as the sex-workers class. And well, from the reputation that comes with this practices, society wouldn't grant theses especies many opportunities out of it - so the stereotype becomes a planted reality.

♡ How this version of oc life is like?

A few decades ago government raised concerns over the reality of those types of service hybrids. Since they are not big predators and are so attractive to other species, government started passing laws assigning specific neighborhoods for those species to live, "for their own safety" you know. Thus red-light districts became a thing. Not long after another law was passed, imposing that every family of bunnies could only keep one fertile child and all the other children in the house were to be castrated - bunnies reproduce fast and they are in sex work so overpopulation could easily become a problem, they said. Truth be told, they thought it was starting to look "ugly" to have so many prostitutes around "respectable" neighborhoods, so the people in power decided to keep them down in numbers and hidden in their own corner. So that is where oc have lived all of her life. She was lucky, or unlucky, that her parents picked her to be the fertile child - that means she would not be put to serve on the family business, and instead only took the role of administrator of the place after her parents died. She even managed to get into university to learn administration, but the amount of sexual harassment she got from other students for simply being a bunny - a relatively rare virgin bunny at that - was too much so she quit after a couple semesters. She then decided to dedicate herself to taking care of her siblings (can we get stripper!yeonjun and boyfriendforhire!soobin as her brothers??) and the family business without caring much about the rest of the world anymore.

♡How oc and beomgyu meet again now? How does he befriend her?

Don't get me wrong, of course demons are not pristine goody-two-shoes, they are bad... but so are humans. The thing is that humans, especially humans with power are not big fans of taking accountability for their actions - so they began using demonic presence and demonic influence as scapegoats for all of their wrongdoings. Unsurprisingly, that type of discourse going around only makes the already generally bitter feelings a large part of society have towards demons into even greater animosity. On the last few years things only been getting worse, and street mobilizations against demonic access to public human institutions, for exemple, happen frequently. Religious cults are the new mafia and every once in a while you would hear of then planning attacks on demons, especially minor demons. Then higher demons counterattack and the cicle repeats itself. Lately where could be the only parts of town that a succubus or a incubus could walk around, or even live in, without having to worry about someone throwing a stone at them: yes, the red-light districts. They would have to be a common appearance around there anyways considering their nature, right? So no one really objects their presence there, but since they could become kind of competition to the local workers if things get out of hand, those two groups of social outcasts oftenly team up and most establishments have a partnership with one or two demons to bring in the clients and share the outcome - easier job for the humans, easier food for the demons. Imagine how Beomgyu felt when he went around the red-light district looking for a place to stay and, after being turned down by multiple establishments because "his beauty would diminish the value of their product in comparison" (lol), he knock on the door of one last business and the one he sees in front of him is not only the prettiest bunny he has ever seen but also the one carrying the soul of his one true eternal love. Upon seeing her he immediately, instinctively, feeling the need to impress her, uses of his powers to take the form of fantasy (of his own desires, instead of someone else's for the first time... he didn’t even know he could do that) and appear to her as a innocent destitute bear!hybrid boy looking for a job in exchange for a place to stay (he is not lying, that is basically what he came for... a few details can be left for later, right?)

(you make your magic to maneuver the whole him being ashamed of his status and afraid that being around him would harm her again part of the story fit here. I think it could make for a lot of very dramatic and very sexy conflict. I am literally giving you sex demons, and a entire social class of sex workers as the main characters. It oozes unapologetic sex, but with many underlayers of shame, sadness and misery)

And somehow I made another ask just as huge and about the same topic 🤣🤣 The amount of plot I have been throwing at you for this feels about three seasons long already, I know. I kinda feel a little sorry for you now.

I was actually wondering if you'll elaborate more or not 😂

Ok so here is what I'm thinking. He sees her before he enters the establishment and realizes it's her so he spends some time observing her, seeing her struggle and deal with unruly clients so he decides to take on the form of a bear hybrid to be big and strong for her to seek protection from him.

When he finally knocks on her door, he wants her to not be scared of him or else she'll turn him away so he decides to make himself appear wounded. She takes him in and tends on his wounds until he gets better. One of her brothers suggest than since gyu is so attractive, he could make his living there but for some reason oc feels like she doesn't want that. She feels jealous somehow and so she tells him that he doesn't have to. That's when gyu knows he got her. He offers to work as a guard and she's happy about it.

But throughout his stay there, he keeps getting closer to her, subtly touching her and using his incubus powers on her (maybe even exchanging her heat suppresant for sugar pills) because she keeps putting a distance between them as she hates being a bunny hybrid and thinks gyu only wants her because of how sexual her species is. But this drives gyu crazy because he needs to feed but ever since he saw her he just can't bring himself to feed on anyone else.

Until finally she breaks, her heat comes for the first time and she quickly locks herself up in a room. Gyu goes after her and attempts to get her to open up to him but she refuses. So when she sleeps. He uses his powers to enter her room and seduce her. But as they fuck, she feels her energy draining and with horror she realizes that gyu is a succubus. She tries to push him off but it's too late, he won't let go now.

That's as far as I got so far.

I'm still unsure about keeping both demon and hybrid elements in one story. And yeah different eras could work but then because of the introduction of hybrids, there would still have to be hybrids in the other eras so I'm not sure about that.

I feel like if I am to do this I'd have to separate it from the yamqn universe and make it another lost love story or just plain old yandere gyu 😂 idk i'm confused

Honestly I think my main issue with this pitch is the hybrid part because even though I really like the plot we've created here and even though i'm obsessed with hybrid fics i feel like they can come across as a bit goofy to readers so it might make yamqn seem less serious because of heats and knotting and bunnies you feel me? Like don't get me wrong like I said I LOVE hybrid fics but idk if I wanna involve it with yamqn. Add to that demons and it gets out of hand.

Maybe Louis doesn´t want to perform No Control because it won´t have that power when he was yelling that song right in front of H while H was cheering the crowd like the biggest Louis´ fan in the universe (as he is ofc). It´s quite explicit song in a way we know exactly about what it is and maybe there won´t be that magic when he can´t perform it in front of the muse for that song. And btw imo Louis must have some confident in him because how he randomly posted several extremely sexy photos of him playing football and that shirtless one was the cherry on top of the cake. I mean, he must know he´s hella sexy man when he gave us those content. I think No Control is Louis' song and it would be great to hear him sing the whole thing by himself. I don't think it would be less magic if he did it on his own. He needs to provoke that excitment and have something to draw 1D fans to his shows. It's an ace up his sleeve he's not using.

Billy isn’t usually   one to linger around self declared haters of rock ... but regardless of if they hated rock or not, those kids were talented! He couldn’t help but stick around, listening to their music sessions -- even if it did almost remind him of the pop he used to sing, it was still loads better than he’d ever expected them to be... part of him worries if they would ever dethrone him, but he tries to stomp down those feelings. Let’s not get envious of another teenager ... or four. It’s just a bad look on him.

Still, he’s pretty aware that they can’t see him. Proof? They always ignored when he tried to speak to them, and phased through him quite often. Nothing he did ever seemed to catch their attention, besides one or two moments where they questioned why something was randomly floating. But they didn’t seem to even consider it could have been a ghost. So, that means he could get away with raiding their food pantry and cabinets whenever he wanted. They’re bound to notice something going on EVENTUALLY, right? 

... Well, they did, but not in the way that he’d expected.

Stealing another jar of peanut butter and bringing it to his hangout in their studio, he sticks his finger in it -- only to pull a very displeased, disgusted face a moment later. He looked like a baby trying a lemon for the first time -- and got so  mad that his whole face turned a deep red. Storming off to the recording part of the studio, where they were all working on Sayu’s next song, he started lecturing the group harshly on buying SMOOTH peanut butter, NOT crunchy -- only to stop in his tracks when they turned their heads his way, each and every face full of utter confusion and bafflement. It takes him a moment to stop ranting about the wrong kind of pb being bought before he realizes that they’re following his every movement ... and when he does, his anger vaporizes. Gone is his annoyance -- replacing it is a blank stared face, lips pursed and voice now silenced. He waves his finger back and forth -- watching as their eyes follow. He asks how many fingers he’s holding up. and when he gets a correct answer .... oh, it all falls into place. Slowly, he grins -- a genuine grin, one full of SO much excitement.

“Hey, wait a minute..... You know what this means? You guys CAN see me! Why didn’t you guys act like it sooner?!”

Knuckles has only shattered the Master Emerald a total of two times in his entire lifetime, both times having been a last resort and no other options. Otherwise, he will prevent any harm or destruction to come to it even if it means putting his life on the line.

Whether or not normal means can destroy it, since the times it was shattered were by his own fists and channeling chaos control when he did, that doesn’t mean he’s going to see if they DO work. If he see anyone trying to harm or shatter the Master Emerald, he will defend it (and if not him, than Chaos will).

Whild Jin Sakai is seen as a driven and logical person, but he also has a creative and rich inner world. He has a lot going on inside of his mind and because of this, he has a sense of depth which makes him more complex than people realize. While logic is certainly important to Jin Sakai, even as the Ghost who seem to lose that logical, strategic side to his raw, visceral emotions of fury and vengeance, he still has strong semblance of control in him, which makes him extremely unpredictable and dangerous.

It doesn’t mean he doesn’t value things like arts and creativity. In order to be so skilled at strategizing, Jin Sakai needs to be capable of approaching things from a creative way of thinking. He also enjoys being able to analyze the details and assess the situation with a different perspective. This unique perspective is another reason why he can be so helpful to those around them, since he can often see things from a new perspective which helps people find a more beneficial solution.

:D!! Get ready cuz i’m about to talk wayyyy too much.

I like to think that this chapter is the turning point that is necessary for Nkiru to (1) wholeheartedly surrender herself to the will of the gods and (2) be at peace with Erik’s mistakes, even those that affect her. I wanted to make sure that the audience knew that the protag is well aware that Erik is full of evil and is resistant to forgiving him but is slowly inching towards a willingness to be part of his rehabilitation. In this way, she is also leaning into this assigned-at-birth role of healer and priestess which she never took seriously. 

Of course, I want to be wary of the trope of ‘good girl fixes bad guy’ and want to make sure that Erik completely earns his rehabilitation and works on himself (that will be explored in future chapters).

The opening scene touches on the idea of mercy. The same way Erik had mercy for her (although he really was just fixing his own mess), she helps to pay back that same mercy. The irony is that just as she is a tool for Bast, she is also a tool for T’Challa to enact this mercy. She only superficially has her own agency. 

The next scene, the orchard scene, is to briefly touch on the aftermath of this war. I didn’t think the movie addressed the fact that even though T’Challa is reinstated, people’s lives were fundamentally thrown upside down. In fact, the big battle at the end might have even a worse impact than Erik’s coronation because (at least in my interpretation) Erik’s military actions were still in the planning phase, with few alterations of quotidian lifestyle. However when T’Challa comes back, a sort of mini civil war ensues. As a side note, I do want to do some more world-building in the future (especially one that tackles the ethics of having a complete monarchy) but as of now, my writing skills are limited so I can’t exactly do it justice. (I did think some of this was well done in @muse-of-mbaku‘s Until the Quiet Comes series)

In terms of the orchard scene, my goal was to express that despite her having put Zuri to rest in her mind, she aims to exemplify him even in the smallest ways. She also is in a way traumatized by how much these events seem to involve her and goes to the orchard to find peace. However, T’Challa unintentionally disturbs her peace and it will be increasingly apparent that, while he isn’t necessarily an antagonist, he isn’t the pure-hearted and fair soul everyone assumes he is. He’s in the royal seat, and has to make decisions for better or for worse. T’Challa also is someone who is used to being in complete control of the country, and of people’s hearts, and his reaction to losing that grip may not be so graceful. T’Challa suspects she has something between love and loyalty for Erik but the truth is that Nkiru is truly not there yet. Sis is really just confused lol.

For the reason, communication is so important for her and for Erik. Erik is hunger striking while in prison but he is really more love-starved, touch-starved and conversation-starved. Most of it is self-inflicted once he grows up because he convinces himself it’s safer to be this way, but in childhood I imagine him to have been a child who was used to touch and hugs and kisses and stories before all of that was taken away. When they both end up in the dream state together, Nkiru decides to follow him instead of running the other way, meaning she has developed some hesitant affection for him.  She acknowledges that they are connected. 

As they progress through the dream state, they become less and less inhibited but also less and less themselves. Truly at this last part I wanted to depict them being pawns in something greater than themselves, but willingly so. Again, a sense of surrender. 

Or maybe it’s all just verbal diarrhea idk

This was bad, really-- really bad.

They were miles from camp, and the weather had taken a turn for the worse. While he could stand the cold, his companion certainly could not. A stallion no older than 18, that still had a lot of life left to live. He hadn't known the youngster for long, but had admired his dedication. This was suppose to be a safe sample retrieval. Just go to the site located on the side of the mountain, and come back down. The weather was suppose to remain clear-- but it had taken a sudden turn. Pegasi overhead were trying to get it under control, but it would take awhile.

During this point in time, Gale had been working as a doctor. He'd been within this small research oriented city for awhile now, and had to put quite a few grey hairs in his mane and pelt to make it believable.

"We-- we have t-to turn back!" He called through the howling wind, as he braced against the snow to try and catch up with the unicorn. "Com'on kiddo-- you won't be able to impress them i-if your frozen solid!" Yet the younger unicorn continued to push forward, eliciting an annoyed tone to enter his voice-- borderline anger. Trudging on faster in the snow-- he finally caught up to him. "Didn't you hear me--!? We need to--" His voice died both as he got a reply, and as he saw the condition the other was in.

"I know! I'm going that way! Can't you see that old man!?" Even though he was yelling, his voice sounded weak. Out of breath, and struggling to take more. His snout was limbs were red-- only just starting to turn blue.

The kid was freezing as he went. He couldn't see anymore-- but had kept going. He probably assumed all the white in his vision was snow...Grinding his teeth, Gale made a decision. They were going back, and they were going back now.

The tell-tale cracks started up his body-- energy stretching and converting into a from he rarely took these days. While the boy was blinded now, he could still see light-- especially as it contrasted, nearby at that, with the dim, light absorbing snow. He cried out, as the clawed hand enclosed around him. A firm hold, but not one that would bring more harm.

"M-Mr. Mystral?!? Where-- where are you-- I-I-" His heart ached, as he called the name he'd taken at the time. A mix of his own, with the meaning more suited to the chilled wind.

"I-I am with you." A byproduct of this form, was that his vocal cords were longer. More booming, despite how the voice remained the same. "I-I understand your panic-- but rest assured everything is going to be alright." Gale would take him back to the little city, and bring him directly to the infirmary. However he wasn't delusional. He knew what would happen once he was spotted. Well... at least this kid would be alright. Least they couldn't see him through the snow, in the air.

... He should have known, when the kid stopped responding. He'd been so focused on getting back, on getting help-- that he hadn't paid enough attention to whom he was helping. The sting of the snow on his fur and wings made it even harder to focus.

The reaction he got upon his landing, was pretty much what he'd expected. Screams. Calls for help. Although they all might as well have been background static-- as horrified eyes realized there was no life left to save.

He of course started chest compressions, but that only made him look worse. Like he was trying to finish him off. Spears, arrows, whatever they had-- they started throwing at him. Stabbing him. Eventually, he was forced to flee-- the pain intermixing with the guilt-- and he didn't know what were from which. His heart, or his wounds?
