Thinking about destiny 2 dzhiya too while digging through my refs, and this project i sketched up ages ago and haven't quite finished up. Since I never played Destiny 1, I go with the idea that Dzhiya is actually Young Wolf the 2nd - with the first one having mentored her up until the Red War and perished in the fight with Ghaul. Dzhiya managed to slay him and take up her mantle, and is constantly battling imposter syndrome and a crippling fear of a Final Death. Having woken up and arrived at the Last City before Ghaul arrived meant that a lot of people she knew died when they captured the light and... oof, she's got a LOT of issues.

It's a shame that the vanguard never invests in therapists because BOI DOES SHE NEED ONE.

Each of the banners represent different milestones, with the first row reflecting the Young Wolf the 1st's forays into the Black Garden and fighting Oryx, with some small bits of Dzhiya being revived and being taken under her wing, before Ghaul came and killed her mentor. Everything after that was more major milestones that Dzhiya participated in, and at about the beyond light stage, I began making banners per season.

I should add more banners to reflect the seasons since Splicer, tbh
