1.) seeing the texts & posts i sent while i was drunk off my ass last weekend. like i knew i was an affectionate drunk but i sent SO many people stuff this time and it’s honestly rly cute of me. and idk i feel nice abt the way that, when my inhibitions were severely lowered, my default was to tell a bunch of ppl how great they were and that i loved them. and coming from how unaffectionate and misanthropic i was just a few years ago, it makes me happy to see that i’ve changed in that regard and appreciate people more yknow?

2.) my suitcase. weird ik but hear me out okay. last summer my old suitcase literally broke down in the middle of the road while i was abroad. but i managed to buy a new one completely unplanned! it’s a happy memory cause i did the transaction completely in german and also it just so happened that the store had one piece left in one of my favorite colors which matches my phone <3

3.) realizing i can actually understand a good chunk of some german media now. it makes me feel very accomplished and it’s like! a more tangible sign of my progress in learning :)

neilcfreak hasn't been seen in the fandom in a *long* time, so kind of fucking weird and obvious that nalyra gets a bait ask (which she knows is a bait ask) saying it *must* be bullying that caused it and listing every way neil was a good person. where tf has neilcfreak been much in the last year? besides a few months ago when she was trying to cover up for white fandom. nobody cares about u girl, nobody is rly sending these asks about u except ur own friends (or u lol).

last year, ao3 was getting called out for never following up with their promises made in the wake of BLM 2020 to better protect users against racist harassment. neil and a black user commented on the same post, the black user replying to neil's comment u can see above of "if u don't like it make ur own site lol."

this white user (futureevilscientist) then random af pulled the asks out and tagged the black user at the start of the post to talk all this shit AT them fsr?

then later, neil shows up herself.

this is the part u cannot *cannot* say is not racist. neil is directly replying to a reblog of *someone else's main post* and placing full blame for a "call out post" on the *black* user.

she then pulls out her white jewish shit to speak over the main topic, which is racism / antiblackness.

playing oppression olympics can be done by any marginalized group but it usually works the best for white ppl because white ppl get the most sympathy when doing this (u want the most shining example, how often are we talking about white gay oppression in this fandom above racism / antiblackness, which is the *actual theme* of the show...or even gay oppression through a black pov, since u see louis experience that constantly. how much are we told that this show is rly about white gays and nothing else?). ppl assume whiteness is more innocent by default so will pile more on a black user for "being aggressive" towards a *white* jewish user without needing any proof. that's what neil was counting on here. she also then had a bizarre, loud breakdown on her account for extra assurance she'd be seen as "the real victim" (for making a stupidly racist comment in public). ohh yeah weaponize those white tears girl. she then "quit" tumblr for a while and when she came back, as mentioned in the linked post above, she had to again mention "drama" for good measure. "remember how I was bullied off this site u guys :("

white fandom was all over her dramatic distraction posts btw (nalyra commented on them too, so she is v aware this happened). v few people reached out to the black user or cared about the shit they were dealing with.

these white fandom ppl *never* have any receipts of bullying either, they just *say* it happens and flock to give hugs so it looks like lots of support is happening for a real "issue." but it's not real. everything they do is meant to manipulate u. this nalyra ask is still doing that.

when ur told what to think about someone or u can't find evidence of things happening beyond what anyone, even a group of ppl, *tells u* is happening then u need to rly remain suspicious of the reality of it.

these are asks that the black user got after this stuff happened. so now we've created a new issue from nothing and we're not talking about racism or how ur bullying a black user over literally nothing anymore. now it's suddenly all about poor neilcfreak and her white jewish identity and victimhood from a big, bad black fan. she's gotta make this all make her look like the real victim to cover up how embarrassed and stupid she felt for being called out on saying racist shit.

so when you look at a post on your dashboard, or perhaps in the like blog-specific view that looks like the dashboard, there's that bit at the top that says current-blog [reblog symbol] other-blog, where other-blog is the one that current-blog (the one you're looking at) reblogged the post from. and it USED TO BE that when you clicked on the url other-blog, it would take you to this specific post on that other blog.

but no longer. staff recently pushed a change so that now when you click on the url of other-blog, it'll just take you to the top of other-blog, not to this specific post at all.

personally this pissed me off, because I like to follow reblog chains sometimes, especially of my own posts – it's neat to see what mutual spread the post so far and wide! or sometimes I come across a post reblogged from a friend, and I want to see what my friend said! or when someone reblogs something off my blog from a while ago, sometimes I wonder what it was I said on that post, so very long ago, and I want to go back and see what my tags were! but no, now we can't do that anymore.

and in case you're new here, explanation of what 'prev tags' means: a little while ago a trend arose of tagging a reblog 'prev tags' to mean "I liked the tags of the person I reblogged this from", instead of copying those tags onto the reblog itself. anyone who wanted to see those tags you liked would just click back in the reblog chain. only now you can't do that, bc staff took out that functionality.

it may surprise you to know I really disliked the prev tags trend :P tumblr blogs disappear or change urls all the time, or sometimes people delete posts, and then poof! the previous tags are gone! can't find them, can't see them, they'll forever be a mystery! plus I don't want to be constantly following reblog chains, I want to follow them when I'm actually interested. there's no need for this prev tags business, just copy the tags onto the reblog if you like them! (or into your own tags, which is also perfectly fine and friendly so long as you indicate that's what you're doing.) that's what we do here!

I say 'disliked' past tense bc I did see a few people say "prev tags isn't for ppl reading my blog, it's for the person I reblogged from, I am sending them a little kiss" and you know what I respect that. that's a conversation between two people, that's you two hanging out, that's chill. so these days I assume, for my own happiness, that that's what everyone intends when they say 'prev tags'. it's possible they don't always mean that, but I am assuming it, for me.

-Oh it's definitely Ainley!Master's fault the Doctor's regenerations became weirder. Yeah after what he did to Fivey he just messed them up. Like Fivey's legs. Hey, if the Master is having trouble being in a Trakenite body it's only fair, right?

-He invited him to lunch and they conversed. The Master finds this Doctor kind of endearing in a way, he's the closest he has to things being alright between them anyways. Just some quiet conversations, no mention of the Master or Gallifrey. No murder intent, they just were. Two "strangers" sharing lunch having candid intellectual conversations.

-Eventually, he stopped. Why? I leave that to your imagination.

24. Talk abt your fan Doctor and Master incarnations

OKOK IM GLAD YOU ASKED... So I met this classmate who's a dw fan and as we became friends he told me he had his own fan Doctor incarnation. Eventually we started LARPing for fun and I made my own Master, then we started making up tons of stories and that's how they came to be!

ONE DAY HOWEVER... He said. What if the Master and the Doctor were bigenerated?? Yeah from the same entity but the Time Lords erased their memories. And Dhawan!Master knew this but that one bit he never told, the Doctor never uncovered it, and this is part of why Dhawan wanted to become the Doctor. And boy this broke my heart because thE IMPLICATIONS. That'd mean the Master is ALSO the Timeless Child. So now that's canon for my Master and surprise, it's been selfcest all this time except not exactly because they are not the same anymore and they can never be.

So based off that, my Master loves to make a point on how different they are whilst his Doctor searches for similarities instead when he learns this. My Master is convinced that they're destined to be the worst parts of the Doctor forever, whilst the Doctor got "the better part". So why would they make it easy for him? besides drag race us and all stars, what are your other favourite drag race series?

hello! ooh well my favourite seasons of any drag race franchise (including us) are españa season 1 and uk 2!! i dont think anything will ever top españa s1 for me if i'm being honest, considering it was the first season of that franchise too it was such amazing quality there wasn't much to be improved upon for the next season

i also really enjoyed drag race philippines and france; great queens, great hosts and some great looks!!!! they were the franchises i wanted the most and they exceeded my expectations for sure

ive got like 12 frames of the inktober challenge from last year... in the style of posting 5 at a time, theyve all been sketched out and like half are i think finished. obviously october went long and at some point it just felt weird to post them even if i finished them. i sort of decided if i finish them up early autumn i could get away w posting them for beginning of october while i had a try at the new inktober? idk why i like a challenge to force me to draw more than i do in a year. and then it takes me a year lol. i have a set of 5 that are all inspired by fic, and like. i still like the idea of them. unfortunately? some of the references were old..  A YEAR AGO. sure theres like, the appreciation for vintage and telling ppl we like their work ages on. but i worry the authors no longer are in the fandom or want to be reminded of their work? etc etc. some of them are meh, some i like.

ngl i am especailly happy w my oct 31 post, which i really wish id finished on time for last year. heres to seeing if i post it this year? maybe i’ll finish what i want to finish of them (theres like. 2 im just really not inspired for and never was) and then have a wee collage of them to post, w the oct 31 prompt seperate, as a sort of. hey wip clear out! these are the stragglers from last year :))

maybe ill post original art one day when i get drawn enough to finish one.

i could pick up an wip to finish now, ive got a good few candidates. but i think i should best just, shake off the cobwebs on smth new so i dont feel like im ruining it. it might be a rey or a leia or other star wars heroine portrait. it might be grogu bc hes an already ugly gremlin. it might be something else. i might be talking a high load of shit bc its 3 am again and i should go sleep rather than push myself in delirium. odds are tomorrow im exhausted again, feel like i should do things that actually benefit me in my life and address responsibilites, and shut down under the weight of the thought of it and not do anything until i go crazy at night again? time will tell but rn im stuck in that loop.

I started this thing two years ago in my personal blog and mainly for myself but now I wanted to expand it a little bit. ;)

And what´s this? Well, a 31 prompts challenge that will run through all October but, for gifmakers only!

You can take this as just a guide to make a new simple basic gifset or one as elaborate as you like/can, we all know how much time a gifset can take . So, that´s up to you!

IMPORTANT: You don´t need to make all 31. You can make as much and as few as you want. And not exactly in order nor you have to post on time. Also the prompts are completely up to your interpretation. And if you want to combine prompts in one set, that´s ok too.

NOW, you can take this list, run with it and do it on your own with your own rules, and that´s fine. I made this for ppl to have fun creating!

However, if you want to make it and also share your posts with this blog, I will kindly ask you to follow a few rules:

A Mistranslation in Neo Twewy’s Secret Reports

To preface- This is NOT a post depreciating the localization choices in NTWEWY. I think the localization is basically good and the flaws it does have aren’t what’s being discussed here.

So i had been hearing a lot of slightly conflicting information about the translation of Neo’s very first secret report. It states that Joshua and Kubo played a game that caused Shinjuku’s destruction, which is something that basically everybody raised their eyebrows over? Lot’s of questions about how that would make sense for Joshua’s character or Shinjuku as a plot point- to the point that people assumed it was some sort of error. If or How it’s an error, though, I was not able to find a comprehensive answer to. Seeing different takes from people without much explanation was confusing, so even though I don’t speak japanese, I had to go take a look myself.

(I’m also making this a post so that maybe this could be something people could easily refer to and discuss on, amongst all that. I’m also still somewhat unsure if i’ve got it right so i’d appreciate it if anyone who knows the language better decided to pitch in. In fact, @gramoturtle, i hope you don’t mind me in ur mentions since im pretty sure u can check better than me)

So here’s what is says in English:

“The Executor first intruded on Shibuya three years ago. Originally from Shinjuku, this Angel started a clandestine Game with Shibuya’s Composer, which ultimately led to Shinjuku’s destruction.” -NTWEWY Secret Report 1, Paragraph 3

And here is what is says originally:

3年前、渋谷にある人物が侵入した。渋谷エリアのコンポーザーとの間で秘密裏にゲームを開始した、新宿エリアの天使であり崩壊を導いた「執行人」である。-NTWEWY Secret Report 1, Paragraph 3 (in japanese)

When you run the above few sentences through google or deepL, it does NOT result in anything intrinsically saying that a game between the two caused Shinjuku’s destruction:

Now translators are unavoidably imperfect and these translations seemed like they had their own issues, but I found it telling enough that neither of them talked about a game destroying Shinjuku that I knew it would be worth it to at least try to pick it apart manually.

The result of that attempt is this XD...

So. I did that. And I stared at it for a long time. And I kept staring because as far as I know, if it were saying Shinjuku’s destruction was connected to a game between Kubo and Joshua there should be a particle relating those ideas. I couldn’t see one there that would serve that. Hell, after looking at it too long i realized that probably if those ideas were related causally they wouldn’t be separated by a comma here?

If my reading is correct then that means it’s not saying “Joshua and Kubo played a game that destroyed Shinjuku” but instead “Kubo started a game with Joshua AND Kubo destroyed Shinjuku.” A more accurate english translation might be:

[Three years ago, a certain person invaded Shibuya. It was the one who secretly started a game with the Composer of Shibuya- an angel of Shinjuku’s who led it’s destruction- the “Executor”.]

I think that might be close enough to the original text while imparting the same information. And thats crazy, if correct. That means that the official english translation accidentally invented a whole impression-changing event in the form of another Random game scenario 3 years ago in this story’s timeline. In the first secret report!!

That creates a pretty severe AND FAR SPREAD misunderstanding about the plot, so reblogs to inform ppl (or find someone to check my work) would be appreciated!
