💎 - What’s a WIP idea you’ve really enjoyed writing?

I mean, the obvious answer is of course Let Our Hearts, Like Doors, Open Wide! Because kid fic really is my favorite trope ever, so I just love writing that fic. But I've also started a new WIP idea, and even just outlining has been fun and has me excited, so maybe that one could take over that number one spot 👀

🍧 - Choose an aesthetic to describe [Mellie] as

So in my head, I always imagined Mellie as somewhere between cottagecore and fairycore for her aesthetic. Lots of florals. Lots of bright colors. Dresses. Large, soft worn sweaters in winter. Lots of flower and butterfly hair clips or bright colored bows even when Nesta braids it for her. I just always felt that matched her personality well. She's a very happy child and thanks to her love of books, also a bit of a daydreamer 🥰

gojo satoru stares, unblinking. you stare back, unblinking.

his shades slip down his nose and he is still solitary, making no move to fix them.

this was...not how this was supposed to go.

hachiko square is full of a crowd of bustling bodies. half the people are too focused on their final destination or too aware of the time to pay mind to what's going on, and the other half are crowded around the both of you, gawking.

just as gojo is gawking down at you kneeling in front of him.

"not that this isn't how you treat a god,"—your eye twitches—"but what are you doing?"

he is referring, of course, to the ring box in your hands.

you raise an eyebrow, having to crane your head all the way up to match his six foot three figure.

"proposing, obviously."

gojo squawks, "it was not obvious!" he crosses his arms and turns away from you, tone of voice petulant, "i say no."

the crows gasps around you, all of them collectively turning to you.

gojo hears shoes on pavement, and then, "alright, i'm walking away."

gojo swivels back around so fast it gives the crowd whiplash.

"no!"

"i've just been rejected, satoru, i think i deserve some time to myself." you say drily, making to leave.

"when i said no, i meant no to your proposal, not marrying you!"

"isn't it the same thing?"

gojo drags your name out and you turn around.

he whips out the box with the ring he had carefully picked out (the gem was the colour of his eyes) and the crowd gasps louder, heads swivelling back and forth between him and you.

you blink, gaze flitting between his own and the box nestled in his palm.

"you totally stole my line?!"

you slap a hand to your forehead, "you can’t turn down my proposal just because you wanted to ask me first!”

"i can and i just did; i'm gojo satoru." he shrugs, then walks closer to demand you put your box down so he can do this properly.

the crowd has started laughing, and your lips are pulling into a smile even as you slap a stinging hand onto his shoulder.

"you are a piece of work."

"that's not what you say in bed."

you kick his shin (his limitless was deactivated for this moment) and the great gojo satoru buckles to his knees involuntarily.

"that's how you kneel to a god." you say, laughing and gojo can't help but let a smile lift his cheeks even as he says, "you're totally still ruining this moment, what are we going to tell the kids?"

you pop open the ring box and he slides the ring onto your finger and you bow over him as the crowd claps.

"we're going to tell them i proposed first, of course."

"it doesn't count if i turned it down."

"maybe i should just divorce you."

"we aren't even married yet!"
