i just realized i never posted my little Sea Glass Jar! i had promised i would last stream. i forgor <3

Sea Glass! its a permanent fixture of my trinket shelf #i hope to add to it! someday!#photos from the bog #it was a lot of fun hunting for the pieces #it was a bit like russian roulette!#i didnt know which ones would be sharp until i picked them up!#that was a good beach walk #i also found what is Very likely a shard of whale bone #which is also a permanent fixture of my shelf!

Watched the MLB movie and I just. I WANT to gush about it but the fact that Marinette’s regular voice actor and her singing voice actor sound SO different just took me out of it every time and left me feeling very disengaged;; At least Adrien’s singing voice kind of sounds like his speaking voice (and Gabriel’s is 👌 bc my king Keith Silverstein can actually sing and he can sing REALLY fucking well) but Marinette’s. The voices are COMPLETELY different and it threw me off every single time. Like obviously her singing voice is really good and I understand why they picked that person to do her songs but bro you could have at least TRIED to get someone that sounds similar to Cristina Vee. It drove me nuts every time she sang bc I was like “That is CLEARLY a different person entirely!!”

I’m realizing this might have been a dubbing issue but still 😭 I feel like I would have enjoyed the movie way more if it didn’t look like Marinette was lip syncing the entire time bc there was such a huge disconnect between her speaking and singing voice

#Also I can’t fucking believe they did that to my boy Plagg. They RUINED him #He did not deserve that #Miraculous Ladybug #MLB #MLB movie #ALSO. Also. Personally. I don’t think it needed to be a musical #Bc that was very jarring in itself I was not expecting it #Since Miraculous isn’t a musical normally anyway!!#They probably could have fit in a lot more plot and made the story flow better if they took out all the songs #And replaced them with actual character development and stuff.#Idk it just feels like they tried to make it like a Disney film. And it didn’t quite fit with the story #I WILL say tho the character models were top notch. Marinette with FRECKLES?? YES PLEASE #Anyway yeah lots of thoughts but I could not take it seriously bc of the awkward voice casting #It actually ruined a lot of the movie for me :’( Again it drove me nuts lmao #Shima speaks #Idk maybe I'll watch it in French next time. Maybe I'll like it better then lol

I was looking for Lockwood and Co FanFiction the last few nights because I’m starved and was disappointed to find it’s mostly Locklyle stuff. I have no problem with the ship but godddd such a rich, complicated world needs non shipping fics.

And my best dude, Skull is only a weird side character and doesn’t get the spotlight he deserves. There’s so much that can be done with his character and I have so many ideas.

Basically I’m quickly reaching the ‘if I don’t fjnd the content I need soon I’m gonna roll up my shirt sleeves and make it myself’

when y’all do dialogue do you just base line write the quotes and THEN later on add extra info? 🤔 also damn how do people Overall write their paragraphs so well

#i wanna avoid he said she said he laughed she smiled as much as possible #like i wanna SHOW not tell #i think i need to maybe write the dialogue/who’s saying it and THEN later circle back and expand #but also omfg writing dialogue is kinda tough cuz i don’t wanna make it cheesy/prose-y #i wanna make it Two Idiots Talking who are playfully teasing and sooooo stupidly in love #also i think my fic has duo-pov interspersed in it… hopefully it’s not too jarring?#ALSO. even w non-dialogue scenes (just normal paragraphs) i wanna make it engaging + have the show not tell feel #thank you to literally every tumblr writing blog bc there’s literal blogs DEDICATED to answering these questions #but also not every question i have i can find the answer 😭#anyways just a self-rant :3 this is all me learning how to write fiction anyways but i’m having a blast!!!!#i like learning abt this stuff properly i think it’ll help me by doing more research!#hopefully this sugu fic will be out within this upcoming week :D #personal

So we're all familiar with the tactic of "I don't want to do this task so I will do it as poorly as possible so someone else does it."

I feel like a member of my team has just done "I don't want to delegate this task so I will delegate it as poorly as possible so I wind up having to do it."

For an added layer of perversity, she definitely wants someone else to do the task; I think she's just so unused to delegating that, finally surrendering to the necessity of it after years, she's done a wretched job of giving us the tools or explanations we need to do the task she's asked us to do for her.

#always jarring to realize other people are capable of as much or more disorganization as I am #I mean I checked and the problem didn't lie with me I genuinely did not receive information/do not have access to the stuff we need

I’m such a culinary genius I just pickled some radish and I didn’t even look up a recipe . well I looked up how to pickle stuff but I didn’t look at any measurements 💪💪💪💪

#i think it needed more sugar in the jar and I probably could have added some water with the vinegar but #I’m just happy I hashtag did that #but now I have so much stuff I was making and have to eat jt all. the hummus from this weekend I will make into pasta sauce tomorrow I think #and then my mom gave me some Brussel sprouts that are going bad so I have to Cooke those up too #gwon

#should i tag this dollblr. would that make people less confused about the eyelash vial. or the eyeball jar #dollblr #actually i dont keep my eyes in jars i have em in awkward little baggies #the homemade glass cabochon ones in one and the professionally made acrylic and glass ones in another #my eyeball baggies. is that better or worse than the eyeball jar #im reorganizing all my stuff so like craft supplies and eletronic cables and whatever #and i had some package of really cheap ass fake eyelashes that i thought about using in a faceup #(never actually got around to using em LOL someday i'll try out eyelashes on faceups but rn ive been much more on the like)#(cartoony and simplified end of doll face painting so i havent felt much need for em)#(especially because im partial to anime style dolls)#and the packaging was really bulky to yknow keep the eyelashes pristine. but these were REALLY really cheap lashes so they were just like #by default slightly wonky. which doesnt matter too much to me because they would only be used for dolls or art anyway so they dont need to #like. keep the perfect human eye shape LOL so i was trying to figure out how to store em without taking up too much space #and i remembered all my vials for fountain pen ink and well. the rest is history. the rest is the eyelash vial #now time to put this deep in a drawer unlabeled to forget about and then give myself a jumpscare about mysterious vial years later

this started as an incoherent rant in the server but now I'm obsessed so have a Wereshifer Miles AU one-shot (tl;dr: Edgeworth shrinks to about 6 inches every time the sun goes down)

set after the timeskip in AA5. Edgeworth and Wright live together. Edgeworth's nightly shrinking is part of their routine at this point.

the part with Phoenix getting back on the couch and talking about how Miles makes him feel is a bit that @callie-flower came up with in the server and I really wanted to use that ahh ;;;

They were sitting on the couch after work. It was a nice day, with the late evening sun still filling the room with a golden glow. In the back, a record player was playing a slow, soothing album.

Suddenly, Phoenix shot up. He looked at Edgeworth with eager eyes.

"Wright, what is-"

"Dance with me."

"W...Now? The sun is almost down, I don't think- h-hey!"

Before Edgeworth could say more, Phoenix pulled him from the couch.

"Just for a bit. Come on, we rarely do this."

Edgeworth stared at Phoenix for a few seconds before smiling and complying to his request.

"Alright, just for a bit then."

They held each other and slow-danced to the music playing in the room for a few minutes, relishing the closeness of the other.

"...Phoenix, it's time, we should st-"

But Phoenix pulled Edgeworth closer, locking eyes with him.

"Phoe- please I'm already losing height."

"Just a little more, Miles."

Edgeworth was making a second attempt to get back to sitting down in a safer spot. But Phoenix wasn't about to let go.

Then it clicked.

"Oh."

Edgeworth relaxed. They kept dancing, although Phoenix had to adjust the way he held his partner as he slowly shrunk down. Phoenix realised it must have looked somewhat silly, but he didn't care.

Within a minute, Edgeworth was too small to even hold Phoenix in his arms. Yet Phoenix was not ready to let go. He picked Edgeworth up the moment he was small enough. Edgeworth looked at him with surprised eyes. He lost the last few inches of his height whilst being held in Phoenix's hands, who had never held Edgeworth while he shrunk before. The experience took them both a little aback.

"I could hold you like this forever, you know." Phoenix said, breaking a short silence.

Edgeworth wasn't sure what to say. He adjusted his position to lay more stable in Phoenix's hands. Then he looked up. Their eyes locked again and Edgeworth took in the sight of Phoenix's face so up close.

He let out a sigh. "Your freckles are exceptionally visible from here." he said half seriously, to break the awkward tension he felt.

Phoenix's heart skipped a beat. Now he was the one who was at a loss of words. He'd held Edgeworth before at nights, but that was mostly to help him get around the house. The sight of his partner laying down in his hands. So small and fragile. And Miles literally trusted him with his whole life in this moment.

Eventually he managed to utter: "God, I want to kiss you so badly right now."

"You- What now?"

"... please?"

Again, Edgeworth was unsure what to say. What was Phoenix thinking? This was one of the worst moments for Phoenix to play the romantic fool.

Wasn't it?

...

Edgeworth smiled.

"Okay."

"Wait really?"

He stood up in Phoenix's palms and nodded. "Really."

Phoenix didn't wait until Edgeworth could change his mind. He brought his hands closer to his face as gently as possible. His lips covered Edgeworth's entire face, and Edgeworth tried his best not to fall over. To keep his balance, he wrapped his arms around Phoenix's cheeks, and kissed him back as well as he could despite his size.

Phoenix gently drew back his hands, which made Edgeworth fall over on his palms. As he laid there, staring at Phoenix, he smiled.

"The song stopped playing already, you know."

"I don't care." As Phoenix said that, he cupped Edgeworth against his chest and moved to music that was not longer playing. Edgeworth listened to Phoenix's heartbeat and relaxed.

When Phoenix was done, he fell back on the couch, keeping Edgeworth close to his chest.

"Do you hear that Miles? This is how you make me feel all the time."

Edgeworth moved to lay on his back on Phoenix's chest and let out a heavy sigh. He never thought of shrinking every night as anything positive. It was always a burden to him, and now he often felt like a burden to Phoenix. Being showered in affection like this felt...good.

Really good.

Maybe this wasn't so bad after all.

They sat like this for a while, both contemplating what just happened, until one of them spoke up:

"We could do this more often."
