CHARACTER OF THE DAY: ZIP-ZAP
Best friend. Number one fan. Unluckiest man in the Agency.
“I just want to be part of building a world where people smile more.”
Formerly the hero Zip-Zap and now just the support team lead Zack. He was one of the first young heroes on the scene, in those earliest days where the line between officially-sanctioned superhero and vigilante was hazy at best. He became popular with the public throughout his teen years, and was finally accepted into the Agency’s fledgling development program. When Asphodel, the very hero who had given him the highlighter yellow hoodie he wore, whose footsteps he’d followed so closely, took him on as her sidekick, it seemed like Zip-Zap’s ascent was unstoppable.
Until Asphodel defected. Until Asphodel maimed him live on Twitch in front of 5 million people. Until his career as a hero was ended in approximately five minutes and thirty seconds.
 ZAP AND SPEEDY
“It’s okay, Speedy, i’ve got you.”
It was probably natural that Zip-Zap and Speedster would gravitate toward another. They were both young children when superpowers first emerged. They were both speed-type heroes. They were both inextricably tied to the first generations of superheroes.
They’ve traversed the business hand-in-hand since Speedster’s first day at the Agency. It seemed like they would never part.
So Speedster probably should have expected him to tear through the city’s surveillance network to find her when she went silent.
-
Here’s a really rough and unrevised look at the two of them for any interested parties.

here's the general history i got going on with jeremy! i largely incorporate my take on jman with the timeline of events laid out by the youtube channel GiBi (Good Idea, Bad Idea) about the games just before the current era of games w the pizzaplex. check it out here! warning for brief pet death mentioned and, well, all the usual child death fnaf such n such.
in the timeline, there's mention of suicide, as well as method—plus a description of traumatic brain injury.
youtube
× he is, to me, the friend of mike afton's wearing the bonnie mask during the bite of '83, so he's around mike's age (i pin him at 15! born 1968!)
× he works at the second, shortlived freddy fazbear's pizzeria location in november of '87, age 19. yeah... mangle bit his head. :(.
× mike disappeared from his life shortly before this, so for all he knew, mike was a victim of the second round of disappearances stirring their community up. Double :(.
× always had an interest in robotics and animatronics, his job at the second freddys was what HE thought could be the first step to a seasoned career
× obviously this. Doesn't work out. he spends ten years recovering from this injury, and even then, not all faculties return.
× BUT! during recovery, he got another interest in art! after deemed well enough to work, he worked with mechanics, and took up graphic design contracts along the way.
× 2012, age 44, he has a daughter, who i believe is cassie! yay!
× 2014, age 46, jeremy's cousin has the idea for fazbear frights, a local haunt. the two of them venture to collect as much memorabillia as possible, with jeremy hoping that he could find some closure and happiness in his traumatic injury. he works in graphic design, promoting the haunt with posters and such.
× mike and him meet again when mike applies for night guard, though jeremy only meets him in passing. his cousin is phone dude. radical.
× welp. fazbear frights burns down just a week before opening. that's another bust.
× henry emily starts work on his trap for william, circus baby, molten freddy, and charlie, as well as the rest of the poor souls caught up in this mess. by happenstance, jeremy picks up a freelance job promoting the franchising program through infographics and slideshows, like the intro to pizzeria simulator.
× the restaurant that mike manages burns up five days into operation. jeremy only found out about his estranged friend posthumously.
× jeremy has long moved on to work as a game designer and tester for silver parasol games, who had been contracted to create the freddy fazbear virtual experience before being handed off to another studio because of his attempted suicide by guillotine paper cutter from an entity's influence, namely, glitchtrap.
× while fazbear entertainment itself is null, the corporate machine churns on, someone unknown creating the fazbear entertainment llc. this is in 2016. jeremy is 48.
(this point of the timeline i haven't fully sussed out yet, but dw about it. LMAO. liable to change later.)
× this incident deems him unfit to care for cassie by the court of law. custody is given to his extended family, though they have outings every month. it breaks his heart.
× the pizzaplex is built in 2017, and jeremy, age 48, is brought on as a staff member for the first few years. cassie got to enjoy a lot of rides and games before they hit market or were rejected—every birthday, and every monthly outing, they got to go to the pizzaplex together.
× 2023. jeremy, age 54, out of a job thanks to the staffbots, hears of the sinkhole that destroyed the pizzaplex, and of the old pizzeria that lay beneath. in another attempt at closure, and experience with the pizzaplex's horrors, he heads for the pizzaplex one day to finally put a stop to it. he gets absorbed in the simulation and the staffbot collective, but manages to help vanessa delete glitchtrap before leaving his daughter a VANNI mask to help her against the dangers of the facility.

PRINCIPLE-FIRST
Powerful people are busy.
(They might not remember what they asked you to do.)
Use this outline:
Here's what you asked me to do
Here's what I did
Here are the risks/blockers (if any)
If given more time, I'd do this
Simple, but advanced advice.
Let's dive into why this works so well.
SUPERHUMAN SCORING
Get to know the evaluation system.
Impact (8.0/10)
The 4-Bullet Status:
Effective for communicating? Yes.
Signals your leadership ability? Definitely.
Here's how:
Setup (8.5/10)
Before your next status update, spend a few minutes jotting down your thoughts per the 4-bullet framework.
You can write this down in a physical or digital notebook.
I prefer digital (Evernote), as I find it's easier to reference for future updates.
Maintenance (7.5/10)
The childhood lesson that has had the greatest impact on me, imparted by my Dad:
“Action cures fear.”
Taking action—through preparation—goes a long way in feeling more confident.
But even if you get caught off guard (and need to give an impromptu update), it'll be reassuring to know you have this outline to fall back on.
BRINGING IT HOME
Use the 4-Bullet Status to manage up, laterally, or down.
The likely result?

What horror films would you recommend to someone who hasn't watched much horror at all? I'd like to be scared, but I don't want to watch a movie that just blood-guts-jumpscares. Horror movies with gay subtext?
oooooo okay okay let me give you a few!!!
- it 2017 & 2019: gay little found family movies !!! got me into horror!!!!! its true that it ch2 is not very good but yes it is it isnt. not super scary (imo) but i think generally good horror movies
- reanimator (& bride of reanimator): more gory but not JUST that. extremely gay. simply a must altho there is a sexual assault in the first one to be aware of
- nightmare on elm street!!! and nightmare on elm street two: the first one is just soooo good imo very fun and just like. i love nancy. and the second one is one of if not the gayest horror movies ever, so i highly recommend it. you really dont HAVE to watch the first one first if you dont want to but i think you should
- raw: fucked upppp it fucked me up. not really gay but it is extremely good and different from like. everything else on this list to me.
- the perfection: very good but Very what the fuck. warning for sexual assault/abuse on this one as well. this movie is wlw so thats fun!
- cabin in the woods & scream: lumping these together because i think theyre similarly good intro to horror type of movies, although scream has what cabin in the woods does not (gay little moments)
- martyrs is not exactly a movie i would RECOMMEND per se but it is everything all the time. its a lot. but it is Also queer thats like the least of the plot but. im putting it because its a really good fucking movie and it’ll haunt you
- fright night; simply a must for gay horror!!! its so much fun and is just incredibly like. something really lgbt happened to me yesterday
- train to busan: buddy you are going to cry. its okay just let the zombie movie make you cry. and also scare the shit out of you. it has range
- the fear street trilogy: while i didnt find it very scary it was extremely fun and gay so i think it deserves a nod here
- ginger snaps: spiritual sister to jennifer’s body, (which you should also watch it is gay and very good im just assuming u have had that one put in your orbit) not gay but like it Feels gay. gay people be watching ginger snaps. anyways its a horror coming of age werewolf story its fun
- saw: this is obvious. i am assuming you have watched saw or at least know i think you should watch saw. watch saw 1 & 3 (also 2. for continuity) for something rlly lgbt to happen to u <3
- an american werewolf in london: maybe a bit unexpected? underrated?? but i looooved this movie and yknow what. i think it can count for gay subtext i dont care!
some other rapidfire suggestions from a few sungenres: us, carrie, hell house llc, the blair witch project, revenge, the autopsy of jane doe, candyman, the descent, 28 days later, misery, and near dark

After years of dating, you have finally decided to propose to that special lady. Time to settle down and live a long happy life with the woman you love, but first comes the notorious Las Vegas bachelor party to be enjoyed along with your best boys. Ah yes, the time-honored tradition of going out for that one last night of debauchery with the boys before committing to a life of loving only one woman. Now you just have to decide where to spend your time and hard-earned money. Sure, you could go to the local bar or Strip Club and drink at the same booth while staring at the same girls you've watched on countless weekends but why settle for the mundane when you could be celebrating in Las Vegas!? Bachelor party capital of the world! Home to numerous gentleman's clubs, nightlife venues, and exciting activities to keep you busy during the daylight hours. Before the elevator doors could open to the ground floor you stood up, but the haze in your eyes didn’t clear. You walked out of the elevator and out the glass entrance door weaving yourself into the sea of passing people. The crowd took no mercy on you, the masses were on autopilot. Standing in the midst of the crowd shoulders knocked against yours repeatedly; your purse was pulled to the ground on accident when a business man on the phone carelessly ran into you. Still, you remained indifferent to everything. He kept going not bothering to apologize. Everyone kept moving, except you. You were frozen.
He was alive! However, meeting him again and finding out that he’s a well-known lawyer, your potential boss, was not the way you pictured the reunion. How could he be in such plain sight? It clicked so you rushed to pick up your purse and pulled out your cell phone. It was one of the first generations of smart phones, but it still worked and it didn’t have any scratches on it. You open a web browser and searched “Kim Taehyung Hybrid Welfare Legal Law Group, LLC,” and instantly over 10,000 results came up. The first article was of him walking from a courthouse with the title “Kim puts the notorious serial, hybrid killer behind bars”, another was “Lawyer Kim Taehyung gives statement on bringing the CEO of CJT Corps, who abused his hybrids, to light.” You were stunned, he’s been in plain sight this whole time. It was the twenty first century, why didn’t you use the internet? You already knew the answer to that though, you were just too busy and didn’t have any social media.
You kept scrolling and opened the company’s website moving past the other lawyer’s bios until you found his. This is why you should’ve done your research. You stopped when a photo of him working came into frame. They must’ve taken his picture without him knowing from the candid shot. He was looking down at some paperwork with his head propped at a 45-degree angle resting in his hand at his desk. It was weird seeing him grown up and so--manly looking, his deep voice rang in your head picturing him in the exact same way minutes ago. You shook yourself out of staring at the photo and read his short bio, “Kim Taehyung has been a brilliant lawyer for Hybrid Welfare Legal Law Group, LLC, since 2014. Kim graduated early from the national University at the age of twenty, opting to take honor and advance placement classes. He graduated with a degree in Linguistics and a minor in Philosophy. Kim entered the University’s Law program the following semester after graduation and left three years later ranking in the top 10% percentile of the Bar Exam takers. He’s worked for Free Will Legal Office, LLC, and Liberation Legal Advocacy Corporation, LLC, throughout Law school and interned afterwards. He started working for us at the age of twenty-four and worked his way up to being one of the four main lawyers of our office. A quote from Kim, ‘I will work hard until I can put an end to hybrid abuse and put those who abuse hybrids behind bars.’ We believe Kim Taehyung is the future in hybrid rights.”
Your jaw fell agape, you couldn’t believe this was the same Tae. The Tae you knew was a clumsy, happy-go lucky, carefree kit. Time has really changed things. You crossed your purse over your chest and put your phone back in its slot. You tucked your blazer closer to you when a breeze blew by and walked towards the nearest bus stop. You felt so ashamed of yourself, you wanted to see him again, but he didn’t even remember you. Were you that forgetful? Did your friendship mean nothing to him? You kept walking to the bus station and sat on the cracked, plastic bench and almost missed your bus when you were lost in thought. You ran after the bus, almost slipping on mud, smacking the side of the bus until it captured the driver’s attention and he stopped for you. Even on the ride on the bus you couldn’t stop thinking about him. The rest of the day was spent in this weird smog as if you were walking through a valley of smoke.
You walked up the steep hill to your apartment late at night after your closing shift. You deviated from your path and stopped at the living room converted into a convenient store tucked in one of the houses along the road and perused the short isles. You picked up a few beers from the fridge and chips on a stand. The auntie who sat on a loveseat watching old soap operas just asked for the money with an outheld hand without even paying you any mind. You’ve been here enough to know eachother by first name, “Thanks Lola.” She waved you off with her enclosed hand, you were interrupting the dialogue of her show. You walked up to your rooftop apartment and sat down on the low platform outside your apartment. You sat the crinkling plastic bag next to you along with your purse and just sighed. You dug inside and pulled out any one of the two beers. You pulled back the aluminum tab that released a satisfying hiss. You hoped that this little thing would release some of your pressure too. No, you weren’t a drinker only having drank a total of two times before; both times with your brother when you graduated college, then law school. You just wanted to indulge in this one time.
You took the can and cheered it to the sky before taking a hefty gulp of the stout and breathed a sigh of relief afterwards. You really didn’t understand why people like the taste of alcohol or the flavor of beer at this point, it tasted awful. However, you spent five dollars on all this you weren’t going to let it go to waste. You kept sipping with furrowed brows trying to catch a buzz to sleep better tonight. You laid back on your elbows supporting you looking up at the starry sky. Its been so long since you’ve looked up and taken in the world around you. The stars were so beautiful they twinkled and glimmered as if they were communicating with one another. You picked up your beer and took small sips. This reminded you of the old days when the four of you were laying on the same type of platform doing the same thing. You were starting to feel tipsy, maybe because you never drank or maybe the alcohol hit your system fast because you haven’t eaten in a while. Maybe. You took a deep inhale and then yelled out, “Yah! Taehyung! You’re alive! You’re-- really alive and doing well! I’m so… proud of you! Wow, I saw you today and you didn’t—you didn’t even recognize me! Did I really change that much? Huh?” You had to catch your breath you were so worked up and somewhere along the line you started crying. “How could you—how could you do that to me?” You don’t know when but as some point exhaustion took over from crying so hard and yelling. You fell deep asleep on the platform.
A half hour later your brother walked up the side stairs, his black combat boots clinking against the metal staircase leading to the apartment. He hummed and blew a puff of smoke in the air from his hot breath hitting the icy air. He rubbed his gloved hands together and shoved them in his pocket for any warmth and dug for his keys. The yellow-green flood light dulled against the cement floor, but it caught his attention when it reflected against the plastic bag on the platform. He stepped closer to see exactly what was there only to find you sprawled out sleeping. Tired from his long day as well, he came up to you and smacked your cheek, “hey, hey wake up.” You just groaned and turned to your side landing on top of the plastic bag and knocking over your half full beer. “Hey!” Your brother went to grab the sticky drink before it leaked any further onto the wood and shook his hand in frustration when it coated his hands. He really took in your appearance redden nose, dirty clothes and sneakers haphazardly thrown. You had your “suit uniform” spilling out of your purse as if it was shoved in angrily. He hated seeing you work endlessly and keep going to job interviews tirelessly. He wanted to make your life easier, but he didn’t have a direct way fix that. He sat you up and slung you over his back and then hung your purse over his neck. The plastic bag was in his hand while the other held the house keys, “Yah, you feel too light. You’ve lost too much weight. Why aren’t you eating stupid?” He knew you couldn’t hear any of his complaints, but he still complained none the less. He flopped you onto your twin size bed and pulled the comforter over you. He sat next to you and flattened your wild hair down, it was the least he could do for you after all the things you do for him. Somewhere down the line the roles have changed, and you started taking care of him. He kissed your forehead and turned off the lights closing your bedroom door.
The next morning at seven thirty you woke up to your phone alarm blaring that repetitive noise and a fat headache. You were in pain, but you still had to turn off your insistent alarm. You looked at yourself and wondered how you got inside, it must’ve been your great instincts. You blindly made your way to the bathroom and took a shower. The hot water was so comforting easing the headache to a dull pain. You made it back to your bedroom to change into your day uniform, but were stopped by a surprising figure in the kitchen.
With eyebrows raise you looked at your brother who was diligently mixing something over the counter. He had something on his cheek when he turned around, “Morning sunshine, you look great!” You furrowed your brows and grumbled to him, “shut up.” He laughed, “be out soon to eat before you leave. You don’t have much time before you have to go.” Not about to argue with his comeback you went to change and ready your purse. You packed your only other set of skinny jeans and the same black t-shirt into your bag replacing your suit uniform. You made your way out of the room with light makeup on since it was more appropriate for your day job. You took a peek over your brother’s shoulder on your tippy toes and made a face pulling the sides of your lips down impressed with his makeshift breakfast sandwich. He smacked your creeping hand trying to grab extra pieces of packaged ham and said take some aspirins. “Yes, mom. Love you, mom!” He laughed at your annoyance and you followed through really needing it to carry on today. He let you slip your shoes on before handing you paper bag with a ham sandwich and a breakfast sandwich to carry tucked into a napkin. You were so touched your brother never did stuff like this. You looked at him suspiciously, “did you do something wrong?” He played up an expression of upset with a hand over his chest, “can’t a brother do something nice for a change?” You smiled not willing to have your sandwich revoked and hugged him tight, “thank you for everything.” You snatched the sandwich and placed it in your mouth as you ran out the door waving him goodbye.
You made your way into the diner and grabbed your apron from of your locker. You greeted the older auntie who ran the shop and your coworkers, it was back to the basics. You were working non-stop until you had a fifteen-minute break around noon. You went to your locker in the breakroom and pulled out your phone. There was a missed call from Mrs. Lee. You were panicking internally. What if it was something important? Why was she calling back so soon? For sure only early call backs were rejections, how could he decide overnight? With a shaky finger you hovered over the call button but pressed it and brought it up to your ear. You sat in a chair shaking your leg impatiently while chewing on your thumb in anticipation. There was no voicemail, so it was up in the air to what she needed. She picked up after the seventh ring, “Hello Mrs. Lee this is Y/N Y/L/N. I’m sorry I missed your call I wasn’t able to answer the call while on shift.” She waved it off bidding everything fine, “I understand. I wanted to call you with the results of the interview.” Your heart was racing and begging her to put you down gently. “Mr. Kim has decided that he wants to hire you. We would love it if you could start as soon as possible.”
You were frozen. You were hired! You were hired? “I’m sorry Mrs. Lee, can you please repeat that please?” She laughed at your confused state, “You’re hired Ms. Y/L/N. When can you start?” It took a few seconds, but you were smiling like and idiot and bowing in thanks even though she couldn’t see. “Are you sure Mr. Kim relayed the message right Mrs. Lee? I don’t mean to guess your work, I just can’t believe it,” you spoke at her rapidly and in disbelief. “I’m positive Ms. Y/L/N.” You promised that you would be able to start in the next few days since you had to let your current jobs know you would be resigning. She congratulated you and hung up. You were so excited with the news you stood up and danced, you absolutely couldn’t hold in your excitement. You stopped mid jig and the news really set in. You were going to be working with Taehyung. Would you tell him who you were? So many thoughts were running through your mind, but first things first you had to quite these part time jobs!
You spoke to all your employers who were happy for you, but they asked for a few days more until they could find a replacement. Your bosses from both places were more like long time friends now and they wished you luck and to keep the door open to use you for legal help. As soon as all things were set you called Mrs. Lee to let her know you could make it exactly in three days. She was glad to hear that you worked it all out and would see you very soon at eight a.m. sharp. You were so excited that that night you went home and told your brother you finally got the job! You even made a video call with your brother to your parents telling them the news. They couldn’t be happier for you, and it felt like things were finally working out. You spent that night sitting in bed scrolling again through the company’s website on Taehyung’s bio page. You reread the information over and over again. This was too important to pass up and if Taehyung didn’t recognize you, that was fine. You were going to start fresh again now anyways, so if he didn’t remember you it wouldn’t be the end of the world. You wondered if he still spoke to Hoseok. You wondered a million and one things, but it still didn’t change how hurt your heart felt. You plugged your phone in to your charger and set it on your bed side table. You stared out your window and thanked the stars for watching over you.
You adjusted the same blazer, button up and slacks you wore on your interview. The same flats were adorning your feet, ready for work. You pulled your hair up in a pony tail in the elevator. The smooth, long locks flicked side to side as you looped it in the hair tie. The elevator doors opened to the receptionist lobby. The receptionist, who now asked you to refer to her as Mrs. Smith, congratulated you on your employment. She looked left and right subtly then curled her index finger to beckon you in whispering distance. “Mr. Kim can be a bit…rude. He’s not the kindest, but he works very hard. You’re the only interviewee that made it out of the 150 that applied just this month. I don’t even…” Mrs. Lee came into the receptionist office and cleared her throat. You jumped back and bowed to greet her. She smiled politely at you and raised a brow to Mrs. Smith. Mrs. Smith began humming and went back to work like nothing happened. Mrs. Lee signaled for you to follow her down the hall. You trailed behind her into the open work space.
“This last row of desks in this open space in the far back is where we will be working. The other three rows are meant for the other lawyers.” She pointed along with her words as she lead you down the rows of already busy workers, some gave you a glance while other worked diligently. You were shown to the first desk at the beginning of the row where it was empty, “this is your spot. You can decorate it as much as you like.” You thanked her setting down your purse and she lead you to the other employees under Mr. Kim. The first employee she introduced you to a man who went by casually by the name Key, but his actual name was Kim Kibum. He was a paralegal and was Taehyung’s right-hand man. He looked you up and down, but welcomed you politely. Key carried this sassy carefree air about him that seemed to lack for a lawyer. The next employee was female employee younger than you who was there as a legal assistant. She was still in law school and working her way to becoming a lawyer. She was cold towards you and didn’t care to respond, but Mrs. Lee let you know her name was Jung Krystal. She was pretty, but her attitude made you want to take that statement back. That was the whole team. You could see why they needed you on the team. There weren’t enough members on the team, you wondered how they’ve won so many cases so far with so little people.
Mrs. Lee lead you to Mr. Kim’s office knocking getting the typical non-lingual response. She motioned for you to enter and followed behind closing the door. Your heart was racing seeing him again, in fact it’s been racing as you entered the ground level lobby. He was in a navy-blue suit that really brought out his orange fur on his ears. You tried to calm yourself knowing hybrids can sense your heart rate and anxiety levels. He was in the same position as the other day, but instead he had a cup of coffee in his hands taking sips of his black coffee delicately. You gulped and after Mrs. Lee called to you, you turned to him and reintroduced yourself with your self still bent in a bow thanked him for hiring you. You slowly raised yourself to standing position, but didn’t bring your eyes up immediately. You raised your eyes slowly and as if the world slowed his eyes locked on yours holding them in amusement. He held his gaze on yours silently with a raised brow. He was sizing you up, so you continued, “I will work hard under your team as a lawyer.” He laughed a little, “No, you won’t be working under me as a lawyer. At least not yet.” You looked at him wide eyes, but he continued, “You will be working alongside Ms. Jung, until you prove you can hold your own.” He took another sip of coffee looking for you to challenge him. You were going to have to start from the bottom, the literal bottom of the food chain. You were ready for the challenge though, you lived for the challenge. You smiled politely at him, “I’m willing to show you that I’m a worthy member of this team Mr. Kim.” He was curt and just hummed waving you both off to leave. You understood Mrs. Smith now.
Mrs. Lee escorted you back to your desk and Krystal and Key came over to your desk to drop four boxes full of paperwork that needed sorting and to be categorized by case. You sighed internally at the amount of work, but rolled up your sleeves went to work. Mrs. Lee patted your shoulder and wished you luck. Before you knew it the hands on the clocked turned and it was noon, you were barely a quarter of the way through with one box. Mrs. Lee tapped your shoulder interrupting your concentration, “Mr. Kim is calling for you in his office.” You got up dusting yourself off and made your way over to his office. You knocked lightly and wiped your dusty hands on your slacks and got the approval grunt. You stepped in and was only greeted by an outstretched sticky note in which you took in both hands. “What is this Mr. Kim?” You couldn’t make out the coding of what FR, OC and BrB meant. He looked up at you with a glare as if you’ve just insulted his mother. “My lunch, now go pick it up for me,” he looked at his watch, “and I want it by 1 p.m. Now hurry.” You looked at the clock on the wall and it read 12:15 p.m. How were you supposed to make it back to the office in 45 minutes?
You were going to prove him wrong for underestimating you, “Of course, Mr. Kim.” You stepped out of his office and power walked back to the open space, but was stopped by more sticky notes by your team; even the intern who should be doing all this. You were a little upset by the intern’s rudeness, but you weren’t going to let this shake you. You took them and asked them to decode Mr. Kim’s note first. “Its fried rice, orange chicken and broccoli beef from Panda Express.” Not caring to waste any more time you ran out of the office like lightening. You had to pick up coffees from Starbucks, sandwiches from Subway on top of Mr. Kim’s order. You were walking so fast with three bags swinging on your arms and four coffees in a carboard cup holder. You were adjusting a bag on your arm trying to reach the sticky notes your blazer pocket one last time when someone ran directly into you. The coffees in your hand down poured onto you soaking your white button up. A mix of hot and cold pungent liquid all over your white button up. You liked coffee, but not to this extent. You weren’t concerned about your shirt though, you were about the coffee. You checked the time and ran back to the coffee shop a few stores back. The man who was trying to apologize to you was left standing there in confusion.
You made it back to the office panting at 12:59 p.m. and set everything down on the round conference table of your section. The members at their desk all looked at you concerned with the blatant brown stain on your shirt, but you were in a rush. You only had a minute left! You grabbed his tray, fork and napkins along with his venti coffee. You knocked on his door with your elbow and got the grunt. You made your way into his office and set the food down on the cleared portion of his desk. You stepped back waiting for his response. He set his pen down and took his Ray-Ban Clubmaster glasses off. He looked at you judgingly and then took in the brown stain poured down your front. He chooses to not comment but went to grab the tray. He popped open the container and hummed, not in approval or disapproval just a throaty noise. You were sweating for more reason than one. He finally said something, “you’re late by two minutes Ms. Y/L/N. How do you expect me to depend on you with that kind of timing?” You were shocked you made it late but bit your tongue, “I’m sorry Sir, it won’t happen ever again.” He raised a brow, “better not Y/L/N.” You were surprised that he addressed you by your first name. It felt weird hearing it again. He grabbed at the plastic fork but tossed it in his small trash bin, “I don’t eat my Chinese food with a fork, go get me chopsticks.” You were panicking you didn’t grab any, so you tried to think of anything besides having to go all the way back. You remembered you had your own chopsticks for your lunch. You asked him for a second and ran to your desk and rummaged your purse until you found your chopsticks at the bottom of your lunch bag. The metal chopsticks would work perfectly. You knocked again and handed him the utensil with both hands. He took them from you and commented, “I prefer wooden ones, but I’ll settle.” You were holding your comeback in, you were glad you weren’t a dragon hybrid at this moment. You asked him if that was all he needed, and he waved you off again. You made it back to your desk where everyone was now eating and working at their own. Mrs. Lee and Kibum thanked you, but Krystal just ate quietly. She’s yet to say a word to you.
You got back to work and ate your food with an extra plastic fork left in one of the bags. Again, time has passed by quickly and before you knew it the rest of your team was leaving for the night and biding you good night. Mrs. Lee told you to, “go home soon, there’s always tomorrow.” You smiled and said you would, but in by the looks of your desk you knew it was going to be a long night. Your desk lamp was the last one on in the office and you were working on the last four case files from the third box. You sat up cracking your back then heard a voice next to you, “I’m not paying you for overtime.” Jolting at the sound you banged your knee on the desk but stood up with a click of your knees and replied, “Mr. Kim! I know, but I want to finish before I leave.” He looked over your shoulder to see the stack of different sorted casefiles. He looked back at you stoically with his tail swishing casually and just walked off. You called after him, “Good night Mr. Kim” and you whispered, “Good night Tae Tae” when he was around the corner while rubbing your knee.
Taehyung came home to an empty apartment. His roommates Hoseok, Jimin and Jungkook were still out. Jimin and Hoseok was out practicing choreography for an upcoming tour for a famous artist. Jungkook was probably working a late shift at the station. They’ve all made it into fields they’ve dreamt of. Taehyung pulled out a bottle of wine from the wine rack and popped open the cork. He used his better sense of smell and took in the fruity flavor of the vintage wine. He poured himself a glass and pulled out some ingredients from the fridge and went to prepare himself dinner. A few minutes later he heard the keycode being punched in and the scuffing of boots at the entrance. The heavy timberlands hit the floor with a thud near the shoe rack and a Bunny still in his police uniform set his phone on the island counter along with his badges and plopped himself in a bar stool across the stove. He greeted Taehyung, “Hyung, I’m home! You won’t believe the day I had!”
At home Taehyung could let loose and be himself, he didn’t have to put up a hard exterior that he did at the office. “Tell me about it then, Kookie.” He went on to say about a few weeks ago a drunk uncle was abusing his young hybrid but a heroine stepped in and saved the hybrid. She was a lawyer too! She beat the man into submission and pinned him to the floor. She went with the hybrid to the hospital and he found out she knows Jin too! He took the hybrid into his shelter according to the report and getting a phone call from the bear himself. “Anyways, she was really pretty hyung, and I wanted to ask her on a coffee date, you can’t let a cool woman like that just walk by. But that’s not the point, the point is the drunk man is suing the station for taking away his hybrid when he was in an inebriated state.” Taehyung turned to him to him with raised brows and tail swishing in interest, “did you ask her out?” The bunny’s ears went down in sadness, “No, she got into the ambulance before I could even say anything.” Taehyung and Jungkook always told eachother stories going on in their work since they both often shared cases.
More noise came from the front door and in came the last two roommates. Hoseok came into the kitchen first doing some gliding moves but Jimin kneed him in the butt to move out the way. Jimin greeted the two and did the secret handshake that only they would know. Hoseok came next to Taehyung at the stove, “Tae Tae, what are you making? Is there enough for all of us?” He didn’t plan on making enough for everyone, but wordlessly he was throwing more portions onto the skillet. Hoseok thanked Taehyung and the three sat down on the island next to Jungkook who retold his story of his day. Hoseok listened intently then said, “Hey, Tae, doesn’t that girl remind you of the girl from the country side where we used to live? She would do the same for us when we were kids. Her and her brother would always stand up for us!” Taehyung smiled remembering the face of that girl, she had choppy hair and rags for shoes, but she was always happy. He couldn’t remember her name and her facial features were blurry to him now, but he knew the person. He answered honestly, “I do Hobi, it’s was so long ago. Her face is blurry to me now, but I remember that choppy bowl cut flying squirrel.” They all laughed at him calling you a squirrel. Jimin turned to Hoseok, “is she that girl in that photo at Tae mom’s house?” Hoseok lit up remembering the photo,” Yeah! That exact girl!” They carried on chatting and joking. They ended the night with some video games. Taehyung was about to get into bed when he pulled out his phone and in the gallery, he took a picture of that photo in his mom’s house. There was water damage on the photo, so all the faces were blurry. He zoomed in on your face and smiled fondly, “Hey Firefly, it’s been a while. I hope you’re doing well. I hope your still kicking butt and saving foxes like you used to.” He stared at the photo a bit more then set it to charge for the night, “Good night Firefly.”
The next morning you came to the office with the same outfit. You didn’t have enough money to buy any new clothing, your last paycheck to pay utilities and rent. The coffee stain came out of your button up after soaking it in a concoction of home remedy stain remover. You were the first of your team in the office. You finished all the filing last night at 2:30 a.m. A few moments later Mrs. Lee made her way over to your row, “good morning Y/N!” You greeted her back, but she rushed to drop her bag off at her desk to go back to the receptionist area. You sat down at your desk and waited for her to return. Mr. Kim came around the corner with his briefcase adjusting his glasses. You stood up to greet him, but he stopped in his tracks, “You’re still here?” You raised your brows in question, “you hired me correct?” He nodded and carried on to his office closing the door behind him. You saw Mrs. Lee escorting the same family you saw the day you submitted your resume. This time the young man had bruises and a black eye. You looked worriedly at Mrs. Lee, but she just mouthed “later” to you. She sat them at the conference table and told them to wait for her. She came over to you asking for you to get some files for her to present to them. You nodded following her instruction.
When you returned with the case files she asked for, you to sit with her and the family. She introduced you to the woman, Mrs. Miller, and her son David. You shook their hands introducing yourself. She spoke to them about the new revisions and terms that were set by the recent lawyer meeting. You listened intently picking up that she was going through a lawsuit where the other party is suing for assault and defamation. It was hard to believe with David looking as if danger was waiting around the corner for him. Mrs. Lee directed them towards Mr. Kim’s office to discuss things further and Mrs. Lee returned to you. “Mrs. Miller and her son are in a civil lawsuit. A few rich kids at the private school assaulted him, and their parents are trying to turn it around on them. Claiming that David inflected the injuries on himself and are trying to ruin their image. They don’t want to settle out of court. With all evidence we have so far, it points towards hybrid discrimination.” You nodded silently, longingly looking at the office down the hall. Mrs. Lee went to get up but you stopped her before she went on to give you work, “what did Mr. Kim mean when he said ‘you’re still here’?” She looked at you with raised brows sitting down beside you again, “We’ve hired people before you to join the team, but they never stayed after the first day. We’ve gone through 15 people leaving after the first day. They complain that they don’t want to do bottom work with a lawyer’s license, they want to practice already. He always lets them leave. He purposely is a bit overbearing in the beginning to really see if people are made out to work here.” You slowly nodded finally understanding his words. You smiled at her and said, “please give me more work to do!” She laughed at your eagerness, but then went to hand you more boxes. You honestly were more motivated to work harder, this was your dream even if it was starting at the bottom. Nothing good is every handed out, it’s earned.
You went back and forth around the office and brought all cases up to date on filing. The next few weeks you worked endlessly proving yourself. You stayed late often re-doing reports and checking and rechecking paperwork. Taehyung would stop by your desk nightly before he left seeing you were the last one, but never said anything. He just stared at you then walked off, but you always wished him a good night and that he worked hard today. When he stepped away you always called him Tae Tae. It was hard to control your beating heart around the handsome fox.
Taehyung was impressed by your hard work, but he would never tell you. He was impressed the first day when you offered up your chopsticks. He knew he was being difficult, but he needed you to be flexible and adaptable. The things he’s been putting you through were test, not just miniscule task. You still had a long way to go before he trusted you to work on a major case.
But the day came, a month in working at the office. He finally asked you to do something else besides paper work and running small errands. You knocked on his door and stepped into his office. He asked you to sit down in the chair in front of his desk. You were slightly worried thinking you were in trouble, but he interrupted your thoughts, “I want you to go out tomorrow morning with Mr. Kim to David Miller’s private school to get a testimonial from the school and any evidence. We need some papers signed by their principal.” You were relieved you weren’t in trouble and the anxiety turned into happiness. You tried to hide your smile but failed miserably when your lips twitched and settled into a smile. “Thank you, Mr. Kim, I’ll do my best.” He just looked at you dully, “this is work Mrs. Y/L/N not something to thank me for.” You bowed and asked him if he needed anything else before you returned to your desk. He breathed in deeply looking you once over then tilted his head to the side, “is that the only clothes you have? That “uniform” of yours should be put away for a new one, don’t you think? Wear something else for tomorrow’s visit.” He looked down to his paperwork again and waved you off. You were excited with the given task, finally he trusted you enough to do actual work. However, his comment on your clothes sucked a bit off happiness out of it. You knew very well that you shouldn’t wear the same clothes every day, but it was the only thing you had. You bowed and left with a smile still on your face. You ran into Mrs. Lee who was about to knock on the door, you excused yourself and walked down the hall. Mrs. Lee was still staring at you walking down the hall, she overheard and was surprised you didn’t look phased. You were a strong woman indeed.
There was something about you to him. The sense of familiarity only got worse over time. Something in his gut was pulling him to you, maybe it was your pretty face? Maybe it was your persistent personality? Every time he looked at you he just felt like something was missing, but he didn’t know what it was. A mysterious nostalgia. He smiled to himself when you left the room and laughed quietly at your cute behavior. It was hard holding back and keeping a stone face when you were here. He felt comfortable with you. Every night when he passed by your desk he always wants to speak to you, to chat casually, but he doesn’t want to cross professional boundaries. In the end he just walks away leaving you to work. When Mrs. Lee walked in he corrects himself immediately, coughing and clearing his throat to cover his laugh.
The next morning you came in to work, again being the first of your team. You still had your “uniform” on, but you had no choice. None of your friends, even your ex-coworker, had any professional clothing they could lend you. You sat at your desk turning on your computer to get to work until Key came into the office. Mrs. Lee came into the work space humming and swinging three, large, unfamiliar bags. You didn’t pay any mind to her after you greeted her normally. She came up behind you and tapped on your shoulder. You turned to her holding up three bags in front of you blocking your vision. “What is this Mrs. Lee?” She lowered the bags and said, “I was going through my closet yesterday cleaning it out any of the pieces I had that were still in good condition, but I never used. I was wondering if you would want them? It’d be a shame to throw out such good pieces.” You looked at the bags and then back at her, “Oh, I can’t take something so nice.” She stopped you, “No, I won’t be using them anymore! We seem to wear the same size so please, take them. It’s my gift to you.” You reluctantly took the bag and then pulled out some gorgeous blouses, slacks and pencil skirts. The last bag had two pairs of heels, one was classic black, thin heel pump and an ankle strap, nude heel. You turned to her amazed at the beautiful clothing, “this is so expensive. I—!” She stopped you again, “Hush, take it and don’t let them go to waste on an old woman like me.” You pulled out a white, bell sleeve blouse, a black, knee length, tight fitting pencil skirt, and the black heels. You went into the women’s restroom and changed into your new outfit. It fit perfectly, even the shoes! You were a bit unstable at first but got used to it quickly. You looked in the mirror at yourself, you looked like a real professional. I guess fair feathers make a fair bird. You pulled your hair out of the ponytail and it cascaded down into romantic, tousled waves. You didn’t get a chance to dry it after showering last night tying it up wet. You smiled at the new you, ready to take on your mission today! You folded your old clothes and walked back to the work room. You got some stares from the other lanes as you walked by, but you kept going avoiding their gaze. You made it to your desk and stuffed your old “uniform” into one of the bags. You pushed them under your desk until your shift would end. Mrs. Lee came up to you and simply said, “wow, you clean up really well Y/N. These clothes were meant for you! You look great!” You were blushing folding your hands in front of you not sure how to receive compliments. Krystal even raised her eyebrows at you and nodded, but quickly returned to her work.
“Mrs. Lee, do we have a guest?” You heard Taehyung ask Mrs. Lee from behind you. You turned around to look at Mr. Kim, who was wide eyed when he realized it was you standing there. “Oh, Y/N. It’s you.” He was thrown off by the woman standing in front of him, it was you, but different. The way the pencil skirt hugged your hips and your collar bones showed through your blouse was captivating. You were a fresh Spring day, the warmth of the sun that came along with the season and freshness. Your scent filled him to the brim. The biggest note of yours was lavender, it calmed him the more he inhaled. It was like a crisp breeze came through him as he took in your scent. It was heavenly and soul soothing. He had to shake himself out of his spell realizing he was staring, and just casually said good morning. He walked to his office leave all three of you just staring at his disappearing figure. You shared a look with Mrs. Lee raising your eyebrows at his strange morning greeting. You never got those.
Key made it to the office ready to leave to visit David’s school for a statement. You walked down to the parking garage of the establishment and got in his Mercedes. The twenty-minute journey to the middle school was anything but boring. You found out more things about Key, he’s quite chatty and funny. You shared things about yourselves even obscure things. You were having too much for this to be professional. You arrived at the front of the school stepping outside the parked car. Key and you made your way to the front office and sat down waiting in the reception. Key went over with you that he would do a majority of the consultation, she can be a stick in the mud. The woman stood up at the secretarial desk and instructed you to follow her into an office. The woman in the office looked like a true private school principal. The gaudy jewelry, the stuffy suit, and botched plastic surgery showed off her wealth. You both sat down in front of her desk after introductions and she immediately began to defend herself. “I’m sorry Mr. Kim, we will not provide any assistance in that regard. The offenses happened off campus and it was not under school hours. This is a private personal matter.”
She was obviously using any legal loophole she could find to take the responsibility off the school. Key informed you on the way here that this school had records before of hybrid students being assaulted or discriminated. You were genuinely upset that the system that was supposed to be protecting all kids equally failed them. You tried interjecting, “Ma’am, we still need –,” but she held up her hand stopping you. Key and you exchanged a look knowing there wasn’t going to be any way to get her signature. You shook her hand and left with Kibum. He stopped you once you left the building and with a cat-like grin asked, “You know we should go find David. You know… observe the environment to get a feel for it.” He knew that this was probably crossing the line, but he was always up for gathering evidence. “This way we can find out and study if there are any other discriminations going on.” You nodded agreeing with your fist held up to his in a fist bump. You walked down the halls trying to observe the private school for any abnormalities. You kept walking until you made it to the gym area near the back of the school when you heard it. You heard the huffs and grunts of someone, and a gaggle of laughs. You and Kibum crept around the corner of the building peering over the edge of the gymnasium. David was on the floor surrounded by five, tall built boys who were obviously older than him. Two of the kids were smoking cigarettes passing it between them. The one who just kicked flicked the still lit stick onto the young bunny. Anger boiled within you and you made a step towards them when Key stopped you and hushed you. He brought out his phone and began recording the situation. You needed evidence.
“Little Bunny, who’s going to save you now, huh?” They continued to kick him in his fetal position, but when they got tired of it they pulled on his ears. He let out a large yelp in protest. They continued their ministrations, but you’ve had enough! You didn’t even spare a look back at Key who was whisper yelling at you. Your heels clicked as you paced over to the group of men surrounding David. You yelled out, “Hey, leave the kid alone!” You stood a few feet away with a hand on your hip the other pointing at them when the group of five stopped what they were doing and turned towards you. They raised an eyebrow at you, “who are you lady?” David was clearly scared, but limped behind you when he recognized you. He tugged on your shirt, “Mrs. Y/L/N, please, save me!” You bent down to his level and petted his ears, “It’s okay David. Go to Mr. Kim over there, okay? He’ll protect you. Don’t come out until I say so, okay?” He nodded and ran over to Key who was still recording.
You were going to handle this as rationally as possible, but the boy standing in the center just lit up another cigarette taking a drag. You supposed all of them were around seventeen years old, maybe seniors here. The leader, you assumed, approached you taking a few steps out of his group, “Look lady, do you know who I am? My dad could-.” You laughed, “Look kid, I don’t care who your dad is. I’m going to call the authorities to handle this okay?” You went to turn around, but the kid grabbed your wrist roughly. “No, were not lady. This is going to be kept quiet.” You’ve had enough turning halfway around to look at his firm grip on your wrist. You asked him calmly to release your arm. He refused to release it, but you asked once more, “let my wrist go, please.” He laughed and looked at his friends who were egging him on. “Fine,” he suddenly yanked of your wrist causing you to stumble onto the ground. Your knees scrapped against the hot, black asphalt and one heel fell off. You stabilized yourself on your aching wrist from breaking your fall. You noticed your one heel still on had broken! You just got them! His friends were laughing hysterically and so was he, he dropped his fag in front of you and stepped on it twisted his foot tauntingly. The laughing stopped when you flipped the switch on them. You stood up and tied your hair into a pony tail kicking your broken shoe off. It was game on.
You caught the leader’s hand, who was attempting to grab you in an outstretch reach, into your right hand and with your left on the boy’s collar of his button up shirt. Using the momentum of his weight charging towards you, you flipped him to the ground. These boys towered over you, but they didn’t have the same life experience as you. The boy was groaning on the ground and when realization struck his comrades they came rushing to you. They all began circling around you stepping back and forth trying to scare you. One of them even brought out a pocket knife and started waving it at you with a smirk. You were thanking the heavens that your brother taught you things in his free time.
Two boys came at you at once, but you ducked avoiding his right hook. You stood back up avoid his second attempt. You round house kicked the guy in the neck. He stumbled bent over and you took advantage of it bringing your knee to his face. The other guy came at you while you were distracted and grabbed your pony tail pulling you back. The one with the knife attempted to stab you while you were being restrained but avoided it losing the bell sleeve to the grazing. You wiggled yourself free of the pony tail grabber and pushed him away. The knife wielder came back at you, but you grabbed his wrist before he could do anything and twisted it past its normal extension. He wasn’t a knife wielder, it must be for show since he was coming at you sloppily. You heard his wrist pop and the knife clang to the floor. He backed away holding his wrist screaming, “She broke my wrist!” These boys looked stronger than they were. The last two stood there watching their friends and decided they should make a run for it.  They were stopped though when two police officers intercepted them.
Key was running over to you, “Y/N! Are you alright?” You retightened your pony tail, “Yeah, that was nothing.” You dusted your hands off in a satisfied manner and key spoke again, “Your shoes--!” Before Key could finish authorities along with the principal came around the corner. The principal was yelling, “No, not these boys! They would’ve never done anything wrong! That Miller kid must’ve provoked them!” You were in complete shock, despite the clear evidence she still chooses to side with these kids. The police officers rounded the boys up and took the one with the broken hand to the ambulance. A familiar face came up to you, “M. Y/L/N, we meet again, in another unfortunate situation.” You look around squinting at his uniform and caught his name and it clicked, the same bunny hybrid officer from that night! “Officer Jeon,” you shake his hand, “Our lawyer, Mr. Kim, sent us here to get a testimony, but we caught our defense under attack by the same boys who are holding a lawsuit against him.” He wrote down your notes and testimony. He turned to Key and asked for his story, who basically repeated after you. Key whispered to you, “Y/N, I think you’re going to have to with them to the station. You’re a badass, but legally beating up minors doesn’t work out.” He was right, but you weren’t going to stand by watching someone get beat up. Another officer came up to Jeon and discussed things you couldn’t hear. He turned to you with an apologetic look, “I’m sorry Ms. Y/L/N, but we’re going to have to take you down to the station for further questions.” You weren’t surprised, the chances of you scathing by this with rich kid’s parents protecting them was unlikely. You told Key to go back to the office and report everything without you. You held your wrist out towards Officer Jeon with no words and he silently cuffed you walking you to his patrol car.
Key was impressed with you, he felt like he was watching a live super hero film the way you jumped in saved the kid and beat up those guys! He had to snap himself out of his giddy atmosphere and let reality sink in. He had to let Taehyung know and get you out! He had to get you out! He picked up your broken heels raced to his car slipping into the driver seat and peeled out of the parking lot. He made it back to the office in record breaking time, parking haphazardly in his spot in the parking garage of the office. He snatched the heels in the passenger seat and ran to the elevator. He pressed the up button of the elevator repeatedly as if his life depended on it. The door opened, and he stepped inside pressing the fifth floor and mashing the close door button. He was sweating at this point, it was supposed to be a simple task, but it escalated into something major fast. The elevator doors opened, and he zoomed past Mrs. Smith who called after him. He speed pass the work room not paying attention to his team who was eyeing him in wonder. He repeatedly knocked on Mr. Kim’s door not waiting for a come in, and he closing the door behind him. Mr. Kim was on the phone which gave Key time to catch his breath. He was tapping his foot impatiently on the floor. Mr. Kim finished his call and turned to his team member, “What is--?” Key interrupted holding up the shoes, “Taehyung, Y/N! Y/N, she was taken by the authorities—you know what just watch this!” He pulled out his phone and came around the desk and showed him the video of earlier. It began with the kids bullying David, but then you came in the picture. Everything was fine until the kid laid a hand on you. You were tossing the kid around and even dodge a knife. He was worried when he saw the shoes, but it got worse when he saw the video. When the video finished he turned to Key, “where is she?” Key looked down at the floor, “The police took her. They want to question her further.” Taehyung got up from his desk, “Fuck!” and without any other words put on his coat and took his keys and made his way out the office with Key behind him.
The longer it took them to get to the downtown station the angrier he got. How could you carelessly attack? You didn’t think ahead at all! They made it to the station and walked into the entrance. The phones were ringing, officers were running around, some hanging around at their desk. He recognized a familiar face who was standing next to his partner, Kim Yugyeom who was a friend of his as well. Wordlessly he walked up to Jungkook and grabbed his arm, “Where is she?” Jungkook was surprised to see Taehyung here, it wasn’t common he ever came down to the station. “Who hyung?” Taehyung looked around the office not seeing you anywhere. “Y/N. Y/N Y/L/N.” Jungkook eyes lit up, “Oh! She’s in a holding cell. Do you know her hyung?” He didn’t care to respond to him, but carried on, “Take me to her, I need to see her.” He was seething at this point; his tail was flicking, and his ears were down turned. Jungkook picked up on his anger with his ears standing straight up, he wondered what did Tae have anything to do with you? Jungkook tapped his partners arms then lead him and Key to the back hallway where the holding cells were. He unlocked the metal cage door revealing rows of cells along the hallway. He let them enter and directed them to the second to last cell on the right side. Taehyung came up to the cell, but held his tongue when he saw you curled up in the corner. Your knees have crusted blood dripping down your leg and your shirt was torn. He turned around running his hand through his hair calming himself down.
You looked up to the noise slowly and noticed the three of them staring at you. You went to sit back on your heels despite the pain and leaned forward in a bow, “I’m sorry Mr. Kim.” You stayed in that position even as he responded, “I can’t believe you. On your first errand…How--.” He walked back to the station’s main room with Jungkook following him. Key remained crouching down, “Y/N, get up. He’s gone.” You rose with a stoic face, you felt so guilty that may you had ruined the case. You wanted to bring justice to David, but you were just complicating things. In your heart you did the right thing, you stopped violence and the innocent from getting hurt. “It’s going to be okay Y/N. Taehyung may be upset right now, but he’ll get you out. He’s not one of the four famous lawyers at our firm for nothing,” Key explained. It made you feel a bit better and you offered him a small smile. He left you but offered his blazer to keep warm and you took it from him reluctantly.
Jungkook came up behind Taehyung who was staring at the Miller family situated at one of the desk. The mother was rocking her son back in forth in comfort. She had tears in her eyes and her bunny ears were flopped down in sadness. This hurt his heart. It reminded him of his own mother when she comforted him those nights realizing his father wouldn’t come back. He wasn’t going to let these kids get away with their bullying. Jungkook spoke up, “Who is Y/N to you hyung?” Taehyung turned to him, “she’s my newest employee.” Jungkook’s mouth formed the perfect “O” in realization. Jungkook lead Taehyung to the family and they discussed what actions would be taken further. Their discussion was interrupted by a few women coming in yelling at the top of their lungs. “My son is innocent! Where is the bitch that ruined his wrist!” the fancily dressed woman shouted into the room. Jungkook stood up addressing the women, “Ma’am, please sit down,” directly the woman to sit at the desk. “No, I want to see that women who beat up my son and his friends!” Taehyung stood up as well attempting to mediate the situation. Mrs. Miller was holding her son closer, protecting him in the best way she could. The woman struggled in Jungkook’s hold but everyone stopped when a tall man, with overly gelled back hair walked into the room. He has a uniform that was littered with badges on his left chest. The man spoke loudly, “Ma’am, we need to ask you to calm down and take a seat.” The woman turned in Jungkook’s hold, “and who are you to order me around?” Jungkook bowed to his senior, “Chief.” The man waved him off and took charge of the situation directing the woman to sit down at one of the conference tables.
Taehyung and the woman’s lawyer went at eachother for a while back and forth trying to come to a resolution, but they were stubborn. Taehyung was off in the corner trying to come up with a new statement when the lawyer asked for a break. Jungkook came up to him with a coffee in a Styrofoam cup which Taehyung took thanking him. Jungkook sat next to him, “Hyung, remember how I told you about that heroine?” Taehyung nodded after taking a sip of his dark coffee. “That’s her. Y/N is her.” Taehyung raised his brows not expecting the wonder woman of Jungkook’s story to be you. He laughed though, you were full of surprises today. Jungkook patted Tae’s back returning to his desk. Taehyung finished his coffee tossing it into the trash. Mrs. Miller, the rich wives were already gone, and Key went back to the office it was only him left. He sighed with a heavy heart and made his way back to the dimly lit cells. He walked slowly to your cell to find you in the same position as earlier. He crouched down to your level and called to you, “Hey, hey!” You looked up at him with sad eyes that he had to turn away. “You’re going to have to stay here for the night. There seems to be progress with the families, but this isn’t a simple lawsuit anymore.” You nodded knowing that there was no way going the easy route. He got up to walk away from the cell wordlessly like always. You spoke softly in whisper as always, “Good night Tae Tae.” The footsteps once moving down the hall stopped, turning around to you even faster. Taehyung grabbed the bars knocking on the cell door with a rattle looking at you with wide eyes, ears at attention, “What did you just say?”

Level editor The good thing about the full version of Happy Wheels game is the level editor that it features. As a gamer, this allows you to create a custom level of your own. There are many objects and tools that you can use to build your level, and you can upload your maps to public servers where others can access them. The game received positive reviews after it was released, and it is considered among the best free games available. The level editor has received much praise, and the amount of user-generated content makes the game stand out from the crowd. The violence in the game is considered humorous due to its over-the-top nature. It’s very hard for you to play the game without laughing at how ridiculously your character is being torn to shreds.
Online community Even though Happy Wheels full game does not support a multi-player option, it allows an online community to create and post their own levels for others to attempt. It gives gamers a unique experience because everyone’s levels are different. The community is able to rate the levels, and they can even leave their own comments. If you receive unflattering reviews, you might think about making some changes in your levels, which improves the game. It is this interactive nature that provides more excitement to the game, and you will not become bored with repeating the same levels as in other games.

Mouth Dreams!
MOUTH DREAMS IS OUT!!!!!!
Neil Cicierega has produced another mashup album in the Mouth series, so it’s time for me to do a blind album listen.
I’m just listening to the full album file on Neil’s website while I type so I can’t see track titles… so I’ll guess at them! A fun little mini game.
You can listen online or download the album on Neil’s site: http://www.neilcic.com/mouthdreams/
1. Yahoooooooo! Prelude
The first song is just the Yahoo! jingle with the “hooooo” increasingly long
And eventually going into a round!
I’m not sure what the orchestral backing is, probably from a movie
2. Intro to Mouth Dreams
Intro to The Twilight Zone but the words are all over the place lol
Hey! “Mouth Dreams” that’s the title of the album! Gee willickers!
3. We Will Sponge You
We Will Rock You by Queen… oh.
It’s the intro to Spongebob Squarepants
Alright hell yeah
This is so stupid but so well done dear lord
4. Folsom Prison Baby Blues
Oh no… that emo band… I forget them
HOOBASTANK that’s it. The Reason
I don’t actually know this other song.
Oh jk he shot a man in Reno just to watch him die.
I think that’s Johnny Cash? Idk the title of the song though.
JUSTIN BEIBER’S BABY
Alright we’re fucking around with “baby” lyrics?
“My momma was a train” lol
“When I was just a train”
“I shot a traaaaaain” yes yes yes
Okay, I looked up the Johnny Cash song to come up with a track title guess.
5. Can’t Touch This Psycho Killer OR Bed’s On Fire
Can’t Touch This! I think the song is called Superfreak though?
Hmmm what’s this other song…
Bed’s on fire
Psycho killer… bed’s on fire… looooool
Ok that song is maybe called Psycho Killer
I’m just waiting for fa-fa-fa-fa-faaaa-fafa-faaaa-fafa-faaaaa-FIRE
Hell yeah saxophone
Yeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeah to the cadence of runrunrunrunrunnnnn
6. Harpsichord Interlude?
Harpsichord?
I can’t quite make out the lyrics cuz they’re slowed down…
Get Happy, alright
I’m not sure if this is the same song of the last thing was an interlude but it seems like the harpsichord thing persisted soooo maybe the same?
Well maybe this is the only lyric now
The word “happy” has no meaning to my ears any more
Hmm techno kinda beats in the back… reminds me of the back of a Black Eyed Peas song or something
7. Ribs OR Everybody Wants Chili’s Baby Back Ribs
Dreamy triplets
I want my baby back ribs?????
Oh shit what is that guitar riff…
Haaaaaaaaa Chiliiiiiii’s baby back riiiiibs
I don’t wantcha I don’t needcha… oh gosh
THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
Hahaha the Lion King has snuck in here for “In The Jungle”
OH the guitar backing is Everybody Wants To Rule The World (or whatever the real song title is)
8. Dream Stew
Dream On by Aerosmith
This was in the trailer, yes
Brain Stew by Green Day
My mouth my mouth my mouth
“My face is… my face” is the perfect amount of clunky
9. Do Wanna Miss A Thing
Everclear? Everlong?
I think it’s the Foo Fighters???
Lol the vibrato on this other song is wild
“I don’t miss you baby and I do wanna miss a thing” looool
Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing… idk the band off hand
10. Sleeping With My Clothes On
Lol just… staccato beats with the bass dropping whenever it wants
Blink 182?? Own Worst Enemy?
I see sleeping with clothes on and I raise you... wearing PJs all day (like me)
11. That’s Amore OR Drunk Italians
ITALIAN PIZZA PIE
Lol the lyrics are of course backwards
The wiggly accordion...
BELLS
We’re just tossing noun phrases around like a juggler
Fading out in nightmarish ways as we transition to the next song...
PiiIiIiiIIIzzA
12. Stacy’s Mom’s Pool
“stop.”
Uhhh is this Weezer?
Omg Stacy’s MOM
It think it’s Say It Ain’t So by Weezer
We’re gonna hear a lot about this pool
Hmm it’s not Say It Ain’t So…
It might be In My Mind
More dreamy transitions
13. Noogie OR Cookie
Omg what is this Amazonian flute
Ooooh funky
SHAQ??
The siiiize of these eeeyeeeees
Is this “How I Beat Shaq” ??
Nah, I think this is a song I don’t know
I did it all for the noogie!
Idk if the backing song is the same song as the front… I’m just not familiar with these ones
Surrender… my cookie!
I feel like the Home Improvement jingle is gonna slip in here
14. Never mind i think this is one long song
Han Solo?
This is maybe a different song
Some sort of Star Wars word soup with a CAKE-esque bass backing?
Is this a child’s chorus? Sesame Street?
I wonder who did the Star Wars song…
Oh maybe this is one long song after all…
14. Crazy: Now On VHS
This sounds like a VHS jingle…
Oh lol there it is
Yep yep yep yep yep give me them ALL Neil!
Oh good the loooooong note
Ooh what just came in?
She Drives Me Crazy? Ooh Ooh?
Oh yeah, nailed it… but idk the band again
Lol there’s like 20 more minutes we’re only ⅔ through or so
Ooh I like whatever this four note repetition is
15. Now On VHS! Interlude
And now… our feature presentation…
The Outsiders??
Pony Boy?
We’re just… naming things?
I assume this is one of those old VHS pre-movie commercials where someone is talking about what a great deal this 3-pack of discs is or something
BUMBLEBEE TUNA
Tag urself.... I’m DEATH
I’m literally loling at DEATH
Kid Cuisineeeee
Lonesome guitar coming in…
And… LOL
Rick Astley and A CROWD OF BOOS
Lean in, Neil. Embrace the chaos.
Never Gonna Give You Up is a pretty good song actually
Oh the guitar might be Hurt by… whoever did that
16. Closer To Fireflies
Drop the Arctic Monkeys you coward
Fireflies and Suffocate Me instead
That’s not the title… Fuck you like an animal…
I’d like to------make myself believe (not------PENETRATE YOU) but I see where this came from
Closer To God, that’s right
This and the Spongebob one are my favs so far
17. Benny And The Best
Benny And The Jets…
Uhhh I’m not sure about the punk song
The Best? The Best? The Best? Arouuuund? Is this also the Foo Fighters? U2?
I’m not sure this is its own song
18. Factory With A Girl
UHHH this stressful video game music…
It’s like the factory song from cartoons, not a video game specifically
Fell In Love With A Girl
Oooh jk this my fav, it’s so jazzy
Oh god the manic energy of the “ahhhhhh” part
I think Jet is the band?
This makes me want to walk down the street in a zoot suit snapping every other beat
19. WAHNNABE
WHAT IS IT GOOOOOD FOR
Wait omg it’s WAH
WAH-NNABE
WAH Wario?
WAH… what is it good for loooool
20. Feel Good LLC
Sheep noises?
FEEL GOOD intro laugh
Oh this is unhinged
Omg that music in the back sounds like what going crazy is like, it’s like an evil carnival
The Gorillaz, always good
Lol the sheep noises at the end
21. Irony On Elm Street
Ironic by Alanis Morrisette… okay
He died the next day… then turned 98…
It’s an old man in your chardonnay
IT’S LIKE RAIN omg idk the backing but it’s ominous
I swear to god this backing is from like Nightmare on Elm Street or Halloween or something
Kissed his spoons goodbye
I think it’s whatever horror movie has Jason who I think is the one in the hockey mask?
It’s exactly like 10,000 spoons
22. idk
The winds of Skype
Uhhh some kind of 80s ballad is fading in
SMASH MOUTH YOU’RE HERE
All Star is warbled
WAKE UP
23. Britney’s Fifth
Beethoven’s Fifth?
IT’S BRITNEY, BITCH
Oh fuck yes this is one million percent my jam
24. Hall Of Weezer
HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING
Omg I love classical mashups
BANJO KAZOOIE SLEEPING NOISE OMG
Oh lol this is Weezer Say It Ain’t So
Oh gosh the tempo speed up is impressive for the Weezer song which is usually at a steady tempo! Dear god how long did this take to sync…
Modem load up noise… nice
And that’s the album! I might respond to myself and add a retrospective later once I find the track titles.

Billboard Taylor Swift's 2017: The Timeline 12/18/2017 by Allison Stubblebine From the record-breaking 'Reputation' to speaking out against sexual assault, Swift continued to change culture in 2017. Taylor Swift didn't do a lot in 2017... until she did. Following months spent attempting to fly under the radar, and the Instagram blackout of Aug. 2017, Swift took the rest of the year by storm, with a not-so-traditional album rollout for Reputation and a series of larger than life visuals to accompany the first singles. Fans got a sneak preview at what was to come from her personally curated Secret Sessions, but those were hidden away from the lens of the media. Now that Reputation is here to stay, Billboard has taken a look back at Swift's action packed year. Jan. 27 - “I Don’t Want to Live Forever” music video release Swift kicked off the New Year with the release of the visuals to Fifty Shades Darker track “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever.” Swift and former 1D artist Zayn trashed a hotel room for the video, lit by flashing shades of blue and red. The song peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Feb. 4 2017 - Taylor Swift plays “only show of 2017” Swift broke some disappointing news to fans during her pre-Super Bowl set for DIRECTV Now Super Saturday Night. "I have to be really honest with you about something: As far as I know, I'm doing one show in 2017. And as far as I know, this is that one show," Swift said long before the announcement of Reputation. She added, “You're the crowd in my most recent daydreams, when I'm thinking about being onstage, so I was wondering: If you don't feel like dancing for yourself or screaming for yourself, you don't feel in the mood or whatever, you're like stressed out, would you do it for me tonight?" Feb. 15-16 - TAS Rights Management, LLC filed nine separate trademarks for “Swifties” Swift’s brand nailed down the things most true to her: Swifties. Nine separate trademarks were filed for the word alone, including one involving “a website featuring non-downloadable audio recordings [and] video recordings.” The idea that Swift would launch her own streaming service was debunked. Mar. 2 - Ed Sheeran teases Swift’s upcoming album The singer revealed that his pal would be putting her music out quite late on in the year, saying, “Taylor [Swift] isn’t going to be releasing until probably the end of this year—Christmas is the smartest time to release because that’s when everyone buys records.” Looks like he was right. Mar. 10 - Man arrested for stalking/burglary inside Swift’s apartment building A man was arrested in Swift’s New York City building on charges of burglary, stalking, and trespassing. According to a Page Six report, the man allegedly hoped to meet the singer face-to-face. While the man was initially held on $20,000 bail, he was found unfit to stand trial and reportedly “placed in the custody of the New York State Office of Mental Health” as of late September. April 4 - “Busy working” on new album in Nashville After the singer had been spotted driving around Nashville, a source confirmed to ET that she’d come “to get away from the paparazzi,” and also that she had “been busy working on her upcoming album.” May 15 - She’s really in Nashville! Swift celebrates Mother’s Day at home with her mom TMZ did the heavy digging and proved that Swift really had been in Nashville - though she may have been hopping back and forth, as she was spotted getting onto her private jet after a spending the weekend with mama Swift for Mother’s Day. July 4 - Keeping it low-key for the first time in years on the Fourth of July Paparazzi were very upset that Swift didn’t have an Independence day blowout tailor-made for media, even though she'd been keeping a relatively low profile all year. Aug. 14 - $1 Countersuit Win The long-drawn-out legal battle between DJ David Mueller, who was accused of reaching under the pop star’s skirt to grope her during a photo shoot in 2013, was finally put to rest. After Mueller attempted to countersue for damages that occurred following Swift’s accusation (which was quietly made to the station, who promptly let him go), the singer was awarded a single symbolic dollar in damages. Swift’s attorney Douglas Baldridge explained the value, “It means no means no, and it tells every woman that they will determine what is tolerated with their body." Aug. 18-20 - Bye bye, old Taylor… and old posts In the internet-breaking fashion Swift seems to have perfected, the singer’s social media accounts went into full blackout mode. No old posts were to be found anywhere, signaling that she was gearing up to launch something huge. Aug. 21 - She’s back, but only with some snakes In one of the best social media moments of the year, Swift posted a three-part series of glitch-y snake videos without captions to her Instagram to break her short-lived blackout. The image of the snake had become synonymous with Swift’s internet-meme identity, following the drawn-out beef with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West regarding West’s “Famous” lyrics and video. Aug. 23 - It’s an album! After five days (AKA an eternity in Swiftie time), Swift revealed the project behind the social media madness. Continuing in the three-part posting style, Swift announced “FIRST SINGLE OUT TOMORROW NIGHT,” posted the cover art, and announced the release date for then-upcoming album Reputation. All posts were still caption-less. Aug. 24 - Look what you made her do. Swift released Reputation’s lead single “Look What You Made Me Do” with a clever caption on Instagram: “..ready for it? New single #LookWhatYouMadeMeDo out now.” Of course, the forthcoming track title remained an inside joke to the singer’s team upon posting time. Aug. 27 - Look what you made her do, part two. The singer premiered the visuals for “LWYMMD” at the 2017 MTV VMAs, snagging 43.2 million views in the first 24 hours alone, now standing with over 783 million views. The Joseph Kahn-directed visual is loaded with references to the “old Taylor,” including a tombstone for Nils Sjoberg, her songwriting pseudonym on ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris’ 2016 hit “This Is What You Came For,” nearly all of her most iconic outfits, more snakes, and nearly all her besties’ names scribbled on a new version of her “You Belong With Me” music video costume. Sept. 3 - “…Ready for It?” released Swift released the second track off Reputation after she previewed it on Saturday Night Football the night prior. It followed suit with the darker, much more dramatic new Taylor, yet gave no clearer picture of what was yet to come. Sept. 5 - No. 1, again Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" tops the Billboard Hot 100, where it would reign for three weeks. The song was her fifth Hot 100 No. 1 and broke the weekly streaming record for a song by a woman; it also stopped the record-tying 16-week reign of "Despacito." Sept. 7 - TayTay On Demand Ever wanted to know what Swift is up to at any given moment? Well this isn’t exactly that, but the trailer jokes that it will be. Swift announced her new video-on-demand channel in partnership with AT&T and DirectTV called Taylor Swift NOW, accompanied by a hilarious play-by-play of Swift’s day in the studio (complete with Andy Samberg cameo). Oct. 11 - The Swift Life app announced Stans will finally have a one-stop-shop for finding out everything there is to know about their fave singer. It is said to function as a social network of sorts, leaning into Swift’s hobby of “lurking” and replying to fans on social media, and also offering an opportunity to “collect Taymojis, stickers, pics, and more.” Oct. 20 - “Gorgeous” released The predictable yet addicting pop track the world was waiting for finally arrived. Swift sang of a romantic interest that was somehow too gorgeous for even a superstar like her to talk to. James Reynolds, two-year-old daughter of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, was later officially credited in album liner notes as the voice at the beginning of the track. Oct. 27 - “…Ready for it?” returns with visuals The fans surely weren’t ready for it, yet with the Joseph Kahn directed video packed with hidden messages, it wasn’t long before Swifties decoded them all. Among the most obvious are Swift’s birth year spray-painted on a wall, the Chinese characters for “Year of the Snake,” as well as a similar lightning strike in the intro to Calvin Harris’ “This is What You Came For” album art. Nov. 2 - “Call It What You Want” lyric video released Fans started to get a fuller picture of what was coming from Reputation in just over a week. Swift seemed to be finding her way to happiness in the first ballad to be released from the album, but she was still attempting to rid herself of the drama she’d endured. The day was special for more than one reason, coinciding with the 13th anniversary (Swift’s lucky number) of meeting Scott Borchetta, the Big Machine Records executive who signed her and gave her the fateful big break. Nov. 7 - Track list revealed on Swift’s Instagram Account Three days prior to the Reputation release date, Swift posted the back cover to the album, featuring the track listing. Nov. 8 - CMA Win Even though she's left country in the dust on her own albums, Swift's song for Little Big Town, "Better Man," nabbed song of the year at the 2017 CMAs. Nov. 9 - The album was leaked, and this is why we can’t have nice things In this day and age, so many albums leak prior to release date, but not quite in this fashion: missing from the leaked files was track no. 13, “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things.” Whether it was at the hands of Swift’s team, Swift herself, or a sneaky fan, it was quite the clever move. On the same day, an intimate recording “New Years Day” from what looks like a secret session was premiered on ABC during an episode of Scandal. Nov. 10 - Reputation is out everywhere, except for streaming services Reputation hit shelves and online retailers; a Target exclusive version included a magazine with poems and photos from Swift. She announced 20 days later that Reputation would be available to stream at midnight on Dec. 1. Nov. 11 - SNL Swift plays Saturday Night Live, busting out "...Ready for It?" and an acoustic "Call It What You Want." Nov. 13 - Tonight Show Following the death of Jimmy Fallon's mother, Taylor Swift agreed to appear on The Tonight Show to play a moving version of "New Year's Day." Nov. 20 - Reputation Is No. 1 Swift's Reputation becomes her fifth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Reputation notched 2017’s biggest week for an album, as the set earned 1.238 million equivalent album units in the week ending Nov. 16, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 1.216 million were in traditional album sales -- the largest sales frame for an album since 2015. It would hold the No. 1 spot for three weeks. Nov. 28 - Grammy Time The Taylor Swift-penned "Better Man" from Little Big Town is nominated for best country song -- which is a songwriter(s) award, so Swift will get a trophy if it wins. She's also nominated for best song written for visual media for her Zayn collab "I Don't Want to Live Forever." Dec. 1 - Taylors In the Stream Reputation appears on the major streaming services. Dec. 4 2017 - Reputation, but make it fashion (UK Vogue cover) Vogue UK revealed its first cover of the new year would feature Swift. Newly appointed Editor in Chief Edward Enninful styled the singer during his second cover after taking the reigns from Alexandra Shulman. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, also photographers for all Reputation visuals, shot the twelve-page spread. Two days later, the high fashion mag revealed a poem Swift wrote exclusively to run with the feature, titled, "The Trick to Holding On." Dec. 6 2017 - Swift is one of Time’s “Silence Breakers” Her summer court case was not meant to be a media spectacle, but it was meant to prove a point with the symbolic $1 request. As Time gave the platform to “The Silence Breakers,” women who helped bring sexual assault and harassment to the forefront of the national conversation, as its 2017 Person of the Year, Swift was among the individuals highlighted. The Time interview is the first time Swift has done press about the court case, and in it she detailed reaching out to Kesha for support, as well as her feelings as she sat in the courtroom. "I was angry. In that moment, I decided to forego any courtroom formalities and just answer the questions the way it happened,” Swift said. “This man hadn’t considered any formalities when he assaulted me, and his lawyer didn’t hold back on my mom -- why should I be polite? I’m told it was the most amount of times the word 'ass' has ever been said in Colorado Federal Court." Dec. 8 2017 - Swift Plays iHeartRadio’s Z100 Jingle Ball in NYC The pre-Super Bowl performance wasn’t her only concert of 2017, after all. Camila Cabello and Lindsay Lohan were Swift’s biggest fans at the show, posting videos dancing the night away to various social media platforms. Dec. 11 - Reputation Continues to Be Big Swift earned her 55th Hot 100 hit with Reputation album track "End Game," featuring rapping from Future, Ed Sheeran and herself. Dec. 13 - B'Day & Tix While some fans were able to buy tickets in advance, the general public tickets for Swift's Reputation Tour went on sale Dec. 13, 2017 -- not coincidentally her 28th birthday. She released a tour trailer to celebrate. Dec. 14 - Still Getting 'Ready' Swift dropped a lyric video for BloodPop's bouncy remix of "...Ready for It?"

Guess who just got back today?
youtube
“Intro/The Boys Are Back in Town (Live)”
So I think by now I’ve established the significance of Titus Andronicus’ music, and the sense of community that surrounded it, in the lives of myself and my best friends. I mention that because it’s only through the lens of that fandom that I can discuss Titus Andronicus LLC Mixtape Vol 1, a sprawling collection of demos, rarities, live cuts and covers that the band dropped for free in March 2012.
By then The Monitor was two years old, and it was still more than half a year before the album that would become Local Business would see the light of day. So, of course, we were starving for just about anything from our intrepid heroes. And though Titus Andronicus LLC Mixtape Vol 1 certainly wasn’t the new album I craved, it – for a couple of reasons – had great significance.
The mixtape begins with two live cuts, “Intro” and a cover of Thin Lizzy’s “The Boys Are Back In Town.” Both of these, I discovered to my absolute delight upon first listening to the mixtape, were recorded at an Asbury Park, NJ show in which myself and one of my best friends had been in attendance. “LISTEN!!!!!!,” I repeatedly exclaimed to my other best friend, who couldn’t make it that night, “THAT’S US CHEERING!!! THAT’S US IN THE CROWD!!!” Aside from being a means to annoy the everliving shit out of my friend who wasn’t present that day though, these two opening tracks are an eerie listen five years later.
“Intro” is simply an introductory monologue from Stickles, the sort that you can find on god knows how many live albums. In its second half, Stickles sounds off on Chris Christie, the governor who was then only loathed by progressive New Jerseyans for his veto of a bill that would have legalized same-sex marriage in the state. To this, Stickles says “he sucks, fuck him,” to the delight of myself and everyone else gathered in anticipation of the show to come.
Especially in light of the endless political shitstorm we Americans have been subjected to over the last four weeks, it’s – to focus on the Shakespearean rise and fall of Christie as a microcosm of the ugliness of American politics over the last five years – almost surreal to think back to a time before Bridgegate, before the presidential campaign, before Donald Trump, before the record-low approval ratings. Before Hurricane Sandy even. Stickles probably threw “Intro” onto the mixtape without much thought, but it now, in this terrifying period, serves as the strangest of time capsules.
The second track, Stickles and co.’s spirited take on one of classic rock’s ultimate bar-band, backyard barbecue standards is equally as weird a listen nowadays. Though it was a delightful surprise when the band opened with the song that night at the Stone Pony, the recording serves now as a foreshadowing of the disillusionment I would come to feel towards the group and some of its fans.
Nine months after the release of LLC, my friends and I found ourselves at Maxwell’s yet again, awaiting our spokesmen. The moment the band took the stage, and struck that famous opening chord – which I still associated more with a comically masculine Wrangler commercial than my favorite band – we exchanged somewhat bemused glances. Before we knew it though, these weary looks were cut off by a veritable ocean of impossibly large, baseball-cap-wearing dudes crashing into us with impossible force. Knocking us around like pinballs, these men also splashed the contents of their plastic cups all over us when the song arrived at the ubiquitous call-and-response chorus. Every guy with a beer was one of “The boys,” and the way they announced that they were “back in town” was by turning the floor into something out of a WWE match.
For the first time, I thought about how nice it would be if I could just, ya know, sit back and enjoy the show without having to become a human projectile. For the first time, I thought about how disorienting all this testosterone-driven madness must be for someone who, unlike me, had never particularly enjoyed moshing.
I mean, it’s not like it was a surprise that Titus had come to open their shows with an homage to classic rock. After all, The Monitor was definitely more Bruce Springsteen than it was Crass. But, despite how amazing it was to hear my own cheering on a semi-legit live album, “The Boys Are Back In Town” was the first indicator that my devotion to Titus Andronicus, and my willingness to get splattered with beer and pummeled for two hours on end, would perhaps fade with time.

Business Bourbon and Bullshit - Conversation with Bobby Walker and Michael Dahlke
Bobby Walker, Founder of TRT Pressure Washing & Window Cleaning, from being a corporate guy to a businessman who also has his own podcast and youtube channel to help new entrepreneurs how to start their business in the right way and not the bitchy way. From his first investment of a couple of hundred bucks, his business got a whopping six figures of revenue and of course growing. In return, he started his podcast Journey of a New Entrepreneur and his YouTube with his mission to discuss the issues that affect each minute of life while chasing dreams.
Michael Dahlke is an Entrepreneur, Investor, Coach since 2016 but he’s been a CEO for almost 7 years of Eide Scott, Inc and was the President of ASP Screening, LLC for almost 3 years. Now he is focusing on both coaching and deploying growth capital to investors on how to execute on their biggest and best opportunities and helping distressed companies navigate large one time, but solvable problems with leadership, strategy, and capital.
Please listen to these two great guys on how they strategize and hit their target revenue per year. Learn how these two BBB masterminds tackle their approach and tactics on how to run a business.
“And I think that a lot of people make the mistake of saying I want to have a $10 million business when what they really want is a $700,000 business with a great lifestyle.  And there's nothing wrong with that either. So understanding what the end goal is important”. - Michael Dahlke
“So I'm cutting out 3% of my company's revenue, but the reason I'm doing it is so I could raise our businesses, our technicians’ efficiency on the day and actually get more revenue done each day and ultimately make more money. Yeah, so yeah, we're cutting out a little bit of revenue that we're getting, but it's going to free us up to do more of that good stuff that allows our technicians to make that higher hourly rate.” - Bobby Walker
Topics Covered:
4:47 - Bobby shares his 15-second story of how he started, oh, it went beyond. But who cares? This guy’s motivation is so inspiring. Who could resist?
13:35 - A recurring revenue model is a business model where the revenue is predictable, stable, and likely to continue in the future.
15:18 - Upselling a strategy that you could add to your list. Don’t be shy to suggest to your customers, have them realize the benefit of getting an added value and what that will do for them. Emphasize this. What in it for them?? Then you upsell.
17:48 - Fright hinders your ability to move forward. Remove that fear and have the courage to step up. You will not grow if you’re just sitting in your comfort zone. Move out from that box and start building yourself.
19:13 - Another strategy that you could get into your list is, don’t hesitate to get people to work for you. Instead of thinking of how do you grow your business, think of “who” could help you grow your business. And we are talking about the people. Your EMPLOYEES. Who could do the job for you. Business is not a one-man island, my friend. You should get someone to do things for you because you can’t do it all alone.
21:16 - Yes. Risk is a major issue for entrepreneurs. The risk that is developing fear. Fear of different things. Even they were able to reach the top game, these two awesome men still have fears. But, as investors and entrepreneurs, you gotta pull out the fear and be consistent about it. Risk is always there. It will always be there.

Key Takeaways
“I want to just explain what not being a bitches and what the no bitch zone is about. A bitch is not someone that whines because I'm not a bitch and I whine sometimes. A bitch is not someone that gets kicked and feels down and because we all do when I say bitch, the definition of the bitch in the no bitch zone is someone that doesn't pursue their goals because of what other people may say Think or Do, including themselves or someone that blames other people for their failures or lack of success. So I think that one of the biggest keys to personal growth and development is being honest when you look in the mirror, and if you're fat, don't say, I'm not fat, I'm big-boned. say, No, I'm fat. And then I can actually come up with a good strategy to do it. So don't be a bitch. Don't blame others for your failures. Don't let others discourage you, or your own fear discourage you from pursuing it. Don't be a bitch, pursue your dreams.”  - Bobby Walker
“The technician that's running the business, the technician is running, it thinks that quality needs to be a 10 out of 10. And that's why he feels that he's the one that needs to do it. And the fact is, the customer is probably like a static and thrilled with a seven out of 10, or an eight out of 10. And you can hire people that can do that eight out of 10. And the customer doesn't even know the difference. They're just as happy with that eight as they are with a 10. You gave them the value that they wanted, they gave you the value that you wanted, which was the money and there was a fair exchange there.” - Bobby Walker
“The concept for the people who are listening is that if you're out there, working your butt off right now, and you've got a full cup, your glass is completely full, and you go to a convention, or you read this book, or you listen to this podcast, and your glass is full, and you go to put stuff in there, it's just not gonna fit, you're just gonna go right over the top, and it's gonna overflow. But if you can dump a little bit out, then you can put some more in. So the concept is that if we can eliminate some stuff that we're doing from our business or our lives, we can eliminate some of the delegate some of those stuff, it'll free up some time, so that we can input the new things that we want to try the new idea that getting off the truck, the doing the marketing plan, the systematizing, the business, all that sort of stuff, but if we don't dump out that cup of little, there's no room in our life state. Do anything different.” - Michael Dahlke
“There's no substitute for the hard work and the rugged individualists that goes out there and fires from dusk to dawn. And does that to get ahead like there is something to be said that after you've gotten an established business, and I don't mean a $5 million business, but I mean, you've got some revenue coming in, you're paying your bills, you're doing the stuff after that. My words of wisdom would be to start thinking about systematizing the business and thinking about how to recruit and get really good at business So get good at business. Don't be just good at lawncare window cleaning, that sort of thing. The people who are gonna win if their goal is to grow is to get good at business.” - Michael Dahlke

Yeah.
Keith Kalfas  1:58
Oh, we can't?
  Bobby Walker  1:59
Not in that room. In this room, you can
  Keith Kalfas  2:01
Oh, dude. What's up? Okay, so I'm gonna do something special here. Right sitting across from me is Michael Dahlke. And I first heard about this guy and Joshua Latimer interviewed him. And they're like, this guy's just millions of dollars buying and selling businesses and I watched the interview and Michael Dahlke is just a normal dude. I met him at  AGS Conquer. When I met Bobby Walker a few years ago. It's just a live event where people get breakthroughs in their businesses and Michael Dahlke I was a little nervous. I'm like, "Bro, you're that Michael Dahlke guy, that financial guru. You're so cool." And Michael looked at me and he's, he's like, "Bro, Keith Kalfas I watched your videos, man. I love that one video" and I was like, "Michael Dahlke, he knows who I am?"
  2:42
Because being in the position of a guy that's, you know, started his business and hasn't crossed the million-dollar mark. We look to guys like that, who have figured it out. And they have mentors of their own. I'm sure like Michael has mentors of his own, but we looked at people like that. Then I met Bobby Walker. Here's another guy and he'll tell his story briefly. You can Go to Journey of a New Entrepreneur Podcast. But he was a guy who is in a corporate job and literally lost a job overnight when it started a window cleaning business and now he plans on doing about a million bucks this year. I don't know in spite of the Coronavirus thing but you've built a multiple six-figure is a seven.
  Bobby Walker  3:18
No. I don't have a million-dollar business probably won't this year. I was ahead of pace. I thought I was gonna crush it and we're pretty far behind. It's unlikely, not impossible. That will hit a million but, I wouldn't bet the money on it this year.
  Keith Kalfas  3:32
Okay, and the interesting thing about Bobby has this no bitches zone. Like literally this morning. I got into my hotel in Nashville because I live in Detroit at three o'clock in the morning to get any sleep. I was a little frustrated and I texted a little excuse on boxer to Bobby, like, "Hey, I'm gonna be late because I didn't get any sleep." And he literally texted me back. You're a bitch. And I got angry on my f** came with like this little thing. And I'm like, No, I like that. I like that because I am being a bitch right now in any type of excuse for being a bitch. So I'm going to do something special here since I only got two mics and I want to turn it over Bobby Walker, man, you're f** awesome.
4:11
Thank you so much for what you're doing and like you're helping a lot of guys out in the industry start and go through that entrepreneurial journey. And then we have Michael Dahlke here. So I'm gonna hand over the microphone to Mike and Bobby. And then they're gonna talk and conversate about what's going on at this Private Mastermind Group called Business Bourbon and Bullshit, and talk about some of the frameworks that you need to think through to get your business to the next level. And a lot of it revolves around just don't be a bitch, but there's also not just not being a bitch, because you could go work yourself to death and that gets you anywhere. It's about having a strategy. So Michael Dahlke, here you go.
Bobby shares his 15-second story of how he started, and oh, it went beyond. But who cares? This guy’s motivation is so inspiring. Who could resist?
  Bobby Walker  4:47
Well, Keith gets the mic over. On Mike. I'll just share my, the 15-second version of my story and Keith, thank you for having us on man. And Keith. I don't know I'm not getting audio in my ears, but that's fine with me. I just want to make sure that's not messing up. I want to make sure you're getting an input here from my audio, but, uh, wow, I can hear it now. Yeah. So actually, if you can turn me down a little bit though, my 15-second story is this I was sick of my corporate career, I was looking for a service business that I could start on the side and eventually make it my main gig. As a result, I was searching YouTube for ideas. I stumbled across a video that Keith did of saying, "Here's how you can start a window cleaning business with no money." He walks into Home Depot and says "Buy these things". It was about 50 bucks. And then he walked out front and said "Charge this much for this kind of Windows. So there you go. You just started a window cleaning company for no money." About three hours later, I found out I was losing my job. I got a phone call, telling me that's losing my job.
  5:46
So I literally the next morning, I drove to Home Depot with my son. We pulled that video up on my phone. And we bought two of everything because my son who was a senior in high school wanted to do this with his dad. And you know, and you're number one we did about 100 I can't remember 120 130 in revenue, your number two we did like 300. And I think I'm rounding up to 350. And then at the end of year three, we had done a total of a million dollars in our first three years window cleaning and pressure washing. And as Keith said, I had a goal of a million dollars this year, which is your number four, we came out of the gates just rocking and rolling and then honestly Corona's impacted us quite a bit.
6:22
You know, we had to scale back a little bit with employees, but we're I think we're kind of back on trending up and as I'm saying all this I'm looking at Mike next to me here who hasn't said a word yet but Mike, I found him again through Josh Latimer and Mike has become a business partner of mine he's invested in my business and he's helping guide me You know, I think I kind of hit the ceiling of my natural talent or he said you know, you can only use the Don't be a bitch thing so much you know, effort only gets you so far and I bought brought Mike and help with some strategy and thinking that we can build something really big and beautiful here and so that's who I am. I said 15 seconds as two minutes, which is still probably really good for me. But yeah, you got Mike Dahlke here. So, what's up, Mike?
Mike Dahlke  7:01
First of all, thanks, Keith, for having me and allowing me to add value and be useful. It's been really, really cool to see it and spend time with you and get to know you. You know, Bobby, you say that and I think the part that most people don't know and I'd love for you to share is the part where you, we could talk about Business, Bourbon, and Bullshit, but the part that you were not growing anymore, you kind of gotten a low and you had a phone call with a very special mentor. Who didn't say don't be a bitch, no bitch zone but he said something very similar. And then you want to tell them real quick. I think it's really good.
Bobby Walker elaborates how his mentor (Josh Latimer) helped him on some business strategies and made him realize some pointers for business
  Bobby Walker   7:33
Okay, so if we're playing the Josh Latimer drinking game, I think it's time for everyone to take their third or fourth shot. But so, if you're listening to Keith's podcast, you probably know who Josh is because I know Keith talks to him a lot. He talks about him a lot. And Josh is someone I had found I was listening to his podcast and I'd reached out to him and Josh had been kind of mentoring me a little bit, you know, give me a tip here and there as much as he could. And I did. I came out of the gates doing really good at the very beginning of our business the first two or three months, and then, I don't know, month four, so we just hit a wall. And we did virtually no revenue. I think we did $2800 in revenue in the month of June of my first year, which I used to have a salary and bonus structure I was making close to 150 a year, so $2800 even if there's no expenses, isn't cutting it you know, and so I'm stressed, I'm scared, I'm panicking. I sent Josh a message.
 8:26
And he's like, give me your phone number. I'm just gonna call you real quick. Get on the phone. And I already told you the position I was in. So instead of telling you the whole story, here's basically what Josh said is now my words, not his, but it's what I heard. Even though it's not the words he said, "Listen, bitch. If you're not cleaning something, you need to be handing out flyers. If you're not handing out flyers, it can only be because you're cleaning something and if you're doing anything else, you're kidding yourself and you're lying to yourself that you're trying to grow your business. Those are the only two things that matter right now." He gave me a little strategy behind it, but he basically said, "If you're not doing flyers or door-knocking when you're not cleaning, never call me again." And I didn't even need him to say the last part because I was desperate. And I'm like, this guy knows what he's talking about. And that's what we did. And then our company just, honestly, just, we never looked back. You know, we went from $2800 to, I think three months later, we were doing $30,000 in revenue, and then we've continued to climb. So
  Michael Dahlke  9:23
Yeah, did he say something along the lines of don't come home? At the end of the day? Like, Don't go Don't come home at one like you still have to work like, a full day?
  Bobby Walker    9:31
Yeah, yeah. Yes, he did. I was trying.  I talk a lot, Mike. I was trying to keep it short. But I think I got the gist. But yeah, and I think maybe the point you're trying to get is there's two things. There's hard work. But then there's key said it's the strategy too, you know, and we've got to be it's not just working hard, but working hard on the right things.
  Michael Dahlke  9:50
Yeah, absolutely. And when I hear that story, when I think about the people who are just getting started, I think about the hundreds of thousands of flyers that nobody knows that we put outgrowing our business from 60,000 to over 3 million it the there is a certain amount of rugged individualism that you need when you get started. Yeah that you just gotta work. There's no other option other than just do the work. And part of what Business Bourbon and Bullshit is, is that after you've hit a certain level of just working and putting out those flyers and doing all those things you get in the habit of being a rugged individualist and going out there and just putting out flyers and doing the thing, and you hit that second wall and you go, "Well, why am I stuck now?" And that's where we have this event where it really it's about getting out of some of those individualist habits, working on the business but also working on your own mentality. So when you think about what we did today, what some of the key takeaways is you've got,
  Bobby Walker    10:49
Well for me now I've been to BBB for I've been coming for multiple events. This is probably my fifth or sixth one that I've been to so not just a snapshot of today. But just the general idea and the best takeaway that I get from it, aside from the networking because just being a part of a group of great guys is there's value in that is the strategy of not planning for three years down the road or planning. I'm not saying setting goals there's no setting a goal and planning Okay?
11:21
We have a three year goal you know, we have a 10 year goal or whatever but planning for a quarter at a time we start the year we say here's what I want the end of the year to look like and then the very first BBB is all about what do we got to do in quarter one to be prepared for quarter two to be prepared for quarter three so on and so forth to hit that goal and that's made a huge difference for me because I wasn't doing that before I got involved with you and met you and I think there's just psychology behind it to the fact that we just as humans have a hard time we have a hard time looking a year from you know, we can look at it but I think we get fatigued you know we get fatigued trying to make work that plan so if I can just get three months into my plan is good and that's what I love about this event is that, It helps me do that, you know, helps me identify the things I need to fix. And then a short time to do.
  Michael Dahlke 12:05
Yeah, you know, Kaplan, Michael Kaplan, who you know, and its partners say, "I don't know color those guys is going to be a year from now. I don't. How can I think that far ahead? Yeah, I have to have the goals. But as far as when I can move my feet and take action and make real progress. After 90 days, I can't tell you if there's gonna be a Coronavirus or if someone's gonna fly planes into the Twin Towers. Yeah. So I'm gonna come up with my 90-day plan, and I'm gonna work my tail off on 90 days, and then I'm gonna wake up and go, Wow, I got further than I ever thought I would. Let's do it again. Let's push a little bit harder."
  Bobby Walker 12:34
Yeah.  Mike, you know what? You're pretty cool guy when we're recording stuff. Normally, you're, you're not as cool. I don't know.
  Michael Dahlke 12:40
I kind of typically refer to me as Rain Man, which means I have no Social Skills whatsoever. So I appreciate that Bud.
  Bobby Walker  12:46
So for everyone listening, Mike and I become really good friends. We came, I would say we became buddies and then became business partners, and we'd become good friends, and we're definitely different personality types. But I think that's kind of what makes a great marriage. You know, as I've gotten stuff, some of the stuff you like, and you got a lot of the stuff I like, but I love busting your balls. So
  Michael Dahlke 13:06
Yeah, appreciate that. So when you think about the people that are listening to this podcast here, when you think about the $10,000 idea, so one of the concepts that we bring to the mastermind is that everyone who comes has to be a giver, not a taker? You have to generously give. And at a typical event, and this is not a knock on large events, typical event, you have a lot of people in one speaker and that one speaker gives and then a lot of people take that information here, everyone has to give, everyone has to give a $10,000 idea. It's tried and true. And he said, if you implement it, you will make $10,000 in your business. So when you think about the last, I don't know, two years, three years of coming. If you think about the $10,000 ideas that you've implemented, what's one or two that’s useful to someone who listens to the podcast?
A recurring revenue model is a business model where the revenue is predictable, stable, and likely to continue in the future.
  Bobby Walker 13:55
The number, hands down, the number one for me was doing a Recurring revenue model with some window cleaning. Our business is mostly pressure washing at this point. But last year was my first year coming. And it was January of 2019 that I came and someone shared that idea. They basically just shared a strategy that they use to get people on quarterly window cleaning accounts, which I was not having success at all with. And I implemented it. And truth be told, I didn't execute the best I did execute on it, but not as good as I could have. But when I hit January, one of 2020, I can't remember the exact number, I think, but I think we had like $55,000 of revenue on the books that were just from those quarterly window cleaning accounts that I sold. God knows how long ago and didn't have to do any other work for other than just go out and clean them. So that was just something that I showed up. There was you know, one of the attendees. He had a little paper with him to say like, "here's how I do it." I took it home, made a little modification for my business and boom, we were off and running.
  Michael Dahlke    14:51
And how much are you doing quarterly Recurring service right now? An annual basis?
  Bobby Walker  14:56
I don't know the answer to that right now, Mike.
  Michael Dahlke  14:58
But it's enough? Way more than $10,000?
  Bobby Walker 15:00
Way more than 10 passes. Yeah, I'm embarrassed to tell you I don't. I'm changing CRM, so it's easier for me to keep. That's my excuse. That's my bitch excuse.
  Michael Dahlke 15:09
Fair enough. You know, there's been so many good $10,000 ideas, think about 30 people coming and sharing
  Bobby Walker  15:14
You can't implement them all, you know, yeah. And they don't all apply.
  Michael Dahlke 15:18
But you know the one that's my favorite and we've implemented it but we probably haven't done as good a job as we could have. We've implemented a lot of them is one of the guys from New Jersey. He had said he knows when you're up and cleaning a roof and you've got that pipe comes out. And there's a little rubber thing that goes around the pipe and it gets worn out. Take this new rubber thing that cost like 10 bucks and put it over the top and caulk it down. Yeah, and charge $75 or
Upselling a strategy that you could add to your list. Don’t be shy to suggest to your customers, have them realize the benefit of getting an added value and what that will do for them. Emphasize this. What in it for them?? Then you upsell.
  Bobby Walker  15:43
I think he's I think he charges 200
  Michael Dahlke 15:45
It's like $150 to put the $7 ring over the pipe and do it. I said people were doing it all the time. Like no one wants to get up on the roof and there's fear and there's this and his upsells were through the roof. And that same guy today talked about how he was training his technicians to do upsells. And from a just a practical standpoint, even if it's you as the only technician when you're out there in you've got a $600 job today. And that's all you got on the schedule, and you can get another $200. Holy cow!
  Bobby Walker   16:14
That's huge. Yeah, yeah.
Michael Dahlke  16:15
Over the course of the year.  That's, that's an extra 50 grand.
  Bobby Walker  16:19
Yeah. And that's why I love, love this event. I participate in a lot of events, you know, and when I say a lot if you take BBB I probably participate like three others during the year, so I participate in what I think is a lot of events. But the big difference here, and this doesn't, I want to be real clear. The ones I participate in, I do it because they're great events. But what I like about this one is we because you got people that are bringing the ideas and they have to be a giver in it. If you have a different like, quality or standard of person that's here, and then naturally that makes the receiving part that much better because we have a room instead of having that one guy that's given. We literally have 31 guys that are doing it, you know.  So it's good stuff. Let me ask you a question. I want to ask you a question for this audience unless you want to go further on this particular topic.
  Michael Dahlke17:08
Go for it.
  Bobby Walker  17:09
What do you see, you know, because you talk to a lot of business owners and people that are struggling and help people turn their businesses around, let's say, someone's not the new guy. Because we kind of know everyone kind of knows the strategy to win when you're starting grassroots. You bust your ass, you get in front of a lot of people every day, even if you're bad at sales, you'll have some success, you know if you're working hard enough, and you can get better in the strategy, but let's say if we're talking about, I don't know, lawn care as well, but you know, the window cleaning kind of thing like a company gets to that 3- $400,000 range annually, they tend to hit a ceiling there. What's the problem? Because you were talking about it like that's where BBB is kind of the solution? What do you guys need to be looking at that they're doing wrong when they start hitting that ceiling?
  Michael Dahlke 17:48
So you know, a lot of things could be doing wrong at that spot. But the two mindsets that we talked about a lot of BBB. It's one of the things that we talked about every single time. The two mindsets are, the first is always have courage instead of thinking about where you're at today have the courage to do the next thing. I've been very fortunate to have gotten connected to the Strategic Coach and listen to other podcasts and they say courage over comfort and the other one that they talked. So first of all courage over comfort. So the guy that's there, he's got a, he's got, he's kind of in cashflow purgatory. So he can't get to the--
Fright hinders your ability to move forward. Remove that fear and have the courage to step up. You will not grow if you’re just sitting in your comfort zone. Move out from that box and start building yourself
  Bobby Walker   18:22
What do you mean by that just in case someone doesn't understand?
  Michael Dahlke 18:24
Yeah, so someone's out there. And when you're the guy doing the work in the field, you've you're making money because you're doing the labor in the field. And then you hire somebody, and you're marketing and you're doing these things, and all of a sudden, you're not in the field anymore. So you lose the cash flow to yourself, personally, that you were making as the lead technician. And now you're in the office and you maybe have an office person and you have some overhead and you have you want to take you to know, $50,000 home to your family and you're not doing the work. So you're taking all of the profits. Well now you have to reinvest back into your business, and you're like, Where am I gonna get that money? Yep. So I'm in cut. You're in capsule purgatory. You don't have enough to invest. But you also need to be able to pay your family and do those things.
  Bobby Walker  18:25
I've been there for about a year.
  Michael Dahlke 19:06
Yeah,  it's really a special place that you want to get out of as fast as you frickin can.
Bobby Walker 19:11
 I wouldn't call it special.
  Michael Dahlke 19:13
Yeah, so it happens at various different levels. And I don't know, lawn care as much as I know, window cleaning, but there's a couple of levels where you hit it, and we hit it up blue skies, even when we were in the million-dollar ransom, we were adding leaders to the program does the same thing. So having the courage to either make the financial investment or make the investment of time to go at it really hard again, because you've gotten 400,000 You don't have to get on the ladder anymore. Maybe you're off the truck and you’re going, "Ah, that's really good". But to get to the next level, you still got to give something up and have the courage to do it.
Another strategy that you could get into your list is, don’t hesitate to get people to work for you. Instead of thinking of how do you grow your business, think of “who” could help you grow your business. And we are talking about the people. Your EMPLOYEES. Who could do the job for you. Business is not a one-man island my friend. You should get someone to do things for you because you can’t do it all alone.
19:43
The second one that we talked about that's also stolen from the Strategic Coach is borrowed. I don't know if I should say but is, “to think who, not how.” And that concept, changed my life in my business because whenever I had a goal, there's watching Dan Sullivan talk about this and he'd say Your goal is to get to $3 million. The first thought you have as an entrepreneur is how do I do that? And or you say, hey, I need to do you know, I need to get into lawn care. How do I do that? That's the first thought naturally. And where he blew my mind was when he said, “You need to think who can help me do that. And I need to focus on what I'm the best at and what I'm uniquely gifted.” I think I'm going to this fastball. I'm gonna throw this fastball all the time. I'm not also the home run hitter. So I need to get somebody on the team that I can collaborate with that I can think about that. So when you're in that, and you're looking to get off, and you got to have some risk tolerance didn't either make the financial investment or whatnot. But you also got to start thinking about the team. And who can answer the phone for me, who can buy, or who can, who do I need to lead the team, who do I need to do these things, and you start needing to free up your time by finding the right person and the right people to be on the team.
Bobby Walker   20:53
I don't know if we need to go deep on this. But just as we're talking about, you know, the who the people I talked to tend to have one of two issues. When it comes to finding the who one of them is, I can do it better myself. And then I think the other one is just fear. Like, what if I can't provide for that person? Is that the typical what you see with people that struggle with adding people at that point?
  Michael Dahlke   21:14
I do. What about for you? What will be the one for you?
  Bobby Walker   21:16
For me what my personal issue was because I couldn't wait to get other people to do it. I was terrified that I was gonna bring someone on and then not be able to provide for them and ruin their lives. You know, that was kind of my fear which looking back at it now and I don't have a ton of employees today but that's kind of comical today to look back on. But that was a real fear for me, you know, at the time
Yes.
  Michael Dahlke  21:35
Yeah. Joshua Latimer drinking game, so take your shot, but one of the things that he said at the AGS ex event or a just live that Keith was at that we were all sitting down and talking about his he said, "For a tree to go up, the seed first has to go down." And when he said that, I mean he’s a brilliant presenter, like I wish I was YouTube. I YouTubed in the last like our video, but he was talking about if you want to grow and you to expand if you first your bank account has to go down before it goes back up. And the concept of investing in the same way, if you put money into an investment in your bank account went down, but you're hoping it goes back up. And so for me, the fear was always that I wasn't gonna get the money back, that I was gonna lose the money. And I had to come to my wife and say, “You know, I invest in $20,000 into this thing, and we lost it all.” And, you know, I was always so afraid to lose the money. And as the money became less important, and focus more on the people and things like that, it was a lot easier to make those investments like we've made in you and not worry about it, it goes down, some of them are gonna go up somewhere, but that is I hope so. At some point here, right? No, but that would that would be for me, the fear of not providing but also the fear of just the loss was really hard for me.
Bobby Walker  22:48
What do you? So, I'll say this, the solution to the two issues we were just talking about, which are similar mine's fear of you know, losing a person, yours fear of losing cash, you know, but like it was, and I think the solution As you just get over and do it, you just got to do it except that's how the world works You know? And sometimes you fail. What do you say to the people that say no one can do it as good as me?
  Michael Dahlke   23:09
Well, first of all to your first point about just do it like that's a pretty standard no bitch sound type of comment, so, Way to be consistent.
Bobby Walker  23:15
Thank you and disagree.
  Michael Dahlke   23:19
To the person who says nobody can do it as good as me, I say you're absolutely right. I guarantee you. You're right on some things like there is some things that you can do that's better than anybody else. But that doesn't mean you should do it.
  Bobby Walker  23:31
That can't like I disagree with you so much.
  Michael Dahlke  23:34
Okay, well, here. Tell me what you think.
  Bobby Walker  23:35
Mine is. Like, who do you think you are? You think that you're the world's best mower? No, you're not. There are other people out there that are better than you and they'll do it for less. So go hire that mower, man.
  Michael Dahlke  23:46
No, I'm the world's best mower. Didn't you notice?
  Bobby Walker  23:49
You've got a valid point. I think we both have valid points, but I get what you're saying is Yeah, you are maybe, you are the best one but just because you are doesn't mean they should be the one doing it. Yeah.
  Michael Dahlke   24:00
Well here's an example and we've talked about this in BB and I'll go two ways with it. But I am the world's best mower and I haven't mowed my lawn in two years, right? My lawn is immaculate and it looks beautiful and Carlos is freakin phenomenal and he tells me what I needed to do. And we have an understanding I it takes me about 11 seconds to mow my lawn and I write the check and I give it to Carlos and he does everything. He's the who to how do I get my lawn to look beautiful? So I feel like I am the world's best lawn mower now we talked about this in one of the BBB's and I don't mean to sound arrogant when I say this or like it pompous but last year at the BBB in January. I was redoing a bathroom and I had the like rugged individualist. I grew up from nothing like my dad, you know worked road construction. My mom babysat for extra money. We always had to cut firewood and sell it for extra money. We were not silver students, Moon type people, right. So everything that was done around the house. We did. If we were. If the roof was bad, we roof if the plumbing was bad, we were plumbers.
  25:04
So we just naturally had to do that. So when it came time to redo the bathroom in the basement at the house, of course, I'm going to do it. And I use the full focus planner, which is one of the things from the event. And at the end of the first quarter, I looked at how much time I spent doing the bathroom, working on the bathroom. And I mean, so embarrassed to say I actually spent more time on that I did work out my business. Because every day I would come home. And I had two YouTube videos of like, how to tile the floor, or how to use this flex piping and like how did and I'd have to watch like six of them because I didn't know if I was doing it right it's I'm spending all this time again. And it's like three months later, and I'm looking at it and going, oh my god. I'm like not even halfway and wasted my life on this project. And it was all because I wanted to save a little bit of money. And actually, some guy was doing the neighbors and he came over and he's like, I was like, just give me a quote on doing So I just, I'm done. And he was telling me how he listens to Keith Kalfas
  Bobby Walker  26:05
Oh, that's awesome.
  Michael Dahlke   26:05
I'm not joking. Like 100% dead serious. And I was like, I know Keith. I was like I pulled up my FB account. Like, “Here he sent me a message the other day.” Like, it was so cool. I felt like, I felt like such big all that to say. What we did was we said, Man, I really shouldn't be focused on doing these home projects, the things that I can do without thinking I'm going to do but if I need to learn something new to reseal my driveway or to do the bathroom, we're just going to hire it out. So we found somebody in our local community who needed some extra money. He had some child support issues, who was also a handyman, and I made a deal with him that I would pay him X dollars a month, and he would come in there would be a list on the board on a whiteboard. And he would come in he would pick off as many as he could for 25 bucks an hour on all of the things on the list. So my wife wants the deck railings redone here. It's on there. We need this done. It's on there
Michael Dahlke gave an example of how hiring someone in your business. Or getting someone to work for you helps you. Either you hire people to help you with your business. Or you hire people to do the job for you to fix things. Doing so could help you save time, so you could focus more on your business
27:00
So he won because I was a hero to him because I gave him some money that he desperately needed at that time. He was a hero to me because I'm no longer spending time thinking about how to tile my bathroom, I can spend something more valuable. How do I invest in Bobby Walker? How do I help him grow his business? So that change in mindset from I gotta do it because that's who I am. That's what my dad taught me. I gotta do this. This is ingrained in who I am. I'm a blue-collar kid from Wisconsin. Farm town likes country music, and like has no like, silver spoon. I can't hire someone to do this. And now it's like, Man, what if I go broke through that mentality so long ago and my life would be completely different.
  Bobby Walker  27:39
I couldn't agree more. And this is this next thing I'm going to say is going to be really should be a whole different podcast. I know. We don't have a lot of time left on this one. But for the guys that are like, Well, I do it the best, something that you've got to understand and I'm positive Keith has some content out there with this topic. I just couldn't tell you where to find it. So maybe Keith can tell you here at the end, but the technician that's running the business, the technician is running, it thinks that quality needs to be a 10 out of 10. You gave them the value that they wanted, they gave you the value that you wanted, which was the money and there was a fair exchange there. And I think that sometimes it's not just arrogance that someone doesn't want to bring on the other person, but they're scared that if they bring someone on, you're not going to be able to get there.
  28:38
Now there's a lot to it, you got to train the person, you got to delegate properly, you've got to empower them, you got to check up on them and inspect what you expect and blah, blah, blah, but the very first step is hire that person, show them how you want it done. And then watch them do it and be okay with that eight out of 10 when you're 10 out of 10 and when you think don't think for a second that no ones gonna be able to do it as good as you just got a look around any big city you live in here. And every large building is full of people that don't own the company are full of people that don't do it as good as the owner would do it there. It's just full of people that do it good enough to get the desired result.
  Michael Dahlke 29:14
That's really interesting. And you know, we were talking a lot about technician mindsets. And one of the things that we always talked about was we didn't want to be really good at cleaning windows, you know, what the people on my team needed me to be as to be really good at business. And if I was really bad at business, they weren't gonna have jobs. If I was good at business, they could do great. They needed to learn to be good at window cleaning, more home cleaning, or soft washing or whatever, insert home surface here. And so we took a different approach right away and said if we're gonna if we're ever going to get off the truck, and I was on the truck and answer the phone on the ladder and did all this, those things, we got to be good at business. And I had to focus on learning business, not windows. And then when we got people underneath us, we had to say, Okay, you got to get really good at windows. It's not that hard. You can watch a million podcasts and do this thing, but be The window whisperer doesn't help you as much as being really good at business and having seven window whispers.
  Bobby Walker  30:05
Yeah, the only thing that helps you with is if your goal is to work till you die and to be the guy on the ladder every day of your life if that's your goal, you're the one who whispers. And there's nothing wrong with the damn thing wrong with it. Yeah,
  Michael Dahlke  30:19
Absolutely. And I think that a lot of people make the mistake of saying I want to have a $10 million business when what they really want is a $700,000 business with a great lifestyle.  And there's nothing wrong with that either. So understanding what the end goal is, is important. I think as well if you'd like to, you know, work six months out of the year and take winters off and you're in Minnesota. It's a great life. If you've got employees and overhead to think about it makes it a lot tougher. That's just some thoughts.
Bobby Walker  30:48
Yeah, good stuff.
  Michael Dahlke  30:49
Bobby, what else when you think about kind of wrapping up here. If you were, to sum up the maybe one key framework or concept that we went through today that's been impactful to your business that would be impactful to some of Keith's listeners. What would that be?
  Bobby Walker   31:08
You put me on the spot.
  Michael Dahlke  31:09
So impactful.
  Bobby Walker  31:10
Yeah, well, no, there's a lot and I'm not gonna lie my brain’s fried. But I think one of the very first things we do at every event, one of the first things we do is we establish, I should say, the first two things we do. The first one is to establish, what do I need to stop doing? I no longer need to do this for the health of my business. This is not good for us. And then the second one is what do I need to delegate? So stop doing doesn't mean you're the only one It just means that we don't do it anymore? And then the second one is, what do you need to delegate to something, your company still needs to do it but you don't. So the example that if we stick with the what the analogy we've been using is I'm going to delegate window cleaning to a technician. So I can focus on the marketing and the sales and scale the business and I would say those two things is the very first step or very First two steps. But that may be the greatest single thing out of this whole that we do.
  Michael Dahlke  32:06
Yeah, and I would echo that. doing this for three years. And now how long we've been doing this and going through and thinking about the things I was doing, and that I've eliminated and the concept for the people who are listening is that if you're out there, working your butt off right now, and you've got a full cup, your glass is completely full, and you go to a convention, or you read this book, or you listen to this podcast, and your glass is full, and you go to put stuff in there, it's just not gonna fit, you're just gonna go right over the top, and it's gonna overflow. Do anything different.
  Bobby Walker  33:01
Well, and one real brief example for us, you know, so my company we do pressure washing and window cleaning, one of the things we're stopping doing is interior window cleaning. So I'm cutting out 3% of my company's revenue, but the reason I'm doing it is so I could raise our businesses, our technicians’ efficiency on the day and actually get more revenue done each day and ultimately make more money. Yeah, so yeah, we're cutting out a little bit of revenue that we're getting, but it's going to free us up to do more of that good stuff that allows our technicians to make that higher hourly rate.
  Michael Dahlke    33:29
That's awesome. That's awesome. So wrapping up final words of wisdom from the day to Keith's listeners?
  Bobby Walker  33:37
Okay, I've got I'm gonna have to go back to the wheelhouse for me and I want to just explain what not being a bitches and what the no bitch zone is about. Don't be a bitch, pursue your dreams. And what I say every time I sign off of a podcast is if you're not doing the things you want in life, you better have a damn good reason for it. But if you're not pursuing those things, there's no good reason for it. And I think that's great advice. If I say so myself.
  Michael Dahlke   34:42
That's awesome.
  Bobby Walker  34:43
 What about you?
  Michael Dahlke   34:44
Last Words of wisdom? Yeah, listen to Bobby Walker and Keith Kalfas. I think that's where I would go you know, my words of wisdom from the guy who started and you know, the first at $60,000 a year in revenue on the truck. answering the phone while on the ladder scheduling the job on no cards and all of the terrible things that you know Josh Latimer drink number six.  Telling me I was doing wrong was that at a certain level if in the beginning, if it's gonna be it's up to me type it, you've got a bust, you've got to bust it. And there's no substitute for the hard work and the rugged individualists that goes out there and fires from dusk to dawn. And does that to get ahead like there is something to be said that after you've gotten an established business, and I don't mean a $5 million business, but I mean, you've got some revenue coming in, you're paying your bills, you're doing the stuff after that. My words of wisdom would be to start thinking about systematizing the business and thinking about how to recruit and get really good at business--
  Bobby Walker  35:51
Good stuff.
  Michael Dahlke   35:51

Hey redditors, I just had a few questions regarding the validity of moving forward with both my business, and what direction I should go next. My situation is somewhat unique.About me:I am a 20 year old College Freshman going to School for Electrical Engineering in Southern Illinois University, but I am from Michigan (There is a long story as to why I am going to SIU, Let's just say it's for personal reasons).I happen to be very lucky and my parents are paying for my degree. All I have to do is get As and Bs my classes, and I can walk out of school with a bachelors degree in EE and no debt. I also have an internship at Rockwell Automation this summer. My Dad is an investment manager and my Mom is works in Health Insurance and are both high-paid employees. Both of them want to see me Graduate college and get a nice engineering job at some large firm. How the business started (you can skip this part unless you want to hear a story. Skip to "what the business, CircleTech LLC does"):Since around 2012, I have been into PC hardware. Not really the gaming side, just computer hardware for some reason. I like that computers are like adult legos and can be fitted together and taken apart easily.Around 2015, some of my friends wanted to build gaming PCs, and I offered to help them. In order to maximize the performance per dollar, I very often went with used computer parts. I would visit places like craigslist and Letgo and get really good deals on parts. Back then I was building $200-300 PCs that could easily play most games at 1080p. Way cheaper than anything pre-built.Since I knew how to build cheap gaming PCs out of used parts, it means that I have carefully developed the skill of being able to look at a computer part and instantly approximate it's value. This is just due to the fact I know about almost every possible combination of computer parts from the Slot 1 days all the way to LGA 1151. I can easily spot specific motherboards, CPUs, RAM, and immediately tell if it has resale value. This will be important later.January of 2016 I was home for winter break. I had a bunch of computer parts I wanted to get rid of. I learned there are small scrap yards and junk yards around Michigan that will pay you for computer parts. Not much, but better than zero.when I got there, I threw what little I had on the scale. some SATA cables, power supplies, broken motherboards, ect and got $7 for the broken garbage. Then I noticed they were throwing everything in these gigantic boxes called pallet boxes. I looked inside, and found a gigabyte AM3 Motherboard. Attached to the board was a phenom ii X6 1055t + 16GB of DDR3. I had no idea if it would work, but I took the plunge and decided to ask to buy it.It turned out nobody has ever asked to buy anything from this scrapyard before. They billed me BY WEIGHT!, $1 a pound. $5 for the whole thing.I brought it back home, and plugged it into a power supply and added a geforce 8400 GS just to test it. Low and behold, the combination booted right up.I then listed the thing on ebay, and the next day was sold for $115. I had made an $80 profit off of something that was junk."hey, this could work" I thought. The next week I went back again. This time I found an HP machine with an LGA 1156 board and a first gen i7. I bought the whole computer for $10. The next week, I sold the machine for $150.That summer, I made almost 22K in total sales and walked away with an after-tax profit of 10K. Not bad for a start I guess. I was working just by myself.Fast forward to today, and I now have multiple scrap yards that I stop off at often to buy computers and parts from. I make a visit, comb through their pallets and bins of computer parts, and cherry pick the most resellable pieces. I also sometimes see entire machines at these places that have core i7's in them, Just thrown away by some company as scrap. I usually pay the scrap yards 2-3 times what they usually get by weight from their buyers.Since I am in college now, when I come home I start selling computers again. I have made a few K here and there, but nothing major since I don't have time to dedicate my full time to the business. On November of 2018, I decided to make this an official documented business. I filed my articles of formation with the state of Michigan as CircleTech LLC.What the business, CircleTech LLC does:Circletech LLC specializes in the refurbishing of e-waste in order to extract the most value from apparently "junk" electronics. I specialize in newer computers and parts (think sandy bridge and up) and very old computers and parts (think old-ass Dell Beige boxes from 1997 and 486 PCs). I sell many computers and parts from Motherboards, CPUs, RAM, high-end power supplies, laptops, and entire machines I find intact. As of now, the business has been cash flow positive. However I need to move my inventory to a different location other than my parents basement (hey, I AM paying rent)!Plan for the summer of 2019:I will be starting the summer early may 2019. If you had read the intro, I currently have a job at Rockwell Automation as an intern for the summer. I also am making a plan to scale up the business during the summer as well. This summer, I will be renting out a storage unit to work out of, and I will be paying someone I know very well to list and sell things on a purely commission basis. I will be spending my time growing the business, and they will get things listed, packed, and shipped on Ebay for me.My goal for the summer is to find even more scrap yards to work with, and explore further avenues to provide value to my customers. I also want to start building a proper ecommerce website and try to move away from Ebay and paypal entirely to build my own brand. I also am going to contact some small computer stores around Michigan (yes, PC repair stores still exist in certain places) to see if I can sell them parts. What now?As of now, I am divided on what I should do next.I am not sure if college is even right for me. I could start building a computer business today and possibly scale it up. I could also continue to get my free college degree and go on to be a high paid engineer at some large firm. What would reddit suggest? Should I keep running my business on the side and get my degree? Or should I completely abandon my parents wishes of getting a job as am employee and focus entirely on my business? Remember for me, college is free (as long as I get good grades). That's why I am so divided.TL:DR: I am a college student currently pursuing my electrical engineering degree and I am running a moderately successful business selling refurbished computer parts. My education is paid for by my parents so I will have no debt when I leave school. I could focus on my degree and run the business on the side or I could drop out of college and jump headfirst into my business. What should I do next?

Intro although I probably won’t have the time to finish this to my 100%. It will provide some basics.
I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on 7/27/1983.
By 1986 my mother moved my brother ( Josh W. Harlow ) and I to Holmes Beach, Florida.
There I was raised or was I?
The stories remain the same in my household and there authentic from birth. My character was of always “ fuck everybody “ sadly.
By 2 year of age in Indiana my mother had to continue to raise the locks to our house because I would open them and get out. Once I was found in the snow with only my diaper.
By 5 years old, I was walking into our local Holmes Beach Walgreens to buy GI Joes. The only problem was I Never Ever had enough darn pennies to buy the GI Joe. So what did I do? I walked out anyways and the final time I did it I simply dumped the pennies and ran, got caught and my mother was totally on board with the police scare idea.
We eventually moved to Anna Maria Island where my childhood was normal as any kids back in the 80s and 90s. I genuinely have no complaints to my childhood.
My brother Josh on the other hand had a whirlwind of near death experiences.
He was hit by a car 5 times while either riding a bike or walking.
Each time he survived to tell a story.
1992 came and Josh was roughly 5 years my elder. I remember when mom told Josh his dad died on his motorcycle. I mean it did alter my brothers future to this day..
I remained in Florida while my mom and brother paid respects.
From then on, All I remember is paintball, long black hair mid back, and a mindset I have not seen in another to this day!
Josh went on to KICK ASS in Paintball and even got Manatee High School to co-sign onto his Paintball team and come in 1st Place.
The team name was odd I thought back then.. The Death Dancers
Anyways, Josh when 16 years of age, wanted to steal a pirate ship then sail the seas. During the same period became grossly facinated by Magic, Spells, and as a victim to his knowledge was deathly sick for 6 days upon its removal. Multiple friends of his can contest to this day.
By December before his 18th Birthday while living off 9th St W in NW Bradenton, enjoyed a farewell party for his walk from NC to Cali. Literally mapped it out and was prepared to live off the land. That it would take 2 2 1/2 years to complete.
Mom and I put his on a train to NC where he stayed 1 night in a hotel before beginning the walk.
Days pasted as mom worried. On the 3rd day the phone rang and it was Josh.
He told mom he was coming home. He walked 13 miles and could piss or shit due to the cold. Mom was thrilled! She had her son home.
Josh later came home only to plan to buy his Harley that following December and driving the Country Vs walking it.
On September 6th 1996 less than a month after I found the Honda Shadow he purchased, was he killed after eating dinner with my mom and I.
In tears now I’ll forever be haunted by certain facts that could altered that fatal evening.
Running into the house when he asked me to grab his helmet - what if I walked.
A lot of What Ifs and Depression ensued.
His death changed the course of my future for decades to come!
It wasn’t until I held a little girl named Gia Gabriele 8 months after her birth did I finally figured out that Life Was About To Change..
Gia Gabriele is my biological daughter who 7.
I’ve raised her since she was double digit months old.
I took her mother to get her 9 month sober badge only to find out it was the beginning of today.
All I was say regarding Gia’s mother to drugs is this •
She’s killed someone ( accident or not )
His miss a vein with meth and her arm likes indescribable, and she’s currently inside a rehab at this very moment I type.
Gia is very much in love with her mom and right or wrong I cannot deny her that right. Gia is not a typical 7 year old. I mean she is but she’s 4’4 and 80lbs and she will say how she feels if you hurt ANY Animal! 😍
My apologize but other work calls and I’ll return with my Intro to Entrepreneurship soon.
How I Use 1 Social Media Site to create Platinum Cleaning Solutions LLC, All Brick & Paver Sealing LLC, Entrepreneurs Global LLC and how before other 3 current companies. J3 Pools & Pressure Washing LLC started it ALL

Heat snap five-game losing streak in Wade's return
MIAMI /February 9, 2018 (AP)(STL.News) — Dwyane Wade returned to Miami with a quiet game, but his mere presence got a rise out of Heat fans, and teammates Hassan Whiteside and Tyler Johnson led the way to a 91-85 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday that snapped a five-game losing streak and capped a celebratory night.
Wade came off the bench to score three points on 1-of-6 shooting with two assists, one rebound, a key late block, and four turnovers in 22 minutes in his first game since being acquired in a trade from Cleveland on Thursday. Wade played 13 seasons and won three NBA championships with the Heat before leaving as a free agent for Chicago in 2016.
Johnson scored 19 points and Whiteside scored 12 points and had 16 rebounds. Bam Adebayo added 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Josh Richardson chipped in 16 points for Miami.
All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Bucks, who lost for just the second time in nine games under interim head coach Joe Prunty.
The Heat trailed 9-0 to start the game, with fans growing restless to see the return of the franchise’s favorite son. They chanted, “We want Wade!”
Wade entered midway through the first quarter and received a standing ovation from the crowd. He immediately made an impact throwing a lob to Hassan Whiteside for a dunk on his first possession as the fans roared.
Minutes later, Wade took his first shot, a 3 from the right wing, and drilled it bringing the crowd to its feet.
There were other moments in the first half too_a no-look alley-oop pass in transition to Johnson for a dunk and another lob to Whiteside for a dunk.
Miami trailed 46-42 at halftime, but quickly erased the deficit after the break.
The Heat started the third on a 22-6 run and outscored the Bucks 30-8 in the quarter to take a commanding 72-54 lead into the fourth. The Bucks made 4 of 17 shots in the period.
Milwaukee was able to cut the deficit to 85-78 with 1:28 left.
More “We want Wade” chants rang out in the closing minutes with Wade on the bench as the Bucks inched closer.
Eric Bledsoe hit a 3 to pull the Bucks within 85-81.
After a turnover by Richardson, Wade blocked a layup attempt by Bledsoe and Wayne Ellington drilled a 3 to help seal the victory.
TIP-INS
Bucks: John Henson (hamstring) returned after a one-game absence. Henson was hit with a technical foul in the first quarter when he slammed the scorer’s table in frustration. . The Bucks are 15-4 when they either tie or outrebound their opponents, 15-19 when they do not. Miami outrebounded the Bucks 51-37. . The Bucks are allowing 95.4 points in Prunty’s nine games as interim head coach.
Heat: Kelly Olynyk (left shoulder strain) missed his second consecutive game. . The Heat were able to include Wade and Luke Babbitt, who was acquired in a trade on Thursday, in their new “Vice” intro video with Wade smiling at the end drawing a loud cheer from the fans. . Goran Dragic was presented with the Euroscar European Player of the Year award before the game. . Miami won all three games to sweep the season series with the Bucks.
LEBRON HAPPY FOR WADE
LeBron James weighed in on Wade returning to the Heat:
“I’m happy as hell for D-Wade. He gets to go back home and that’s how it should be. I’ve always felt like that’s where his heart and his mind was and I think it’s going to be great for him. I look forward to seeing the footage of him being announced tonight back in Miami. But, obviously, it’s always, when it’s your brother and you’re around him every day and he has to go back . but at the end of the day, it wasn’t tough. We’re both 15 years in the league. We know how the business is and more importantly, we see each other all the time, anyway. So, get out of here, D-Wade.”
UP NEXT
Bucks: Visit Orlando on Saturday.
Heat: Visit Toronto on Tuesday.
