Rudy!! My Fnafsb OC!! + Info!!

Also!!! I realized that I never posted my beloved FNAF Security Breach OC here!!!!! Their name is Rudy and they are my beloved lil Deer animatronic! (I wanted to make them to be a reindeer originally but I also don't wanna change their nose so idk 💀💀)

Here is an older drawing of them too! They have rollerskates because I imagined that they would have a Roller rink attraction at the Pizza Plex called something cheesy like "Rudy's RollerRink Road" or something.

They would work at their attraction and sorta help people learn to Roller-skate, both for kids and for adults! They would encourage trying again and not giving up.

I remember that in-game, I thought of some mechanics they would have, like maybe they would be very fast while chasing Gregory (I imagine they also were effected by the virus like the other animatronics) since they are on roller skates, but their weakness would be when Gregory climbs stairs or escalators that Rudy can't follow him, or at least they are very slow while climbing them- this would be due to programming they have for saftey measures to be extra careful to avoid injuries of any guests (and for the company to avoid lawsuits 💀). So thus Rudy is programmed to avoid stairs, steps and sharp inclines like that to avoid injury or property damage.

I also like to imagine that Rudy's bell around their neck would give the player an indicator that they are near because I don't imagine them wanting to announce their presence like the other animatronics so that it's easier to catch Gregory, but obviously their bell doesn't really help with that too much.

I do imagine that their roller skates are removable, but they need assistance from an employee or machine to remove them. Their legs are also specially calibrated and have special hydrolics ingrained for better stability and balance while rollerblading making them the only animatronic to be able to without falling over- Thus if there were in the game, and had to have a part removed like the other animatronics I'd imagine maybe their legs? They would then find some replacement legs that they try to use but they would no longer have any balance and would walk slowly and clumsily around the Plex. If they went after Gregory and he gets out of the way soon enough, they would fall over as a mechanic and that could be utelized as ways to get out of a tricky situation for Gregory.

In their off-time I also imagine them hanging out with DJ Music Man a lot because they like to rave and just sorta hang out with him. They would be friends with all the glamrocks, in different ways, I think- but they would deem DJ as their best friend lol. As for Sun/Moon they probably don't get the chance to bond as much but I'm sure they would admire Sun/Moon's ability to work with tiny children so much. I don't think Rudy would like Vanessa too much, probably because they think she's kinda mean. Rudy would probably not talk to her unless it is 100% necessary.

But yeah!! Now you know about my silly Deer animatronic OC! If I remember any more details I forgot about I'll probably edit this blog later on or something haha!

hi holy shit i was not expecting anyone to actually ask me about my ocs but um. hello oc lore be upon ye I have a few OCs. a lot actually. my main set of OCs is a group of magical girls (well. two of them are guys) and like. the story is somewhat complicated but basically Zoe (main character) runs away from her fucked up boarding school in which she's been stuck at for most of her life and finds this mansion in which she finds a magic mirror that she accidentally shatters and gains magic powers from. and like. there's others. also she was separated from her two sisters at a very young age but has no memory of them she meets the other 4 of my main OCs who are also magical girls (using this term gender neutrally) and it kind of goes from there. There's Melody (hyperactive 14 year old music prodigy) Eli (could be a shoujo love interest if he wanted to, secretly the most insane person you will ever meet) Towa (literally just some guy who got dragged into this all this all because he took up a part time job at the wrong store) and Camilla (was a magical girl in high school, just graduated university, ends up becoming a magical girl again. while trying to manage her career as a fashion designer.) as for like. the actual plot. yknow how i mentioned Camilla was a magical girl in high school. She actually failed to save the other world she became a magical girl in an attempt to save the first time, with said entire world being cursed into an eternal slumber except for the person who like. cursed the place. the portals between the world were sealed off until Zoe accidentally reopened it. so its like. they need to figure out how to lift the curse as in its current state it cannot be reversed. i. dont have many drawings of them like at all that arent really old, ive mainly been working on lore in the past couple of years so the designs of a few characters are a little.. outdated. and i dont wanna post art from two years ago here because it is uh. Not Good.

except this reference sheet of Zoe and another OC i havent mentioned until now called Jordan (who is. another character in this same storyline) that i made for artfight last year which arent terrible i guess (though slightly outdated)

im planning to actually make this a whole series at some point, probably after i graduate high school this year. ive been working on this since i was about 12... though i've changed a lot since then. like the entire storyline. this version of the story line is like.. the third rework of it. My plan is to make this a comic book/manga series and potentially have it adapted into a tv series. Which is highly unlikely to happen but i can dream... (i have the soundtrack planned and everything i think i made a post ages ago detailing the exact personalities and stuff of the main characters so i'll try to find it and add a link in the reblogs <3

Entropic Float's One Year Anniversary!

One year ago today- On July 7th, 2022- I released the 300k+ word long visual novel Entropic Float: This World Will Decay and Disappear, at no cost on itch and steam.

It was a labor of love- I worked on it for just over a year and a half, and my life changed a lot during that time. I got a job related to my degree, then proceeded to crash and burn when it turned out that I couldn't actually manage that job alongside my chronic conditions. Working on Entropic Float was the only thing during that time that really made me happy at all, so it's no surprise I ended up quitting for my health shortly after release...

Since I released Entropic Float, lots of things have happened. I've seen it referred to on reddit as 'the queerest game I've ever played'. I've received wonderful fanart. People have come to me saying that the game helped them realize they were physically disabled. My good friend, the vtuber FreyaFukunaga, played through the entire game on stream. There have of course been bad reviews too, negative feedback- No game can be for everyone, and Entropic Float is a game for some rather specific people. I've taken into account critiques made in good faith, and made efforts to improve these things where possible in updates to the game, and even moreso in the way they will be structured in Entropic Float 2: Land Of The Witch.

But before we talk about Entropic Float 2, which I'm sure you've all been waiting for information on, let me put some concerns to rest. I have, by no means, been doing nothing all this time. EF2 is coming along, though not in ways that are easy to share. Still, have a look-

Admittedly, it's a bit ugly without all the extra buttons, text, and more that will accompany this frame- It's just one small piece of the GUI I've been building. Entropic Float 2 is a big shift in style from the first game- For one, I'm no longer using Koikatsu for talksprites or environments. For another, it's going to be a point and click adventure game (Though the final release will include a 'kinetic novel version' option for those who prefer to play VNs on auto-advance!). You can see it, right? The menu buttons along the right edge, an inventory with tabs you can cycle in the bottom right corner, some information about the current state of the game in the empty space on the left...However, besides EF2, there have been other things I'm working on, and I'll admit to having some trouble finding a good workflow. During EF's development, it was simple enough- In my free time, I did those things which made me money (commissions, convention prep) and when those were done I worked on Entropic Float and did very little else. This workflow can no longer apply, because in the interim year, I've been building my small business, Nico's Fan Niche, on etsy. There are some pieces of Entropic Float merch available there! But the point is, now it seems there is always 'something to do which can make me money', as designing new products has a direct impact on my life now.

Besides the store, I'm also involved in other gamedev projects- I continue to be support staff on Heart Fragment, and am the primary artist of an RPG with a few friends of mine, yet to be formally announced. To top it all off, I do still have a day job. I work 30 hours a week (sometimes up to 39) with a studio called Small Victories. It's a wonderful and fulfilling position that gives me the space I need for personal projects, but that's still 30+ hours of the week not spent on those projects.

Finally- Entropic Float 2 is a loftier game than Entropic Float was. When I started EF, it was just for fun, to play with ren'py, and was never supposed to be as long as it ended up being. EF2 is a followup game. It needs to be bigger, better, and the pressure is on. For this reason, I decided to postpone making the game's art until after July- After Artfight 2023. My username there is nhitori if you want an attack from me! Each year, Artfight represents a huge burst of improvement for me and my artistic abilities. A talksprite drawn in June and a talksprite drawn in August would by nature be very obviously different in quality. I've been writing, outlining, working on GUI, but there hasn't been anything worth sharing on here yet.

Even so, I am very happy to announce- You should be able to expect the Entropic Float 2 Demo, and its Kickstarter, in November 2023!

Enter the Pine Creek Anomaly to discover exactly what happened in the small, Appalachian town several years ago- And why, so suddenly, the Anomaly started to invite outsiders in, after flying under the radar all this time. Kanatsune Ame returns to be guided by the player as he searches for the answers within a new cast of characters; Some familiar faces, some made more familiar after a mention in the Anomalous Clocktower, and some he's never met before at all.

And following shortly after the EF2 Demo and Kickstarter- There's one backer reward that will be fulfilled right away. Releasing in December 2023, right away for backers, just in time for the holidays if you just want to purchase it on its own (For only 5 USD- But if you played Entropic Float because it was free, and you really can't spare the money for any reason, do reach out to me.)

Quite a while after the stabilization of the Anomalous Clocktower, but not yet when you join Ame in the Pine Creek Anomaly- A voice calls out to you. A voice that is familiar, the voice which spoke directly to you throughout the first game. Informing you of the endings you've acquired. Warning you of what's ahead. Asking if you'd like to bring about the miracle. You never would have imagined that voice belonged to somebody. But it seems... She's gathered a new collection of stories for you. Fragments of those you've met before. Histories you couldn't see at the time, updates from the year since you left them behind. If you can read these stories and become more powerful again, like you did in the Clocktower, then maybe, just maybe... You and Her can meet face to face.

The Letters To A Beloved Ghost DLC for the first game will be arriving in December 2023! Along with the DLC, you'll also be able to install the 'Anachrono Mode' for Entropic Float. This mode replaces koikatsu talksprites with drawn talksprites in any cases where those have been added for DLC content. As the characters may be dressed in different clothing in these talksprites, and there may not be exact analogues for every expression, and the environments will remain koikatsu-style in most if not all places- It promises to be a bit anachronistic. But if the talksprites exist, may as well give you the option to use them!

One last thing- I'll be tabling in the Artist's Colony at Connecticon 2023, though I haven't got a table number yet. I also may be tabling at FANEXPO Boston 2023 (Unconfirmed), and Otakuthon 2023 (Waitlisted, but I'll still be attending as a guest if I don't get a table.) So if any fans reading this wanted to come say hello- There's a few opportunities. I might even have something for you, if you come by my table.

Ok so in Rem's universe some individuals have super powers, there's villains and vigilantes

My main villain is Callisto, who some years ago kidnapped Rem (and Anfri) from a research facility bc of their powers

Rem has dreamlike abilities, being able to trap people in a dreamscape or cause hallucinations. They are in a sort of trance/unconscious state while doing this, as well as the victim

If the person trapped dies on the dreamscape they die in real life

At first they refused to kill/hurt anyone but there were consecuences and the victims ended up being brutally murdered anyway so, seeing there was no other choice they decided that they could at least make it quick for them

When using their abilities they get really tired and risk passing out

After some years they encounter a group of vigilantes and, gathering the courage to do it, they contact the leader on her dreams asking for help and so they eventually rescue Rem

They live some time with the vigilantes, unlearning some stuff from their past and learning other things, like starting to learn sign language (they are mute) but eventually they are recaptured, most likely when some of the vigilantes are out on a mission

Callisto has one of their eyes removed as punishment for escaping, and most of the time they are under her hypnosis, making their mind all fuzzy so they don't try anything

Callisto also convinces them that no one will come rescue them anymore, that the vigilantes tried but because of them they are all dead now

Rem believes this since they think they saw it happen, and they blame themselves for it

So when they come to try and rescue them they believe it's a trick

The shadow is another oc from this universe, she used to work as a scientist for the villains, but eventually started conspiring against them. He was found out however and suffered a lab "accident" where she was supposed to die. Instead, he gained shadow like abilities, including a shadow form, but she also lost his memories. Callisto decided to make use of this and tricked her into thinking she belongs with them and what they are doing is for the greater good

That day he also lost her name, only being refered to as the shadow or shadow now as a way to dehuminize her more

She is on her shadow form almost 24/7 since it's really hard for him to stay corporeal

She used to know Rem as a scientist and they will recognize him after being recaptured, she however won't and will be tasked with keeping an eye on them, essentially becoming their shadow to make sure they don't try anything

Eventually, she will start to realize the villains aren't what they told him, this will be hard for her however, but after a while she will also be redeemed and become a vigilante on her own, Poltergeist

I'm in the process of reworking an old oc for this universe, her name might be Anfri but I'm still not sure, it means disgrace. Or maybe desgracia 🤔 ok I'll decide that later shjshsjs she was also kidnapped with Rem bc of her powers. She can move through mirrors and communicate with the dead, serving mostly as an informant, but she can also summon ghost hands with super strenght being a strong opponent

Askturnipdeerling is a pokemon ask blog following sisters Turnip and Risa as Turnip begins preparations to become the next monarch of the Forest of Life.

This blog is run by Sparx. I'm a 30ish year old lawyer living in Florida with my wife, dog, and two cats. My pronouns are she/they. I've been on the pokeask scene on and off since 2012, so you may have seen a few of my blogs if you've been around long enough.

While this is currently my only Tumblr, you can also find me on Twitter and Artfight.

FAQ

Q: Is this a reboot of askshinydeerling?

A: Yes and no! This blog takes place approximately 5 years after the events of askshinydeerling, so it's something if a sequel. However, I am operating as if the previous blog never existed, so anything revealed on the previous blog will be treated as new information again. Additionally, I have tweaked some things here and there, so information on the old blog may no longer be accurate. So, the old blog can be considered "bonus content" that may or may not still be considered canon. If you ask a question that seemingly used knowledge that only could have come from the old blog, it may be ignored or saved for later.

Q: How often do you update?

A: Whenever I feel like it! I may update multiple times a day or once a week. I may disappear for a month. I have no intention of trying to maintain a consistent schedule. I started this blog to get back into drawing for fun, and sticking to a schedule when I don't feel like it isn't fun.

Q: Why didn't you answer my ask?

A: I don't guarantee answers. Most likely, I haven't gotten to it yet. Otherwise, I didn't feel like answering it for one reason or another.

Q: Do humans/Anthros/etc exist on your blog?

A: As it relates to whether or not I'll include your character in a response, as long as they're from a pokemon universe, it does not matter whether your character fits into the canon of my universe. Most of the characters are familiar with the concept of other universes, so if your character doesn't fit my canon for some reason, my characters will just assume they're not from here. What is and isn't a thing within the universe will be shown in character, but as a treat, I can confirm humans and trainers exist.

Q: Will you draw my character?

If you send an in character ask, probably! But this isn't a guarantee, and if I don't, you either didn't have a good ref or I didn't feel like it for some reason or another. It's probably not personal and I can be pretty lazy with art.

That said, if you want me to draw your character outside of an ask, I take commissions! Info can be found on my Twitter linked above.

This may be updated from time to time.

hi! i love your characters and art a lot, i was looking at your artfight and then your oc tag and was wondering about andria and the other (?) andria? with the lungs? i didnt see that much about her so i was curious if thats her twin or something!

OH HI!! Well this is the sweetest ask ever thank u so much!!

Andria is an oc from way back when (think I made her in 2015??) and her whole concept was that she was the protagonist for a short rpgmaker-type game that was mistakenly abducted by alien bounty hunters and had to help them on their quest to save the universe from an alien criminal. I ended up shelving a lot of the project to work on other ideas so what I've done with Andria and my other ocs since then has been a lot of conceptual "what ifs" and such! As for the lung girl, her name is Amber! I was fiddling around with the concept of Andria finding out she was secretly an alien as well as a twin after finding her long-lost sister on a planet somewhere. The most concrete characterization that I have for Amber is she's pretty troubled and likes to hang around in the seedier parts of the galaxy. Amber's design was really an excuse to design a character with exposed lungs, since for some reason I constantly drew people like that when I was a kid LOL.

I have some fun concept art of them I'm not sure I've ever posted so I'll tack it on here!

I also have pinterest boards for both! I think Andria might actually have the most pins out of all my ocs bc even though I'm not currently using her in a project she's one of my all time favorites she's my baby girl.

welp, I've finally came up with a schedule for asking you questions. Every 2-4 days after you answer something I've sent I shall make an ask, changing the themes between your OCs and their world, and Luckyboy!Ben AU. That way I won't burn you out accidently with asking about the same thing all the time XD And since my last ask was about your OCs, it's time to return to Luckyboy!Ben AU :D

Ok, first question, Would Gwen here have the necrofriggian babies? Big Chill babies (but named differently obviously)? I suspect that she would have them considering that that was something that came up from a... defect, bug, glitch, purposefully put design? in the Omnitrix, as such she should have birthed them regardless of the differences with cannon. Would anyone else know about the babies, considering it was treated as a secret in cannon but maybe not in this AU?

Also, what about Zs'Skayr? He (Is Zs'Skayr gendered? I'll treat them as male for the rest of this ask to avoid complications) is also someone that's independent of the events of the prime universe, and as such I'd imagine that he would still be a threat in this universe.

And the Loboan transformation that Ben went through in the OS, would Gwen also go through it in here as well? We know that that transformation was triggered by Werewolf when the team was attacked, forcing Ben to go through a gradual transformation.

Now back to Nekomata :D Would Ben ever reveal his identity to someone? Maybe Gwen and grandpa Max? Perhaps Rook if he manages to gain the complete trust of Ben first? What kind of situation would allow for Ben to reveal his identity as Nekomata that wasn't a life-or-death one? Because let's be real, in a life-or-death situation anyone would reveal their identities XD

We know that Ben is the favourite barista of the coffee, and with good reason, considering he's a charismatic info brooker that will kick the ass (or alien equivalent) of anyone making trouble, while also being respectful of the clients (because that's mandatory in a job like that one, but isn't it hard to find employees like that in this universe) and keeping their dietaries needs in mind. But does He has any favourite client, someone he's waiting to come because he geniunly sees them as friends even though they only see each other in the coffee? Nekomata interactions don't count for this XD I'd imagine it would be one of the plumbers kids, Kevin or Argit, But who knows? this might as well be a time to make any background character shine :P Not that I remember any of them anyways XD

NGL Im already burnt out on luckyboy (it dont take much rlly, just bored of the idea haha ;;) I'll entertain ur questions tho. maybe it'll spark me back to life. Currently hyperfixated on artfight!

I'm conflicted about this. Idk if that episode was supposed to be a metaphor for teen pregnancy (i still find it hilarious that it's a cannon mpreg episode rip!), but with Gwen it wouldn't rlly work(?) She's quite responsible, and considering her personality she'd get way too attached.

So- I would say that she has a lot better communication with Azmuth then what Ben did, and Azmuth took into consideration a lot of Gwens suggested tweeks. So, no babys- srry. They'd nerf Gwen completely. (poor thing crys over the littlest things...)

You know what? what's the harm in a little childhood trauma, we'll have Zs'Skayr. Gwen never took back control of Ghost Freak after the events of Zs'Skayr. She also never defeated him the first round, it irritates her to know end how much of a coward she was as a child. But she was a child! She's too hard on herself a lot of the times.

Oh geez this brings back memories~ I remember sitting in my loungeroom watching this episode and loving it every time.

The only reason Ben turned into the Laboan was because he chased after the OG wolf man.

I would say Gwen's a lot more cautious in those cases and stuck close to Max. So she didn't end up collecting the Laboan DNA until a lot further down the track.

Maybe similar events happen with a different alien however, something Gwen can't avoid.

Before I dive down into Nekomata I just wanna make note of some Gwen stuff.

Gwen is still quite headstrong, intelligent and cautious when it comes to fighting. Quite similar to how she functions in the OG her fighting is more Defensive. Her fighting style is built off Taekwondo (I think thats what she practised in alien force...) So she's more built for self defence. She's very analytical of her opponents. Her best alien would be XLR8 (my one of my faves ngl). Using her quick thinking she can do small attacks that can weaken her opponent.

Now then:

I usually don't like to reveal big REVEALS to anyone even myself. Which can straight up nerf me when it comes to developing my own characters cause I won't spoil myself.

So it takes a lot of willpower to do this. It's my AU and I say what's canon!

WHEEEEZE BUT TO BE HONEST I LIKE TO SWITCH THINGS UP SO DON'T TAKE THIS AS OFFICIAL OFFICIAL CAUSE I MIGHT END UP CHANGING MY MIND. I'M SO INDESCISIVE!!!

The big reveal:

You know what, I thought about this a while ago. Rook is realsing that perhaps the plumbers are in the wrong. So he only whishes to hear Nekomata out. He ends up finding Nekomata after a big fight. He's quite injured and bleeding out, he can't retain his anodite form (add a bit of a concussion in the mix). Rook panics and has to throw the mask off, because the majorite of blood is under the mask. (mans know first aid). He's hesitant, all this chasing, all this fighting. Surely he couldn't! but He does. He pulls of the mask AND, oh shit, the barista!

I think around this time the plumbers had caught on to Rooks faulty allegiance and had followed him, so He finds himself surrounded. Rook places the mask back on and trys to talk with the plumbers.

They're not hearing it. And Ben, in his weary state, pulls out one of his little teleporter rocks (i forgot to mention he carries around of a lot of them, preinfused with mana as a just in case scenario) grabs Rook by the ankle and teleports them away.

Through a series of events his identity is revealed, to the public and he's on the run. Not sure how that'll go, but it extends the overall storyline!

....

...

You're right, the BG characters really don't get that limelight. So..... Blukig and Driba. He genuinely enjoys their little back and forths. Also in this universe they're gay. I can't imagine those two loving anyone else but each other.
