#good grief im gettin a lil tired of seeing 'DONT DO THIS' kinda art videos #i very much understand its a youtube thing and that clickbait names and thumbs get the views and attention needed #but it doesnt mean it doesnt annoy me or that I cant be annoyed by it #sometimes i just see it in tutorial pictures too #but the large DONTS with red Xs near the supposed ''wrong'' way of drawing is so demotivating #people start and draw in many ways than one #its what makes art their own #but when videos or tutorial posts are made and show the ''WRONG'' way to go about it #its like scolding the new artist or long time artist with that style that they're doing it wrong and that its bad #no matter the intention its not the way to go about helping artists learn to draw #and in my personal opinion #the click bait ''DONT DO THIS WHEN DRAWING'' thing is what keeps me from actually watching the vids #i get theyre probably helpful but i don't like that I have to feel some NEED or DESIRE to click on a vid cause I feel like I did a thing #wrong or that i never should have done it at all #i wish i could see more 'here are some tips that helped me #kinda vids cause yes i would love to learn what helped you rather than being or feeling wronged for drawing in a way that isn't theirs #im rambling but i have been seeing a lot of 'DONT DO THIS' NEVER DO THIS' 'IF YOURE DOING THIS STOP NOW' kinda art vids #im speakin for myself here #but im an artist sifting through art youtube or spaces always willing to learn new ways of improving my art #i dont need to feel click baited like the next 3am don't this kid to learn how to improve my inking skills #if it was more a 'this is my personal preference and I wanna share it with my audience and maybe teach some things' kinda vid #id watch that too #but im just so tired of seeing art youtube going down this need to tell folks 'YOURE DOING IT ALL WRONG. also in that interview with gaider when he talks about how everyone was disappointed with da2 when it came out, even though the developers thought that people would accept a smaller-scale game... it's funny and kind of sad when now almost everyone loves da2 and loves that it had a contained story/setting. for many of us it's now our favourite game in the series. it's really taken so many years for people to truly appreciate it lmao and understand what they were trying to do with it... I know video game fans tend to have knee-jerk reactions to everything that is even slightly different from what they were used to in previous installments but it would be sort of nice to go into things with a more open mind. different doesn't necessarily mean bad; da2 diverging from the style of origins meant they could tell a very unique sort of story, one that in my opinion is much more intriguing than the plots of either origins or inquisition and was necessary to set the stage for any other stories within Thedas. Da2 had its problems but where would we be without it

Ok, so in D:BH none of the three playable characters interact directly with each other outside of Kara and Connor in On the Run. This moment happens to be one of my favorite in the entire game, especially since it gives for amazing payoff when they see each other again in the church. Or, it could've been an amazing payoff. Either way, it struck me as odd that Markus does not interact with either of the other playable characters until Crossroads. Soooo...

What would be some fun ways to have the other characters interact pre-endgame?

For Markus and Kara, I feel like it would've been cool if they crossed paths in Shades of Color, if Kara was perhaps being purchased from the store Markus passes. They could've also interacted pre-endgame by having them team up on a mission, or by having Jericho and Chapman's Farm becoming allies in some way. Perhaps that would be the reason Kara travels to Jericho at all, to offer their assistance to Markus or to ask for assistance for all the androids.

For Markus and Connor I have no idea. They interact indirectly through Simon in Public Enemy, so perhaps they don't need to interact directly. I just think it would've been cool to have the deviant hunter meet the future deviant leader before he fully becomes a leader, and for the leader to meet the hunter before he either becomes even more brutal or becomes more empathetic. Perhaps something to do with the Jericho chapter to make it more interesting? Or maybe Freedom March? I dunno

Anybody have any cool ideas?

#im really excited for the job im starting. still about a month or so out but heading towards a career change sort of that im really excited #for. im just... i actually used to be very cynical and i struggled to see the point through all the terrible things in the world #but for many reasons #even as i discovered worse and worse things #ive developed... resiliency i never thought id have #born out of this appreciation for those and the world around me #and i wish i could share it. i see so many people in my old shoes #im still growing. so much to do #but im at a level of contentment.. idk. i couldntve dreamed of #and it took effort #it is not /easy/ to face things and believe in good regardless #but. its rewarding. i wish it for all of you #on a similar but different note ive been reaching a point of being more myself in social situations rather than just a chameleon #and ive been lucky enough to have the people around me the past two years or so be very supportive in a way that has truly let me grow and #become a better version of myself #and its sort of been this positive feedback loop. because the more confident and passionate you are the more people are delighted by your #eccentricies #i used to be so beat down #i still struggle so much #but. im at a place i never thought id be #no doubt there will be struggles in the future #hell its not like things are perfect now #still so much. major things to improve on #but idk. i am happy #and its a very full sense of happiness. #full and aware and strong #thats what i wish for all of you :)
