Do you have any facts about how they make the motions in 3dmv and live shows (or stuff like that) I’ve been really curious about bow those work

this has been sitting in my inbox for months and i accidentally found the mocap company today so here

the mocap for 3DMVs and Connect Lives is done by a company called Solid Cube (website) (twitter). they also do the mocap for all the project diva games, the bandori animes (including the ex-spinoff argonavis), the first season of the D4DJ anime, IDOLiSH7 anime and PVs, and the games and animes for Idolmaster and imas sideM, and some other stuff i can't be asked to list.

i can't really find anything about their process specifically in regards to prsk, but there is some stuff on their website. also on their twitter they put the credits for the actors and choreographers for each MV (if you don't want to scroll through their entire account for the proseka stuff here's a link to everything)

[1] – in the Japanese chat, Iori was about to say “cute” as in かわいい (kawaii), but when asked by Tsumugi he instead sent かわうそ (kawauso), meaning otter, instead. To keep this wordplay, I made Iori say “be(autiful)” and diverted it with “be(aver)” instead.

AHHHH I finally got to the episode where they perform Restart Pointer in IDOLiSH7! (My early on favorite song.) And I was excited to see it's a different performance than in the PV!

I have never thought about portraying a male idol before now. I mean, I still don't think it would be for me but IDOLiSH7's choreography is just so delightfully goofy I can't help but want to try it.
