Pregnancy/Dad edition

Sirius has wanted a family as long as he can remember. Growing up with little siblings all over the place is a comfort for him. And when you ask him about having kids he’s honestly a little nervous that you don’t want them but respects your choice either way. (That just means he’ll get to be the cool uncle) (Fenrir and Ray disagree) He still gets dad of the year every year, though. Calls the kids ‘sprout’.

Blanc didn’t realize it was his kink until it slipped out one night nonchalantly over tea. “Blanc, I know you like kids but… what about ours?” It was good Oliver had moved elsewhere by this point because you two fucked. Like. Rabbits. While you both thoroughly enjoyed the process of getting pregnant, Blanc absolutely spoils you when you’re pregnant. Massages, carrying you whenever he gets the chance, begging Luka to make you whatever strange food you want. And once the baby is here? Proudest papa when their hair goes white and is admittedly a little nervous that he can be a good dad.

Kyle is excited and nervous the entire time you’re pregnant. Thankfully he has a good role model in his dad and it seems almost effortless how well he parents. You just know you’re in for a world of trouble when you see them, a grown man and toddler, studying a medicine book intently. Guess it’s time to brush up on your genius wrangling skills!

Arthur would cry when he learned you were pregnant. There’s 0 way he wouldn’t. Absolutely doting with an edge of being terrified that something will go wrong and he’ll lose the most precious person(s) in his life. A good dose of reality from you and Theo sets him straight. He helped deliver and he was trying not to cry then, too. An absolutely doting father, there’s certainly mischief abound later down the road.

Shakespeare is terrified he’s not going to be a good father. He can put on a brave face all he wants, but you know the man under the actor’s mask. With his history with you and everyone else in the mansion, he wonders what karma has blessed him with a child and without a doubt, come hell or high water, puts you and baby first. He’s initially nervous with the baby but, thanks to plenty of support from you and baby’s 11 uncles, he adjusts just fine. Your favorite is watching Will put them to bed with a bedtime story that he makes up on the spot and never the same story twice.

Leonardo’s cigarillo literally falls out of his mouth when you tell him you’re pregnant. Followed immediately by cursing in Italian before taking you up in his arms with his eyes shining “Cara mia, you’re serious, yes?” His voice is slightly strained and he nuzzles into your neck at the confirmation. He’s excited and he’s already tinkering with wood and paper making toys and puzzles and anything else you could imagine for your future child. He knows you like your independence in doing things but he’s more insistent than usual in helping you to do things. Once baby is here, Leonardo is most often found napping with baby on his chest and an arm around them protectively. Lumière basically became a big brother and seeing all three of them napping was one of the sweetest sights to see in the world. As baby grows, Leonardo slowly works on teaching them everything he knows along with plenty of play (Leonardo wouldn’t admit it but he loved the puppet shows he and every one of baby’s uncles put on with the shadow puppets he made.)

IkeSen:

Hideyoshi is mama bear. Like, to the extreme. You’ll need to remind him to calm down a lot but he’s so protective and loyal to your little (for now) family. He’s the ultimate giver of piggy back rides and learns how to braid hair for his little girl and teaches his sons about dismantling toxic masculinity.

Sasuke is nervous but he studies and studies and studies anything he can get his hands on when it comes to rearing children. He even goes to Kenshin, Shingen, and Yoshimoto for advice. You both thought about going back to the future for this but decided on staying 500 years in the past. Yukimura is named the fun uncle and the kids tease him all the time. Sasuke is ridiculously patient as a dad and you tell him you appreciate him whenever you can. From words to new foods to potty training, Sasuke is basically a saint. You’re only thankful you don’t have to teach them how to drive.

Masamune is ridiculously excited to hear news that you’re pregnant. He definitely flaunts it and is so happy to show you off and dote on you. He gladly makes you whatever crazy foods you want, even trying to recreate things from 500 years in the future for you. Once the baby is here he’s quiet with awe and you swear you saw a little watering at the corner of his eyes. To say he’s a devoted father is the understatement of the century. You just have to reign him in when he tries to do ridiculous things like having a small saddle commissioned for your baby to ride Shogetsu.

IkePri:

Chevalier knew before you did that you were pregnant, surprise surprise. What did surprise you, however, was how much more expressive he was in his protection over you as well as physically needing to be closer to you most of the time. Of course you didn’t complain, receiving a small “That’s ridiculous,” (definitely not Chev’s way of saying yes) conjoined with him nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck when you asked if he felt more protective now. He seemed to read your kind as always, even if he couldn’t be to your now shared room first he had servants draw you perfectly tempered baths and clothing that was easy for you to dress in. The amount of pressure you felt at the upcoming birth was initially astounding until a night Chevalier reminded you that this baby will be here as a result of your love for one another and not the pressures of politics. Once the baby is born you discover that Chevalier has another type of smile: one reserved solely for your baby. It is the softest smile you’ve ever seen him wear and it absolutely melts your heart. Of course his love for books must’ve been built in through DNA because they’re following along with bedtime stories line to line perfectly.

Sariel is shook. He’s calm on the outside, of course, but inside he’s honestly panicking a little. Most of his parenting experience had been with the twins and that situation had been… an intensely unique one. However, you discovered his feelings through a slip of the tongue and you held his face in your hands gently, assuring him he’d be a spectacular father and there was no one you’d rather have a family with. He felt assured and his demeanor had shifted just enough for people to notice, particularly the princes. Once it became known, Sariel’s usual dark aura intensified a hundredfold as he threatened all eight princes and Rio that if anything were to happen to you or your happiness, they would disappear. Once the baby came, everyone was astounded at how absolutely soft he could be, of course Licht and Nokto being the exception to that. To say your baby is treated like royalty is not hyperbole and it takes a rather firm foot from you to keep Sariel from spoiling them rotten.

Rio cried immediately when you told him, lightly sobbing his promise that they’re happy tears. During the pregnancy he’s almost overbearing, managing to tone it down just before you feel the need to tell him to. One restless night he tells you about a dream he once had, almost three months after you had saved him. It was filled with quiet nights like this, cuddling by the fire, laughing together. “That’s when I knew I wanted you forever. And a family with you.” You nearly broke his hand during delivery but Rio’s smile didn’t falter, staying strong to lend you his strength. The baby came and while Rio insisted that you took turns waking up for baby, you’re pretty sure he was the one to get up more in the middle of the night. The moment baby was in the world, he was wrapped around all their little fingers and toes. Sometimes Rio has a hard time with discipline, but it’s something he’s working on.

This could be just me, but you can have your own opinion!

So we know that in every Ikemen game, it has become a trend of introducing three new characters to the initial roster.

For example, in Ikegen they released - Akihito, Ibuki, Sueharu

Ikepri - Gilbert, Silvio, Keith.

Ikevamp - Vlad, Faust, Charles, and two more characters.

Ikesen - Kicho, Kanetsugu, Keiji

Ikerev - Mousse, Dalim, Dean

Cybird initially teases us on Twitter by releasing their silhouette first and then releasing their short voice line where we have to guess the voice actor, and then after sometime officially reveals the characters and their voice actors and then reveals all their information, from their personality to their relationship with the old characters and what role they will play in the story. After all this, they officially show these new characters in a new prologue and them interacting with MC. They show it in a way as if they are scheming something, but it wouldn't be a surprise at this point because we already know who they are.

But don't you think it's much better if they don't reveal the faces of these characters at all? For example, let's take Ikepri (I know I always take ikegen as an example but for this time, let's take everyone's fav game, Ikepri). Imagine this, what if Cybird doesn't even reveal, the names of Gilbert, Silvio and Keith, their designs, or who they are. NOTHING. Imagine if they posted only their silhouettes on Twitter. After that, they straight up released the 2nd act prologue. While reading the 2nd act prologue, Emma a.k.a YOU meet Gilbert outside your room. Since cybird didn't reveal anything about this guy, you who are reading the prologue have no idea who this eyepatch guy is. He drags you to the ball and when the guard finally introduced the name 'Gilbert Von Obsidian, the First Prince of Obsidian' you will be surprised! Straight-up SHOCKED!! Don't you think that will enhance the player's experience even more?

Because Cybird released everything about Gilbert, Silvio and Keith, I'm pretty sure you guys weren't as surprised when their names were revealed.

Just think about it! Players will get more curious about these 3 new characters and will be willing to find out more about them. If Cybird released all their information beforehand, the only thing the player will look forward to is their routes.

🎧Ikemen Series R18 Seiyuu Masterlist🎧

As I have said before, I am listing Cybird Ikemen Series characters and their voice actors, indicating whether they've done R18 otome drama CDs and how I find their performances. I'm mostly familiar with Ikemen Sengoku, Revolution, Vampire, and Prince, but I'll include some Genjiden, Live, and Villains when applicable.

Since I've outed myself as an R18 drama cd enthusiast (connoisseur lmao), might as well lean into it completely 👀 This is going to be long, and nsfw language abound; MINORS DNI!!!! Please don't let this destroy your image of me lmao 😂🥹

Note on the distinction: R18 in this case is when you can hear the characters climax (voice actors use pseudonyms for these); some drama CDs are nsfw, but they cut off before the climax, so R15? R16? (voice actors use their real names here); sfw are just kissing, nothing spicy (VA real names).

Ikemen Sengoku

5 out of 17. Small number.

Oda Nobunaga (VA: Sugita Tomokazu): None, sfw only. I don't know if I'd listen if he'd ever have one; he'll always be Gintoki and Kagerou to me.

Toyotomi Hideyoshi (VA: Toriumi Kousuke): None, also sfw only.

Akechi Mitsuhide (VA: Takeuchi Shunsuke): None, he's too young let him live purely a little longer lmao

Date Masamune (VA: Katou Kazuki): None, but I'm curious. He could do a Taniyama Kishou and dabble here and there 👀

Tokugawa Ieyasu (VA: Masuda Toshiki): Yes. Listen, I like his voice, I like to listen to his slightly raspy and husky voice. It's soothing to my ears. I like his sfw drama cds, the ones I've listened to. But his nsfw ones? He needs his kisses and sucking noises wetter. He needs to practice more *hinthint*

Ishida Mitsunari (VA: Yamaya Yoshitaka): HE HAS ONE OMG I listened to his samples once, I don't know if I'd listen to it again OMG MUKU MITSUNARI MY ANGELS i can't wrap my head around soft-voiced Muku committing sins

Maeda Keiji (VA: Sawashiro Chiharu): None. From what I gather of his personality from event clips, I think I'd like to shield him from sinning a little longer too lol

Takeda Shingen (VA: Umehara Yuichiro): None. I'd like to hear him though.

Sanada Yukimura (VA: Ono Kensho): None, sfw only.

Imagawa Yoshimoto (VA: Yashiro Taku): MY BOI. It's funny how he voices angsty and sad characters in ikeseries but HE'S SO CUTE AND WHOLESOME IN DRAMA CDS. I love him in Switching best.

Uesugi Kenshin (VA: Miura Hiroaki): I am averse to yandere characters, but in this one he did, he's a tsundere. NOW I LIKE KENSHIN BY ASSOCIATION. Miura's drama cd is one of my favorites, sad but romantic.

Sarutobi Sasuke (VA: Akabane Kenji): None, iirc.

Naoe Kanetsugu (VA: Nakagawa Akinori): None. I don't know if he's done sfw ones, but I'd be willing to listen to them, just so I can add more Kanetsugu voice reference lol

Kennyo (VA: Shingaki Tarusuke): Hehe. Hehehehe. Heh. It's been a while, I want to hear him again. Especially when he whispers against my ear amidst a packed train. I also liked his cute and flustered daycare employee cd. HA. SE. BAE.

Mori Ranmaru (VA: Aoi Shouta): None, as far as I know. I think he'd get a kick out of it, though.

Mouri Motonari (VA: Konishi Katsuyuki): None. He does sfw ones? How sfw are Cybird CDs?

Kicho (VA: Kaji Yuuki): None, but I remember he did a mature one where's he's like a yandere and a do-S and just whips you while laughing maniacally. I don't know, that was a long time ago. I didn't even remember if there were ever spicy scenes; I just remember the whipping lol

Ikemen Revolution

This game is, like, the treasure trove of R18 voice actors. 13 out of 17 have done at least one R18 drama cd. Well done, IkeRev!

Lancelot Kingsley (VA: Okamoto Nobuhiko): None, sfw only. He usually uses his cute voice for these CDs.

Jonah Clemence (VA: Hanae Natsuki): Yes, early on. I think he stopped after he married. Listened to two of his CDs, his voice is too soft for my tastes. He does good moaning and whining.

Edgar Bright (VA: Yashiro Taku): see Imagawa Yoshimoto

Zero (VA: Kumagai Kentarou): MY LOVE, MY CURRENT OBSESSION. He does desperate, drugged out, and angry-at-life so well. His moans and kisses are 💯 I prefer his boyishly youthful voice than his deeper one. When he hits that high-pitched whine *chef's kiss* He comes so prettily *dreamy sigh*

Kyle Ash (VA: Furukawa Makoto): What a man, what a voice. Personally I liked his earlier works because there were more variety in the plots and characters, but I think he works best with plotty CDs and/or emotional drama. Rouge et Noir comes to mind; REUNION for the drama. I enjoy the CDs where his voice is cooler, not too high-pitched, not too deep. He sighs when he kisses, and it sounds divine.

Ray Blackwell (VA: Shimono Hiro): He did a few early in the r18 drama cd years. I remember the one where he was a yandere butler. It was also a mobile game, but I didn't know which came first (I think the game). There was also that teacher x student cd. He also did Wasurenagusa as Todo Heisuke iirc.

Sirius Oswald (VA: Suwabe Junichi): None. This man was born with a velvet voice bUT FOR WHAT

Luka Clemence (VA: Enoki Junya): He has a recognizable voice (makes me think of aluminium idkw). He did an angsty incest one and a servant to a lady one. They're okay. His orgasms need more work, though.

Fenrir Godspeed (VA: Kakihara Tetsuya): Semi-active. My fave is the one where he's childhood friends with the MC and has a badboy/playboy rep but he's actually a virgin I think, or at least acts like a blushing maiden when he did it with the MC (who takes control of the sex). He's vocal in this one; he cried at one point because he came prematurely. It's funny and I love it.

Seth Hyde (VA: Murata Taishi): PLEASE. PLEASE LISTEN TO KOIBITO VS NIJIGEN VOL 1. HE'S JEALOUS OF MC'S OSHI LMAO IT'S SO META AND HILARIOUS I LOVE IT.

Harr Silver (VA: Terashima Junta): I'll buy any r18 cd this man makes, period.

Loki Genetta (VA: Murase Ayumu): He did one. Like Hanae, his voice is too soft for my taste. He did, however, once choked on a candy trying to emulate blowjob noises for a BLCD, I don't know what else to tell you.

Blanc Lapin (VA: Shirai Yusuke): CHAOTIC KING. A couple of times, he tried to insert objects up his ass, just to know what it feels like lmao. What dedication. I liked his first R18 otome drama cd where he's a submissive and breedable pirate subordinate (MC is the pirate captain).

Oliver Knight (VA: Hamano Daiki): He did some. Haven't listened to any of them though.

Mousse Atlas (VA: Toki Shunichi): He did one! Around the same time with Yamaya. At the time I was liking him for voicing Ginji in Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi. Haven't listened to it though. Also did a few more.

Dean Tweedle (VA: Wada Masanari): I don't think so.

Dalim Tweedle (VA: Asato Yuya): Ditto.

Ikemen Vampire

5 out of 17. Funny how this is the game where sucking and sexytiems are advertised and yet!

Napoleon Bonaparte (VA: Shimazaki Nobunaga): Not R18 ones, but he did some for Rejet? I don't know.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (VA: Toyonaga Toshiyuki): Sfw only, I think.

Leonardo Da Vinci (VA: Tsuda Kenjiro): None as far as I know.

Arthur Conan Doyle (VA: Kimura Ryohei): None. He does some for Rejet. Wasurenagusa. I love him as Utashiro in Yuugen Romantica!

Vincent van Gogh (VA: Aramaki Yoshihiko): None. I want to listen to his Vincent voice more though. Very soothing, perfect for falling asleep.

Theodorus van Gogh (VA: Sato Hisanori): None. As Theo he should be braver in making sucking noises lmao

Osamu Dazai (VA: Yashiro Taku): see Imagawa Yoshimoto

Isaac Newton (VA: Aoi Shouta): see Mori Ranmaru

Jean d'Arc (VA: Someya Toshiyuki): None. I like the quality of his deep voice though.

William Shakespeare (VA: Hirakawa Daisuke): Yes, plenty, but not as active as before.

Comte de Saint-Germain (VA: Horie Kazuma): Yes, way back when, which explains why he's so good at ear-whispering. I only know he worked for one series (and sequels) where he's a tsundere student council vice president (?). A CONFESSION: I listened to his drama cds when I was writing That Comte Fic in order to capture the mood of the sexual tension.

Sebastian (VA: Morishima Shuta): None. After watching him in Cybird events, I'd probably laugh at him or pity him. I can no longer imagine him doing R18 based on his Cybird hyper host image.

Vlad (VA: Saito Soma): None. Shame. I really want to hear more of Vlad 😏

Johann Georg Faust (VA: Kamio Shinichiro): None. With his voice, I'd rather he read erotica to me.

Charles-Henri Sanson (VA: Kijima Ryuichi): He has one; listened to the samples, his voice here is same as Charles's. Actually, even the character looks like Charles lol. There seems to be a bathtub sex scene there. Or hot spring, I dunno.

Galileo Galilei (VA: Furukawa Makoto): see Kyle Ash

Francis Drake (VA: Hatanaka Tasuku): None, far as I know.

Ikemen Prince

4 out of 13. lol

Leon Dompteur (VA: Katou Kazuki): see Date Masamune

Chevalier Michel (VA: Ono Yuuki): I'm trying to look for any of his works that has Chevalier's timbre but he does more lighter voices! Sad. He did a couple of hardcore ones, but I liked the one where he's a tsundere magician.

Yves Kloss (VA: Uchida Yuuma): None?

Nokto Klein (VA: Eguchi Takuya): He did one a long time ago. It was a hentai game I think, the Queen Bee one? There's a drama cd for that. The characters are all insane if I'm not mistaken.

Licht Klein (VA: Oomi Shoichiro): None.

Clavis Lelouch (VA: Nojima Kenji): It's funny, because his brother had done R18 drama cd BUT HE HASN'T D: EDIT: WAIT WAIT WAIT I THINK HE DID R18 LET ME CONFIRM OH MY GOD EDIT EDIT: I listened to it but – the name credit gave it away – it's not R18 😞 It is, however, a yandere vampire cd so there's ear licking, biting, and blood drinking. But that's it. Sad. He would've been good with r18 >.>

Jin Grandet (VA: Yasumoto Hiroki): He did some, and he's coming back in the bdsm game What in Hell is Bad? !!!!! Haven't listened to any of his CDs though.

Luke Randolph (VA: Yoshitaka Sion): None.

Sariel Noir (VA: Hayami Show): None. I don't know if he does sfw CDs.

Rio Ortiz (VA: Mineta Hiromu): None. He, Oomi, and Yoshitaka are the hosts of IkePri Cybird events; I still see them as kids, I'm leaving them alone.

Silvio Ricci (VA: Satou Takuya): I AM A SHRINE MAIDEN AND HE IS THE GOD I WORSHIP. My all-time fave. I'm willing to make a recommendation list if you ask 😂 He's prolific (!!!!!), I think he's done every character tropes – tsundere, yandere, ore-sama, senpai, kouhai, osananajimi, CEO, do-S, do-M, dom, sub, oniisan, and so on. He's so good and dedicated at capturing character tics?? He slurs his words when he's lust-drunk oh my god. He needs to do more do-M and/or submissive characters pLEASE I NEED IT

Keith Howell (VA: Hatano Wataru): None, sfw only I believe. EDIT: I was told he did R18 games hehehurrr 😏 (thank you for that info!)

Gilbert von Obsidian (VA: Asanuma Shintarou): None.

For the games below I'll just list those who have done R18 drama CDs.

Ikemen Genjiden

Tamamo (VA: Tamaru Atsushi): I got used to his cutesy voice that I forget he's good at deep voices too! My fave of his is Nochikare where he's a wanko-type kouhai, he's so cute there I'd smash a table from so much cute aggression.

Nasu no Yoichi (VA: Suzuki Ryouta): I know he did some before, heard a couple of his. Could've been better. (Tbf, this was during the time when R18 drama CDs were just starting out. So I think many key players were new to it, compared with BLCD.)

Kurama (VA: Morikawa Toshiyuki): I can't have Sephiroth whispering in my ear lol. That aside, I really couldn't imagine him doing R18 because he's known to voice iconic characters. And yet here we are. His Yamazaki Susumu in Wasurenagusa took me out because of his drunk line, "Nyaruhodo." I will never look at Sephiroth the same way again lmao. But yeah, I haven't listened to his works properly because they were made years ago.

Kitsuji Sueharu (VA: Komatsu Shohei): MY NEW FAVE, MY NEW LOVE, MY NEW OBSESSION OH MY GOD?! I haven't bought any of his works (WHICH I SHOULD REMEDY IN THE FUTURE) but from the sample of this one CD I – I JUST. H-He's good. I love the sound of his panting 😭

Ikemen Live

I'd like to mention here that I love KENN's character in Yuugen Romantica. It's not R18, but that is one of the few sfw drama CD series that I listen to and enjoy.

Chigusa Kyouichirou (VA: Itou Kento): Deep voice, cute high-pitched moans! Love him.

Fujishiro Meguru (VA: Kuroda Takaya): Haven't listened to his works yet.

Mashiro Kanade (VA: Fukamachi Toshinari): Only found one, and wow. Gosh. What an aggressive CD 😂

Shinonomi Eisuke (VA: Taniyama Kishou): Len Tsukimori 😭 It's been a while since I listened to him. All I remember is that he also did a vampire drama CD (LOL HE SHOULD'VE BEEN IN IKEVAMP) but I can no longer recall the details.

Tsubaki Makoto (VA: Ono Yuuki): see Chevalier Michel

Ikemen Villains

William Rex (VA: Tachibana Shinnosuke): I AM SO FOND OF HIS VOICE. What's funny is that my favorite works of his are not R18. Wasurenagusa is probably my ultimate fave out of his CDs. Primarily because he used his ax crazy voice there. I AM LIVING FOR HIS AX CRAZY, MANIACAL VOICE. It's *chef's kiss* perfection. He also did one in Midnight Jiang Shis. But for R18 I like his Otona no Meruhen best. He often portrays do-S characters, but I want him to do more do-M.

Harrison Gray (VA: Sugiyama Noriaki): I know a couple! Girl's Therapist where he's a beautician and Otona no Meruhen where he's a tsundere wolfboy. He puts the uke in Sasuke huh lol Recently listened again to his wolfboy cd. It's entertaining enough (the story was more entertaining than the sex scenes lmao [but that's a given in Otona no Meruhen series]).

Roger Barel (VA: Eguchi Takuya): see Nokto Klein

Victor (VA: Takahashi Hiroki): I'm surprised he has one; haven't listened to it though.

So that's it! If you've reached this part, wow congrats I salute you, please don't think of me differently now lmao.

I'm sure more of them have done BLCD, but I'm only familiar with otome drama CDs. Cybird drama CDs may have spicy moments, but since they're using the voice actors' names, I'm pretty sure that they don't include R18 scenes; hence, this list. If you know a voice actor who did an R18 otome drama cd but is listed here as not having one, tell me!

Reincarnation…

A collection event is taking place in Genjiden right now… I chose Cute demon for the screen. Don't judge.

Every time I open the event page and hear him say something, I think how familiar his voice sounds… And yesterday I suddenly had an idea… Isn't it Sirius?.. Sirius is always my main card in IkeRev… so I hear his voice in every battle (or whatever it's called).

I checked...

Year... it's him.

I even found a list of all the voice actors from IkeGen.

Since I found out that Jonah’s VA (Natsuki Hanae) is the same voice actor that voices Taichi in Digimon’s new movie (also I just realized, Luka’s VA voices Takeru too omggg), I ended up stalking searching google more about him and his other roles and I accidentally happen to this video here: a duet between Hanae and Suwabe!!! I don’t even know about this anime, but watching this I can’t help but admire how their voices actually sound good together??? (also reading those lyrics, sounds like they’re confessing to each other lolol)

Okay, now that I look at those two pics, it almost looked like child versions of Jonah and Sirius themselves (but voiced by the other seiyuu lol). I see you are worried for ikegen future after the news about Ikerev. I mean, I was devastated. We haven't event gotten Blanc route yet. But... Maybe it's a sign that they will release ikegen in English? Or am I just crazy?

This is just my theory. Maybe they decided to shut down Ikemen revolution because they're planning on releasing a new game. Because like I said, Cybird must know when to stop. I know many fans still like the older games, but if they want to release new games in the future and if you want to play newer games, at some point both have to stop and move on, right? It's sad, but we can't do anything about it. At least we could say Ikerev survived more than 4 years I guess...it's copium...which is way better than what happened to Ikelive. No one even talked about that game when it was released and that survived for only 6 months or so. If you go to the Ikelive official website, you can read the interviews of the voice actors and it is so heartbreaking to see that they had so much planned for the game and its upcoming events but due to not gaining enough popularity it had to be shut down.

This comes to my second question, why Ikerev instead of Ikegen? Between the two, Ikerev is more popular than Ikegen. It even got an English release and has a larger fanbase than Ikegen. But I was confused as to what is the actual popularity benchmark. Some JP players (who, like me, were paranoid if ikegen would be next!) said that the popularity of their games is not only determined by the votes that are gained from the general election, but also from the merchandise purchased for each game and their revenue, as well. Because Cybird like any other company is greedy. Now I'm not saying that you should go spend your life savings on Ikemen genjiden to make it popular...No! The reason why I started this blog was to make people aware that this game exists. Because when I found out about this game, I saw no one on Tumblr posting about anything related to it. No fanarts, no fanfictions, heck! not even a rant post saying that 'Hey! Ikemen genjiden is shit. Don't play it'... So I tried the game myself to check if it was even worth my time and since then I've never uninstalled it. I started to write as many translations as I could because I know English players won't play the game until it has a global release and it's a painful process to sit down and translate each line. That's why I did the painful work so that you can guys somehow enjoy this game. I felt like if more people started playing the JP app, voting for the general election on their anniversary, answering their survey, etc will let them know that even English players are interested in their game. You don't have to buy their merchandise if you don't want to, but at least show some support by downloading the JP app and playing. Again! I'm not saying that waste all your time, 24 hours a day, playing this game. I'm just saying, if you want to support the game and enjoy more contents, play the Japanese app. Even if you don't understand what's going on, you can at least enjoy the spine-chilling soundtracks!

I already translated 3 main stories in my blog, @sakura-samsara is translating SHigehira and Yoichi's route, @yoshitsune1411 is doing the Kagetoki route. So check their blogs as well. If none of these are your favorite characters? No problem! I have a solution for that too. You can ask summary for each route from world-famous Ikemen writer @dear-mrs-otome herself. I'm sure she won't mind. (Please don't curse me @dear-mrs-otome for using your name...). If you're still complaining, use a translator! You guys didn't seem to mind playing the JP app of ikemen prince when it was released then why are you not doing the same thing for ikemen genjiden.

See, if you want Ikemen genjiden it has to be very popular and just because they shut down Ikerev doesn't mean that Ikegen's English release is possible. Because if they wanted it, they would have already done it.

Also, the other two people who send me some other questions relating to Ikemen genjiden...don't worry! I've already seen it, I'll answer it soon because I need some time to gather some facts about each character to give somewhat of an accurate answer. I'm also a little busy, right now. I'll upload it soon. So please bear with me.

Thanks for sharing the long questionnaire about IkeRev. I'm really hoping it takes a slightly more adult tone, the lore of the story has so much potential. Are there rumours of new Ikemen Games coming out to Japan? How often do they release new games?

IkeRev's lore got so much potential I just hope they continue to expand on that. There's the mention of foreign countries in Wonderland too but perhaps it won't be until Mousse's route that we get more deeds on other countries in addition to Cradle (and Land of Mirror)

If you look at the app release timeline below, you'll see that up until last year a new Ikemen Game was released annually. However, so far there's no words on any new (game) title being released.

Just my guess here, but this is most likely because of both the COVID situation as well as Cybird deciding to shift their focus to the existing titles and how to build on from those. (Ikemen Prince is speeding through with the 9th of the original 10 suitors' route announced together with 3 additional new suitor + Act 2 and it's not even 1.5 year since the app was released, IkeVamp is getting an Act 2.5, and IkeSen got the release of these "suitors' past" stories series)

Well, we did get "Ikemen Calendar" (region locked to Japan) but that's not a new game title (no we aren't getting year of the months or days of the week as Ikemens lmaooo)

It's literally a calendar app with reminders (in the suitors' voice) and alarm functions. Completely new voice lines were recorded by their voice actors just for this app.

At the moment, there are 6 available suitors to choose from. Nokto (IkePri), Tamamo (IkeGen), Arthur (IkeVamp), Ray (IkeRev), Kenshin (IkeSen), and Vlad (IkeVamp).

The service is subscription based and you need to subscribe to be able to use it.

(First 14 days is a free trial period and the subscription isn't charged until the end of that)

There are two options for the subscription plan,

480 JPY monthly (can only access 1 character. You can change to another character after 1 month have passed by but in that case, you need to wait another month before you can change back)

960 JPY monthly (can access all available characters)

Personally, I'm on the 480 JPY per month plan with Nokto chosen ever since Day 1 and haven't once changed to someone else.

The longer you subscribe, the more "secret" voice lines become available after reaching certain milestones (30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days, 150 days, 180 days, 210 days, 240 days, 270 days, 300 days, 330 days, 360 days)

I'm approaching the 210 days milestone soon 👀

In addition, by opening the app daily and completing the daily missions (opening the app, setting reminders, stopping an alarm) you can raise your intimacy with the character you have chosen (intimacy max out at Lv 50) and unlock alternative outfits (sprites) and backgrounds to use for your main screen.
