Hmm… That’s a good question!

I think if Rowan participated they’d wipe the floor with everyone, but they wouldn’t (unless pressed to do so). Though Clarissa may be able to get an upper hand in a few instances.

Clarissa, Isadora, Theon, and Astrid would probably be the top contenders. Clarissa being an Archangel, Isadora due to her various capabilities (and lack of care for the rules at times), Theon due to his abilities with shadows, and Astrid because of her actual battle experience (being a Valkyrie).

Though Grimm would be able to hold his own too, and I think Esmé would surprise people with her tenacity.

Eden part nineteen

Note: This is the last of the "Ezra explaining what happened to him" chapters, because I believe in the rule of threes. His online friends get a much more vulnerable view into his mind than his roommates.

While rifling through his old things, trying to regain some semblance of himself, Ezra found his smartphone. It seemed insane that Christopher had returned it here while his roommates weren't home, but it would have been easy after getting Ezra's keys during the kidnapping. He had even bothered to plug it in.

The number of texts Ezra had received while missing was overwhelming, despite being solidily in the double digits. He ignored most of them in favor of messaging the only friends he actually trusted with any of this.

He dropped a text in the group chat. Just a simple "Hey bitches, I lived." He didn't have to wait long until his friends all messaged him back, despite their very separate time zones.

Isadora: 'sup biatch? missed u

Tristian: Oh my God! Are you okay?!

Rowan: oh hey ezra

Ezra: Don't worry. Don't worry. I just got kidnapped. Didn't have my phone for obvious reasons. I'm once again here to grace you with my presence.

Rowan: glad to see youre feeling okay

Tristan: YOU GOT KIDNAPPED

Ezra: I am physically unharmed and mentally destroyed. Thanks for checking in.

Isadora: moood

Tristan: What the hell happened? Tell me everything right this instant.

Ezra: Long message incoming-

Ezra took a moment to sort out exactly what he was going to say, typing and retyping the same message over and over again. He could always get his feelings across much better in text than in person. So much time to rehearse and fact check.

Ezra: I got kidnapped by a man named Christopher. He was in his fifties and lived in the woods. Then I got the usual stalker monolog about how much he loved me and wanted to keep me for himself. (Despite how stressed out I was, this made my NPD very happy) I settled down with him. It was genuinely such a blast. I was basically his pet cat. Don't worry, he wasn't weird or anything. It was totally platonic and you know that made my narcissistic aroace ass very happy. Well, I did think that I had fallen in love with him at one point. But he cleared that up pretty quick. (Clearing it up involved gaslighting but whatever) And I realized that it was just NPD fuelled platonic obsession making me jealous of his fiance. With me so far? - 👀²

Ezra was very aware that he had mentioned NPD three times in this text. But it was imperative that his friends understood this was the fault of his personality disorder, and not some flaw he could be judged for.

Rowan: when you said kidnapped i thought you meant held for ransom not… all that - 👆²

Isadora: im kinda jealous of u lolll

Tristian: Don't say stuff like that, Dora. This isn't funny.

Ezra: …it is kinda funny. How many times have I joked about wanting someone to care enough to stalk me, and it happened. Knock on enough doors asking to see the devil and he might answer and all that

Isadora: i was gonna say that lmao

Rowan: hey ezra, do you need anything? you okay?

Ezra: I just need to talk. Shelly and Harry were supremely unhelpful. Buckle up bitches, because it's only getting worse from here. - 🫂²

Tristan: IT GETS WORSE THAN STALKING AND KIDNAPPING

Ezra: You know it, my good dude.

Tristan: HOW COULD IT POSSIBLY GET WORSE

Tristan: EZRA I WORRY ABOUT YOU - 🤝³

Ezra: Haha me too

Ezra: Anyhow

Ezra: Christopher was engaged to this man named Colt, right? They didn't live together though. Colt was the most obnoxious asshole I've ever met. I don't think toxic masculinity does it justice. Christopher was literally the greatest person ever and he deserved much better than Colt. He was also keeping someone captive to torture them. They couldn't remember their own name so I started calling them Jay. They were in really bad shape, obviously. I tried taking care of them but obviously I couldn't do much. They're what really mentally destroyed me, not anything to do with how I was being treated. - 🫂³

Isadora: hoollyyy fuuckk

Tristian: This is absolutely insane. I'm so sorry you went through that. It sounds like the plot of a horror story, not something you should have to deal with in real life. If there is anything I can do to help, please tell me.

Ezra felt warmth spread from his heart to the rest of his body. Finally, someone had told him exactly what he had been fishing to hear. And he had hardly needed to manipulate them into it.

It wasn't his fault. He didn't deserve it. Colt was the one to blame for Jay's death, not him. His life had always been a bad horror story, and it did wonders to hear it confirmed by an outside observer.

Ezra: You guys are so nice. - 💚¹ 🖤¹ 💖¹

Isadora: well duh i love u

Rowan: we all love you

Tristan: That's right. And don't forget it.

Tristian: Now, are you going to call the police or is it too risky?

Ezra: Fun fact. Jay and Colt are dead. And obviously Christopher is wonderful so I don't want him thrown in jail. I'm hoping he takes me back but I accidentally ran away when I was freaked out about Jay's death, so he might be mad at me.

Isadora: :(((

Tristan: I know you're dealing with a lot. But you need to move on. You were kidnapped. You need to try to be your own person again.

Ezra: But have you considered that. I. Don't. Want. To.

Isadora: fair

Tristian: No. Not "fair". Ezra, you can't spend the rest of your life as the victim.

Ezra: I've spent the last twenty-three years doing just that. Self victimization is an art form that I have perfected to a science.

Rowan: this isnt self victimization. some body else victimized you.

Ezra: hmmmmmm

Ezra: Less work for me then!!

Isadora: agahshsjsjdgaafdsgxbzfafs

Tristan: This is not funny.

Tristan: I believe in you, Ezra. Please believe in yourself. You can have a good life if you just try. You don't need the validation of your stalker. What you do need is time to yourself to recover from the impact Jay's death had on you.

Rowan: seconded

Isadora: dont leave us again dude

Isadora: we missed u

Ezra: It's my choice and my life. I was happier with Christopher than I've ever been with anyone else. Now that Colt and Jay are dead, there's nothing in the way of us being happy again.

Tristan: Ezra, listen.

Ezra: No. You're going to listen to me.

Ezra: You guys just don't get it. I want someone to want me. More than anything. Fucking hell, I've never even met any of you irl, and you're my best friends. I don't really have anyone. Of course I'm willing to excuse kidnapping and shit. I got everything I ever wanted in life, and I didn't have to work for it. I was fucking loved.

Rowan: im sorry

Tristan: Thank you for saying that. It's really important to get your feelings out. But I think that if you really want to be around this Christopher, you need to be on equal footing. Meet up in public. Don't go home with him until you have a chance to know who he is when he doesn't have control over your life.

Ezra threw his phone at the wall. Why was Tristan being so damn condescending? Would it hurt him to be nice?

Well, okay, Tristan hadn't actually been condescending. But someone other than Ezra being right when he was wrong always felt condescending, regardless of actual intentions.

Tristan's plan sounded good though. Ezra might have to try it. He quite wanted to get coffee with Christopher. If only he could find him.

Some fun facts: - This list is not quite in order of when the first usages of these names appeared, but it's pretty close. - Assuming I caught everything and did the math correctly, Trent's daughter has been mentioned by name in 192 fics! For reference, Trent has been tagged as a character in 395 and does not actually appear in some of those, so she's really named in over 49% of the fics he's in. - Of the approximately 77(!) names used, ~33 have been used in multiple fics (including several series), and ~21 of those have been used by multiple different authors. - Seraphina and Georgie are tied for most usages (18 each) but when it comes to usages by the most authors, Seraphina (probably unsurprisingly, given how many people have been inspired by a kind of dwell and welcome) wins in a landslide with 15.

Well, it seems we're not getting a canon name! I guess she's our daughter now. I haven't decided whether I'm going to maintain this list going forward (though for my own sanity I'm leaning towards no) but at least it's fully up to date as of 7:30 pm est today (May 31, 2023).

Some "final" statistics: The numbers aren’t perfect, because there were a few names I grouped together and probably should have counted separately, and a few names I counted separately and probably should have grouped together, and those may or may not have balanced out, but keeping that in mind, about 110 names were used! About 49 were used in multiple fics (including individual installments in several series) and about 35 of those were used by multiple authors. Trent’s daughter has been mentioned by name in about 298 fics by 149 authors. This includes works in which she’s mentioned but doesn’t show up as a character, but doesn’t account for works in which her existence is mentioned but not by name. Fun fact, about 21 new names were used just while season three was airing!

mini guide for my ocs based on their genres for future potential interactions!

fantasy/modern fantasy/supernatural - if you’re having trouble picking a muse of mine, i would suggest isadora because she’s pretty much one of my friendliest muses and i can put her easily everywhere. the others that can work are fortune, aejung, rowan, hallie-rose, winifred, elisa, penelope, rafael, xerxes and alphonsus! if anyone would like to go for high fantasy rps, i’ve got an ice mage verse for blythe and rowan could be a witch without magic. denise could work too since she’s a supernatural/cryptid vlogger.

superhero - i do have a few superhero muses here. krystal/neon chaser would be the easiest for me to write because of her secret identity as a fast food worker, as well as lourdes/red knuckles because of her celebrity occupation. the rest that could work for these are nerissa, naiyana/blythe despite she’s not a superhero but she’s like a metahuman but she can be easily adapted on that setting. and if anyone wants to go for darker and angsty route, i would suggest hyunsook too. she’s not a supervillain but her (late) husband is depending on the verse. i think hyunsook is flexible muse for me too, as she’s down to interact with both superhero and supervillain muses.

crime/mystery/thriller - gahee and jinho. they’ve both worked on the same company but whenever they’ve got the time they solve crimes and various mysteries around seoul. i’d love to have some more threads for these two snooping and investigating, though i won’t mind them performing their regular day jobs on threads. this seung-cha investigating crime duo deserves more interactions. i can also put fidel and isagani on this field, but they’ve both got a darker and horror themed storyline with ghosts and paranormal involved.

modern, sports, drama, slice of life - if you’re into something that doesn’t involve supernatural and wanna have less complex plotting, meredith and bongcha would be the ones i can think of. i can easily put meredith in different countries where she can promote cocoa haven, same goes for bongcha where she travels and joins in figure skating competitions.

space/scifi - if you’d like scifi and space themed threads, i could offer xalanna. xalanna is a time travelling alien who is a princess of chronos. she does have little to no knowledge about the earth culture. xalanna’s a very curious individual and i can pretty much put her in any timeline and setting, since she’s got a time travelling device that enables her to travel various timelines and worlds. i could also offer eirian despite he’s leaning more into fantasy genre but i’m down to him interacting with space/scifi characters too.

action/adventure - this only applies to deborah because she’s an illegal treasure hunter. i would love to have a thread where she meets someone during her heists or have a work partner with her where they hunt illegal artifacts together. i can also write a verse where she’s and archeologists too.

Rowan and Perrito. I can easily adapt Rowan into a fantasy setting where she's a witch in Far Far Away without any magic. I feel like Rowan can easily match Perrito's energy and doesn't mind him being very chatty and optimistic. In fact, she admires his positivity and she would definitely give him affection.

Blythe and Bailey. An AU where Blythe is an Ice Mage and Bailey's a Dragon? Imagine they happen to meet somewhere and Blythe can't help but feel intrigued when she saw a Beluga Dragon and maybe if she gets comfortable enough to know Bailey well, Blythe can ride on him when she needs to go somewhere, who knows?

Isadora and Goldi. I have a fantasy verse for Isadora where she's a forest spirit of some sort so what if forest spirits or forest guardians exist in a fairy tale universe? I don't know how Goldi and The Three Bears would react to meeting forest spirits but I thought it'd be interesting, although I still have no solid idea for how they can meet but maybe before The Last Wish happens?

Ari Diamond (Freelancer) - Madeline 'Maddie' Diamond and Benjamin Diamond Sr

Madeline was born a freelancer, but after injecting herself with shade essence, she went insane. She would give birth to three children before being arrested by D.U.M.P:

Benjamin Diamond Jr, Shade Hybrid

Ben Sr was born a wolf shifter, and is the beta of the Montriguez pack. He is a sociopath, who encouraged Maddie's experiments, and even pushed her to experiment on Ben Jr before being arrested alongside his wife.

Ben Jr has never been to school before, and was taken in by an inchoate daemon named Chara. He is currently being homeschooled by his adoptive father.

Aiko Yurihime (Angel) - Takara Yurihime and Kokoro Yurihime

Takara was born an unempowered human in Japan. She got a job as an assistant to a modelling company and lived a fairly normal life until she met Kokoro. She was immediately smitten and hooked up with him, having two children:

Kokoro was born a fox shifter in Japan, and had a glamorous upbringing. By the time he was in his 20s, he was rich, famous, handsome and a supermodel. After Takara told him she had gotten pregnant, he married her in order to not only support her, but to be in his children's life. This was a bad idea, and after a lot of fighting, they'd divorce.

Aiko and Hikari were split in the divorce. Aiko went with Takara and Hikari stayed with Kokoro. Aiko is taking after his father more than his mother.

Briar Forrest (Baaabe) - Caroline Forrest and Cedar Forrest

Caroline was born in New York, being an unempowered human. She had dreams to be a teacher, but put that on hold because a fling with Cedar got her pregnant. While Caroline never blamed Cedar for her having to give up on her dreams, she did blame her children, despite the fact she had 10 of them:

When Briar left, Sage began working many different jobs in order to buy a place where he and his siblings could live without their parents. So far, he's half way there.

Olethros Nyxium (Sweetheart) - Persephone Nyxium and Erebos Nyxium

Persephone was born in Greece, although the exact date is unknown due to her family being so closed off. She was named after the goddess of fertility and queen of the underworld, as a way of paying tribute to Persephone. She was arranged to marry Erebos, and gave birth to 25 sets of twins, although only two have left their families home:

Artemis Nyxium, ???

Erebos was born in Greece as well, and the exact date is unknown. He was named after the primordial god of Tartarus, as a way of paying tribute to him. Erebos would be in an arranged marriage with Persephone, and would father 50 children with her.

Olethros carried out a number of whirlwind romances before meeting Milo, although the only one he wanted to last was with his oldest friend.

Artemis Surcorrose (Lovely) Elizabeth Surcorrose and Andrew Surcorrose

Elizabeth was born in America, but she moved to Greece as a child. She felt alone and isolated, but she then met Andrew, and they become close friends. When they grew up, they were married and adopted 3 children, as Elizabeth was infertile:

Artemis Surcorrose, Electro energetic

Andrew grew up in Greece, and was a very lively child. He quickly made friends with other kids, including Elizabeth, who he grew up to marry. He was a very strict father towards his children, believing that tough love would make them strong.

Artemis moved to Dahlia as a young adult, and dyed her hair purple as a fit of rebellion. She developed an interest in paranormal places right away, which led to her exploring Wonderworld.

Oliver Montcroix (Darlin') - Charlotte Montcroix and Duncan Montcroix

Charlotte was born in Oxford, England. She was a wolf shifter, and enjoyed running with her pack. She met Duncan when she was 17, and was immediately smitten with the Direwolf shifter. They got married and had 4 children together:

George Montcroix, Wolf shifter

Ophelia Montcroix, Direwolf shifter

Duncan was born in London, England. He was a Direwolf shifter, which was rare among wolf shifters. He was made alpha of his pack at 22, when his 3rd son was on the way. After George was born, he moved the family to Dahlia for diplomatic purposes.

Charlotte, Duncan, Oscar, Noah and George were killed by wolf hunters, leaving only 3 year old Ophelia. She grew up and transitioned to male, becoming Oliver Montcroix. He doesn't remember much about his birth family.
