A couple weeks ago, I discovered that I'm allergic to oranges.

By eating an orange and Having a Bad Time.

Before I moved, I bought myself some non-mint toothpaste (mint is icky in my mouth and I hate it), and have brushed my teeth so infrequently using said toothpaste, I had forgotten til tonight that it was orange flavoured.

It did not appear relevant, until nearly the end of the comedy show I saw, wherein I had been coughing hard like COVID every time I laughed. I almost hork up a lung every time I laugh, when I'm having an allergic reaction. And I put an allergen into my mouthparts, just before going to a COMEDY SHOW.

My toothpaste is made with Actual Orange Extract, and I willingly jammed it all up into my mouthhole.

All I can think is:

You know what? Shout out to those who can't boycott due to reasons beyond their control, to those who can't donate because they're too poor, to those who work for the companies who are boycotted because they need the job, or they have trouble finding work elsewhere. To those who want to raise their voice in support of or against organizations but they can't because of expenses, or allergies, or fear of retaliation. To those who want to help, but can't. To those who need medications from companies who jack up the prices to absurd amounts. To those who've been screwed over by companies that can't really be boycotted, such as the aforementioned medical companies and insurance companies. Mmh.

Things that don't require a lot of description- LOL no i mostly like to describe interiors but i'm bad at details so it doesn't really show. I WILL tell you what kinda fabric is in those bedsheets and i WILL make Hélianthe uh, use expensive ass silk even though we all know he never sleeps in there.

PINE - What smell do you associate with your writing?

Usually none. I don't have a strong enough sense of smell to have a lot of these in memory to invoke.

Some of my writing smells like lavender though. Specifically one of my early Elder Scrolls fics.

Some other bits smell like blood.

In both of these sentences, I almost wrote tastes instead of smell. That's how shitty my sense of smell is, it's easier to imagine tastes lmfao

Currently taking an allergy test to find out out what set my last crisis off but I've done this thing so many times i can read the results and it's negative for everything ecxept dust/fungus/the like, and those don't cause the type of allergy i had. Which means it was an autoimmune reaction. And That means theres nothing to do about it except hope it doesn't happen again. And sure it hasn't happenned in years but last time it lasted 8 months.

8 months of an allergic reaction is utter hell. Just thinking abt it is making me want to cry.
