On ne va pas se voiler la face, actuellement (en ce dernier dimanche de février '24) on est perdu dans le désert "Tinhat", avec juste nos souvenirs et nos espoirs pour nous permettre d'avancer sur le petit sentier ensablé.

Sans surprise, il y en a qui flanchent, qui sont sur le point d'abandonner leur chapeau d'alu sur le bord du chemin, ou qui simplement sont déjà montés dans un autre wagon en route pour un pays plus verdoyant.

On est peut-être plus que quelques uns à garder la foi, à voir au-delà de ce qu'on veut nous faire croire, et à croire que la pluie reviendra bientôt pour nous inonder des sourires de J2 ENSEMBLE.

J2 means Jared and Jensen, which means the most logical thing to do is post my thoughts ON THE ACTORS under their tags.

Why would I post things ABOUT THE ACTORS under anything else? If anything, why wouldn't I use the tags?

I think it would be weird if I posted something about Jensen and Jared under #ChrisEvans.

Quoi ?!?! DadS comme Dad au pluriel, aka PapaS ?!?!

C'est drôle, et on ne doit pas être la seule à l'avoir remarqué, puisque Gen a rectifié sa phrase, en changeant le "dads" par le nom de son mari.

Hello J2 Fandom,

This is a rough time to be a hat, it feel like our numbers are dropping.  The beards seem to be everywhere, both in real life and on social media.  I found myself looking at each individual post and appearance and getting so frustrated.  But watching Paleyfest last night, I realized how important it is to look at the big picture and not focus on those small pieces.  I mean, yes, the J's came with their wives to Paley. They stood like beautiful male statues next them. But, then came alive in glorious fashion when they were together.  When asked about their friendship or what makes SPN last so long, or have Misha throw out the fact that they've been together their adult lives, they trip all over themselves to answer without specifically mentioning the other or their feelings for the other.  But yet when answering other questions, they are eloquent and well spoken.

I’ve heard that Supernatural has been renewed (although not officially) for season 14 and that the door is open for season 15.  It’s easy to wonder “Why would they want that!” when we all fervently hope that the end of SPN means the beginning of the end of the closet for the Js.  But I don’t think Jared and Jensen are as miserable in the current bearding climate as we are (and as we think they are). I have to think it's not as stressful as we think it is for them. I mean, it must suck, yes.  But they must be making it work because they do agree to do the added seasons.    No one is holding a gun to them and forcing the show to go as long as it had.  Unless they are masochistic, I believe it's not as bad for them as we imagine it could be.  Jared and Jensen have lived like this for years and years.  People adapt and find their normal.  Maybe I'm naive, but I have to believe that they are happy.  I think they wish it could be different, but they made the choice to be together when others said they shouldn't,  and they are living with it as best they can.

I think it's harder for us because we don't know the behind the scenes, we only see what is presented to us. We don't know how much time is spent with the beards and how much is spent together. I bet it's a heck of a lot more than we can even imagine.  And I bet they have ways to keep each other sane when they are with their beards....whether its hidden jewelry, private texts, hidden meanings behind public words.  I think, in some ways, we make J and J out to be damsels in distress who are screaming for a way out, trapped by the evil powers that be and PR, when in reality, they've got this.

I'm done with this toxic fandom. It rare to come across a fan who likes BOTH Jared AND Jensen. I never thought I'd be blocking pages of J2 haters (individually or both) or anything SPN related. All i see are people clinging and celebrating an online disagreement AND DATED IT THEIR CALENDAR. Toxic and miserable people.

It’s absolutely so sad. I refuse to do it. I try to be fair and balanced between the two because I really believe that neither one of them would want anyone to hate the the other. It’s ridiculous. I followed their careers individually and then together, and i will always be a fan of both. ❤️

Bug here. It blows my mind how women fans treat women. One hated G's reply to Jared's bday post, which I dug; he said perfect cabbages and we all know he's referring to her tits, which is both hot and loving on a husband's part. Her saying u're lucky I love u is both flirty and a sign of a deep, well-established connection. But the hater? She said sth like u're sitting in his house eating his food spending his money so shut up. That's their view of how a wife should act huh? Meek grateful slave?

I never understood that particular attitude especially by extreme Tinhat, did they expect the wives to work outside the home and provide entirely for herself while the hubands get off scot free and spend his high salary  just on himself?  Do they realize the word for those kind of husands?  Deadbeats.  Selfish deadbeats.  

Wives are supposed to spend their husband money.  Who else do they think he should give his money to, neighbour’s wife?  How do Tinhats expect the wives to manage daily expenses like groceries and other needs and she has her own needs too?

That said, I think this is a form of female competition. Male competition has a certain mutual respect among men that seems to lack among female competition.  As boys we are already boisterous and every pretend fights with sticks is also learning to cope with competition, violence, and physical harm.  I think the male brain is designed to recognize and fit into hierarchies of domaniance.  Sure this can lead to fights but when the heirarchy is settled, it stays stable longer.  I think this is why men are more direct than women, and talk so much shit towards and among themselves.  Meanhile female brains are better designed to deal with more flat and consensus-based structures, so when something happends that disturbs this consensus, women have less learned coping mechanisms to deal with it, culminating in the stereotypical back-stabbing, catty behavior.

I am not a shipper, I don’t care if you do, to each their own, I have no problem with you.  Write your fanfic, make your art, it’s all good.  But lately I have been noticing that the ships have been creeping back into the main tags.  I don’t think anyone wants to see a war start again. (whether it be between avid non shippers or the different ships). It has been very quiet and happy lately and I hope it can stay that way.
