*I imagine this would maybe happen because Sera’s ability is messing with her. Due to her remark towards Arlo when John finds her on the roof, it’s implied that she’s most likely having problems with her ability.

*Let’s say she hides it from John for a little while, not wanting to worry him too much while he’s working on character development.

*It gets a little worse and Sera starts to have trouble hiding it and John notices she’s seeming off.

*She tells him bc she doesn’t wanna keep too many secrets from him now that they’re friends again.

*He gets a bit panicked and starts to blame himself for her ability troubles since he’s the reason she strained her ability.

*She calms him down and shrugs it off, saying that it’s not a problem.

*He gets more worried by her nonchalant words.

*Lets say they have a mini argument. Nothing too big, just a little disagreement bc John’s worried.

*And in the argument, John lets it slip that he’s in love with Sera.

*She’s kinda in shock for a moment, just staring at him with wide eyes.

*John starts to regret saying it and tries to backtrack while Sera’s still in shock.

*And then he sees the blush on her face as she processes it.

*She confesses her feeling for him as well before reassuring him that she’s fine.

*I think Sera and John’s love languages are both touch. Maybe Sera’s is also acts of service, but mostly touch.
