ik it’s kinda pointless,, but do you ever just sit back and wonder what it would’ve been like if Jessie stuck around? maybe Al’s mom convinced her to stay somehow, I dunno.

I think, it might have made Jessie lowkey resent Al's mama. Bc Jessie is a free spirit she knew she couldn't stay in that town any longer or she'll go insane.

She also said she didn't want Seth to be top gossip letting people say how Seth is the product of a unhappy marriage. Or he was made to fix their relationship, not even counting if Jessie was even married to his dad. You know how town's like that gossip about a family they all know is not fully okay behind closed doors.

I think if she also did stayed maybe Seth's dad wouldn't have became a drunk. But he could have still drank a bit causing arguments with him and Jessie. I really don't see her being a good stay at home mom so she'd have a job. I can see her trusting Al's family to look after Seth when both parents are at work.

Personally I think this would mess with Jessie mentally, like her spirit would get worn out not doing things SHE wants to do. Being chained to a town that still talks about her because she told everyone she was high tailing it out of there the first chance she got. Now look at her; unhappy in a marriage, can't cook right, and everyone, even Seth can tell she's unhappy. Seth's dad would ignore this to keep HIM happy.

I think it was lowkey better that Jessie left. As fucked as it is Seth would have had her on his side if his dad did anything but there would be LOTS of arguing and Seth would just end up back with Al's parents. His house isn't a home, never was and his mama is unhappy he remembers her laughter but now it sounds forced when an older lady who knew her when she was younger talks how she 'finally isn't a wild child anymore' and is now 'a respectful lady'.

Jessie knew the risk she was going to make leaving Seth behind. He'd have a stable home with his dad staying in one place and not moving around making him learn how to make new friends on a whim and getting use to not fully connecting with someone. Hc that Jessie's family moved a lot when she was younger and didn't want that for her kid. She def though she'd meet a man who would let her travel but keep her family in one place. Maybe she could have had a job that traveled, but sadly that wasn't the case for her.

yk the poll kinda reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend literally yesterday abt whether or not intentions matter to actions and/or if they do how much do they matter. Though this question is a little more complicated because the actions *did* happen, they were just rewritten. And I guess if I were talking about the real world I'd have a different answer but when this comic is completed actions she un-does will be published in the pages, preserving them in some way forever. The remnant of those actions still in a way exist if we know about them.

Which makes the question even more interesting I suppose!

not letting you get out of bed when you wake up because she’s just got her arms wrapped around you with an iron grip, or playing with your hair as the two of you lay in bed because she just needs to be touching some part of you all the time.

getting out of bed before her meaning that when she does wake up and roll over to say good morning to you, you’re not where you’re supposed to be. she’d probably drown and then immediately get out of bed, tiredly walking around your place until she finds you just doing your own thing not even knowing that she was looking for you.

greeting her with a kiss and a smile only for her to respond with a tired frown “you weren’t in bed when i woke up”

and then she’s just stuck to your side the whole morning. when the two of you get around to making coffee and breakfast she’s standing right next to you, leaving no room between you as she stirs her coffee. does the same thing when you sit down for breakfast. if you’re sitting at the dining room table then her legs are stretched out and her ankles are touching your own, just for the sake of it. if the two of you have decided to sit on the couch and eat then her legs are flush against yours the whole time; she’ll move if you move just so she doesn’t have to be separated from you.

if it’s her off day then she’s cuddling you until you either have to go to work or physically detach yourself from her

but if she’s gotta go to training or smth then she’s getting ready whilst also using any excuse to touch you/be near you. hand on your lower back as she passes you in the kitchen, taking longer to get dressed just so she can talk to you more while you get ready, brushing her teeth for what seems like an eternity just so she can watch you do your hair and makeup for the day.

if she’s woken up in a bad mood or just not had a good sleep the night before then she’s probably quiet in the mornings, and less touchy but still as clingy. wanting to be near you because your presence just makes her feel better, making you a coffee so you know that she’s not upset with you and that it’s just one of those mornings.

Jessie has mousy brown hair that's cut in a wolfcut and reaches just past her shoulders, never keeps it tied up much to her parents' dismay. Her skin is tan, on the bronze side, and her eyes are a grayish shade of blue. She's pretty buff too, from doing the most at the store. For height, she's about 5'10, way taller than her folks, but it might just be the confidence. Always wears denim, no matter what time, season, or place. Excessive amounts of ear piercings.

Archer is almost a carbon copy of Judge (and their mom). Dark hair, although Archie let's it grow out to just past his ears and it gets wavier the further down it goes, usually in a small messy ponytail. His eyes are green and his skin is a lighter shade of the tawny beige since he doesn't spend as much time out in the sun. He's about 5'7, and pretty average in build, if a bit on the leaner side. Always wearing some form of hoodie, no matter the temperature. Can't for the life of him grow facial hair so always clean shaven.
