Taxi for #mcflyjuly
I haven’t watched Taxi in a while, but it would certainly be interesting to watch Marty McFly interact with Jim Ignatowski (Christopher Lloyd).

Everyone else call Jim Ignatowski as 'Jim'. Was Louie de Palma the only person that ever calls him with the nickname 'Iggy' on a daily basis?
I find that endearing. ❤️

Did the pot turn you into Jim from "Taxi", Boston Dumb Fuck?
For those of you who are too young, "Taxi" was an Emmy award winning sitcom that ran from 1978 to 1983, about a rag-tag group of New York cab drivers.
One character was Rev. Jim Ignatowski, played by Christopher Lloyd, who started out life very serious and uptight, studied hard and went to Harvard. However, one night he was convinced to partake of some "funny brownies" by his roommate's girlfriend and was instantly transformed into a spaced out man of the 60s counterculture, writing the remaining papers that semester in finger paints, saying a typewriter was too impersonal. After dropping out, he became ordained as a minister with the Church of the Peaceful and wandered around until he found the crew of cabbies, displaying an endless stream of eccentricities most of which could be traced to his drug use.
Did someone's girlfriend (or maybe someone from your corrupt and incompetent team) give you some "funny brownies" that broke your brain, leading you to make a series of the worst decisions possible? Is that what made you so weak that you completely turned your back on everything you said you valued? Has it made you blind to the fact that you are a complete joke among your peers, the general public and even your current and former fans, a group growing larger by the day? Is your short term memory so shot you can't remember you are "married" to an arrogant, childish, lazy, racist, antisemetic, fatshaming, Lolita clout chaser, making you a liar, hypocrite and appear like a creepy uncle?
It was funny on TV, but in real life it is profoundly sad and quite frankly, incredibly scary. I just hope there is someone decent still in your life that you haven't alienated who can help pull you out of this interminable torpor.
PS- This is one of my favorite bits of all time!

FUCK! I just got phone service back after like a month or so of basically being off the grid, so I didn't see these! Plus, I've been SUPER busy with work. BUT, I'm glad people are interested!!
Tumblr media
So:
To start off, I wanna frame this by saying that although these rarepairs I've come up with didn't start out as mammett AU's/alternative timelines, they could definitely be interpreted aa such (+, that'll honestly be the best way for me to list them as when fics are eventually posted, bc let's be honest if I didn't tag them as being mammett or mammett related, nobody would ever see them or start shipping them themselves!); I just really love the general dynamic that Chris and Michael have and think that a surprising amount of their characters, that otherwise have no relation to one another, have great potential due to their coincidental chemistry.
The oldest rarepair I have- one of the first I ever came up with, was Jim Ignatowski x Alex P. Keaton.
I named it:
Alex P. Keaton x Jim Ignatowski / Keatowski | Family Ties and TAXI
Tumblr media
- Since Steven and Elyse are depicted to be far-left, and had once embraced the life of being hippies, who traveled around the states attending both festivals and rallies during the 60's/70's, I thought it'd be really sweet if they knew Jim when he was still ordained as a minister of the Church of the Peaceful.
- I like to think that Jim met the Keatons the same way he ended up becoming addicted to drugs: through his college roommate Gordon Fog, who we're saying is, for the purposes of this AU, Elyse's brother Ned.
(Obviously, it'd be a lot easier to say that these two characters are the same if they were both either named Ned, or Gordon, but just the fact that they're both played by Tom Hanks, struggle with self control and addiction, and act as a great link between TAXI and Family Ties in general is just too perfect an opportunity to pass up.)
- I like to think that Jim had once been intended to be Alex's godfather, but after a heavily pregnant Elyse lost him in a crowd at a music festival they were attending, she and Steven couldn't find him and eventually had to move on from that state to the next, and then to Africa where Alex would eventually be born in 1965.
- In the summer, sometime after 1983 (I'm thinking when Alex is a little older, in college but not moved out yet), they'd reunite when, by chance, during a business trip to New York for her job as an architect, Elyse flags down a Taxi to ride in that's being driven by Jim!
She almost immediately recognizes him, but, due to how fried his brain is from years of drug abuse, it takes Jim a little bit longer before he realizes who Elyse is. She somehow manages to convince him to travel back to Ohio with her when she finds out that he lives in an abandoned apartment building and barely just scrapes by.
- Steven is naturally shocked to see him, but overjoyed nonetheless, and the Keaton's offer him a place to stay while they attempt to, essentially, rehabilitate him- much to the kids initial chagrin.
- Alex is almost immediately taken with the man, but of course, the uptight, republican conservative side of him cringes at the thought of being infatuated with another man.
I think.. Alex would have a lot of internalized homophobia.
This being because, you see, since Alex's character as a whole is intended to act as the stand-in for the youth of the early 1980's, who rejected the liberal agenda their baby boomer parents peddled, and instead embraced Regan's conservative idealism, he'd have a lot of pent up, emotional baggage surrounding some of the more.. "liberal" and "non-conforming" feelings he has- mostly.. due to the fact that, secretly, he isn't as far-right leaning as he claims to be.
He didn't start out as being conservative, instead, it was something he became while intent on fitting in with his peers; which, I think is basically canon, and evidenced throughout the show.
Also, not to mention the fact that he's shown to fall for people with opposing political views a majority of the time, so it's not entirely impossible to believe he'd have a crush on the guy.
I also almost always headcanon MJF's characters as being FTM transgender, which some might think couldn't apply as well to Alex because he's so.. republican, but, I do know people in real life who are trans and conservative, and I also know people who were/are trans while once being conservative, because they felt the toxic masculinity that often accompanies far-right leaning views empowered them.
For a queer teen in the early 1980's, when being a Reagan fanatic was seen as being cool, it'd make sense that at least a few of them would build their ideal identity around being a cis-passing, conservative man who makes a lot of money. I mean, there's gotta be at least one.
Basically, enountering Jim would completely turn Alex's world on it's head and tear apart the carefully constructed character he began piecing together in his early high school years with the intention of getting popular and becoming as successful as he possibly could.
- Jim stays in Alex's room with him and hijinks ensue. (like Alex getting flustered over sharing space with his newfound crush.)
- The fic I've had in the works for years now basivally takes place around the time of Alex's 19th birthday; he's trying to loosen up some and as a present Jim takes him to a music festival that's a few cities away.
A curious Alex gets a little carried away and tries out some things he ends up regretting (i.e., acid) and Jim helps him out during his trip and looks after him and Alex swoooons.
After he sobers up some they share a tender kiss and their relationship is essentially sealed 🥺💕
Then, once they return home, Alex decides to travel back to New York with Jim and go to college there, then get a job as a businessman and can now afford a better home and necessities for the both of them.
Jim chooses to stay as a cabbie at the Sunshine Cab Company because he enjoys the work, even if now he could get a different job. Of course, this means that Alex would have interactions with the rest of the cast of TAXI characters and, once again, hijinks ensue.
I think the cutest thing would be the confusion they show over how Jim always manages to bag the clever, smart ones.
----
next, is:
Scott Howard x Walter Montgomery |Teen Wolf and The Haunting Hour
Tumblr media
First off, let me just say that although there is definitely something clever there in regards to a ship name (given the titles of the character's individual debuts are Teen Wolf and Grampires), unfortunately the best I've been able to come up with so far is GrampWolf, whichhh... idk, it's okay, but I don't think it's as good as it could be.
- In the second installment of the R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour episode, Grampires, which stars Chris playing an elderly vampire named Walter Montgomery who lives in a retirement community made up of the undead, he mentions that there's a werewolf family that frequent their bingo hall on weekends.
Of course, who else would there be to think of besides Scott and his dad??
- The episode doesn't originally take place in the 80's, nor do I think it takes place in the same setting/city/state, but hey it's an AU so fuck it, yes it does.
- Scott's dad and Walter are old time friends; even before Walter was turned into a vampire, they hung out and spent time together, so he and Scott visit Walter and the retirement community on the regular.
- Scott's a little sweetie, so I think when his dad is busy with the shop, he still visits Walter. This takes place after the events of Teen Wolf, so Scott is mainly interested in laying low after his High-School-Basketball-Werewolf stunt.
It's nice to be able to spend his free time after school and on the weekends with Walter. They get on very well, and Scott brings over things like board games, movies on VHS for them to watch, raw steaks since Walter prefers to eat animal meat/blood over humans-
And then of course, one thing just sorta leads to another and BOOM, they're in love.
It's cute and gay and like, Scott offering to let Walter suck his blood?? Yes??
- They'd have to sneak around some because the other snooty, uptight vampires don't exactly like other creature's company, but Scott visits just before the sun sets so they can mostly get away with it.
The other vamps could probably smell the werewolf on Walter tho so idk, idk 😳
(also, like. vampire pups. so.... yeah.)
----
Jason Stone x Martin The Martian / Marstone | Mars Attacks! and My Favorite Martian
Tumblr media
- Michael plays Jason Stone, a stressed out and short fused news reporter who takes his job very seriously in Tim Burton's 1996 film Mars Attacks!
(SPOILERS) He, unfortunately, ends up getting killed during the first several minutes of the movie- but thankfully for us, in this AU, the martians who visit earth instead of the ones you see in the original MA! are the species we see portrayed in 1999's My Favorite Martian.
Chris plays Martin, a disguised martian scientist who ends up stranded on earth due to his ship malfunctioning. He ends up befriending a floundering reporter named Tim, who helps him get back home.
(Now, for context, this is an AU where the events of MFM never happened/happen.
Plotwise, the idea of Martin having already experienced life on earth like he does in the film, and being the catalyst that causes Mars to reach out to us would make a lot of sense, sure...
But, chronologically, it just works out a lot better if he never meets Tim. Plus, I just really like the thought of Martin sharing those first experiences on earth with Jason, so we're go ahead and go with that.)
- Unlike the MA! martians, the MFM martians are genuinely peaceful and wish to make contact with earth, a bountiful water source, so that they can hopefully prolong their species' life and improve their living expenentially. They still use nerplex gum to disguise their true forms, in order not to scare the humans.
- This goes well. The presdient agrees to house some of Mars' finest beaurocrats, leaders and scientists on earth while they work out a more professional, written statement on the matter. In the meantime, their people are encouraged to explore our planet and learn about us, with the help of chaperones.
- Jason, who is eager to impress his bosses, and is personally curious about the aliens, volunteers himself to be a companion. This not only requires that he be willing to causally interact with the martian he's paired with, and be able to answer their questions and fulfill their requests, this also means he'll be providing a home and provisions to that individual.
- The martian he's paired up with, of course, is Martin- and needless to say, Jason is shockingly smitten with him.
Since his partner is pretty much completely checked out of their relationship, I imagine she wouldn't be around much. In fact, I bet Nathalie would have basically all but moved out of their house, since she seems to be completely infatuated with Dr. Kessler; therefore, it wouldn't exactly be hard for Jason to make room for Martin in his home. Actually, I imagine it'd be greatly wanted.
Jason's sorta uptight on screen, but from what we see, I think he'd be a pretty loving and lonely individual, all things considered. It's honestly a shame we don't get to see more of him in the film 🥺💔
- Jason and Martin get along well, and it's extra sweet because for the first time in years, he's really, genuinely happy to be in the company of another. Even if he's an alien.
- Martin finds Jason to be kind, warm, funny, and intellectually stimulating. He appreciates the time Jason takes to inform him about human life, and the genuineness of his character.
- When Jason discovers Martin's love for water and sweets, he buys him little gifts like candy and encourages Martin to use his pool and hot tub, without nerplex gum, and only subconciously realizes he's essentially courting him.
- Jason is.. surprised that he finds Martin to be greatly attractive, even when not disguised as a human.
- How they'd end up in a relationship? Well, at this point, I've really no clue yet.
But, I like the idea of it being when Martin is in his true form (I know, I know 😔🤙 the curse of being a monster fucker. But hey, it's cute, so sue me.)
Maybe when they're having a deep discussion about either Martin or Jason's personal life. I think if Jason were to open up to Martin; over drinks and ice cream, or something- about how much it hurt to discover that Nathalie was cheating on him, and how he's had to sacrifice so much of his personal time and joys just so he could acclimate to the pressures of his job, it would lead to some hurt/comfort and then some lovey-doveyness, like hugs and kisses and then.. maybe more 👀 who knows... 😏
- Once the treaty between Earth and Mars is written, and the agreement that Mars can use us as a resource for things like water and housing, the martians are expected to return to their home planet, but Martin stays 😭💕

Frank Bannister x Professor Plum / Plannister | The Frighteners and CLUE
Tumblr media
Okay so I know this sounds like a weird one but hear me out bc I'm actually really proud of this AU.
- So, since Frank is a psychic medium (and for anyone who doesn't know what that means, he's a character who, basically, communicates with ghosts), I thought it'd be a really great opportunity for me to pair him with one of Chris' many horror movie characters.
(BTW, when I say many, I do mean MANY. Chris will pretty much take part in any film he's asked to participate in, and it's just bafflingly great.)
So with this plethora of spooky, quirky roles, I had a good list to pick from..
And yet, I ended up with Plum. Why, you ask?
Well. Because it was just sorta perfect when I thought about for a few minutes.
Now don't worry, Plum isn't the only character I've paired Frank with. He's one of my go-to's for the creepy couples (because unfortunately, he and Scott from Teen Wolf are about the only horror-centric characters MJF has ever played 😔 so they're p much all I have to give to Chris' scary roles which breaks my heart a little BUT).
The other is Horace Galloway, from Dead Before Dawn 3D.
(here he is, btw)
Tumblr media
That movie sucks but Horace is just too sweet of a character to pass up on. I mean, the kooky occultist and the soft psychic?? Yes. Just, yes. We love them.
But, I really needed a character to place with Plum because he is ALSO just too good to ignore. The problem was, though, that MJF doesn't really have any characters that would match with him.. at least, not on the surface. And then, like I said, I took some time to think up some ideas and boom: Frank and Plum.
So here's my thought process:
- The characters from CLUE are all dead. They haunt the mansion they were brutally murdered in during 1954.
None of them know this. At least, not conciously.
None of them know why, or how, or even that they're dead. They are simply stuck in an amneasic limbo of their own making; trapped, having to recreate the events of that night, each night, from the very beginning with no memory of what happened- all in the hopes of discovering who the real killer was, solving the mystery of their murders and, therefore, completing their unfinished business.
This isn't exactly a theory, but, at least for this AU, it is my reasoning as to why the film has multiple endings- they're all just one of the many ways the dinner party massacre could've gone down.
- Frank hears about this haunting. It's become quite the popular ghost story amongst the locals of New England, who sometimes sneak into the manor at night in the hopes of getting a scare.
- He's on the road, traveling from state to state after the events of The Frighteners; expanding his business of communicating with and exorcising ghosts for pay outside of his home town. Only this time, his want to help the dead is genuine.
- This journey started with Lucy by his side; they were a pair of mediums looking to alleviate the pain of the spirits they find, but she quickly became homesick and decided to travel back without him.
- This leaves Frank to his own devices, and when he hears about the abandoned, ownerless mansion, he decides to take a look.
- It all turns out to be true: each night, at the exact time the guests had originally arrived and begun their party (we'll say at around 10:00 PM) the mansion comes alive, and the interior of the home (which acts as a sort of supernatural time capsule), plus it's people, are basically turned back into living beings, who Frank can talk to, touch, and, above all, help.
- This is something I think would apply mostly to Frank; as we can see in The Frighteners, he can experience memories, events, and people as if they were living, and happening in real time, depending on how strong of an energy they emit. The individuals who snuck into the manor to experience the haunting would get just that: the haunting of a shitty, run down old manor, instead of basically being transported back in time to that day.
- His presence is able to ground the spirits, and Frank sets about helping them with their unfinished business so they can finally cross over and find peace. However, this turns out to be a much bigger task than one would've originally thought, because it turns out that nobody at the party is responsible for the murders- explaining their prolonged purgatory.
- This means that if Frank wants to help these people out, he'a going to have to settle in and pretty much work with them individually, as people.
- He's semi well-off now, thanks to the support of satisfied customers, like-minded believers, fans and supposed fellow psychics who've given him a pretty penny thanks to a job well done- on top of the selling of his and his deceased wife's dream home. Frank has enough money to afford the mansion, and then some, so he purchases the property and the land surrounding it and gets to work on making it livable during the day.
Y'know, when the illusion stops and he's able to recognize the decay he's standing in.
- Now that the ghosts are no longer in limbo, Frank can begin to help them uncover their past. and memories- and msot importantly, their real names.
He reads up on them as individuals, and learns more about the crime itself, as much as he can, but there isn't a whole lot to go off of. The first that he discovers more about is Mrs. Peacock, who's had the most news coverage thanks to her husband's noteriety.
- Plum is one of the harder ones to try and gain the trust of; he's a hard skeptic, and makes snippy, underhanded comments about Frank's business and supposed abilities. Deep down, though, he's intrigued by the younger man and eventually caves, once he sees the progress the others are managing to make with Frank's help.
- Plum is a sorta "I'm mean to you bc your attractiveness flusters me" guy and it shows. The internalized homophobia is strong with this one; even though it's completely obvious that, based on his taste is partners, he likes the tomboyish and spunky ones.
- Speaking of the singing telegram girl, Plum is flustered by Frank's similarly tiny build and general unabashed candor. I think this would be until one night he just can't take it anymore and tries to make a move on the guy.
- Frank isn't against sleeping with a ghost, but.. the flip from Plum basically hating him (which is what he thinks, based on the man's generally sour attitude) to wanting to cop a feel is a lot to process and Franks tells him to stop and try again after they're gotten to know each other a little better ("Buy me some dinner first, why don't ya?").
- This actually works out perfectly because in Plum's attempt to court Frank, he unknowingly ends up playing right into his hands by opening up about the past he can remember and allowing Frank to get to know him better and therefore help him.
- Of course Frank ends up catching feelings in the process and when they finally discover Plum's real name, he finds that he really doesn't want to let him go. Or any of the ghosts for that matter; it's been a handful of months, and these guys have become his friends.
- After all the ghosts have re-discovered themselves, the only thing left to do is find out how they were murdered. They all reluctantly participate in solving the mystery- but by the time they do come to a conclusion, the ghosts simply chose to stay, and Frank does, too.
- He finishes re-building the mansion and decides to make it his permanent home, and all of the original, undead residents become his permanent roommates. The facade that their limbo had created is gone, and it's all thanks to Frank giving them and their long-time home new life.
- Frank and Plum end up together, of course, and Plum has signifigantly softened towards the psychic. The guy's shockingly romantic, when he actually pursues a relationship, instead of just a hook-up.
----
Dennis Baxter x Fester Addams | Poison Ivy and The Addams Family Values
Tumblr media
We love a blank slate character because it means that we basically get to decide whatever we want, so:
- It's 1994, and Dennis is, now, a 26 year old ex-camp counselor from Camp Chippewa.
During his youth, in 1985, the 17-year old Dennis worked as a counselor at Camp Pinewood. He loved working with the kids who attended each summer, and although the relationship he had pursued with fellow camp worker Rhonda fell through almost as soon as it had began, he stuck around and had intended to work their for the rest of his life.
Unfortunately, however, when the camp was shut down in 1990, Dennis lost any steady income he once had and was forced to move away from his apartment in Clifton, Maine and into his aunt's home in West Field, New Jersey. His aunt is Becky Baxter- or, as she now goes by after marrying Gary, Becky Martin Granger.
- Dennis is working at his aunt and uncle's camp during the events of The Addams Family Values. Much like how he was at Pinewood, he's the only kind, and laid back counselor Camp Chippewa has, and he often prefers to spend time with the kids who have been marked as outcasts amongst the rest of the campers. This is how he comes to meet Wednesday, Pugsley and Joel.
- During the raid/rebellion against Camp Chippewa, Dennis is the only staff member of the camp who is spared, due to his compassion for the kids who are fighting against the Granger's. After the fact, this causes Gary and Becky (Gary moreso than she, due to a long standing dislike he has for Dennis) to become upset with him and kick him out of their home.
- Several months later, during 1994, after realizing that her parents have become frazzled with trying to balance life with a toddler, and looking after the depressed Fester, Wednesday decides to call Dennis on his cellular phone and asks him if he needs a job (This is because Dennis had given her his number when they had been at camp together and told her to call whenever she needed somebody to talk to).
- Dennis happily accepts the role of becoming the Addam's new live-in nanny, having already met the kids and loving them, and also being relieved that he'll be provided a room, amenities and a good pay.
- Dennis' dead name is Denise, and when acting as a counselor at Camp Chippewa, his bigoted aunt and uncle try their best to forcibly feminize him.
He scratches the 'e' off the end of his name on his name tag, and so when he moves in with the Addams' after claiming his new job as their live-in nanny, Dennis has to correct Wednesday when she tells her parents that his name is spelled with only one 'n'. (the situation being that they are writing out a contract for him to sign.)
- When he expresses worry about having to put his legal name down on their contract, Morticia and Gomez immediately reassure him that he will have to do no such thing, and it makes Dennis feel super good and it's really sweet.
- Basically, all of the Addams' are extroadinarily kind to Dennis, but is sad that he has yet to meet the kids' uncle, who they speak very highly of.
Fester is depressed. He misses Debbie, and his romance with Dementia had gone nowhere. When Dennis first moves in, and Fester hears that they have, once again, hired a new nanny, he refuses to meet him. Fester doesn't want any details from Gomez or Morticia, and automatically assumes that the person they hired is a woman, and knows it'll hurt too much to meet 'her' as it'll bring up memories of his ex wife.
When they do finally meet, by accidentally and literally running into each other when Dennis is attempting to catch up with the kids, Fester is taken off guard, and is, of course, smitten.
He pretends not to be infatuated with the younger man, and runs off without so much of a hello.
- Wednesday explains to Dennis that Fester still misses Debbie, and who she is, and why the thought of becoming friendly with the nanny is scary to Fester right now. Dennis feels a great deal of empathy for him and seeks the older man out so that they can get to know each other better, despite Fester's hesitation.
- Dennis being unabashedly peppy, but also incredibly accepting of the Addams' darkness only worsens Fester's crush on him.
Fester's sort of got a thing for "weird" people; ie meaning that the pastel, suburban aesthetic that both Dennis, and Debbie had, is kind of like his type, in the same way that people today dream of having a big tiddy goth gf- he likes the tiny, white-short wearing, WASP-ish individuals. It's like what being dark and macabe is to the Addams'.
- And, once again, Fester feelings only intesify once he and Dennis begin to have more in depth. and emotionally driven conversations.
They relate to each other through heartbreak/the disappointance of having a relationship go nowhere, and the younger man encourages Fester to be honest abput his feelings instead of swallowing them.
Overall, Dennis is kind to Fester, causing the older man to realize that he had never been treated right by Debbie. And with Dennis' help, he begins to heal from her abuse. However, thanks to her awful comments about him, he still feels there is no way that Dennis could reciprocate his feelings.
- During a party one night, a celebration the Addams' throw for Dennis- essentially, welcoming him to the family, Fester admits his feelings to Dennis and is overjoyed to find out that Dennis feels the same way about him.
- They become a couple and announce it to the Addams' clan, and it's extra cute bc Dennis is just another sunshiney addition to the Addams Family, who whole heartedly embraces their peculiarity and welcomes their differences, like Margaret.
Plus, they are compassionate and understanding towards his queerness, and it makes Dennis feel like he's finally found his true family.

Max Eriksson x Maxwell Taber / Tabersson | Casualties Of War and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Tumblr media
Okay, so I'm just gonna preface this by saying yes: I know that Casualties Of War is a film that is based on true events that actually happened during the horror that was the war on Vietnam.
I could never, nor would I ever, make light of such serious allegations, or stories- nor would I ship characters who are direct caricatures of actual IRL people, or ship actual, genuine IRL people, especially in regards to a movie that deals with such heavy topics and content matter.
However, allow me to reassure you that Max Eriksson is a completely fictional character. As well as the rest of the individuals who are portrayed in the film. They are also completely fictional.
Yes, he is based on the anonymous man who reported suffering through events like these, but he does not share the same bodily features, personality, or name. None of the characters share any resemblance to the people they have been based on.
There are a lot of popular characters who are based on IRL people, who are privy to things that are based on IRL events.
But if they are not biographical copies, they are fictional. And because of that, I am comfortable making my own stories, art, and headcanons surrounding this character, and the rest of the characters who are in the film.
(ie, you can't get mad at someone for loving a character who shares a lot of similarities to Ted Bundy, because so long as that character isn't actually a portrayal of Ted Bundy, that person isn't making light of the awful things that Ted Bundy did, nor are they romanticizing him.
If every character that shows similarities to Ted Bundy, or to his crimes, wasn't allowed to be loved or to exist then, like, all of the horror movie characters you love would be gone.)
- Both Casualties Of War and OFOTCN take place during the 1960's.
One Flew Over taking place in 63', and Casualties Of War taking place in 69', after Eriksson's honorable discharge from the army.
A majority of the film takes place during a PTSD episode, when Eriksson, on a greyhound bus on his way back to San Francisco, begins to have a series of stress-induced nightmares/flashbacks after seeing a woman who strongly resembles Oahn.
This is a great look into the state of mind he's in after the war, and I think that as soon as he got settled back in at home, he'd seek out a therapist- who would then inform him, after a year or so of treatment, that the best course of action for Eriksson would be to seek out a more stable environment, which provies around-the-clock help, at the Ohio State Mental Health Facility in Salem, Ohio.
- Here, he meets Taber, and the rest of the OFOTCN cast, and befriends him.
I'm actually not going to go into much of the details here, because this is a really heavy one, and although I've put a lot of effort into this AU- I don't want this post to get flagged after I've put so much effort into it lol.
However, because there's some more NSFW-ish headcanons for all of these ships that I'd love to get into, I'm gonna be posting a longer version of this on AO3 where I'll talk about all of that, and more.
This post is way too long for tumblr already, and I'd feel a lot better about talking about the rest of my Christopher Lloyd x Michael J Fox character ships there, so.
I'll post a link in the comments of this and again on my blog when I do that, so keep an eye out.
Let me know what you guys think of all of this. I'd love your feedback. Here's hoping I've conviced some people to start shipping these guys because I'm sick of fawning over them alone 🥺😭
And let me know if you want to hear more!
- XOXO, Andrew 🥳

There have been a huge number of famous guest stars on Star Trek over the years, so we're going to take this season by season and then have a face-off between the most voted in each series. Basically a bracket, minus the planning :). Each poll will have the same criteria: 1) they must be famous before being on Star Trek, 2) they cannot be a titled main character, and 3) when I can't fit everyone in I'm using my best judgment.
Below the fold I'm including photos of their Star Trek roles and a couple of things that made them famous before appearing on Star Trek... which limited my options to 10 names per poll (you can only have 10 photos per post).
Here's one article about some TOS TV guest stars if you want to read more about these & other cameos!
Frank Gorshin as Bele (s3ep15 Let That Be Your Last Battlefield) Previously the Riddler on the 60's Batman & a standup comic who opened on the Sullivan show for the first US Beatles appearance.

He moved home to care for his dying mother, and became a famous Mexican Movie star in the 40's, starring in over a dozen movies. In the late 40's he returned to the US, and US Hollywood. In 1949 he was the first Hispanic Person to appear on the cover of Life Magazine. He continued to star in many movies, TV shows, and Broadway productions leading up to his first TOS appearance.

Comedy Classic
ABC TV had a hit show in the United States during the late 1970s, "Taxi." The following clip shows cab driver Jim Ignatowski taking a written examination for his license. Jim was, to put it mildly, overly chemically enhanced to the point of being on another planet.
