Showcase: 13Leagues of Stories

This is a biased showcase as I know the author and am part of the beta team of her stories.

Tierra is amazing to talk to, a lot of fun to discuss her stories with, and full of ideas. If you like some or a lot of angst in your stories, she can deliver.

  Tierra Wright, also known as @13leaguestories, is an author creating various interactive fiction stories.

So far, she has published one story via the Hosted Games label of the Choice of Games LLC, and self-published another story on the website itch.io. Multiple other stories are in the works.

  The main character in each of her stories is customizable: First name, gender (male, female, non-binary), appearance, personality, skills.

Characteristic for her stories is an emphasis on character development and interaction. Each game features a strong cast of companions to the main character, all with their own arc and distinct personality. One of the nicest aspects are the romances that are possible with almost every main character. Whether the romances are genderlocked or not depends on the game.

  Her first published interactive story was “Dragon Racer” via Hosted Games. The first game of a planned trilogy, the game has you fulfill your dream of becoming a dragon racer. Growing up with a bonded dragon at your side and a racing stadium just one town away, you have always dreamed of joining them on the tracks. Now you finally get the chance to make this dream come true.

Aside of the main character, you also get to customize your dragon companion. By choosing which colour the dragon has, his personality changes. Where the red dragon is feisty, the blue dragon is more of a scaled puppy.

Dragon Racer features four main romances (2 straight, 2 bi) as well as one male character (gay) who a male main character can flirt with to then start a romance with in the planned sequel. It is planned that three more romance options are introduced in the sequel.

  Her other published story so far is “Superstition”, a free-to-play game published on itch.io. Planned as a series of five seasons, the first season (game) is completely released. The second season is releasing on a bi-weekly schedule, though it is currently on a mid-season break.

The story has a supernatural modern US setting. As the existence of supernatural creatures is not known to the human population, the main character is not quite properly prepared when their world gets overturned and they have to leave their old life behind to escape supernatural pursuers. Whenever you think something goes right for a time, things take a turn for the worse.

Compared to Dragon Racer, Superstition is darker in tone and discussed topics. Warnings are in place to avoid choices that lead to possibly triggering situations.

As of season 2, all available romance options have been introduced. Three men and two women, all bi/pansexual. One of the male romance options so far was under the impression to be straight, which results in different scenes and talks with a male or non-binary main character than with a female main character in at least the first season as he questions his sexuality.

  There are two other games currently work in progress / on hiatus.

“Insight” and “For the Crown” share the same fantasy setting of the world Jiwenia, though not taking place at the same time. There is no public demo for For the Crown at the moment.

In Insight, you play as a magical apprentice, using your unique abilities to help those in need. All is well until an enemy appears whose goal seems to be to take everything from you that is dear to you, one after the other.

All of the available romance options are available no matter the main character’s gender.

  Tierra is active on her tumblr, answering nsfw and sfw asks about every Tuesday and Thursday. On Patreon, she releases extra short stories about the various characters of her stories. Among them are stories with explicit nsfw passages. For the Superstition series, she has released character studies about Bradley and Chris, as well as determined the theme of the DLC side story via polls.

February 2024 Forecast

Superstition

Episode Four has been talked about and Episode Five is being written still. You'll know when it all gets updated. I want at least two episodes down before I even put something out. I actually just want to finish it but heyyyyyyy, you're going too far now.

Riders of Abauruth Survey

This survey is so that I can get an idea of what people want to see return and what they may like to see change.

This rewrite was for two reasons.

1. To bring RoA into the Jiwenia universe and to do that things had to be changed. For example, the history. I just couldn't copy and paste and move it over, it wasn't going to work nor fit. At this moment I don't even know where it will fit in the timeline just yet. Probably a few decades after ToA but I'm not entirely sure, like I said.

2. To tell the rest of the story I did want to tell back then but didn't really get too. I already had a whole thing on why I canceled it so just go read that.

This is brainstorming stage. So once I shut it down I'll be going through it, figuring out what tons of folks want versus what they really do not and figuring out how to make it all work or if it even works with my vision.

Some quick out there facts that I know:

Allison won't be dying like in the original. Her death will be like everyone else's, based on the reader. Sorry but her name doesn't start with Ch so she won't be one of those "could be in, could be dead" characters.

Dragons will still be male. Only addition to the setup is there will be a green dragon.

Your character is not the prophesied hero they once were. Read the summary on the survey.

There are 7 LI's and some of them will be locked out depending on gender. Gender is important!

These characters are the same but their allegiances and motives have changed. Do not go into this thinking they are the exact same. This is not the same RoA.

okay so in the epilogue we see that phoenix and ruben had tayz and ziev and i have a question abt that

first, if phoenix is amab and tayz and ziev arent adopted or anything similar to that, how were they created? is mpreg a thing in jiwenia or is it something related to phaizarn biology specifically?

I think I answered something similar to this which is why it looks familiar. But males can have children, magic and a ... fuck what is the word ... surrogate. There we go. Magic and a surrogate is needed. Isn't magic nice.

Thankfully none of them will but let's go hypothetical.

Ruben: No. Just no. Especially since you'd have kids together.

Ozara: ... possibility. It would take a long time and someone she's actually very close to but it could happen. It's like 30% chance.

Nour: There are other people on Jiwenia?

Zarik: Mannnnn, you'd really have to put in front of him some perfect being for that to happen. I won't say there's no chance, it's about like Ozara's but with how he acts, it's less of a possibility because of circumstance.

Makaio: She probably has the highest chance of moving on. It will probably bug her for a while though and she'll fill like she's cheating on Phoenix in a way. In the end she'll understand Phoenix wants her to be happy and nothing will replace them but she has to get there first.

Nouritis "Nour" Gryps: The heartbroken Crown Heir griffin who was forced to watch as one by one, all that they loved was taken away.

Zarik Al-Asherath: The ambitious basilisk Warlord with big plans for the future. He toleration for things is small, especially for those that get in his way.

Makaio Sisou: The noble phoenix whose love for others often times gets in the way of the love for herself.

This story contains a great deal of dark themes and content that may be triggering to certain individuals. Areas will be flagged appropriately but there are times where both routes will still lead to such content due to being an integral part of the game. I.e. On one interest's route you are presented with two choices but both hold physical abuse content. The list below details what content can be seen in each route.

Universal Themes: Sensitive topics such as depression and suicide. In each route, an abuser is present.

Ruben's Route: Detailed physical abuse.

Nour's Route: Physical abuse and experimentation.

Ozara's Route: Emotional and mental abuse as well as gaslighting techniques.

Zarik's Route: Grooming, physical abuse, and possession.

Makaio's Route: Heavy focus on anxiety and emotional abuse.

In addition, the main character can be a victim of sexual abuse. In the story, it is possible for the reader to opt out of this theme and will be given a choice whether or not they wish to at the beginning of the story, as well as in story. Otherwise, this theme and conversations surrounding it will be featured in the story.

This story DOES NOT contain rape scenes and always stops at physical sexual harassment.

Again, this story is for mature audiences only. Please exercise caution and know your limits.

This is set in the same universe as For the Crown, Jiwenia.

There are five total romances: Isaak (male), Tsintah (female), Thorne (male), Numira (female), and Averill (gender-choice). There is no gender-lock so you are free to romance who you wish.

There is no gender option at the moment since it does not come up. If I find it does later, one will be added.

If you want to mute the music then just mute the tab it’s playing in.

On windows you can make the game full screen by pressing F11.

Wait, so is Dragon Warrior uncanceled and it's being overhauled/rewritten instead? I just wanted to make sure I didn't misunderstand.

No. Dragon Warrior is canceled. It will remain canceled, it will never come out of being canceled.

RoA is moving to Jiwenia which is my fantasy world and where every other fantasy story I've written is centered. The characters are moving, the story is not moving. The story with the characters will be different and even certain aspects of the characters will be different (i.e Nyx will be a Phaizarn (Dragon Shapeshifter))
