When, I truly felt sorry for Arnav Singh Raizada.
Arnav Singh Raizada. A mere character from an indian T.V series which only ran for about 1 year and 9 months. I know, it's been 12 years, but I don't understand this love that I have felt for this series at all. Maybe, because, there's a connection that this series' characters create with their audience? Dunno.
Here's a moment, that lasts with me to this day. When I could see a naked Battle between Arnav Singh Raizada and ASR. Beautifully depicted, when he was suddenly made a host to Preeto's wedding.
HE WAS GUILTY
Tumblr media
He was reminded of the day he married his wife. A day where all of her relationships were put on a test, when he became a Rakshas who ordered her to be his captive. The day about which her girl friends asked, and Khushi lied. She lied that she looked beautiful that day, she lied that her ornaments were pretty, she lied about her favourite coloured lehenga, she lied that her wedding was her most beautiful day.
Arnav didn't want to be reminded of his mercilessness. He didn't want to be the prosecutor that Khushi believes he is.
HE WAS REMINDED OF
Tumblr media
Rummaging through his stuff, looking for his file in a scattered room. Wondering, if his crazy wife has kept it hidden somewhere. He looked at a drawer, a glittery sheet peeking out. "Pagal hai..." A slight smirk on his face, disappears when he sees a reality that he keeps at the back of his mind but, tends to forget. A slip on it says, to Khushi ji, with love from, Shyam.
Reminding him, that she doesn't feel for him, reminding him that she is a betrayal. A vile woman that he fell for. And still is a moth to her flame.
Khushi came inside the room. She asked him if he was going to come outside to meet everyone. But, like always, she became the fodder to his rage. "isse pehle mai kuch kru, dafa ho jao yaha se"
HE WAS ENRAGED
Tumblr media
What was he gonna do? Belittle her? Insult her again? Or this time, he wanted to grab her tight to shout at her not caring if her family listens. Whatever it was, he was in no mood. He threw her out of her room.
It's always him that is entitled to a place to stay, it's Khushi who needs to get lost whether it's his room or even if it's her own room. That's how it works with ASR. He wasn't going to stay here. He was calling a car to go back.
Avoiding a scene in front of her mother, Khushi leaves, Arnav was packing up when he listens to the worries of the bride's mother. He was interested, interested in the pettiness of the family that Preeto was going to get married into.
Khushi was trying to appease the Classist Mama and Mami of the groom. Until Arnav agressively says "Khushi chup ho jao". Maybe, he didn't want Khushi to appease them? But, it gets countered when Arnav next says "Jao dusri ice cream leke ao" when groom's mama ji says "aap apni biwi ko samjhaye ki bado se kaise baat krte hai" Arnav replies "Koshish karunga" I don't know what to say about this. I think he didn't even try to protect his wife here, he had bigger plans after this. What do you guys think he was trying to do by telling Khushi to shutup?
Khushi was arguing with Arnav for his uncalled rude behaviour and compares him to their ungrateful guests.
HE WAS A HERO
Tumblr media
Arnav tells the groom to man up. Fires him, tells him to stand up for his wife to be, in his ASR way of talking. The groom realised this and stands up for Preeto and her family. Arnav saved the day.
Everyone danced, including his wife. His now, ex employee invites him to dace, Arnav complies.
HE FOUND HIS WAY TO HIS WIFE
Tumblr media
What will a man do if he found himself in a sea of strangers dancing? He would find his way to his wife. He watched Khushi dancing and found his refuge. Obviously, a husband will follow his wife if he was to avoid any awkwardness. Dancing by his wife could save him from bearing his awkwardness alone. His wife was his obvious partner. Someone gave him a slight push and he collided with his wife. A Rabba ve happens, eye lock happens but, this time. Khushi and Arnav both were complaining to each other. Conflict obvious in their eyes.
Khushi saw the groom talking to Arnav about how he made him realise that he should man up. Arnav talked sense to him, and Khushi was left wondering, Arnav doesn't practice what he preaches. Within a moment he fills her with love, and the next, hates her.
HE WAS GUILTY AGAIN
Tumblr media
A mother is always worrying about her kids. Garima, wanted assurance from Khushi, that she is happy with her husband. Khushi makes up a lie. Lie about her happily ever after. Arnav, is wise, he takes care of her loved ones, he gets hurt when she is in pain, he never lets her do anything by herself, she gets whatever she wants without even asking, he was the best husband.
HE WAS SORRY
Tumblr media
The events have been a roller coaster ride for Arnav. He was feeling sorry for Khushi because, he couldn't give her the best wedding, he was mad at his wife for betraying him, then he tried to save her family's face, then he felt sorry for her again because, he couldn't be the best husband.
Now, in the pale moonlight he was left with his turmoil. He was left with conflicting emotions. He was not being nice to her. Didn't he always feel that way? Being rude to her and regretting it after? Wasn't his wife his worst enemy? Then why was he feeling so much for today?
IN THIS LOVE, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
Tumblr media
When he was Ranjha, he admitted, he admitted that, regardless of everything that she did, he couldn't help but love her.
He didn't want to love her, but, watching her cocoon inside her blanket because of cold, he turned off the AC. He layed besides her, looked at her innocent face lit by the moonlight. She was sleeping peacefully now. He put his hand in her. Held it lovingly as if saying "I am sorry Khushi". And slept watching her.
. . . . . . .
What's amazing about this episode is that, even after watching her worst possible avatar. He was capable of holding her on to himself. He was capable of loving someone, even if they have hurt him. He could not forgive her but, he could sure still want her. He was not someone, who could let go of his strong emotions so easily. His love was bigger than anything, any mistakes, any sins and any relationship. Just like he said during second marriage.
Mere pyar ko kisi suboot ki zaroorat nhi hai.
Or wakai mai nhi hai, haina?

IPKKND LIVE BLOG - Season 1 [Epi - 2]
Cooooommmmmmmeeee ooooooonnnnnnnn, letz start the second epiiiiiiiiii.
So we are starting right from where we had left them off. ANDDDDD BAAAAMMMM! Khushi jolts out of her (or rather their?) trance and realizes where her hand is, snatches it back. Pulling out Arnav from his trance as well.
I want you to focus on their expressions in the scene. Look closely, when she snatches her hand away from his collar. His gaze, instantly falls down to her hand and there's a moment where he steels himself and maybe even thinks that 'How dare she!'.
It's as if Arnav realizes that he needs to be angry and THEN all hell breaks lose, as he throws her out of his hands. He orders the head of his PR team to control the photos and videos of this 'scandal'. Khushi is locked in a room for interrogation.
Back in Gomti Sadan, the neighborhood aunties are gossiping about Khushi's absence. Buaji asks about the papers' whereabouts to Payal. But, Payal, already very nervous and tongue-tied, reduces to tears. I am surprised why did Buaji not see the change in her demeanor and most importantly her spilled tears. But, that's also not much surprising coz Buaji can hardly ever read Payal or Khushi's distress over anything that they seem to be facing alone, in the entire show. This scene also indicates that Payal has never been the rule-breaker kid, she's always been kind of a 'yes-man' to her parents.
Ohh! Did you notice how Khushi's voice sounds so off? Do you know why? Turns out Sanaya was sick with cold while shooting this sequence. She mentioned this in that interview with Mrs. Gul Khan, which was released right after IPK ended a few months ago.
Arnav instructs the team to interrogate Khushi and check whether a rival company (Re-Fashion? RI-Fashion? REE-Fashion? whatever, lol.) send her there to ruin his fashion show in exchange of some petty amount of money.
Payal's belief, of her Abhishek ji standing up to his family's demand of the dowry, breaks. She realizes that he is present there, knows everything going on but still refuses to speak up. She is heart-broken.
Was it only me or you also thought that the way Sanaya pronounced 'profession' is kind of-idk-intriguing?-sexy?-hot?-pata nahi choro (ok, leave it.)
Garima tries to associate the papers' absence to Khushi's absence. Payal has been caught like a deer caught in headlights.
Arnav comes to meet or rather to interrogate his wife 'that' girl, for 'answers'. Khushi requests him to let her go as she explains him that she landed there by mistake.
He is so adamant in throwing all the unfortunately familiar 'accusatory' questions. What was that 'Wipro-Fashion'? 'PRO-Fashion'? Whatever. See, many of you would disagree, here, but I think he is legit right in doubting her intentions, given the type of people he would have dealt with till now in this profession. Although, WE know, from Khushi's POV, that she is right, BUT that's the thing, he doesn't.
"Then let it (the marriage) break. Problems like these are nothing for girls like you. If one leaves, then trap another." ("Toh tut jaane do shaadi. Tum jaisi ladkiyon ka kya hai. Ek jayega, dusra phasaa lena.") And the BG score changes to something close to tandav beats. Maybe, just maybe he realized that he has struck a chord or crossed a line or fcked up real bad. It can be any of the three.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! The dreaded moment is here. Khushi retaliates but she does not realize the volcano in front of her, ready to burst out with hot, molten lava. She attempts to side step him but he grabs her by the arm and yanks at the dori of her blouse. Pearls scatter around, everywhere on the floor. Khushi is horror struck, devastated, horrified and all the girls watching this for the first time already knew what that meant. And hated Arnav for doing that to her for a long, long time.
See the irony, here. In the previous episode, we saw them together in that beautiful frame. No-one had any doubt of them being the alpha couple of the show. BUT. BUT. BUT.
After this scene, audience must have doubted, some might even have gone to the extent to declare Arnav as the villain. And later considered Shyam as the hero, coz of the way, he was introduced (we will come to that in that episode).
Hmm. I am thinking. Why did he let her go? Like? So....easily? After she pulled the ribbon from her hair and covered her exposed back, or rather her modesty. Arnav has frozen. At his spot. He isn't even moving a finger. (I will have to process this scene and then will let you know in a separate post.)
With this, the scene blurs and along with Khushi, we reach Gomti Sadan, where everything is eerily silent. Wait. Did we reach so early? Didn't Khushi take the whole day to reach SM? Then how come- ohh Guilty Arnav might have arranged a car for her to reach her home safely-Lol. Who am I kidding with? This is ASR, we are talking about. Let's stop with the wishful thinking.
Gomti Sadan. Gossips. Malign in their social image. A broken marriage. All of these are termed as a "Kali' (black ink) by Buaji. And who's at fault? Khushi. She talks of pulling off her braid and handing it to her. Basically, beat her ass off.
Buaji, I think, was never able to accept Khushi as her own child. She was always the only one to differentiate between the two. She was only the one who instigated Garima and Shashi against her. Although, Shashi had wholeheartedly accepted her as his daughter but Garima, often used to get manipulated into believing the worst, in Khushi.
Even now both Buaji and Garima are convinced that Khushi was, somehow, jealous of her sister's fate (that she was getting married) and so to malign it, she decided to sabotage the wedding by taking away the papers and fleeing out of everyone's sight until the wedding is called off.
Lol. Junior Engineer. And Buaji thinks, that's self-explanatory for them, having a right to ask for a dowry. Khushi explains herself. But, she is admonished by her (B-ji), for acting like a 'Dadi Amma', means trying to act above her age, by interfering in elders' matters.
Still, for the Guptas', specifically for Mrs. Garima Gupta, a broken marriage is worse than Payal getting married into a money-hungry family. Do you see it here? Getting MARRIED is of more importance than getting married into THE RIGHT FAMILY.
And as if all this admonishing and insulting is not enough, so, she kind of disowns her daughter. "Mat kaho hume Amma".
Khushi, who already had abandonment issues, guilt of being a burden to 'this' family, is now shell shocked. Someone please save this poor kid.
Buaji does it again! Hip, hip hurray guys! She again pulls up the orphan card and a non-refundable debt (of getting adopted by her brother and sister in law) card! What an awesome timing Buaji! Shut up Buaji. What? Shashi said this. Not me. I have manners, ok.
"Arre tujhse saga humara koi nahi hai." Payal's words calms Khushi to some extent. But, they are still not enough as we see that Khushi cannot sleep, and keeps tossing and turning, recalling her amma's harsh words.
She wakes up and opens their shop's door. Khushi is shown handling an LPG gas cylinder, an oil cannister and lighting a match stick, giving us the impression of her attempting to give up her life.
Precap starts. *quickly pauses it* I don't watch precaps. Spoilers. Don't like them. Bye. Such a stressful episode to watch.

P.S. : Remember the interview I was talking about? This is it. Please do give it a watch if you haven't already. It's so beautiful them sharing the off-screen things and being all nostalgic. You'll love it. :)

IPKKND/Teri Meri-12th Anniversary
PART 1 [ Read Here]
❤️Dance of Souls 💞
Tumblr media
A pure Passion, which was flowing with wings on the screen. The love and the passion is taking new shape here. The passion started the day when she fell in his arms, and his heart felt the beat the very first time.
Tumblr media
“A woman in love respects and raises her man. She is his constant source of support. She matches his heart and passions with her own. She sees the very best in him, even when he does not. She is his foundation; what he returns home to.”― Elizabeth Bourgeret
ASR was in a closed room, a bit dark, with a streak of light like a hope to see her again...and he stood in the light and in a white attire. Unlike all the time, with his button-up shirts and vests, he has his buttons open and loose shirt... She was on the poolside, immersed in his thoughts, under the stars. The ones were their guiding light tonight. Her beliefs were raising his hopes to be with her at all costs.
Physical attraction can only maintain a relationship for so long.  ASR scanned the stars for thoughts, but like how the moon and earth are in an eternal dance with each other, there must be another force holding them together, something not visible to our eyes. Likewise, two individuals must be mentally and emotionally attracted and equally understanding each other for their gravity to hold them together. Their love and their relationship had crossed another level.
Her image mirrored in his eyes, in his heart and brain. Embracing that image, he found her right before him like an angel. Tightly holding their breath, two swaying silhouettes kept walking towards each other in secret, shielded by night, soothing unquenched thirst for one another. Their throbbing hearts,
finding peace in fervour.
Tumblr media
He came from the dark to the light and then faced her while she didn't lose eye contact without moving...an acceptance of Love from his side with purity within from both sides. She will never move from her protective and lovable side for her man, just like him, as he encircled her before grabbing her by her waist to pull her closer and digging his face into the curve of her neck to dominate his love and trust. He was missing her badly. She surrendered to him with closed eyes by putting aside all her worries, burdens, and fears by clasping his hands with hers to show her trust and complete faith in him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They were both willing to submit their souls, putting aside inhibitions, misunderstandings, fears, confusions, and barriers. She turned around and showed her complete trust by looking into his intense eyes, so close to his heart, by caressing his face with her hand, and the moment he touched her face, she lowered her eyes and hand and turned to walk away and then paused. All she could see was his pain and yearning for her in his eyes.
She knew he wanted her, but he wouldn't be able to say that ...She knew he had called her many times during this abduction. She had heard his pleas; she knew what his heart wanted all along. Tonight, he answered her desperate need as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I Can’t Live Without You.” expresses the whole meaning of true love. It is a beautiful and powerful emotion words can never express, nor can the mind comprehend its connection within two souls.”― Ellen J. Barrier
Their love was like the relationship between the sun, moon, and the earth. They revolved around each other. They were yin and yang. Night and day. Feminine and masculine counterparts. And they loved each other dearly. This woman changed him completely; he loved her; he wanted her so badly he couldn't taste the fear of losing her every second. He desired to take this fire and tried to keep it inside him. He would never be letting it go.
They both followed their hearts, and the pull made them move towards each other. She permanently surrendered to his protective and possessive side. Feeling safe and at home in his embrace, he melted under his touch as he held her face with both hands. With an open heart, she submitted to his love, but the next moment, she lowered her eyes to hide her pain. Suddenly she disappeared from his hands like someone snatched her away from him...
"Kyuon Khuda tun ne mujhe aisa Khawab dikhaya jab haqiat main ussey todna tha..."
"Ek dooje se huwe juda jab ek dooje keh liye bane"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He turned briskly, lost in his search, but she ran back to him and hugged him, clinging to him without leaving any air in between. Clasping him tightly, she reassured his presence within her, and he didn't remove her either.
He leaned towards her and listened to every beat her heart made for him. Holding her hand with his, not letting her disappear again, he turned towards her, and she hugged him. She had been screaming for his touch, his love, all this time, and he had given into his own longing for her.
“I felt his pain as my own, and I wanted to touch him, feel him, reach inside his fractured heart and pull out all of the love he buried inside. I wanted to kiss every inch of his skin. I wanted to feel his brokenness against mine, like if we held each other hard enough, something within us would finally heal.”
― Jacqueline Simon Gunn
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Erupting like fiery autumn leaves between silks as skin meets skin, flames that lick everything and consume all there is.” ― Sreesha Divakaran,
He didn't let his grip on her lose, or she even let him do so as she pulled his hand to embrace her. She embraced him, encircling him with all of his strength and love with both hands. He was embracing her, hugging her, soothing her with both hands while his one hand was on her head.
His assurance,
His Love,
His support
Tumblr media
His dark eyes and wicked ways had her hooked, and without him now, she wouldn't live or he could survive. They were addicted to each other. He has worked his way into her blood, and now they are here. There was no going back.
A woman who thought she was ordinary learned she was not when she found his love across miles tonight.
When she thought he was his beginning, he discovered she was his end.
Like the night mist twining itself about the hills and hollows of the land, he enfolded her within him, his touch and warmth circled her in, pressing himself more to her, holding her from her bare waist.
She was his, now and forever, no matter what was waiting next. No matter how much others might try to drive them apart or discourage their union, no matter how much they might grow to hate them, seeing these intense feelings between them. But right now, he was stirring in her. No matter what he had done…
This man, this demon, this Shaitan… he was her prince.
His eyes screamed to tell her he always swam against the grain. The ruling mind who influenced the heart always controlled what he did, how he did it, and when. But lately, he had made his own choices that he disliked. His mind and doubts pressured him, forcing him to keep her away from him. But tonight, he wanted to confess that all he wanted was her...
I need you because I love you...
But she walks away again, sadness covering her leaving him there.
"Khushi..."
When he realised she was no longer closer, he called her name intensely.
And, she heard him miles away.. ...
"His Light was within Him" now...he didn't have to look for her any more. He had this belief. His angel resided in him now...as when he called her name, her reflection was in the pool water before she turned around over his call ... He could feel her, she could feel him, and they both could communicate from miles away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Arnav assuredly, with his full belief, called out to Khushi..." Khushi tum sun sakti ho mujhe, (he was still looking for confirmation... the logic) and...
Khushi's answer was the answer to his unheard prayers...
" Hamesha" ...( Always)
She confirmed as well
"Kya aap sun sakte hain humari Dhadkan"
Without any hesitation, he confessed.
Haan!
" Hamesha" ...( Always)

Khushi, Family, and Unconditional Love
This post happened because I started thinking about how, for Khushi, having the Raizadas as her in-laws is such a critical part of her personal happy ending and the healing-from-her-trauma journey.
Certainly, in my opinion, they represent a MUCH happier family unit for her than the Guptas. Now listen, this isn’t a Guptas-bashing post (though I can definitely whip one of those out, some other day maybe). But if we’re talking about Khushi’s trauma and her ultimate happy ending, we have to talk about how the Guptas treated Khushi, and that brings out some harsh truths!
Little Orphan Khushi
Note: I’ll exclude Shashi from this analysis for the time being because he truly accepted Khushi as a daughter, loved and took care of her to the best of his ability, and nearly giving his life to protect her.
But Buaji and Garima, are NOT the same as Shashi. It’s absolutely undeniable that underneath the surface of their love and care for Khushi is an undercurrent of neglect, contempt, and discrimination. Khushi IS family, but she ISN’T the same as Payal. Payal is truly beloved, for herself. She is considered an ideal child, full of virtues. Khushi? Khushi is loved as a duty, taken care of as the orphan burden. And this sentiment isn’t buried too deep - its a little too close to the surface, awaiting only a little anger, to burst out.
Khushi is a PROBLEM, to be managed, to be controlled, the best they can. Payal is nurtured and a little spoiled, to be protected from the worst of the what the world has to offer, whereas Khushi takes on burdens entirely to large for her age for the sake of her family, and it’s all taken for granted. She is given way too much responsibility, she is the one making sacrifices to protect THEM and it is all subtly accepted and normalized.
Why was Payal, the unmarried elder one, not linked with Shyam, if he was so eligible? Because for all his charms, he was ALSO the orphaned connection-less paying guest whose background no one knows much about. If it was Payal who went to work at the Raizadas the second time, would Buaji even CONSIDER letting her go? Would Buaji let Payal keep a secret about her stalker/sexual harasser, forcing her to hang around this same man all the time, for the sake of protecting Khushi’s future?
See, they aren’t fairy tale evil step mothers. So it’s not that they don’t care for Khushi at all. They do care! They just don’t care AS MUCH as they do for Payal. The care for Khushi isn’t instinctive and emotional the way it is for Payal, the care comes from a sense of duty towards a child under their responsibility. And Khushi knows it. She feels it ALL. Will she ever admit this to anybody? Nope! But she knows.
What Do We Do With The Problem of Khushi?
So, if they’re not evil and beyond redemption, then why are the Guptas like this? It’s not that they’re looking for reasons to hate Khushi, in fact, they observably do have a certain amount of affection and care for her. But, I believe, there’s a filter that distorts how they view her and how they love her that limits them. That is the filter of “she is an orphan we adopted who is draining our common financial resources and adding to our net worries by her very existence”.
For middle class people, the financial burden of an extra child is nothing to be sneezed at, ESPECIALLY when it’s an additional girl child. The context of conservative, middle-class, small-town India is ever present in every scene with the Guptas. Again I repeat, there are no villains here (except Shyam) nor are you supposed to hate Buaji or Garima. It’s just that, to understand these delicately imbalanced family dynamics, you have to consider the society that they live in. A girl child represents a net financial drain. And that can’t be waved away no matter how evolved you are. The BEST case scenario is a man like Shashi, kind, generous, liberal-hearted, fair-minded, and loving, who would take Khushi in and NEVER blame her for any of this. But he can, and he very much does, worry about how to give his daughters the protection and the happiness they deserve considering his limitations. He worries. And the stress of it all takes an undeniable medical toll on him. He can never resent Khushi because he knows it’s not her fault. But he is absolutely worrying extra because of the fact that it’s two daughters, not one.
By the way, this kind of bias is incredibly common (and extremely depressing). You’ll see a step child kind of attitude towards many girl children, even those who are fully blood related, in certain sections of society in India. Where will the dowry come from? Who will pay? What is the worth of a girl child when all she will do is take away a chunk of her family’s wealth with her? The indictment here is largely for the social structures that perpetuate this kind of terrible injustice, generation after generation. The best meaning individuals can be at wits end as to how they can take care of their families in such circumstances.
THIS is also the crux of why Khushi really feels that burden of unlimited gratitude towards her parents, this is why I believe she is so extra EXTRA motivated to be the breadwinner, protect her family from financial woes, to prevent her father ANY amount of extra worry especially any on her account. As a girl child, Khushi wants to prove to them they haven’t made a “bad deal” by taking her in. She wants to show them the rich dividends of doing this great favor of loving her. (Let’s all take a minute to hug Khushi) (Arnav thinks this way too!!! Exactly this, just that being a man his motivation is more aspirational and less emotionally and logistically complicated).
The other aspect of this, is that in desi cultures, girl children are also considered a greater as well as trickier moral and social responsibility. The “honor” of women is fragile and must be protected blah blah blah and other nonsense. So any bad behavior on the part of Khushi is seen as particularly ungrateful in a way Payal’s would never be. Why? Because Khushi was rescued by them from the horror of being a girl alone in the world, given a home and protection and respectability, and in turn, she owes them a lifetime of being EXTRA careful, EXTRA perfect, so as to not add to their stress of raising girl children.
So, viewing Khushi through this girl child orphan/burden filter, they can never quite appreciate her for what she is, never quite let themselves love her for her own self, completely. They see her exuberance, her mischief, and worry about it causing logistical problems for them. They see her charming yet innocent nature, and worry about her getting intro disrespectable situations which would reflect badly on them and Payal. They see her “sanka-devi ness” ie her weirdness and penchant for trouble, her headstrong and stubborn nature, and worry about how that makes her bad marriage material, on top of already being an orphan. And you know what? They’re not entirely wrong; some of these qualities Khushi has, are NOT what people look for in an ideal Indian woman in the marriage market. But as her family, the Guptas should help her make the best of these circumstances and support her in her journey, rather than making her feel less than, and problematic, just for being her natural self. But, those are their limitations! From their perspective, they definitely think they did the best they could do, and they for sure did much more than what most others would have done.
This is a bit of a head-canon, not entirely show-based, but it’s one I like: I think that it’s only when the Guptas see Khushi through other people’s eyes, specifically the Raizadas’ eyes, that they learn to fully appreciate her strengths. And it’s when she’s actually gone from the house, that they start to realize how much joy and emotional strength she lent to their household.
Khushi’s Deepest, Unspoken Desires
So how does all this shape our little orphan Khushi, naturally affectionate and giving, sensitive and self-esteemed, determined and naive and idealistic and passionate all at once? She LOVES the Guptas, she would lay her life down for them, she can’t hear a word against them or question them even in her own thoughts. She can never consciously acknowledge any flaws in her adoptive family or their upbringing of her. But nevertheless, their attitude towards her DOES influence her subconscious desires and deepest ambitions. She sublimates her unmet family needs into her marriage dreams. She is seeking resolution for the trauma of her broken family and life as a burdensome adopted child, from her idealistic and actually quite unrealistic dreams of her perfect future husband and in-laws.
The one thing that Khushi craves for, that she secretly, and desperately hopes for, is unconditional love and acceptance. She longs to be in a family unit where despite having no blood relation, she has full rights to her proper position, a claim to every material and emotional consideration, and no one can question it or take it away for any reason and she needn’t feel obliged to anybody for what she gets. It all - the love, the care, the money, the house, is unquestionably hers. In short, the type of acceptance and position you can get from being a beloved and respected wife and daughter in law.
Also, she wants a husband and in-laws who love her for what she is and just as she is with no asterisk or element of duty. She wants that unconditional love, with full freedom to be herself, to express her full range of Khushi behaviors. She’s seen how all her life, her mother and aunt have struggled to accept the extremities of her sanka-devi-ness. Considered it a problem. Even Shashi, though he accepted and encouraged her, didn’t represented a source of full comfort and support for her simply because Khushi herself never wants to worry or trouble him, she is so scared to disappoint him or bother him too much. She craves to be around people who she doesn’t have to work quite so hard to impress by suppressing her natural self and being what they want her to be; people who spontaneously enjoy her natural dorky, energetic, impulsive self; people who don’t need anything from her but just want her around, for herself. It’s her ultimate dream because Khushi is a loving, selfless soul deprived of a healthy family unit. She craves the same kind of love that she gives out.
Khushi’s Khushi: A Realistic Fulfillment of Unrealistic Dreams
Now, as I said, Khushi puts a lot of onus on her future marriage to help her achieve her deepest desires. I think that’s what marriage, the divine, lofty ideal of it that she cherishes in her heart, means to her. Of course, this 18 yr old girl’s dream of achieving all of the above through marriage is just that - a quite silly, though poignant dream. It’s not realistic. An average marriage does not encompass most of what Khushi wants from it. An average conservative desi marriage, even less so. But never fear. Devi Maiyya, and ASR, are here - to both teach Khushi a few lessons in the realm of reality, and then also to eventually give her the much more realistic, tempered, mature version of her cherished dream.
To clarify - I don’t think Khushi having these dreams is silly or stupid. Khushi is valid, all right??? She’s got every right to seek the kind of love and acceptance via romantic and “found family” structures which she never got in her adopted family. What I am saying is, her dreams are immature, the way teenagers’ dreams often are - they aren’t based in reality and aren’t reasonably achievable. That doesn’t mean you have to give up on the dream, it just means that with life experience and learnings, you learn to tailor and temper your dream to a more nuanced, realistic version, that encompasses life’s complexities. Like Khushi does!
This is one of the reasons, despite all surface evidence to the contrary, Arnav IS the perfectly imperfect man for Khushi, the balm for all her wounds, the answer to all her duas (wishes/dreams). Arnav’s unique and loving family is an important part of what he offers Khushi, just like Khushi’s easy and effortlessly loving relationship with his family is an important part of what Khushi offers him. These are the building blocks of their long-term suitability for one another as life partners.
Why The Raizadas Matter, And Not Just As Arnav’s Family
The great thing about the Raizadas is, they aren’t just “Arnav’s family who like and accept Khushi”. The Raizadas are, in a sense, like Khushi’s own found family. She has relationships and attachments with them independent of Arnav. They actually gave her what she wanted, that is, a family that loves her for all of who she is, who never viewed her as a burden, who truly want her around with no qualifications to change who she is.
They just are always so tickled by ALL of Khushi’s drama and silliness and pranks; and yet appreciate how responsible and wise she is for her age. And even when she messes up or crosses a line (mostly Arnav-related lol) they rarely take offence, even though they would actually have the right to on several occasions! They ENJOY having her around, they seek out her company, find her jokes funny, ask her for ideas, want her opinions, respect her capabilities. They appreciate all her strengths - her bravery, her intelligence, her creativity, her sense of humor, her people-savvy skills, the way she mingles with everybody, the way she can find solutions to every problem. They’re all a little bit in awe of her, I think, the same way they are in awe of Arnav. As they should be!!! Arnav and Khushi are truly THAT power couple, equally matched in their intelligence, beauty, and bravery (and also in their irritating stubborness lol) . And the Raizadas see that.
[ Also like, just, shoutout to the Raizadas for actually being a surprisingly chill, mild, and reasonable family in the landscape of Indian television populated with EXTREMELY dramatic, viciously misogynistic, and needlessly hostile family units. (Seriously those of you who do not have this context, believe me, compared to your Average Tellywood Family, the Raizadas are practically angelic, all right?) ]
It’s absolutely funny to me how much the Raizadas enjoy seeing Khushi dominate Arnav. Like, let me tell you, if this was Your Average Tellywood Show, they would all HATE Khushi from witnessing her resignation speech for humiliating their darling male son heir child. Instead, they are hilariously amused and kind of in awe and low-key cheering her on whenever they see her taking on ASR.
And, psycho Indian to-be in-laws would be all set to blame Khushi for the Arnav-Lavanya break up. Instead, they are SO partial to Khushi the whole time she works there, to the point that it actually makes Lavanya feel really bad that she’s working so hard to fit in and not fully succeeding while Khushi is doing it effortlessly. It’s not even about the sanskaar (cultural knowledge which Khushi has) or any of that - its just about the natural chemistry that Khushi has with the Raizadas, it’s much stronger and flows easier than with any other potential bahus, including La and Payal. Like, they’re all friends, and they get along, and its all fun and chill!
And by Tellywood rules, after the elopement, they should be cursing her as a characterless woman. And after the Shyam thing (during the Didi ki saut track) -  don’t even get me started, we got mad at what we got but it could have been MUCH MUCH WORSE you guys.
Nevertheless, we can’t let them off the hook completely, just because they aren’t as evil as their counterparts in some other stories! The Raizadas were definitely being unfair to Khushi, with a typical patriarchal bent, in their in their judgements and scoldings and expectations during these high crisis periods. Their reactions were understandable to a certain point (speaking about just general disappointment) as they still didn’t have the complete picture at that point. But blaming a woman and letting a man off the hook for the same mistake? Not even considering the power imbalance at play that might have influenced circumstances? Not okay!
In their favor, even when they are in the throes of confusion and understandable disappointment at Khushi, they treat her with reasonable ire. I mean, there’s no dramatic hair pulling or excessive name calling or physical violence (except for Mami’s cruel taunts, but she’s been consistent with those from day 1). Just quiet and cold disappointment, which of course, is bad enough, but it’s realistic, it’s not overdramatic. And again - in their defence - they don’t know the extent of her suffering - she never tells them the whole truth. They think these are her decisions, and they are as disappointed as they would be in a friend they trusted, who let them down. And while they may be disappointed, and they may hold back in expressing their affections, it’s clear that the inner love for her never wavers, they never cross over into hating or abusing her. Even when Anjali is at her most Shyam-manipulated distorted perspective stage, she never hates Khushi or wishes her ill; her inappropriate or misplaced reactions/emotions are mostly focused on herself, her relationship with Arnav, and the loss of her husband.
A great example of the Raizadas natural affection for Khushi is in the contract marriage period, especially Holi. They are quite easily won over with Khushi’s efforts to woo them and the madcap antics on Holi. You know why? Because they just LIKE her too much to stay mad at her! And it’s hard to stay mad all the time at somebody you inherently like and want to hang out with and make plans with lol. Once they forgive her, they let go of all the resentments. They accept her whole heartedly. They support her in all of her craziness and outlandish ideas, her wishes and ambitions like her dabba service, her home tuitions, even in her irritating Arnav shenanigans! Not quite understanding what’s wrong with contract marriage era Arnav and Khushi, they even clumsily try to play matchmaker, and marriage counsellor, trying to bring them closer to each other. Crucially, it’s not just Arnav they worry about - they genuinely and earnestly worry about Khushi and her happiness, her safety, too.
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that Khushi was adored by Nani, befriended by Anjali and later NK, and liked/respected by the likes of Akash LONG before there was any idea of “arshi” in any of their heads. In fact, Khushi was Arnav’s enemy. They actively FOUGHT Arnav to keep Khushi in their lives, to keep hanging out with her. She was on “their team” first lol. In terms of interests, hobbies, and likes, she has so much more in common with Raizadas, than with Arnav, who is a bit of an odd fish in his family. So, they like her as herself, first, and then think of her as “Arnav’s wife” whom they would be obliged to like and politely get along with no matter who she ended up being.
That natural and unconditional affection that she has from her in-laws, is a HUGE dream come true for Khushi. Seeing the kind of acceptance she gets from them, I think, heals an essentially broken part of herself and allows her to come into her fullest potential.
I THINK that’s what they were going for with the Miss India track, from the family angle - to show a full circle for Khushi’s character, to show her standing strong and independent after achieving her dreams, backed by the support of a truly loving and accepting family who are extremely proud of her, with the unwavering love of her Arnavji who is always there to catch her when she stumbles. No denying, they FAILED (big time) in the specifics of achieving this intention because of the terrible execution of the last couple of tracks in IPK.
But if I consider the overall picture, the complete end-to-end journey of Khushi in the TV show as a whole, then I can definitely see how the character arc of a outwardly happy, inwardly traumatized little orphan seeking true unconditional love and acceptance, not just from a man, but from a family, was beautifully fulfilled.

Hey , everyone!
Rant alert, but I just want to know your opinions on this.
Why is the cheating trope prevalent in ipkknd fanfic world?! There should be a disclaimer for this (as it is to each their own)! Misunderstandings are okay, and who doesn't love the jealousy track ? But, Arnav actually cheating on Khushi (and it has never been the other way around btw) ? And I have tried to read them with an open mind, but it never seems to make enough sense that Khushi forgives him because "Arshi is the endgame in every multiverse" It's so painful to read. And I thought that maybe I am not mature enough to understand the intricacies of such relationships. But I would really want to know if you like such fanfics and why?

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?
I remember back in 2017 during the Christmas Holidays, my sister and I used to watch IPKKND like crazy. I would watch 10 episodes in a day. This is my favorite Indian series of all time. I'm mostly a fan of Bollywood movies, but this series was a heartthrob. The two actors who played Arnav and Khushi had such chemistry together. I can watch and rewatch it and still never get tired. It's just like Charmed for me.

Khushi’s Heart Awakening 💖
A very underrated but pivotal scene in IPK would be the mandir scene in episode 81. In which Khushi witnesses ASR treat a little girl with great kindness and empathy, buying all the pigeons for her to make a wish for her parents.
I would argue this scene is pivotal in Khushi’s love for Arnav, I would even go as far as to suggest THIS is her heart awakening moment. At this point Khushi is attracted to Arnav physically, intrigued by him and impassioned, even (anger, irritation, competitiveness , curiousity etc) ; yet this is when the seed is planted in her heart for him and the emotional attachment starts to form, It’s so subtle and brilliant.
Also, how wonderful is the symbolism in this scene, the little girl is essentially a representation of Khushi’s inner child; Khushi who has experienced a similar trauma with her own parents, it must have been so healing for her to have witnessed Arnav treat the little girl with so much compassion!
Honey!💖

Arnav's man tears. His sexiest and most vulnerable aspect.
Tumblr media
When he could feel her pain.
Tumblr media
When she betrayed him.
Tumblr media
When he knew she loved him too.
Tumblr media
When his body and soul could feel his high.
Tumblr media
When he was helpless
Tumblr media
When he fought his inner turmoil.
A man so vulnerable, shed a few tears.
He let them overpower, all his fears.
Even if he stayed strong, for all of these years.
Yet again he was in his car, lost, shifting gears.
-my man just can't take a break can he?
Permabanned.

IPKKND LIVE BLOG SEASON 1 [Epi 5]
Let'z welocme Shyam today. *sarcasm intended* (-_-) (I know I wrote the wrong spelling by mistake but then I noticed it and thought let it be. Who cares. Shyam himself won't come here to correct me.)
There, I gave you the biggest spoiler of the episode, in advance to ruin your mood.
Heh. I am evil.
Now don't leave without reading it, okay? I do a lot of mehnat into writing these. :')
Come. Let'z begin this then *sighs irritated-ly*
Arnav's manager shows him the live news with the footage, being telecasted in some channel. (Kamlesh Khabri ji, was that yours ? Lol.)
2. Did you-too- wonder about that 'smart' phone, Arnav was holding? Turns out, I could find it.
3. "Aaj ka saajan" Lmao. (Today's lover)
4. Arnav, while watching that clip, being telecasted, flashes back to the line Khushi said last, before leaving. "Devi maiyya ki marzi ke bina koi kuch bhi nahi kar sakta, koi Arnav Singh Raizada bhi nahi." (No one can do anything without Devi-Maiyya's wish, not even some Arnav Singh Raizada.")
5. Basically, he is thinking, that, he has shown her place to 'that girl', who had said that he can't do anything without some 'devi maiyya's wish'.
6. This is clear in his reply to Akash's protest for over paying MR . "Meri beizatti karne ki himmat naa kabhi kisi ne ki hai, naa ab koi karega." (No one, has ever disrespected me, nor anyone would, now, have the guts to.) Oh. So, the problem is your ego issue.
I should have known it. Khushi had the misfortune to meet you and now she is paying the price with her reputation and dignity, being butchered like animal slaughtering. You, a__hole.
7. Khushi and her Amma are getting molested by a bunch of perverts.
8. Babuji tries to stop them, but he gets a hard push, which results in Shashi losing his balance and his head hits a nearby pole.
9. The men are very adamant and one of them tugs at Khushi's dupatta.
10. There. A man, wearing, a beautiful shiny brown pair of office shoes, with a matching pair of trousers, is shown stepping down from somewhere. He starts walking (towards the scene?)
11. A Turquoise bracelet gleaming in his right wrist. (why the fck isn't he wearing his wedding ring?) He is shown from behind some -shops?- He walks upto where babuji had fallen down. He helps him to stand up.
12. Wow. Daiyya Ho! What an entry.
13. Everything aside. Aabhaas looks so fckin handsome in that outfit. Everything. Literally, everything about his look is so freaking perfect. The colour combo of the shirt and pant. The shoes. Oh. God. I am in love with those shoes.
IDK. It's just looks so- fantastic?-deliciously beautiful?- I am simping for those, quite literally. Is it normal for some human to simp on a pair of shoes? Whatever. So. Yeah. I was talking about the look. The flare of the pant, as he walks. His haircut. Like. Wow. Absolutely ravishing.
14. And he starts beating those mfs, one by one.
15. After beating those hooligans. He walks back to Babuji, to check up on him. He tells him to get a band-aid for his cut. Babuji is touched by his words and thanks him for the help.
16. Then, Shyam turns to look at where Amma was standing but is transfixed to see Khushi shyly(hesitantly?) looking at him with tears in her eyes, from behind her Amma, just like any other rom-com film, only that, this isn't any other rom-com film. (the Sitar and Tabla BG score used, here, is so freaking beautiful and also kind of suits him coz it sounds something like wicked and graceful.)
17. We can see, he is caught off guard, by the way, Khushi is looking at him; by her beauty. He realizes her hesitation and picks up her fallen dupatta and offers it to her but Amma takes it back. He might have wanted to talk to her but, before that, he is pulled out of his trance, by babuji and they bid him a goodbye.
Khushi turns back to look at him, one last time. Only that, this isn't the last time, they would be meeting. Alas. Khushi as well as we, don't even have an idea about, the depth, of his obsession with Khushi that, will go, after this moment.
18. Look at the absolute contrast, in the way, they introduced both the anti-hero and the main villain. At this point, half of the audience might have already started shipping Shyam and Khushi.
19. The sequence, at Gomti Sadan, is so freaking emotional. Khushi is, again, getting punished for the crime that she didn't even commit. (Or until they think that she shouldn't have left the house at all.)
20. Even babuji cannot come to forgive her, this time. Garima decides to send, both of them, away to Delhi. Buaji, who always had an over-reaction for every situation, was, a minute ago, shouting at both of them to say or do something, to punish Khushi,(She really likes to see Khushi suffering. Bloody sadist.) is shocked. Lol. "Dilli kauno davaai ki pudhia thori haee, ki ghol ke pilaay dio. Sab theek." (Delhi isn't some bundle of medicines that dissolving it in water and making it drink someone, would cure everything.)
21. The moment she realizes that she has to take both of the girl's responsibility, she spits out the water from her mouth. Lmao. She tries to convince both of them but is not successful. Her discomfort is so visible, as she gets to taste the result of her instigation. LMAO. LMAO. LMAO. Buaji ab maza aaya? Lol.
22. Anjali comes in with a thaali, diya and some incense sticks burning. Arnav is immediately irritated at the sight of his Didi (initially he used to call her 'didi' then he resorted to 'Di').
23. She asks about whether he ever thought about the well-being of 'that girl' before creating such a huge ruckus and Arnav, I think, is caught off guard.
24. We are immediately taken to 'that girl', who is so innocent that she could not even think that her 'woh' had released those 'taswirein'.
25. She vows to find out who was the one to release them.
26. Deepali's foundation was so off, in this scene. (Literally, her face looks so pale.)
27. Payal asks Khushi, in a challenging(or admonishing?) way, that how will she find out, ready to scold her, for even mentioning to do something else, lest it worsens the already messy situation, they are in.
28. Screen cuts to Arnav, still in his thoughts (maybe regretting? Lol. No.) as he comes out of his reverie and says " Soch ke hi toh kiya tha." (It was a thought out move.)
29. Liar. (Liar, pants on fire. Lol.) No. You were not thinking when you ordered for those videos to be released, Arnav. Why are you lying then? Tell your Didi that you did it, in a fit of rage, to show 'someone' that you actually hold a lot of power. Bloody b_stard.
30. Lol. "Ab aap apna yeh 'naari mukti morcha', yahan mat nikaliye, yeh mera office hai." (Now, please don't start your 'Women's Liberation March' here, this is my office.)
31. Lmao. The brother-sister banter is so heart warming and fun to watch :)
32. Both Khushi and Payal reach the office of 'Khabrein 24x7' (News 24x7). Khushi, is nervous, and clutches Payal's hand in fear. Payal understands her distress and smiles victoriously, that now she will be able to convince her sister, to return back to their comfort zone.
33. But, her sister is more courageous than she seems to be. And, true to her nature, she tells Payal to take a seat and walks up to the reception, gulping nervously.
34. She asks to have a word with their company's 'maalik' (owner). But, the receptionist tells her, for that she would have to go to Delhi.
35. After a few minutes of deciding, when she wants to talk, to the receptionist again, she tells her to wait for sometime without paying any attention that she is 'the same girl'.
36. Sometime later, the workers of the office realize that Khushi is that 'TV wali ladki' and they start mocking her and make fun of her situation. They circle her in the center of the office and keep laughing.
37. Payal is disappointed and reduces to tears immediately, she quickly walks up to Khushi but loses the courage to take her out of it, as her feet get frozen, due to the nervous-ness, by all that negative attention, that, they are getting.
38. Khushi noticing, that her sister is getting affected by the mess that they have managed to land into, speaks up. She, while shedding tears, knocks some sense into them. And they are.....umm, immediately regretting it? No realization?
I mean to say that they could have shown them realizing their mistake, like, they could have taken some time? Then, that, 'sorry we were wrong' could have made much more sense. Did you too feel that? No? Only me? Ok. Leave it. (Pata nahi choro.)
39. So. Yeah. They 'feel' sorry immediately. And regret it. But, Khushi does not want their apology. She wants the answers which she had come for. They reveal that they got the orders from the higher authorities ('Woh clippings release karne ke orders upar se aaye the.')
40. Khushi asks who send them those clippings and is unsurprisingly shocked. I know. I don't make sense. But. Let me explain. See. She is so naive, that, she didn't even realize the extent of power and influence that ASR commands.
Just because, she got to 'talk' to him personally, in a fairly public place (The Dargah), without any appointment, in his own office, doesn't mean that he is not 'that' much influential. It's just, he chose to have a conversation about the topic with her. He could have easily ignored her. But, he didn't.
So, my point is, she could not even come to think that only he would be the one, who could do this, even after, getting into a heated argument with 'The ASR'. She had already started treating him like an acquaintance. Like, he is a random normal person, just like her. And, not some Business Tycoon of the Fashion Industry. She had already started treating him like an equal, like a normal person, of her 'status'.
41. So. She's shocked. Screen stops at her face. Precap begins. *quickly pauses it* Spoilers. (Although I had already watched it once earlier *smiles nervously* I am not a hypocrite, okay? I had watched it out of excitement.)Ok. Bye.
P.S. : No P.S. Bye. Have a great day/night ahead. God bless you.

IPKKND/Teri Meri/12th Anniversary
❤️Dance of Souls
Tumblr media
If you love someone enough, you can make them invincible. Your feelings for them are so strong they work as a magical shield, protecting them from all harm and pain. ~ Linda Kage ~
Tumblr media
She stood there, defeated momentarily by the challenges of her life. It had nothing to do with this dance or this challenge; it was Shyam and his menacing ways to torture her physically and mentally. The whole world in front of her was unknown to those wounds she was hiding behind those closed eyes. But her tears left one heart wounded as always on the poolside who could never bear his soul to bring peace in her. She couldn't be defeated by anyone in this world but him, and right now, that was his challenge, far more important than anything. Her tears were drawn to his like a moth to a flame.
The music thumped into the room with a thunder of claps, and she turned to the neon lights flashing upon the one who stood there to join her in this quest. Eyes met, and he moved closer to distract her with his raging challenge...
Tumblr media
"This is your last performance, Khushi, won't you finish it?
A teasing smile to see the effect of his words. She gave him a sharp look as if she remembered why she was there in the first place.
“Amid the darkness, love becomes the guiding light.” – Unknown

“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.” – Audrey Hepburn.
Arnav held on to her hand, not letting her go with determination and anger, and she responded, turning her face,
 "Teri meri,meri teri kahani...
He made her twirl into his arms, making her lean on him... .
."ek ladka aur ek ladki ki yeh kahani hai nai do lafzoon mein yeh bayan na ho paye"..
Khushi followed, and a small smile spread across his face...
Everyone opened their mouths, yet he was careless of what, why, who, etc. All he had in his mind was that if he were to fall in love, he would. And if, as a result, he would appear to be stupid, disillusioned, and of poor judgment, he will. And he would be damned if he cared what other people think. he would rather be considered all these things than not love. If he loved her and stood alone as her protector on a horse, he would ride that horse with his head held high. This was his spirit. He was unbreakable. He was Arnav Singh Raizada with a brain, and no one could defeat him in this ride...
Holding her hand, he pulled her closer, and the rest became history.

“Hold me as if I were the most fragile object a feather touch could break. Dance with me with the same animal craving, with the same desire you would make love to me.”― Tatjana Ostojic
While dancing, he relished that delicious feeling of freedom, the delirium of being with her, and his heart being born again. It’s like he's being made with new feelings, the ones he was deprived of all this time. ASR smiled when their eyes met, and she lost herself in him. Like always, he was protecting her from the world.
Not the ways he danced turned them on: She and her happiness were all he could think of as his dancing skills got the better of him. Amidst all, he lost himself in her, and every eye witnessed their love tonight.
She glanced back every time with surprise and saw the exterior of a man she knew torn and discarded, a little she knew and thought he was the prince charming she always dreamed of.
How they looked at each other and cruelly forgotten was a beautiful symbol of how much they both needed to satisfy their yearning hearts. He protected this intense, precious bond they shared that was more than desire, tenderness, adoration, and love.
“May I never tire of expressing myself
may I find contentment in listening to you
may there be no constraints on time
and may we be bound together as a single knot
you, time, and I.”
― Sanu Sharma
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This time, there was nothing gentle about their kiss of hands. It's all the passion and wet kisses of curious hands flowing with their moves and hearts. Unsure what she was doing, she emulated his actions, allowing her body to tangle with his. It brought a growl from his heart that made her shiver when he threw her in the air, keeping all her weight on him, letting her hair sprawl over him. Then this kiss became hungrier and deeper, almost violent, as his hands began moving, caressing her everywhere.
He kneaded her back, urging her flush against his skin, then let his fingers slide over her arms and her sides before his hands suddenly clasped her waist. He lifted, twirled, pulled, and made her believe he was her prince charming...
ASR was this colossal mystery she wanted to take time-solving. He had danger written all over him, and there was a risk of getting burned, but she wanted to play in the fire tonight. Why? She had no idea. And neither hadn't he.
One of his hands ran up her neck and through her hair, the other supporting my waist. He kept his promise and never let her fall again. She was held up by a dizzying suspension, feeling like she could sprout wings and fly. Time stood still, and the only thing she could think about was his breath over her, his eyes bored into hers, his hands holding hers, and nothing more. She was safe and protected in his arms as always.
Tumblr media
Hardly aware of the little mewls of need and pleasure slipping from her heart, Khushi withstood that as long as she could and then followed his hands to caress his face and pulled her head back so that he could cover her body with his. She could trust him with closed eyes.
Much to his relief, she gave in to his silent request and held onto him again and again, his breath demanding and hungry as he touched her with his lips many times tonight. All he was doing was following his heart for the woman who enticed him in his days and allured him in his nights. She was unaware of her bewitching him in myriad unknown ways.
So consumed by his desires and touches was she that Khushi was only vaguely aware of it when ASR clasped her by the waist and turned her toward him. So, when the thunder of clap suddenly broke their little private moment, she was somewhat surprised to find herself so close to him. She saw amusement flicker across his face as he took in her startled expression, as he was mending his ways, but she was dwelling in another world tonight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Khushi's instinct was to cover herself with her saree and walk away from him. She wanted to avoid his intense gaze, but she looked back as always and remained still. The doubts, the raging uncertainties, the million questions, the pain and many sufferings he caused her...her eyes sought to find an answer in him; Arnav understood her hesitation and why she was pulling herself back. He knew he had much to redeem, and there was only one way: by apologising and seeking forgiveness. He was attritional; as he looked at her with eyes of no mask, just a tinge of genuine and sincere apology ...Tonight, he found his heartbeat again along with her.
Teri Meri Kahani...
“I’ve become your heartbeat, making you mine
Upon every kiss of passion, our souls shine” ― Munia Khan
