Nevermore sexuality headcanons:
Lenore: 100% lesbian, like, girl, you're obvious
Annabel: Lesbian, always pretends to be straight but we know the truth
Duke: Full bi, I mean, we all know he flirted with the Deans at least once
Pluto: Pansexual cat boy
Berenice: Lesbian, and completely at ease with it, one of the very few Nevermore students to be out (with Duke)
Eulalie: Doesn't care about it, never even asked herself the question
Morella: Pansexual, but totally oblivious (she would totally be the type to answer "You mean you like me as a friend right?"
Ada: Totally bi, but in a serious denial (still think she is straight)
Prospero: Closeted gay, knows his attraction but is real deep in the closet
Montresor: Don't give a fuck about gender but he doesn't labelise himself either
Will: Don't know either, but I think he is attracted to men at some point

gender is genre, it's labelisation, it's a grammar if not always a litteral linguistic one, it's a metaphorical one
when genders are not just genre they're genre of sexes, different sexes being different genre of beings, those sex are genre because of different sex organs and/or diferent sexual activity and/or different looks and/or different field of activity and/or simply because they have been labeled as such...
and as even prescriptive grammar might say rules have their exeption
_
"What indeed is it to write and speak correctly for him? — unless according to the rules that he teaches?" -Paul Berthelot, "The Gospel of the Hour" (1912)
is gender our tool or we made a tool by it? are genre open fields to explore and create or enclosure old and new where we are parked? is grammar a yoke that you have to wear to be deemed worth speaking to or a result of communication seeked?
should we seek gender freedom (its free affirmation) or freedom from gender (its abolition)?
well yes!

Hi Justine !! Can I have your opinion on a longlasting debate ? When did late antiquity end and when did the middle ages start ? I know it's not happened in one day and it's more of a long process but I also know scholars don't agree on what century the change was really visible...
Hi Gabrielle, and thanks for that amazing question! Oh yes, this is a long, long debate because actually there is more than one answer to that question. Firstly, we do not forget that the purpose of periodisation is a european-centered question only, because it is a statment who was gradually made during the 19th century, during the first period of history construction.
Best example for that is the definition of what relieves from history and from prehistory. Answer to that is generally the using of writing, but we know that some people did not make a used of writing during a long time, like Gaulish peoples, leading to the creation of an “in between” period, aka the “protohistory”, for peoples who definitely lived during the history but without matching the original definition.
Long story short, I really think that periodisation is a doomed way, because it tends to categorise eras without real significance. I also heard by my master DR that for his own opinion as a specialist of the first Byzantine Empire’s period, antiquity lasted until the 6th century AD, at least! But take a look on it. I’m sorry in advance, but my answer will mostly speak about the Gauls, and so occidental Europe, because this is actually my major topic.
In the case of the early middle ages/late antiquity, question is what makes a period an antique subject rather than a medieval one. The point is often the beginning of christianism. But christianism became proeminent during the 4th century, meaning that a long period of the roman empire should be labelised as medieval?
Other point could be the fall of Rome in 410 during the Gothic invasion. But to be honest, with the foundation and the transfert of the political capital city in Constantinople under the Constantinian dynasty, it was a long time since Rome did not appear as the political center of the Roman world (plus the Tetrarchy period was a time during which political leaders were in a constant move).
So if we can not denied the symbolism of the fall of Rome and its great impact in people during that time, when you look at society and economic situation, there is no significant change after Rome’s downfall. In France, we often make use of the year 476 for determining the end of Antiquity, with the deposition of last emperor Romulus Augustulus and so the end of the political domination of Rome in the West part.
So, if we respect the periodisation and its statment, Merovingian Gaul for example should be considered as the first Medieval period, and that is what it is usually done in history class. But if we take a look on it, the choice is truly debatable, as Merovingian regnum still used late-roman organisation, economic system, religious beliefs and hierarchy (i.e. the first christianism) and even enjoyed circus ludi in arenas. In fact, the whole cliches about Middle Ages, the fortified castle with the dungeon, the knight and his armor, jousting art did not exist still. So, does it make them “antiquity” or “medieval”?
On my own opinion, we should not separate Merovingian period of its immediate predecessors, i.e. the Tetrarchy period. If it could be a periodisation, I think it must be done by englobing this two periods side by side, but again, I’m not fond of periodisation at all and call for a resignation of all of it for the best. Now, I also think there is a great change between Merovingian and Carolingian times in the Gauls in particular, with the slow progress of what it would be called later the “feudal system”, so if we take the Gauls only as an example, then the beginning of Medieval period should be seen in it, and so the definitive end of Late Antiquity during the mid-8th to 9th century.

Nb maki coming out to muse?
Maki just kind of says it as a passing thought one day, kind of a, “Hey Maki, how are you?” “Fine, I realised I’m nonbinary last night.” sort of situation.
Because of Maki’s personality, they really don’t make a big deal out of their identity and shrug off a lot of the girls’ questions and worries, especially whenever they were asked if they’d tell her parents.
The girls finally work it out of them that they just don’t really identify with either of the gender binaries, and liked the general, mostly non-labelisation aspect of being nonbinary.

I HAVE RETURNED FROM MY SLUMBERRR--
This took so long, wth- However, it's all good as this was pretty much the hardest part in terms of the VN. Now all i have left is the sprites, yayy~! èwé)9
There were moments i would be a little frustrated while linearting, because i would go back and forth with corrections (i stg i'm usually moderate on this, but i suppose a some sort perfectionnism is bound to emerge when you want to deliver a presentable project).
I ended up discarding about one CG, and the .1/.2 labelisation exists due to my brain mapping of some scenes.

Writing Exploration - Liesbeth
I see rough brick, and strong limestone arches.
Pleasant in image, but fallacious here.
Brandished red with words, come fear.
Through the awkward square, a man fast marches,
Aware of its shape, enclosure martian.
Embodying glass reveal lavish past.
Paintings, mosaic and golden carved shapes mask
The much-decorated killer within.
An image of power speciminiased.
In loneliness, they are miserable;
Far removed, depicted unbiblical.
Truefully exposed killer, labelised.
Valued characters and despicable.
He’s not a legend, he’s a criminal.
“Knight with a swords, vandalism is there. There is a red vibe. We falls down, hurt. Blood in his sandals. Black and grey. Tired paintings, having talks. Cliche on the walls. Gold shiny. The knight is strapped, not with a gun but really strapped.”
  Knight of red vandalism.
Swords are there.
Fall hurt.
Tired of painting.
Strapped.
I see the rough bricks’ surface juxtapose with a rich interior of gold leafed plaster,  precisely cut marble stones and marble figures. Cut into the marble is the  repeated word ‘KILLER’, in a different colored stone. A miserable person is crouching against the wall in brightly decorative clothes.
Rough
Rich
Figures
Repeated
Miserable
Rough-rich figures repeated miserable.
Futile fingers inconsiderable.
Seated silence private amenable;
to future judges, uncleanable, demeanable.
STOP! STOP! stop! Put away your cameras! For heaven’s sake. This isn’t utopia. Swords are there.
Musings of a Stone within the Stones
Who is beside me, I can’t know. I feel their  weight and and their grit on my skin. It is a  strange thing. Bound, by the inconceivable.  Although not fully inconceivable, I can  smell their dust as it pelts my face in the fast wind. It smells like home, not like here. All around me are harsh tones of grey.  Constructions most alien. Take me back to the banks of my birth.
Oh knight of red vandalism, spare my babe!
Rising from the regular concrete slabs, a rounded stack of stone, with a terracotta  roof, had his attention one more. Gazing absentmindedly away from the counter and the  cluster of customers he had recently forgotten about, he felt a strange atmosphere  from the little building which he couldn’t place. Its bold writing should have made  him feel uneasy, as he sensed it did to others, but it didn’t. The  beautifully-accurate stone arches enticed his eye, but it wasn’t themselves that were  the root of his interest. There was an intangibility of something else. Maybe if he  looked into it for long enough he would figure it out.
Strapped to a legacy, false. Blood Red Curry
1. Start by frying the citizens gently in a saucepan to heat and extract  the flavour.
2. Before the citizens start to realise, add the sliced propaganda and some  of the taxes.
3. Use half of the rest of the taxes aggressively to enforce the flavour.
4. Leave to simmer for 3 - 5 years.
5. If some of the citizens begin to boil, quickly remove them before they  tarnish the flavour of the remaining citizens.
6. Meanwhile, boil the water and crumble the religion into it until it is  saturated.
7. Slowly add the religion stock to the citizens and propaganda and put the  lid on the pan to isolate the contents from the outside.
8. While waiting for it all to cook, set the table with large palaces and  art.
9. Now, put the saucepan and its contents in the bin, leaving only the  palaces and art behind.
10.Enjoy your legacy!
Over the silence rose a voice profound.
Under the violence rose a legacy serene.
Behind the lavish mask sinks the truth away.
It’s incredible,  It must be  SIGNIFICANT.
Where are the others?  They must be  INSIGNIFICANT.
To cruel history,  We Fall Hurt.
I feel inferior. You are inferior. Lost to history, will be your exterior.   In a world of recording, your legacy extinct.   Do you care about your ‘legacy’? No, I suppose.   I’m not like them,
Insecuriose.
Unmasked.
Revealed.
Exposed.
Rethought.
Questioned.
Doubted.
Regretted.
Enlightened.
I’m  Tired of Painting.
