✹.⠀⠀،،⠀ABOUT ISMAEL GANEM⠀⸻⠀michaela's race engineer, ismael ganem, is perhaps every fan's favorite member of her team. affectionately referred to as "izzie", the egyptian-british engineer was a driver in his own merit, having raced in both british formula and formula three before leaving to pursue education. ganem first worked with michaela during her successful formula three season. though both would leave the team at the end of the 2015 season, michaela to move to gp2 and ismael to join aston martin's engineering team, they would be reunited in 2023. famously, michaela claims ismael was the one to convince her manager, guido, to pursue a seat with aston martin after a series of fiery disputes with mclaren. the pairing of izzie and mickey has been exceptionally successful with ganem even joking he would follow sommers to whatever team she may move to in the future.

O nosso maior problema chama-se “TAP”, afirma Ana Oliveira (4TOURS)

O operador turístico 4TOURS é uma marca legalmente constituída em outubro de 2019 pela empresa 4GTS, ‘nascida’ em 2017, em Braga. Enquanto DMC no mercado europeu, dedica-se ao mercado asiático e a operar exclusivamente numa lógica B2B. Dadas as especificidades dos nossos potenciais clientes, procuramos escolher um nome simples e ao mesmo tempo transmitisse o nosso propósito. O número “4” diz respeito àquilo que acreditamos ser os pilares da empresa, nomeadamente, responsabilidade, exigência, qualidade e satisfação, e as siglas “GTS” significam “Global Travel Services”, explica Ana Oliveira, responsável pelo projeto 4TOURS. Mais tarde, em 2019, e tendo em vista o crescimento da 4GTS, foi decidido alargar a atividade para o mercado nacional, mantendo sempre a lógica B2B. Por forma a distinguir os mercados dentro da organização optaram por criar a marca 4TOURS. E é sob o domínio dela que estão presentes em território nacional. Nesse sentido, a 4TOURS dedica-se à comercialização viagens organizadas, nomeadamente circuitos culturais em grupo no mercado europeu. Quanto à 4GTS, a sua criação teve por base um investimento privado por parte de dois sócios, interessados em diversificar as suas áreas de negócio, e após vários estudos de mercado reconheceram o potencial do setor turístico, em geral, e desta atividade, em particular. Com a pandemia Covid-19, a administração decidiu abrir o capital e reorganizar a estrutura social. Esta mudança permitiu agregar valor, novos investimentos e conhecimento, pelo que, atualmente, mantém-se apenas um dos sócios-fundadores e juntaram-se dois novos sócios. Atualmente, as funções de diretor da 4GTS são exercidas por Alfredo Ribeiro, profissional com grande experiência no setor do turismo. Importa também realçar que os clientes 4TOURS são as agências de viagem portuguesas.

Tal como foi já referido, a 4TOURS nasceu na reta final de 2019 com o lançamento oficial marcado para fevereiro de 2020. Infelizmente, a pandemia antecipou-se e este lançamento ficou em stand-by até meados do ano de 2021. Com o levantamento de algumas restrições de circulação no segundo semestre de 2021, a 4TOURS começou a registar alguma procura e realizou os seus primeiros grupos em setembro. Como suportaram todo o período de pandemia? O período de pandemia foi duro para qualquer empresa do setor turístico e na 4GTS/4TOURS não foi exceção. Desde o inicio que foram tomadas medidas por forma a manter a estrutura de custos equilibrada face aos tempos incertos que se avizinhavam, optamos por reduzir o número de colaborares afetos à empresa através de acordos e no caso dos colaboradores que continuaram connosco, recorremos à medida do lay-off e a capitais próprios, explica Ana Oliveira, acrescentando que este período foi aproveitado para melhorar todos os processos internos da empresa com o intuito de minimizar as quebras de produtividade no arranque da atividade. Como vê o inverno 2022/2023? E o ano de 2023? Salientando que o inverno 2022/2023 está a ser bastante positivo, os circuitos de Mercados de Natal esgotaram e as partidas para os circuitos de Carnaval estão com excelentes perspetivas, a nossa entrevistada é de opinião que a procura para 2023 irá ressentir o impacto do aumento de custos nos bens de primeira necessidade e consequentemente o orçamento disponível para viajar será menor. Todavia, nem todas as classes sociais serão afetadas da mesma forma, pelo que em termos de procura da 4TOURS não antevemos uma queda tão significativa. Com que problemas se debate mais a 4TOURS? O maior problema que identificamos no nosso dia-a-dia de trabalho, e não sendo exclusivo da 4TOURS, chama-se “TAP”. As sucessivas alterações, cancelamentos e atrasos comprometem todo o planeamento e operacionalização das viagens organizadas, onde muitas vezes não é possível providenciar alterativas válidas e em tempo útil para os nossos clientes.
