Surely there was a better way to name this episode. Why not call it, “Kakashi’s Parenting Advice?” Or “Sasuke Gets All of His Socialization From Snakes?” Or even, “I Scream For 23 Minutes Straight Because Kakashi Making Fun of His Son Sasuke While Simultaneously Reminding Him That He Needn’t Distance Himself From The Ones He Loves And Asserting Supreme Dad Status™ Is All I’ve Ever Asked For From the Naruto Franchise?”

u know whats weird when kaka seals sasu curse seal in part 1 he is like wow too tired to even argue but in fact in canon eps. there's not a lot of proof that sasu really properly argues-argues (i mean i guess during the bell test sasu attacks kaka but that wasnt really arguing and actually when kaka is sitting on him sasu doesnt really say anything) which suggests that we truly missed out on some awesome dad!kaka moments hearing his 12 yrs old son arguments and i AM SAD why did kishi do this

Honestly the moment I most want to see is Sasuke’s birthday that year, because it fell during the time that Kakashi was training him privately. I want to see Kakashi trying to plan a birthday celebration for the angriest thirteen-year-old in the world. 

Kakashi, at Sasuke’s birthday dinner: Happy birthday I bought you some kunai

Sasuke: Thanks. I will use them to avenge my clan

Kakashi: I’d rather you didn’t 

Sasuke: You’re giving me a weapon I’m not supposed to kill anyone with?

Kakashi: No, sometimes you’ll probably have to kill people, but you know how I feel about vengeance, especially at the dinner table

im looking for kaka dad headcanons or fic recs do u have any?

I recommended a few here not too long ago! Some of them have updated since then, so I’ve edited the post. 

As for headcanons, here’s one: Kakashi makes a Konoha armband with the Hatake symbol on it specifically for Sasuke. (He’d make one for his other kids, but I think both Sai and Naruto would have reason to wear the spiral, and Sakura wouldn’t mind it either.) Kakashi doesn’t see the need to use it himself, as a clan of one, but he keeps it if Sasuke ever wants to wear a symbol that has neither the burdens of Konoha nor the Uchiha.
