Hopefully season 2 of The Society comes sooner rather than later. But here’s a couple headcannons for what I hope/think will happen

- it starts three months into the new government. To the public, Lexie and Harry (with Campbell) have a good and polished image and everything looks clean. But behind the scenes things are so bad. Harry is dangling and is so addicted to the drugs Campbell provides him. He hates how he’s even wrapped up in the politics and he wishes he could’ve just never taken any pills in the first place. It controls him so much. He’s angry when he doesn’t have any to take, but it all melts away when takes another pill. He thinks about Allie and what she would say or do if she knew how bad things are for him. She’s kept on house arrest with Will and Harry wants to be the one there with her instead of him, but he pushes those thoughts away and takes more pills.

- Lexie is so terrified. She doesn’t feel comfortable at all. She thought they were in an alliance but as soon as they were declared co mayors she’s felt like a puppet on a string. The guard scares her still and they don’t care enough about her so they turn the other way when Campbell hits her or grabs her. She’s never talked to him at school before and now she wishes she had stuck to that. It didn’t take her long to put the pieces together about why Elle was arrested. Lexie’s gotten to know Harry better, when he’s trying to stay off the pills he’ll come to her room and just babble about his life before and how much he misses Allie and he’ll usually fall asleep on the foot of her bed. One day Campbell hit her so hard she ended up with a black eye and Harry just froze. Harry helped her to her room and she cried until she fell asleep, hoping to wake up from the nightmare

- Campbell tries to find more ways to control them. He’s running out of pills to give Harry and Lexie’s fear won’t be enough. He takes more pills that look similar to the ones he gives Harry and scratches out the name and gives it to him. He scares Lexie into talking and campaigning, because she’s charming and smart and the people listen to her. Campbell’s pushing for Allies excecution, but It’s Luke who comes to him and tells him that he’ll tell Everyone he lies if Allie dies. So he keeps her under house arrest.

- Helena and Luke aren’t on the same page, there’s something wrong but she can’t place what it is. But she sees Campbell and Luke talk about how he lied about Allie and now she understands. She wants to believe that he’ll do the right thing and tell her so that they can come up with a way to free them. But a month later she asks him about it and he admits everything. Helena leaves her ring on the table and walks out.

- Allie can’t stand being alone. They’ve kept her and Will in different houses (theyre right next to each other though) so she’s mostly alone. She had one surprise visit from Harry. She could tell he was high because of how much he rambled. He talked a lot about Campbell and Lexie and the facade they keep and she feels bad for thinking it should have been Campbell instead of Casandra. And then Harry tells her he loves and her and she doesn’t know what to say. So she kisses him next to an open window and Will’s heart breaks for the girl he thought he loved as he sees her through his own window

- Harry, Lexie, and Elle kill Campbell one day. He just pushed too hard and Lexie stabs him in the chest. He’s still up and he tries to grab her, but Elle shoots Campbell in the head. The Guard walks into it and they know the pain Campbell caused them so they help burry the body and hide the evidence

Idk if someone said this before (I think I may read something similar before but don’t remember clearly) but I have this theory (?)

I’m rewatching The Society and on the first episode Harry mentions them being in “a replica of their town & the have to cross the woods to get home” that remained me of the maze runner

What if the Pfeiffer dude put them there (as Harry says in a replica of their town) to see if they’re any better than their parents & are worth saving

(I don’t remember corectly bc I read the book a while ago and didn’t read all the books and didn’t watch the last movie either + I don’t remember a lot of the second movie either) but in the maze runner there’s a sickness/virus (I think) so my second option it’s that the smell = the virus

(I watched the show way back when it first came out so I don’t remember everything, but I’m rewatching now and I’ll see if my theory could be suitable, also I remember in the thanksgiving episode they talked about they were on a parallel universe or something like that and I don’t remember what their conclusions were)

also... theory number 2, they traveled to the future (Gordie said that thing about the eclipse that was supposed to happen in 2024)

Why I don't hate Lexie (The Society)

- she has reason to be against Allie. She was grossly humiliated by The Guard, and Allie didn't even bother reprimanding or Talking to them about what happened. She was completely un-empathetic and basically told Lexie to suck it up and deal with it. Note that she only treated Lexie this way because she thought Lexie was mean about her in an improv piece, while she showed Elle much more compassion after finding out Campbell was abusing her (yes Elle had a more extreme situation, but deciding to be immature about something or treat someone unfairly because of your personal feelings is a super bad trait for a leader.)

- she was questioned by the guard in a dehumanizing manner all for just speaking her mind on Allie's position as mayor (freedom of speech isn't for hate speech, but it isn't and shouldn't be completely illegal to make a fuckin joke about a (arguably) politician in an improv excersise.

- Harry felt the exact same way about Allie's methods, and was far more extreme in being against her, but of course he's the one everyone "hopes is redeemed" bc he's a "cute" white boy. He even gets more love than Will, who is a much more moral character as well as a better written one. He had no reason to decide to imprison Allie and the rest of the committee, he just wanted power, while Lexie was upset at the lack of compassion after what happened with The Guard. If you're gonna hate Lexie at least fuckin hate Harry too because his Only reason for his bullshit is that he doesn't like feeling poor.

- because I am still fucking furious that Allie didn't give two Shits that another girl was humiliated in front of two boys, and acted like Lexie was stupid for being upset. That's literally the exact problem so many leaders have, of not caring about these kinds of issues.

TLDR; I'm not on the side of Lexie, except for with the issue of her being humiliated by The Guard, but I also find it hard to side with Allie after how she responded to Lexie telling her about what happened. That's what happens when leaders get too much power, and I hope it's being portrayed that way intentionally.

Also, upon rewatch of some Society eps, I have realized that even knowing who they are, I have a really hard time telling Gwen and Lexie apart. In context, there’s no problem - Gwen’s the one who’s dating Clark but not that into him, and tries to come on to Grizz, Lexie’s the one who hates Allie and wants to be Mayor. But in the early eps, they sometimes appear without context and I’ll see a face and just be like...
